First dinner when we arrived here at Lakes Entrance for the Mother’s Day weekend. The service is wonderful and the food was excellent. We love the Prawns with rice and bread, so flavourful and perfect match. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the seared scallops, superb!

An unassuming turn off opens to a glorious sunset view overlooking the lakes. With most tables situated along windows with views the food was delicious. Both our steak and schnitzel had such exceptional flavour one would think it was organic.

One of the amazing hotel in this area for those who visits to Lakes Entrance.The entrees were so good and quick.The Trio of dips with the 3 unique sauces were just mind blowing and the fresh calamari as well.The garlic prawn rice was just amazing.And talking about drinks the secret identity cocktail was so magnificent and so amazing with the flavour of pomegranate and ginger.Eventually we ordered sticky date pudding and brownie.The brownie was good but the sticky date pudding was just next level.The sticky date was one of the best dessert which i’ve ever had in the Melbourne.Thanks to amazing chefs,front staffs.You did an amazing job.Thanks for your service.Will see you again.

Awesome staff. I have never seen tables cleared and cleaned as quickly after diners have left. Every time a wait staff walked past they smiled. Fabulous meal, looked great and tasted better. Best Mediterranean Salad I have ever had and the pork belly, OMG, truly wonderful. Great location. Highly recomended.

Your basic country pub with your basic meals. Nothing too fancy with the food which was OK however, what it lacks in this department is more than made up by the country hospitality from our gracious hosts. They made us feel welcome and were quite helpful

RV friendly free camping! Please support the Kalimna Hotel and have a meal or an ale. No water, toilets or other amenities but the view's make up for the loss. Take your waiste with you and enjoy.

Thank you Michael for providing a great free camp spot! We had dinner tonight… Steak Night. Steak and veg were cooked just right and service was terrific! Good range of wine and beer too. Really enjoyed the local Orboost Brewery, Sailers Grave Drowned MSN IPA on tap. Whether you’re camping or just out for a good meal this pub is well worth a visit!

Superb food and service here. The settings are clean, well lighted and nice. We had the beef ribs which was superb... Very tender, with meat falling off the bone and full of flavour. The Beer Braised Beef Cheeks were also very lean but very flavourful. Absolutely must try.

Great place for informal but excellent food, served by super friendly staff and with a great lakeside location. There's even roaring fires to keep the spring chill at bay. Word of warning though, these portions come big! Rib eye is actually a Tomahawk (half a kilo or more), and when I asked if I could get a few scallops off the mains menu as a starter, 8 arrived with fries - not that I'm complaining, just bring a good appetite!

Eggs Benedict to die for. Pork Belly with a yummy sweet sauce works very well with the tart Granny Smith apple and the creamy hollandaise. The crunchy fried sweet potato chips adds amazing texture to the dish. The sprinkle of nuts and seed completes the AMAZUNG EGGS BENEDICT!!

Absolutely superb views of the lakes and the ocean, sunsets here are not to missed. Food is one of the fresher menues in lakes and the staff are really friendly. I was happy to see they've put a craft beer on tap now too which has really opened up variety from the CUB regulars. Prices are a little more than the other local pubs but well worth it as the quality of the food and the atmosphere are far better. Highly recommend

Wow! What hidden treasure this place is. Allowed us to sit outside with our dog and all the staff we met were so friendly and helpful. On top of that the menu offered great choices. The parma was HUGE & my garlic prawns had 10 good sized prawns and was lovely. I recommend you get the cheesy garlic bread too! I also had a pot of Carlton Draught. It was perfect!!

Go to the Trip advisor site for this pub - it reopened on the 13th Dec 2020 under new owners. It took us a while to figure out if it was open or not for January 2021 - but it was and was amazing - there were 17 of us and we couldn't have felt more welcome or been served better food! Love the views!

Nice pub with lovely view of the lakes if you sit next to the window. Nice food however Chicken Kiev wasn't as nice as previous visit. Service a bit slow and orders had to be made at eftpos register. Staff seemed a bit untrained which is a worry. Above average pricing but nice selection of meals. Worth another chance.

Fantastic location overlooking the lakes. Nice decor, with lots of rustic wood in the main bistro. Comfortable tables and chairs, plus lounge chairs. Friendly and enthusiastic staff who really seem to care about your experience. Prices were not excessive. The meals were generous in size, beautifully presented with great flavours and textures. Only limitation was in the range of wines available, which will change the venue gains customers. Highly recommended.

Went for lunch on Friday and was very pleased to see reasonably priced meals, even more so when they hit the table. Thoroughly enjoyed the calamari salad. The renovations are amazing, great to see a pool table and jukebox. Highly recommended and will be frequenting again very soon.

Full views of the lake and oceans, pool table, darts and the jukebox, and a menu with something for everyone. Kids eat free on Sundays, and Monday nights they have pastas for $12. They've always got an awesome alcohol related promotion on and there's happy hour on Fridays. The staff were happy to answer any questions I had and always ready to have a chat when not too busy. Lunch, dinner or just a round of drinks this is a gem in Lakes Entrance.

Best pub meal we’ve had in years! Especially best Kiev. Big place, great staff... we actually stayed at the motel pretty much next to here so we ate there 3 times during our stay. Only issue we had was that we asked for chips only twice and still got salad with it and asked for an entree to come with meal it got it before meal. But no biggy. Reasonable prices too. Really enjoyed it

Just returned from Lakes today, the highlight of our trip was our lunch at Kalimna Hotel. The staff were very informative, friendly and made us feel very, very welcome. No longer run as a greek restaurant - the decor has been restored to it's beautiful -strong former glory - and this alone is a reason to stop and have a cold ale. The meal we had was curried prawns and scallops, it was amazing full of flavour loaded with fresh scallops and prawns. Good value for money too especially as we had a shop a docket for 50% of the second meal. we would drive back there over 3 hours just to have that again and we will :).
