Pretty busy place during the week. I had the 63 degree poached eggs on the Avocado Smash and the Banana Hempnola. I highly recommend the eggs, the slow cooked process makes for a nice change over regular poached eggs. Great coffee.

Consistently good coffee. As noted in many reviews here, can wait a bit for coffee. So come before 9am if you don't want to wait. Tried cronuts and some of their cakes and they are quite good, not to mention very pretty.

Update Nov 18: menu has changed and there are less options, food is ok but nothing really amazing on the menu. Shame because the roasted veg dish was amazing. Portion size has reduced slightly as well. The nitro cold brew coffee wasn't very nice. It's carbonated twist made it quite nasty. ......................................................................... The roasted vegetable was generous in portion size, good, variety of vegetables and very flavoursome. Lots of different textures from crunchy to moussey. Average prices approx 15-20pp

A great menu with some beautiful gluten free options. I've had breakfast here a few times while visiting from QLD and always been greeted by friendly staff, delicious coffee and a lovely meal. Will be back next trip for sure

Enjoyed this cafe... great breakfast, and if you get the right person, coffee is excellent! Had amazing scrabbled eggs and good coffee but when I said my coffee order was wrong, I was snapped at saying it was not... sone staff awesome... others look bored beyond words... or are they trying to look cool? Could not tell the difference... very good without being great!!!!

Good quality coffee and surprised by how quickly it came out given it was very busy - we got the last table available. Prices were standard, the place and decor itself was pleasant. The only downside would be the no table service for the tables outside (unsure about the inside ones).

Its a great cafe on the first floor of the Collins Square. The coffee is good quality and the cake selection as well as bread (breakfast pastry) selection is good. Besides, they also have some sandwiches. Seating is enough and atmosphere is good.

Excellent coffee (St Ali), but the staff make an art form of being too chilled out it takes a 10-15min wait for takeaway. Long Shot, long wait, me love you long time. Hopefully someone tells them to be a bit more efficient during the peak times, might be a Long Shot tho.

I enjoy my coffee. With my work I'm on the road constantly. I've gotten to know which places are worth returning to. Long shots is always worth going back to. No matter how busy they are the coffee is always really good.

Great cafe for meetings. Plenty of food options if needed. Friendly staff. You have to order at the counter but they do bring your order to the table. Good for groups when you don’t want to split bills. You just have to order separately. Big venue, lots of seats. Usually no trouble getting a small table.

Fantastic coffee, service is ok, food is amazing, very cheap for big serving size and quality. Looks like chefs are making everything homemade and their croissant + pain au chocolat are the best in town! Well done kitchen team.

I visit Melbourne for work maybe once every two months, and always make a stop at Long Shot to see what's developed in this 'little cafe'. This visit was fun, the cafe has expanded to take up a much larger space in Collins Square. As always, great coffee, friendly staff, and now good pastries!

Really good, strong coffee where you can taste the difference from your typical brew. Hiding away in a corner of Collins Square, Long Shot is worth seeking out if you don't work in the offices above.

One of the best coffees in the area. Line is a little slow for takeaway sometimes so plan for that. Food is nice but size is compromised for the sake of being a bit fancy.

Have the odd quiet Friday lunch here and am impressed everytime. Waitstaff are polite and helpful and the food is always on the mark. Coffee can be a bit slow sometimes but hey, no bodies perfect.
