Stumbled across this place looking for somewhere for an afternoon drink before we had to fly out. Had a bottle of wine to share and ordered their Malbec which was delightful. The bar is quaint and has a lot of character. The outside lane definitely has a European feel about it which really makes you forget you're in Melbourne. Great service - staff are very friendly and accommodating! We didn't order any food but the smell of food wafting from the kitchen made it very tempting! Maybe next time :)

Quick and friendly service, plenty of newspapers to read, nice bread and a generous serve of ago, although the feta with it was a little sparse. Coffee was good, atmosphere inside the cafe is beautiful with lots of dark wood, good place for brekkie. The menu for rest of day looked interesting too

The Macchiato with Almond milk I have had there on four different occasions, is so far the best I have had in Melbourne. I say this with every bit of confidence! While I haven't tried anything from the menu, I did have a Banoffee Muffin which they make fresh everyday and it was incredible.I believe they make fresh muffins daily and the flavours always change. The food looks amazing from what I saw and the customers seemed to enjoy it all.

This is one of my most favourite places. The food is great, their wine list is extensive and because I come here often for client meetings, the staff know me well and are always friendly, smiling and helpful. The space upstairs is a like a Melbourne hideaway and is great for a work lunch. It gets busy though so it is popular. I love the atmosphere and their coffee is always hot and strong!

It's okay. They don't cut your pizza before serving it to you. They give you a blunted steak knife and you are meant to cut it yourself. We ended up just tearing it apart.

Love this bar and restaurant! Reminds me of an amazing bistro somewhere France. Order downstairs and take your pick from a huge selection of wine and a few beers. Menu is always on point. If the steak sandwhich is on the menu make sure you grab it with a rich red, like an Aussie Shiraz!

Lovely evening spot as well. Was here on a Monday evening. Great staff, very knowledgeable about the wine and helped us choose a very nice glass. Pizza was nice, crispy crust and lovely sauce. We had the salami, capsicum, olive and feta pizza with a garden salad. Perfect. I noticed all the 1 star reviews were from people who didn't even eat here, and the offensive sign has been removed. Very comfortable spot for a relaxing evening meal. Will return.

I tried strong flat white (with extra shot and no charges for that) and croissant. The staff was amazingly friendly and cool. The place was beautiful in and out. I did not order alcohol but I think that a great variety of drinks were available.

Dark and moody, with a very rustic chic décor. The coffee is excellent, the pizzas are interesting and really yum. Staff are cool, quick and friendly service and I loved going here when I worked around the corner. Tight squeeze with seating but workable.

This place is really cosy. It's warm with a good menu, tucked away in one Melbourne's laneways. Staff were very welcoming and given its location it wasn't packed. Had lunch here on my break and will definitely be back

Nice place for a coffee, thought could be my new place for business catch-ups, but 50c surcharge on all credit cards, and another 2.5% for Amex on top of that, ouch! Dear owner - please think, most people want to pay by card for convenience. For the sake of a greedy card charge, you've just lost a lifetime of future coffee sales (from me at least)! Was that really worth 50c? Try thinking customer first...

What a find. Feels like it’s straight out of the power eighties, but in s good way, the type of bar that disappeared. Good for a first date, quite meeting place or a catch up when you want to impress. Food, wine and fun as a good friend of mine used to say.
