Set in its history, the cafe/ bakery have the most amazing options of Croissants, cronuts, tarts and other items to fancy anyone's delight. Coffee hit the spot for us. We ordered scrambled eggs and poached eggs with side of bacon and Mushroms. Side of bacon and Mushroms were cooked to perfection, poached eggs were cooked through and didn't have a runny yoke which was missed, though not a huge inconvenience. Fresh Sourdough and baguettes were available for purchase with multiple preserves also. I do need to come back and try all the amazing delight I missed this time.

It is the best stopover if you pass south Grampians. They bake fresh and serve fresh as well. I was requested veggie toast which was not in their menu, but they made for me.

We visited this bakery for breakfast on a good friday. Unfortunately the standard bakery items weren't there like sausage rolls, pies, pasties, etc. The ambience around the bakery is very beautiful. The waiting guys and coffee lady were very friendly. Ordered some avo on toast with eggs and some coffee both of which were alright. Certainly a good place to visit. :)

What a fantastic little Gem. Friends and I had lunch yesterday at beautiful Dunkeld under the branches of shady tree. I had the Beef and Ale pie which was served with a delicious chutney. It was absolutely delightful. We followed this with a cup of tea, served in a beautiful teapot/cup. Great atmosphere, and lovely food and service. It made for an enjoyable day.

As frenchies we would recommend the croissants, very buttery! The baguette was amazing - a bit undercook to our taste. They do 'takeaway' style from 8-9am but you could probably comvince them to serve you on plates to avoid unnecessary waste if you sit down. A great find!

I would drive from Geelong just to LOOK at the pies, baked fresh on site daily. While we didn't get to eat any pies as they're out of the oven mid morning and we visited early, everything we ate was delicious, especially the toasted bacon and egg crossaint. A selection of locally made food products and artisinal sourdough and other breads that look A grade. If you're in the area, lock this in, you wont be disappointed.

Best meat pie ever. Stopped there by chance, our kids weren't impressed with what was on offer, so I ordered a single meat pie for myself. Within 5 minutes all the kids wanted one. Bread was very nice too, including the baguette.

So nice we went there twice. We had breakfast here one morning and came back for a croissant and pie the following day. The beans from their Eggs and Purgatory were the best I've ever tasted. The pies are also the best I've ever eaten in Australia! I miss the quality of NZ pies. Coffee is good and they use Bonsoy for the dairy free.

Amazing sausage rolls!!! Hidden from the main street. I and my husband have been driving pass dunkel 3 times a year for last 15 years and each time we stopped for a quick bite or coffee but never knew about this place. Seems like a well known cafe cuz it was very busy while we were there. Pies cakes and sausage rolls were very popular!

Pulled Lamb pie was easily one of the best gourmet pies I've ever had. Generously filled with a succulent lamb stew, lots of meat and absolutely delicious. Worth the drive all the way from Melbourne.

Service is tip top! Initially, we ask for takeout and the staff had already packed our orders. When we change our mind to dine at the restaurant, the staff told us that normally, we have to pay extra for dining in but since the food was already packed, he allowed us to have our lunch at the tables outside with no extra charges.
