Comments of Oasis

Place to go for satisfying meal experience. The place is huge and adequately staffed. It has undercover parking and ethnic grocery store. The food and coffee was great. Try also the chai tea.
C. V.
Oasis is a really good place to grab lunch or even some groceries these days as it has a supermarket style shop next door to the Cafe area under the same roof, Oasis seems to be bigger and evolving more and more each time I go, the food is great and the Coffee is nice, I do really enjoy Oasis, there are some items that are in my opinion a bit expensive but there is also some very reasonably priced items as well, I recommend checking out Oasis for yourself if you've never visited.
K. T.
Just received an amazing Mother’s Day deli & dessert grazing box my son had delivered. Everything was super fresh and delicious, from fresh cakes to cold meats and cheeses, many thanks 😊

📍: Swanston Street, Carlton
📝: Was craving middle eastern food and stumbled across Oasis while scrolling through UberEats. So many selections to choose from that I didn’t know what to get.
❤️: Really LOVED the baklava. It was so flakey and crispy, the thin layers were layered perfectly and not too soaked win syrup like some other places are. The Halloumi Calzone and Spinach Ricotta Triangle Pastry were also delicious—should try if you live carbs and cheese!

Great food. Very fresh and tasty. Cakes too. Very clean. Great deli, supermarket. Everything you need is here. Good staff. Lots of parking
S. M. (.
Amazing Lebanese Food and Deli of top quality European and Australian products. The best lamb souvlaki I've ever had. My 12 year old son said it was the best lemon meringue ever. Went to the deli and bought some amazing organic dark chocolates with various flavours, also a great collection of gourmet potato chips. Very highly recommended

I've known this place since it was a tiny hole in the wall kebab shop. Honestly preferred the kebabs then but good on the owners for turning the place into something fantastic for revenue. Incredibly overpriced but the only place I know around this end of Melbourne to get middle eastern products. now they stock items from every cuisine. And turned themselves into a smaller version of coles. Lost its original middle eastern feel which is disappointing. Good cafe but don't be going there for authentic food
M. A.
Came here for dinner tonight and definitely will be back! Décor, service, music and cleanliness were all spot on.
The wraps were made fresh and I appreciate the lengths they went to in understanding and accommodating our food allergies. Was also recommended the fried halloumi which was delicious. The girl giving us our food quickly understood the need to set off our buzzer to please my son!
M. R.
A proper heavy meal breakfast and not just some avo toast. When I’m feeling hungry this is where I go because I know I’ll get big serving and it’s really tasty!
J. c.
Today we received the best customer service from Rob who went over and beyond to make our 30th wedding Anniversary perfect . So helpful and friendly! It’s staff like this that keep everyone returning to a business . If your platters are as great as your staff we will be incredibly happy and thankful 🙏
m. t.
This place used to be better! Staff working with the food are extremely rude. Food is nice as well as groceries. Not much space to move around and shop, everywhere you walk there is a staff member with massive trolleys full of stock and you cannot get through.
A. B. (.
Great place to have lunch and shop groceries at the same time. Prices are reasonable and quality is great.
D. P.
It was too sweet for my taste, but for those who like extra sweet will njoi it.
Cookies and cream cookie and choc one had berry jelly filling inside, intresting combination i would say bt i finished it in parts , could not have it all at once.
I njoi oasis coffee a lot thou, go to pick up
I hope this lockdown gets over , i would like to try dine in lunch or dinner
L. B.
Absolutely fantastic service from Nadine and the whole Oasis team. Running late to organise an impromptu lunch, the team set me up quickly and with minimal cost! Great food, great service, I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you!
D. A.
Love the variety of food and groceries this place offers! You walk in and straight away feel like you’re home.
Wonderful greetings, customer service and a huge variety of all dietary options (vegetarian, vegan, GF)! Highly recommended.
J. B.
Awesome shopping experience!
Purchased takeaway from the Cafe, nice tasting latte, breakfast wrap that was healthy and very tasty!
I look forward to go back soon to shop and try again the Cafe!

Absolute giants in product and service. Highly recommended you check this place out and witness old fashioned customer service and high quality food. We have found this place one of the best bakery restaurants, eatery, take away ( call it as you like ) places this side of Melbourne. Congratulations to management and staff on a rare combination of top customer service and food 👍
B. P. E.
Love the Cafe, great options for food and dessert. Also enjoi a look at their groceries, bakery & homeware section...
A. C.
Popped in for the first time at their Oakley store. Had a freshly made jam donut, cheese and tomato croissant and a coffee and enjoyed them all. Will most certainly be returning to shop at the deli and grocery store.👍
L. W.
Amazing Middle Eastern food in the cafe!
We ordered a shawarma plate and Lebanese bbq, it is so tasty, high quality and well presentable. The store is super busy but very organised.Great service and super helpful and friendly staff!
Oasis is now one of my favourite places to dine in, I would highly recommend everyone to visit it!! Keep on your good work!
G.
Really prompt service and really tasty food! It tasted authentic and is definitely worth going again! I just wish there were more seating options available!
k.
Always make it a point to pop into the store weekly, the selection of middle eastern treats is unmatched! Best coffee in town and even friendlier staff.

Came here for a lunch on a Tuesday after really enjoying the food in the new Fairfield store. The place is a Café/Restaurant, Bakery, Gourmet Supermarket and Food School all in one. Strangely it's located in an industrial precinct/warehouse type area. Quite a few of the warehouses are taken up by Oasis and gutted out for parking. Big signs EVERYWHERE warning you NOT FOR OASIS CUSTOMERS, YOU WILL BE TOWED, and 1 HOUR PARKING ONLY. Obviously some animosity from other tenants in the area!
The place was very busy with queues of 15 or 20 people waiting to order and most tables full, inside and outside on a pleasantly warm summers day. This store is different to Fairfield in that there are no menus we could find, more like a canteen or fast food environment with food listed above on overhead illuminated display panels of mostly Lebanese/Middle Eastern food. I found it difficult to read the panels from a distance and had to take a pic, and view it on my phone. You also have to pick up your own food with a food court type buzzer letting you know it's ready. We only ordered a light meal as only 1 hour parking is available, and we had some shopping to do as well and the 15 or so minutes to order food, then a 5 minute wait for the buzzer to go off indicating our meals were ready. Would have loved some coffee and cakes! The waits weren't a problem, issue is we only had one hour for parking, which is not enough for a meal and shopping!
Supermarket was interesting which although small is VERY densely packed with a wide range of interesting foodstuffs and novel spices. We definitely enjoyed our meals and will be back again!

Fantastic place 😍
They offer a wide range of goods, Middle Eastern products, in particular.
It has also a great restaurant that serves a high quality of food 🥘😋
Coffee and desserts are amazing 👍🏼
Prices are over the average but deserving 💰
Staff is friendly and quick 🤗
It spent a beautiful time in Oasis with my family 🤩
Overall I highly recommend to visit Oasis Bakery and enjoy your experience ☺️
M. P.
Well stocked deli, fresh fruit and vegetables and dry goods. We are always finding something special for a treat!
Some good options for gifts and a cafe aswell.
L. H.
The grocery store is fantastic with loads of Middle eastern ingredients and products including fresh breads, dips, flours, spices, mixes vegetables etc . The cafe is nice, not as good as other middle eastern bakeries selling pies, pastries and zaatar breads etc like A1 on Sydney road but still yum. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options too including falafel and vegan and vegetarian shawarma which was ok. The wrap could have had more fillinga.ns flavour.
K. C.
There is no place like Oasis. It's the equivalent of Leo's fine deli but with a middle eastern twist and less pompous. Great range of local and imported artisan goods as well as your everyday grains. The cafe serves delicious cakes and hot Lebanese pizzas. I love it here!
V. R.
Great place to enjoy a variety of healthy food choices and beverages
There is a food store . Fresh vegetables and so much more is available to purchase.
Restrooms
Open 8am-7pm Saturday to Wednesday
Open 8am-9pm Thursday & Friday
Public Holidays 9am - 5pm
M. I.
Decent food for a bit above average price, wouldn't dine in again though, too noisy
P. H.
This place has really expanded and grown in popularity over the years and one can see why. Consistently good food (breakfasts), good atmosphere... Not 5 stars as the food condiments, self serve water, napkins etc are pretty non existent.. can be fixed easily...yes there is water.. but smallest glasses and slow running faucet...
S. V.
Nice place, very busy, great organic produce, can be pricy. Food is okay. Parking can be very tricky at its busy times, but they have done their best to obtain as many car spots in the area.
S. G.
Fantastic grocery and café store specialising in Lebanese food. Range is not limited to Middle East though. If you can't find it here it probably can't be found anywhere.
I can thoroughly recommend the breakfast.
E. F.
Delicious food! Such a fantastic place with a great vibe. I went with my sister's and a couple of cousins and we spent so long there. From the delicious meals in the cafe, to the huge range of food and spices in the shop, it was a great experience. I bought so much stuff, and I'm looking forward to testing some new recipes!
J. K.
Amazing food. Always crazy busy but worth it!! Not somewhere you’d go for a sit down meal for a quiet talk, or for outstanding service, but if you just want food food then yes! The wraps can be a little dry but the plates are just great, as are the lamb sausage rolls! Definitely recommend
Lovely little grocery store with house made options and good quality produce.
K. H.
Oasis customer service was incredible! An amazing team going above an beyond to help. Previously we have ordered other dessert boxes for other friends. We ordered a vegan dessert box for one of our friend for her birthday and it arrived in quite a bad condition (not because of oasis but due to their delivery driver). After sending a photo to oasis they agreed and offered to send a box the following day which arrived and was incredible. Thank you oasis for your incredible customer care team and delicious dessert boxes. You will continue to be our go to to help make our friends special days a little bit more special and sweet. I cant remember the name of the person who assisted us but he was incredibly sincere and understanding.
B. F.
I can't go past a lamb shawama with oasis chip dip. But my kids always order the big chicken cheeser ! Font forget to get some baklava.
J. P.
I like Oasis bakery, it's a café and a shop in one, but they are a bit pricey. The staff are nice but sometimes they're slow with their orders. It's a busy place with lots of yummy Mediterranean and Middle Eastern foods. Check it out!
R. D.
Great selection in the mini market of Middle eastern food in particular though a tad pricey. However the cafe/bistro section is good value and if you love your Lebanese food in particular then this is great.
S. S.
One of my favourite brunch places. Love the ambience and the food there.
M. W.
Oasis Bakery was particular about its dine-in fare: gone. I hate to give a bad review to any business but the fresh made, eat in experience is now totally underwhelming ; seems like factory produced by staff who do not know Middle Eastern Food ( probably KFC) and totally lack lustre, flavourless food it’s not worth eating.
Their supermarket has definitely taken the Crown leaving the fresh food on the plate.
W.
This is the best middle eastern food place I know of in Melbourne. We often take our interstate visitors here for lunch and then a look around the shop area and often purchasing some foods to take home. The cafe section is well priced and not expensive, and good value for money, the food will not disappoint you. The shop/grocery part is not cheap and can get a bit pricey but as they say you get what you pay for., but they have some very yummy food items to take home. All our visitors always love the experience when we take them here. We always order "shawarma" - Classic Wrap - as it is the best of its kind outside of the Middle East - we think. :-). Coffee and cakes are great too. Well worth a visit.
H. C.
Favourite supermarket to shop at! Great customer service. Would highly recommend the chimichurri hummus, the best in town!
K. A.
Amazing bakery, cafè, deli and shop! The prices and produce are fantastic! I really like that many of the products are packaged and made locally. We had brunch with great coffee and food! Below is the Shakshouka ordered.
S. M.
Awesome combination of a casual Cafe, restaurant and a small supermarket - selection composed of some of the food the restaurant side serves and eastern foodstuff. Excellent selection of more exotic grains and good variety of spices. Food of great quality and at a reasonable price.
Some outdoor seating; about 15 small tables. Can get busy at times but service is generally efficient.
A. B.
The Oasis Cafe is a great place to grab lunch or even some groceries these days because it has a supermarket style shop right next door to the Cafe area under the same roof, Oasis appears to be growing and evolving each time I visit, the food is delicious and the coffee is excellent, I really enjoy Oasis, there are some items that are in my opinion a little expensive but there are also some very reasonably priced items as well, I recommend checking out Oasis for yourself
Y. K.
Our family favourite for everything from packaged Delget Nour date to fried haloumi fingers in cafe! Started shopping at Oasis from 2005 & kind a watch they grow in front of eyes. A good example of what a business can achieve with dedication & quality in mind. Good to see they maintain the quality even though their product variety expands 100 times. Please bring back the Cheese sigar....miss them!
J. H.
Cafe is so nice and the food was amazing!
Friendly staff and Customer service is perfect!
E. S.
Incredible food , service, coffee and atmosphere. It's recommended on many websites and TV shows for a reason. Highly recommend the coming class with Marwa Makool.
s. t. m.
Nice falafel and salads.
But putting actual chilli sauce on Lebanese meat pizza is unheard off.
Should be Chilli flakes not chilli sauce.
P. A.
Friendly staff, quick service and lot of vegetarian choices to try.
B. H.
Love this place. Service can be a little slow at times, but they are typically pretty busy.
G. P.
Amazing food!! Busy, but good environment! Good for family and friends to hang out
K. S.
I love the Cafe food here, always fresh, great flavours, and a good range on offer.
Then there's the supermarket side of it - the breads, specialty savoury pastries, imported grocery items, and the fantastic array of spices! I always find something new, and love the new spice packaging introduced in the last year, much more kitchen friendly.
Stand outs - haloumi pies. Afghan garlic bread. The rice salads.
Coffee in the Cafe is very good.
Only negative - the parking. It's very limited, and they get very busy, and it's in a very busy road. But when your mouth waters as you approach, it makes it worthwhile!
C. P.
Good range of options available to eat, meals were quick to come out.
Keep up the good work.
s. t. m.
Nice falafel and salads.

Almost the food very good except the cheesecake. I like the coffee very smooth and tasty 💕

Brilliant food wide variety of food love the salads pastries seating bright staff friendly good atmosphere

Amazing but food was okay

Best packaged takeaway salads in Melbourne_great range and quality!
T. B.
So delicious. I could eat here every day!
C. S.
I absolutely love love this place. It offers so much!!!
My chai was one of the best I have had. Too many choices for delicious food. The selection of groceries is endless. Precooked meals freshly cooked to take home.
I could go on and on. Make sure you get to experience Oasis at least once.
K. M.
Terrific bakery with middle eastern flavor. Actually, it's more than a bakery, it has a market section with skincare, dry goods, sauces, homeware, and sweets!!
G. L.
As a person who’s lived in Sydney and that are surrounded by food this place has, it’s really disappointing. Sydney’s manoush cost $3-$4 for a WHOLE size while oasis charges $9 for half the size. Falafel wrap really small, feels like they just put air in it…. However the supermarket section is great
A. D.
Love how Oasis not only has an amazing grocery with fresh produce/baked goods but also a cafe serving up delicious meals.
I could spend ages shopping here as they have the best brands of everything. It's easy to see why they were so busy!
We tried their toasties and sausage roll - both were delicious and full of flavour.
A. F.
I usually stop by Oasis in Murrumbeena for a big brunch before I go on road trips in Victoria. The food is too good to put into words. They offer a wide variety of wholesome food to choose from. The cuisine is dominated by Turkish/Lebanese descent, but if you have a sweet tooth, you'll be delightfully surprised.
R. A. S.
Very nice food and great atmosphere 👌
T. F.
Amazing selection of beautiful foods, both grocery and restaurant. Do not shop here hungry 😁
L. J.
Fantastic place, Great variety of food. Huge range of international groceries. Yummy bread, Fantastic cafe, delicious cakes
N. O.
I love this place. It is an absolute cornucopia of spices, specialty produce, fresh bread, fruit n veg, deli items, doughnuts, halva and more. It's more than a store, it's a total sensory experience. There's even a delicious restaurant on site where you can enjoy authentic Middle Eastern dishes. At a time when we can't travel, immersing in different food cultures is good for the soul, and few do it better than Oasis.
T.
Brilliant food wide variety of food love the salads pastries seating bright staff friendly good atmosphere
M. N.
I do love this place for the incredible range of spices and unusual products.
However I ate there today, said I was hungry and with their recommendation ($20) got a smallish plate of food that did not work together ... with very dry meat, only just edible salad and a few chips. I was not impressed but they were kind enough to offer a bowl of chips to fill me ... but I recommend you stick with the gyro (shawama).
J. C.
Oh my God I love love love Oasis Bakery!!! Not only the cafe/restaurant food, coffee and cakes available but the “supermarket” too. It has everything you can imagine. This is Foody Heaven. The fresh fruit and vegetables, the beautiful meat, chicken and fish, ready made meals, spices, herbs- fresh and dried, deli, cheese selection, frozen foods, omg my mouth is watering just thinking about it!! There’s gourmet goodies like hand made pasta, sauces, bread, lots sourced from around Victoria. There’s baklava, nuts, halva in every form imaginable, beautiful crockery, Middle Eastern cooking items. It’s an experience you MUST do at least once. But you won’t stop at one visit. That much I know. If you want to eat something a bit different for any meal, trust me, Oasis Bakery is the best place. It’s on North Rd, Murrumbeena. They are open during lockdown, thank goodness. Just do it!
J. S.
Great small meals for Middle Eastern style pizza at a very reasonable price.
s. a.
Almost the food very good except the cheesecake. I like the coffee very smooth and tasty 💕
M.
One of the best eateries around. Their chicken shawarmas are always delicious and keep us coming back for more! Supermarket section is very neat and has everything a European customer would ask for (and more).
M. I.
Great food but every time I order delivery I get given the wrong thing (4 times now)
H. S.
Amazing venue and lebanese BBQ is cherry on the cake!
C. J.
I love the range of products they have in store, especially the European delicacies or even fresh meals. So convenient and tasty!
I also love the café and food, particularly the shawarma and Nutella brownie!
Platters are a nice way to share as well.
N. E.
The food is awesome every time. Everyone loves it there - you can see it when you go there. The only reason it’s not a 5 star is that it is a victim of its own success. Too busy and cramped and gotta be quick in and out as people always waiting for tables. Still definitely worth going and you will go back and do so regularly.
D. L.
A perfect choice for healthy takeaway food and middle-eastern groceries. Staff are mostly very friendly and helpful. Prices are a little high, but the quality is great.
J. O.
Truly amazing selection of delicious foods, groceries, and goods that you'll struggle to find anywhere nearby, all served by friendly staff. Do yourself a favour and call in to check it out if you're in the area.
N. D.
This is one of my favourite place for breakfast or brunch. A range of middle eastern food & others available here. The cafe also has a veggie shop/ grocery store in it, comes with a harvest of veggies, proteins, meats, baked items and packed items. And it is affordable.
Spinach walnut triangles are a must try. ✅
Middle eastern dips are nice snd flavourful
Coffee is good,
Wait time is little longer (15-20 minutes) as it is a busy place all day long.
They sell some nougat cake (forget the exact name), must check if you visiting there ,, which is definitely delicious and melts in the mouth.
L. B.
Great selection of international foods in their grocery section. Deli's a little pricey. Restaurant / takeaway is good, Coffee and desserts are terrific. All round a great local place to shop and stop for a meal / treat.
A. v. W. (.
Just amazing place. The burger and wraps are amazing!!!
Their coffee is great and the pies are good. Staff is always friendly. And then there is the grocery store attached - my word!! Amazingly interesting stuff!
Oasis is definitely a worth a visit.
Parking ia not great though.
V. V.
Been here a few times, food is OK, things are pricey though. Last week grabbed some frozen haloumi cheese pies, they were so salty, they were inedible, I am a salt lover and probably eat to much of the stuff, but I couldn't eat these. Couldn't be bothered going into the store and making a scene.
G. M.
Best baklava I've ever eaten: just the right amount of crunchy and sweet! The range of international delights is amazing. While we can't travel overseas, my stomach certainly can.
I placed an order online, as a safer option during covid times, the delivery was on time and accurate. Also the service and support was instantaneous and top notch!
Treat yourself!
T. L.
Busy place, Efficient take away service. Their mini-mart is high end quality and priced accordingly....but their home made/labelled products are so good, delicious and very good value
K. P.
I think it's very good. but oasis yogurt plain is very sweet you have to try it and you find out please put a label on it has sugar in it.... I have diabetes not good at all......
T. B.
Great food and cafe at very reasonable price. Friendly staff too
B. D.
A wonderful experience (and you don't need a passport) - just walking around the shop is like a trip to the Middle East! Great range of Middle Eastern supplies and a great restaurant ... come, often!
Y. A. (.
Love the food and the service. Great place for a casual lunch! Coffee is good too.
S. F.
It was so busy but good service and nice food.
N. P.
The Oasis Snack Pack is delicious and those haloumi chips- OMG YUMM! Lebanese donuts are hit and miss but generally very tasty
O. H.
Wow! had seen this place and heard about it, but never been. What a food Mecca, highly recommend checking this place out if your into cooking - I was super impressed. Didn't try the restaurant, but I will, I'm sure it's great.
H. S.
Ordered a picnic box to share after lockdown was relaxed.
Added a citrus tart.
Box arrived on time and I'm so sorry I didn't take a picture.
it was lovely. The fantastic meats, cheeses, fruit etc was perfect.
Tart was delicious.
All the hassle of preparing, shopping was gone.
FANTASTIC Thank You
E. N.
Great place to get Middle Eastern groceries that can't be found in the large supermarkets. Although this supermarket is quite expensive, an authentic Tahini/Kadaif/Olives is worth the price.
J. S.
Nice place, great organic produce... can be pricy. Food is okay. Parking can be very tricky. Good coffee, pastry just ok.
M. J.
Great lunch, snack, anything. Image: Don Edmonte, chips, Oasis snack pack, & meat and cheese pizza.
M. L.
Falafel was out of this world! The only thing I could fault them on was the serving size of the dips, on the small size especially when compared to the amount of food it accompanies.
A selection of desserts that could only be described as mouth watering and a quaint little deli/market next door.
Hot tip - don't go at peak times and you'll find a park otherwise you may struggle.
T. K.
Excellent gourmet food shop and bakery, great variety of different food items from around the world. Nice looking store of abundant goodness
D. B.
Great super market where you will find all sorts of goodies you can't find anywhere else. Cafe also has great kebabs, wraps and other tasty treats. Highly recommend.
a.
One of the best halal restaurants in Melbourne! Both of taste and atmosphere are so lovely.
G. L.
We had takeaway, lamb, chicken with salad and chips. Loved the salad with marinated cabbage and tabouli. Now I don't normally go for tabouli but this was delicious without the needly sharp stalks. Might be pricier than others but it was enjoyable.
V. N.
An incredible range of quality products. My go to destination for things I can't find at the big supermarkets. Also a great place to discover and try new foods.
M. S.
Huge range of food products from both international and local, with cafe/restaurant attached. I visit for the deli items and is always of a very high quality. Definitely not the cheapest but thats how it goes with good product.
Ive always experienced friendly service when shopping. Busy periods can get crazy on the weekends with parking and the amount of ppl. Great local venue.
K. A.
Wow, a great place to shop for every middle eastern food/groceries/takeaway. As a fair dinkum Aussie this place blows my mind and taste Bud's, the selection of ingredients, meats, Herb's and spices, just everything to make beautiful food I only need to find recipes to make good use of the store. It's a feast for the eyes, belly, imagination. I love the selection of food and products. If you haven't been there, please do yourself a favor and visit this store you won't be let down.
M. “. D.
I've ordered a delivery of the ORANGE GLAZE CHICKEN WITH VEGETABLES and FRUIT PLATTER to my friend who has given birth a couple of days ago. I was told that the food is amazing and they highly recommended it. Thank you also for adding my personal notes the delivery.
S. L.
Coffee is waterin, no foamy at all. Very inexperienced barista. It's even worst than 1$ from the fuel station. Waiting too long for coffee and a cake (no cooking at all why that's 10 minutes wait!!!).The spoons are in the dirty cup ( you can see a lots of dust there).I have to ask them clean the spoon before I dare to use it and recommended them to change the new cup of spoon but they didn't.
J. C.
Amazing Portuguese tart, lovely texture and flavour. Take away of pastries, pies, pizzas and crisps to consume at home makes for an easy meal.
A. P.
Great place to go to if you are into Middle Eastern/Lebanese Cuisine. My experience was great, been there a couple of times. The food was excellent and the service was quick. It also has a section where they sell food items from all over the world (Some of the items can be a bit pricey, but all in all a great collection of items to choose from). The only thing with the dining area is that it is quite small and can get really busy during peak hours. In all a great place to have some excellent food. By the way if you are a vegetarian, you do have some excellent options to try out !
E. H. S.
Friendly staff, excellent range of product, good coffee & good food. Love the atmosphere here.
A. H.
A great variety of delicious middle eastern food. Loved it.

This place is a bit like an oasis set in a factory area. Plus not only is it a bakery, it also a great cafe, which always seems crowded and a middle eastern supermarket that also has great Italian products. Its on a very busy road, and its usually hard to get a parking spot. We love it. The kids working there are helpful, the food is always fresh. Its noisy with talk and activity's. Servings are plentiful. A great place for casual eating
A. I.
Food chosen:
Halloumi Chips
Mixed Shawarma & Salad
Oasis Bbq Box
Chicken & Spinach Pizza
Such an amazing place, always packed. Friendly staff
I. G.
Very good food, but not consistent. Avoid ordering by the end of the day as the quality would significantly deteriorate. Lunch is always fresh and tasty. My personal favorite is the Shawerma.
b. d.
I never come out of here thinking I'm glad I came. It's probably a testament to their food that I keep coming back despite the bad parking , constant queues and general busyness. I really wish they'd split up the cafe from the shop as the latter deserved 6+ stars.
B. F.
Best packaged takeaway salads in Melbourne_great range and quality!
Y. D.
This place has great Mediterranean food.
Anything you order off the menu will probably taste yum.
They have a small supermarket and so much parking.
They even have some of the warehouses reserved just for parking.
A. H.
Staff are always very helpful and friendly. Great selection of middle-eastern spices and products, as well as products from other countries. Fresh breads and deli ranges available as well. COVID-19 safe shopping.
T. E.
We ordered their grazing platter, family pack and fruit platter for Caulfield Cup day. Loved it all, packed with care and great value for money. Have ordered again for Grand Final today. Although we can't entertain ATM we can still spoil ourselves. Highly recommend with a jug of Pimms. Thanks Oasis.
h. s.
Exceptional range of quality gourmet food. Coffee is delicious also. This place has become my once a week ritual.
N. T.
Most enjoyable afternoon. We enjoyed a lovely lunch which was well presented, tasty & fresh. Nice ambience & a good menu. They also offer very good grocery shopping options reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again & certainly recommend to family & friends. The only negative comment was parking & difficult entry into the premises as they’re located on a busy intersection.
M. I.
Place is absolutely beautiful and such lovely atmosphere the food however was very disappointing. I had the eggs and mushroom dish for breakfast with added moroccan lamb. It was honestly horrible and couldn’t even finish it. Staff can be dry and rude sometimes. Might be back for some coffee though, the place is beautiful after all
T. B.
So delicious. I could eat here every day!
S. T.
I ordered the chef made dinner pack (middle eastern shepherds pie) and it was delicious, my husband and I polished it off along with the tabouli and lebanese donuts which were just as delicious.
Great value for money with a complimentary ceramic baking tray too!
H. D.
It's ok , but bread was bit cold , dessert is a bit expensive also, customer service are very good
J. G.
Amazing place..just don’t forget your wallet as this shop has an incredible deli, cheeses and almost anything you want..!
Yum !
M. G.
This place used to be great, but has lost its soul.
Average service. Charge for extras that should be given. And the food is mediocre.
If you can make it, A1 in Brunswick is the real thing
S. '. G.
Oasis is not just a cafe, it's a place where you dip into another culture from home. It's a place where you hear noise of a bustling bazar when it's busy. You can spend time with or without friends sipping on a chai, proper authentic chai, then grab your lunch or grab any authentic spices or sweets on your way to home or a last minute dinner party at a friends house. Name any middle Eastern entries or sides, they have it ready for you in no time.
N. X.
Great food, great service, good atmosphere, good prices.
P. C.
Always great food here in the shop and the cafe but parking is sometimes a challenge. Make sure you look for signs to ensure it's a parking spot for Oasis customers.
A.
Fantastic coffee, average customer service.
This place makes you want to ditch the big grocery stores, and spend your entire wage on deli goods. The cafe attached was also very good, with great Mediterranean food.
S. C.
Went there for brunch. Food is average. The hash brown was rather burnt and soggy and tates lamb had more eggs than lamb in it. Ordered Lebanese coffee to try but was disappointed to find out it tasted more like an unfiltered strong long black than something extraordinary, but that could be just me. The regular flat white we ordered looked more like a latte and was quite average too. My friends enjoyed their salad and iced coffee.
C. N.
Great initiative to implement disposable gloves before entering which gave me confidence to shop! Keep up the good work! Oh and the food range is great since it's difficult to find freeze dried fruit in the inner western suburbs 😁
C.
I regularly shop at Oasis, even though the place is far from my home. They have a vast range of spices and the cafe serves great middle eastern food. The staff there are very helpful. After I had carrot and chickpea salad, I asked a staff member what was in the salad dressing. The staff kindly showed me the recipe of the dressing and let me take a photo of that. Their falafel mix is the best in town. I feel a sense of community every time I go there.
R. N.
Love the decor and vibe but the food wasn't so much. Kafta was bland, shawarma wasnt bad but certainly not the best. Also bought a pack of the mini meat pastries and it wasn't the best either. With the parking situation we don't think it was worth the trip.
T. S.
Amazing middle eastern food, true to the region the flavours are incredible. Service is great and happy to help describe dishes and make suggestions. Great coffee and the food portions are big and not so huge that you're left bloated from over eating. The pastries are good to get for takeaway and heat when you like. Whatever you order while here I strongly recommend adding extra haloumi (you can never have too much haloumi).
K. D.
Was great once upon a time but has gone downhill.
Y.
This is such a great eating and grocery shopping 'experience'. These people know how to deliver. Delicious Lebanese food
j. c.
Had a chicken wrap, was a bit plain. Tables a Lil squished in but great for a non private bite and tasty cakes, coffee was good too
R. B.
A huge fan and have been a local for over 10 years. So very disappointed to see the female owner 2 days in a row working with her mask under her nose and walking past customers.
Also now on 3 occasions patrons have been eating at the outside tables with their masks under their chins despite signs on tables saying this is not permitted. No staff doing a thing about it.
Come on guys.. for a super professional establishment this isn't good enough.
S. M.
Fabulous place with a great selection of interesting products and yummy food from the cafe. But was there over the weekend and was a shame to see the lack of numbers and social distancing enforced inside- was almost as busy as pre Covid. Did not feel safe going inside!
K. C.
The best ever! Nothing more to say. They are truly the best bakery (restaurant) and grocery store EVER. I love you guys. Does good coffee too. Try the chicken pizza and the spinach and cheese triangles. Good for all your middle eastern shopping. Thanks for creating a beautiful place
M. J.
A wonderful middle eastern oasis. Loved it. Good and fresh. Massive range of Turkish and Lebanese food. Desserts are divine! Must visit if you love middle eastern dishes.
S. K.
We really like Oasis. Been eating there for years. Today the Salads were not full of flavour and even the lamb shawarma wrap was underwhelming. Disappointed.
S. C.
Great place for Mediterranean and Middle East food.
J. S.
I've loved visits to Oasis for over 20 years - a fabulous selection of groceries and delicacies. Today, however I was very disappointed in the pack of 12 cheese pies
that I bought for lunch - barely any cheese!
Doubt that I'll buy them again.
N. W.
Great food platters. Very happy with the mini pockets and the mini meat pastries. Highly recommend.
P. J.
Good place for Souvalakis, Baclavas, desserts & coffee.. a lot of vibrancy and energy in the air.. however upstair seating is a bit enclosed so can be avoided. Best to either sit downstairs inside or outside on a nice sunny day. Some of the other main dishes (seafood in particular) are a bit expensive and not really that great. Has a gourmet shop on site. Parking can be a problem, given it has it's own parking.
A. E.
Great place serving seasonal brunch menu and a dessert bar, also has a huge selection of groceries and items that are rare in supermarkets. It might get busy during lunchtime and/or weekend brunch time but food is always great. Oasis also hold events here and there and they are amazing.
H. G.
I love the food at the restaurant area. Coffee is fabulous. Parking can be tricky. One star off for their high prices.
V. H.
The cafe food here is good, but not great, and the cafe value is OK, but not great either. However, Oasis does offer an opportunity to experience familiar dishes with a middle eastern twist that you would not find so readily in Melbourne. The donuts were rather dense - perhaps a bit under-kneaded or under-proofed.
The place can get very busy at peak times and you may need to wait for a table. If you want a place that is more suited for quiet conversation, you may be disappointed.
The supermarket is inviting, but you can expect to pay hipster prices (sometimes whole multiples more than you would get elsewhere, esp. for nuts and spices). The supermarket offerings are extensive but not necessarily unique or premium (although they certainly convey that feeling with the excessive plastic/packaging).
A. A.
A bit over priced. Ordered a lamb and chicken shawarma with salad.A bit over cooked and dry.
A.
Sensational place, have been coming here for at least 15 years! The new supermarket approach is amazing - if you're looking for a hard to find ingredient, this is the first place I would check out. Innovative and clever - but still has the middle eastern 'basics' like pita bread at a great price. Love coming here!
e. l.
Hidden gem. Unbelievably good food and such value for money. The store has a myriad of unique ingredients, any foodie or chef's dream. Such a warm place with plenty of character, consistently good food and unpretentious. Love it, just wish there was one close to me!
J. E.
Fantastic turkish food ready to eat or a whole supermarket of goods to take home. A must visit - frequently
J. D.
I come here from time to time. Nice place to shop great variety of Mediterranean / eastern European groceries to choose from. Huge selection of spices but staff fail to ask for rewards card and cant do nothing about it after the transaction so remember to have your card handy.
J. L.
Insanely good. Best shawarma with beautiful fresh salads. You have to try the halloumi chips. Super clean and well stocked. Expensive in-store products, but high quality.
d. h.
Great regular lunch spot. Lots to choose from the middle Eastern menu. Great vegetarian options also. Very well priced and good value. Can be busy at times. There is a grocery attached selling a great range of middle Eastern food also.
D. F.
Very pleased with party catering order. The food was tasty, well presented, and well packaged. I would gladly use their services again.
C. H.
It was amazing time for me in Oasis. You can find all kind of flours, spices, and all kind of diet food. I'm doing dairy-free diet so sometimes difficult to find things but here, they have ice cream, milk, cheese... It's gonna be my shop. In Cafe they serve you delicious oriental food. They use a lot of spices and not that expensive.
A. L.
Hands down the best food and supermarket shopping in town, For breakfast lunch and dinner this place does it all. Sweets, Deli, and dine in. Stroll through the supermarket section and find all the herbs and spices you would ever want. Staff are amazing and helpful it truly is an experience.
S. D.
Awesome café, bakery & grocer. Great range of hot food and cakes. Nice coffees.
We normally come to Oasis to stock up, when entertaining at home. Their mini chicken pizzas are always a big hit when we serve them.
T. M.
A not-to-be missed charming bakery situated in Melbourne's south-east. What is striking about this place is the vibrant decor and environment which make you feel a world away. Prices are typically $15+ for a main meal with many other delicious treats for cheaper, and a wide range of halal options catering to the Muslim community. Abundnat parking and seating, and a middle eastern grocery to explore once your meal in finished. All in all, one of my favourite places in Melbourne with a warm, cosy, and colorful environment with affordable (but not budget) food. Recommended.
S. W.
Fantastic store for foods you already love, have always waved to try, or the ingredients you need, when you decide to create a dish at home.
H. W. S.
Oasis is one of our favourite cafes plus shop places for some years. Maybe I have brunch and coffee while my wife gets her special baking and food stuffs. Love how they touched up the seating area recently!
H. i.
I really cannot stress enough how much I love Oasis. A huge cavernous space filled with take home goodies such as dips, salads, meat and sweets, and of course the cafe is not to be missed.
On my latest visit, I started off with an excellent cup of almond latte, strong and slightly nutty. My dish of choice was the granola smoothie bowl, with a silky and jiggly panna cotta and fruity dragonfruit smoothie. Beautiful crunch from the granola throughout, and the fresh fruits added a burst of flavour.
My partner had the caramilk pancakes and it was a thick fluffy stack of yummy goodness. The caramelised milky flavours were outstanding, and the toasted marshmallow was a delight to eat. Of course, the caramel popcorn hit the spot too.
The chilli scrambled eggs that my friend had was simple yet satisfying. How gorgeous and fluffy did the eggs looked and tasted? Perfectly scrambled, and a dish that was brimming with flavours.
Oasis is such an amazing spot and remains consistent after all these years. Definitely one of my favourite spot in Melbourne!
N. A.
I love the Shakshuka at Oasis Bakery and couldn't recommend it enough, along with the great array of products available in the grocery section!
However, I do find that the cashiers tend to be a little careless, with today being the second time that I almost got charged twice for the same product!
This has happened before on my previous visit, and I had only realised it when I had returned home (and had not asked for a receipt) so I had reminded myself to check the prices today before paying and once again, the cashier had charged me twice! Not sure if it was just an honest mistake, but I managed to correct her and paid the right bill :)
R. S.
Exceptional food. A wide variety of Middle Eastern dishes with a modern twist. Service is fast. Oasis is not cheap, but it is worth the price. A jewel.
The supermarket is full of hard to find, luxury items. It is very expensive, but with hard to find items that may be unavoidable. Nevertheless, many items are cheaper elsewhere. So... be selective.
S. K.
My go to place for Coffee and breakfast. Sam and Gloria make the best coffee in Melbourne 🙂. The place is always busy and the staff are super friendly. There is nothing you won’t find here.
Z. P.
Good food and groceries, how ever this place become like a big super market and Customer service become poor
M. A.
We have been attending Oasis Bakery since it was a cafe with four tables and a shelf of deli items. It has grown beyond belief into a large cafe/ restaurant and middle eastern deli/ grocers plus many other fine food related goods. The family and staff are delightful , the coffee amongst the best Melbourne and the contemporary middle eastern food a gastronomic iAND visual delight! You’d be crazy not to visit if you are in the area!
D. N.
For years we've driven past the Oasis Bakery without giving it a thought or, even stopping to pickup bread and what a mistake that was as we never realised the major part of the business was the Cafe and Delicatessen. We were told to checkout the cafe which we did yesterday at lunchtime. We were totally blown away by the size of the place; the number of folks enjoying lunch, and the marvellous range of food available. The three if us chose the Classic Lamb Sharama (like the Greek souvlaki) and what a truly filling and enjoyable lunch treat it was too. Very strong recommendation for folks looking for a reasonably priced (<$10) lunch item. We followed up with Halva as a sweet and it was of equally excellent quality and taste. Free cold, filtered water is available too. Parking is available adjacent to the building as well as behind it. We're already planning our next visit!!!
s. f.
Went there today as I was working in the area. I ordered the Cheese and meet pizza. They have it on display so I could clearly see the size. The lady serving me immediately said "that won't be enough you'll still be hungry after that". In all my years of eating lunch at many cafe's around Australia and the world, I must admit that I have never had anyone tell me that the food I was ordering was not enough. Especially considering I had never been there before and they didn't know me. What do they think everybody needs to gorge themselves on extra large plates of food during a work lunch. The Pizza was OK and I was full but it wasn't brilliant.. There seems to be a far amount of choice and food was on par with an OK to Good cafe, which you find all over the place. I would probably go there again for lunch if I was working in that area but it's not one of those places where I would drive a fair distance just to eat there.
L. T.
Just had a cooking class with the wonderful Marwa. She is so passionate about food, so friendly and the food is oh so delicious. I would thoroughly recommend!
V. F.
I love this place. I have had breakfast and dinner here, both were a bit different from anywhere else because you do get sick of same same.
The grocery section and the deli...OMG...the home made donuts, halva - we went a bit crazy first visit, ended up with organic cinnamon toothpaste too. I saw some hampers which would make great Xmas gifts as they were reasonably priced. Parking here can be tricky, you just need to stay away during busy times or park down a side street and walk. The acoustics in the main area for eating weren't the best, but not a big enough drama not to go again. The meals are order at the counter and receive a buzzer thing, it is not flash dining but it is an experience and taste sensation
I. A.
Nice looking place with large variety of goods.
Parking is difficult.
Prices are well above average.
Nice but not cheap place for middle eastern lunch and boutique shopping.
L. E.
Haven't been here for years so decided to catch up with a friend for coffee.one warning, it's VERY busy Saturday brunch the difficulty lying in the problem with parking. There are 2 designated Oasis carparks nearby just within the commercial area. Once in youllyfind a vast array of delicious Lebanese pizzas, pastries both sweet and savoury, cakes, salads, really too much to list, all very reasonable. Coffee was great. Then spend another hour browsing through the phenomenal variety of deli/groceries/fresh bread/etc etc etc. Foods from all over the globe. A total food experience!! The one star off was trying to park...out of their control really and proof of their popularity.
S. M.
Excellent local takeaway shop. The food is amazing and I haven't ever visited the Mid-east but I feel like I've already been there. The recipes seem authentic and are obviously prepared with care and finishing touch. Also, the prices are modest and I can say that the place will have great success.
R. Z.
Amazing food and super friendly service
C. E.
Love the cafe and the selection of food here. The baked goods are amazing. Also a great place to purchase some of your groceries as they have a large variety of goods. Fantastic for herbs and spices as well as nuts and seeds.
H. H.
It was really crowded around 11 a.m. and it took around 20 minutes for our order to be ready. We had only a 2 min wait to get a table although it was crowd. The food is great and there are numerous choices on the menu all with a reasonable price (7-19$).
J. B.
A staple of the neighbourhood, having a good reputation and regular customer base that is well deserved. The food and coffee is always high quality and delicious 👍
K. K.
I go to Oasis for they food/restaurant section. It is also a grosery story with higher veriety of spices, but in comparison to other places I found it VERY expensive, so in general I avoid shopping there.
M. A.
My place to go for fresh middle eastern bakeries best Lebanese bread and pies. Great selections of cold and hot served traditional middle eastern Mazza. Restaurant is great too but gets busy during the weekend.
E. G.
Game of Thrones iron seat with bread sticks by Oasis Bakery. Nice
s. N.
That was OK had coffee and baklava there coffee was on better side and baklava was dry and not too sweet but over all was OK.
M. A.
I lived in the Middle East for 10 years and spent considerable time in Lebanon - I have to say this is my go-to place for the most authentic and delicious Lebanese food in Melbourne. We are spoiled for choice in this city, particularly in the Northern suburbs, but Oasis is the number one by far. The retail is excellent, the food is outstanding and the best you will have without needing a passport. They also do cooking schools, I have not yet done them, but look forward to the day I can get there.
If you love Lebanese food, this must be your #1 destination.
A. I.
It's one of our favourite place for breakfast/brunch. A great place for weekend family time. And service has never disappointed us.
T. E. Y.
One of the best casual eating in the area; unique business concept and holistic branding of the entire area. Food is fabulous and the price tag is reasonable. Perfect for family outings and afterwork coffee with friends and colleagues (they serve Turkish coffee btw )
J. N.
Loads of great produce
I feel this store is larger than the one in Fairfield
S. M.
Good range of interesting and tasty Mediterranean foods, not cheap
K. K.
Always excellent. Great distancing and efforts made with hygiene and sanitizer. Great range of products. My favorites are the eggs, spices and freshly squeezed orange juice
M. A.
It is my favorite restaurant around the area. Great taste and affordable prices.
I go for Shaworma or falafel few times a month. I am middle eastern and i think this is one of the best in Melbourne. Always Lebanese ladies are nice and cheerful.
M. K.
Great food in the cafe and in the supermarket as well. Good breakfast ans lunch options.
They have opened up more carparking as well.
N. M.
I love that bakery! Whenever I have free time, I go there with my sister, since she introduced me to it a couple of years ago. Good variety of dishes, vegetarian options and delicious desserts.
K. C.
The vegan grazing box was great! It was fresh and well presented.
E. B.
Brilliant groceries, lovely organics and special tasty treats. The restaurant for is pretty good, sometimes a it's a bit packed and slow to serve. Parking can be tricky as it's getting quite popular.
m. g.
The food is always really good and fresh. Weekends are a bit busy so food can take a little while to come out. There is a lot of variety in terms of the grocery store that is attached. Items are reasonably priced.
A. R.
Great food affordable prices always love it there
S. B. D.
Love Oasis. Is a regular for. Great exclusive product which is excellent in quality. The ready made food is great as well. Highly recommend it.
A. H.
Ooooh, you know it's good when it's tucked away in a place where you'd never think to go to a restaurant and there are lines out the door. Seriously good food. The supermarket keeps interesting food too, beautiful colourful plates. Great food, I'd go back.
N. H.
Fantastic cafe and shop. My first time there and loved the place. Found some spices I was looking for.
M. N. S.
The four stars are for their produce not the food. I always leave with lots of bags, but being Lebanese, well I can say the food is just ok. The tabbouli, I mean come on that's not it, no!!!! They ruined it, was that couscous???? The same applies to the shawarma and other wraps and sandwiches. The food is alright, but not authentic. The produce though is great.
O. C.
Impressive... all the different products, and the variety from different countries. My favorite place for now on delicatessen products. They have Mate and Dulce de leche Argentino!!! The bred with olives is awesome. Good coffe, and kids love the smoothies.
A. P.
Absolutely delighted by this shop. Food is delicious and staff is simply amazing to say the least. Walk in and pinch yourself, it's true.
J. F.
Very good selection of Israeli and middle eastern selection of goods. Salamis dips all sorts of exotic foods.
M. D.
An amazing range of interesting foods from all over the world. I think there is almost nothing you could not get here. Not particularly cheap but all the food is very high quality.
J. H.
Really cool independant grocer. As a cafe to sit and enjoy a coffee though, I found it super noisy, not peaceful at all. The traffic off the main road outside was awful and the music, natural acoustics and amount of people per square meter inside just wasn't pleasant or relaxed as I'm sure it's intended to be. If they could.impprove this they'd be onto a winner
s. v.
I ordered Shwarma with rice. The service was pleasant and my food arrived quickly. While the chicken and rice were tasty, and the portion size was adequate, the tahini was bitter and the bread was not toasted.
B. P.
Best coffee in Melbourne that I have found, food is delicious but will take 20+ min to heat up the pies. Staff are friendly however, if staff forget to add chips onto your order you will be told to re order it and wait another 20+ minutes
L. M.
Part cafe, part grocery store, part deli, part spice market. Beautiful middle eastern food. Colourful salads, falafel, dips, fabulous breakfast menu plus burgers, plus much more. The coffee and cake selection is equally amazing. Try the Turkish coffee and baclava. Always busy. Come early for a table or grab a bunch of goodies to take home.
C. H.
I always get my white & yellow corn flour in Oasis💕🥰
E. 1. u.
First off...well done on the set up it is absolutely beautiful. The food well unfortuantly not so great. The sharwama shark was basicly chips and tomato with meat peppered on top..really diapointed with that aspect..my wife had the waffles which looked like burnt lamb and was going to send it back coz i thought they bought out the wrong order. Staff was chit chatting and had to finish her sentence before she bothered to serve me. Over all a cool snazzy set up other then that well would not go back more of a try once kinda of a thing. The stars are only going towards the wow factor of the store thats it.
A. M.
I little disappointed after eating at Oasis Bakery before I ordered as usual the Shawarma Shark and it was more potato chips than lamb and the lamb was chewy and rubbery, not a good quantity.
Sorry but it was one of my favourite place to eat.
H. V. V.
Hey, If you want to gain google five stars message me on telegram nickname Googlerating . We give Google reviews in bulk with cheap price
S. B.
Nice selection and quality. I like the cafe area and menu, but 3 stars due to high prices and some of the staff not too friendly.
a. v.
Good food and average coffee
P. S.
Excellent and interesting food in the Cafe. Wide range of quality products in the supermarket area. Helpful & friendly staff
L. I.
Good food but can be very busy and hard to get a table.Try avoid peak times if possible. Fresh doughnuts are always good.
C. D.
Great food, an authentic taste of the middle east in suburban Melbourne. Salads and shwarma. Middle eastern pastries and pizzas. My current favourite is the snack pack: meat and chips with two yummy garlicky sauces. Then after your meal go to the grocery/deli side for cheeses, cured meats, sweets, spice mixes. Bread. Filled doughnuts, Turkish delight, dried fruit.
V. L.
I would give this place 5 stars for their food, absolutely delicious! Staff are usually super helpful. Alice a worker there on the other hand was so rude, passive aggressive and uncatering for my milk allergy, never have I encountered such rude behaviour regarding which coffee is which...
B. K.
A nice little (ok, not that little) middle eastern bakery/cafe/restaurant. Their shark wraps are pretty good (and extremely unhealthy) - these are shawarma wraps with potato chips in them. Yes, potato chips in them. I don't particularly like the overpowering garlic sauce in them though - you are continually reminded of your lunch for a few hours after. The portions are hearty too.
Particularly love the huge array of middle eastern groceries that they peddle. You can get almost any ingredient that goes into middle-eastern/mediterranean cuisine
I. K.
Love Oasis!
A great spot for lunch, coffee and sweets.
They're attached grocery store has one of the best collections of food products that you won't find in supermarkets and a high quality of everything they sell
M. W.
My favourite supermarket in Melbourne, an amazing range of products and atmosphere. My go-to spot for coffee and lunch!
B. P.
Great ALL food selection. Had a great Shakshuka breakfast... Spicy but delicious
S. H.
Now this is way beyond a bakery. It may have started that way with a fabulous counter of baked delights and a milk bar like series of a few shelves with middle eastern bottled, canned, dried, and packaged and tubbed goods, but it has grown and evolved through numerous iterations until now it is simply the best middle eastern and speciality goods supermarket in the whole of south eastern Melbourne and the peninsula area.
Want a specialty oil eg pumpkin seed oil .. got it!
Or syrups of any conceivable sort .. got it!
About 87 flavours of fresh and packaged Turkish delight or nougat .. got it!
A whole wall of wonderful fresh and imported cheeses with great advice to match .. got it!
Fresh dips and lahbne ... got it!
Any sort of nut or type of flour or seasoning or herb or spice .. got it!
Camel or goat or sheep or cows milk .. got it!
Honestly they even have a limited but terrific small aisle of fresh seasonal produce!
Their bread is fabulous (as it should be for their original and eponymous product), it is just that everything else is just as good.
Even if you don't buy anything this shop is absolutely worth a visit just to look at the beautifully packaged products on the shelves. But I dare you to leave without getting out your wallet.
And I haven't even mentioned the attached eat in and takeaway "cafe".
A. A.
Amazing place - Delicious food - Great atmosphere -
One of the best coffees I've had as well. Great catering options also.
A must visit for all to experience. AAA +++
L. A.
I am in love with this place! The staff are so hospitable and welcoming, the food is great (we had chicken shawarma), and the products are new and various.. defiantly coming back! Many thanks..
R. H.
Wonderful Lebanese food. Kebabs, tangines, breakfast and all kinds sweets. The grocery shop is full of delicacies from around the world and fabulous bakery items. Always busy and always delicious!
K.
Lovely ambience, good coffee , some amazing dessert options!
Z. T.
Don Edmonte wrap was terrific (fried chicken in particular). Missus got the Falafel and Salad plate which she thought was delicious!
Chips and dipping sauces also a winner for both of us.
M. S.
Great choice of meals. Middle Eastern flavors, healthy and vegetarian options are available, You can have a Zatar (small pizza) and a coffee for less than $10.
A. G.
Love coming here! The food is always delicious, and we love the cook books and grabbing treats from the supermarket. Is always busy , but that just tells you is really good!
N. S.
Amazing place for a cheap and tasty meal. The shawarmas are incredibly tasty and affordable. And the marketplace with all their myriad foods, drinks and spices is a paradise for people who are passionate about good food.
L. K.
My favourite food store! Can guarantee you won’t be able to go back to any other grocery stores once you try Oasis 👌🏽
R. I.
Dont let the name fool you. This place is much more than a bakery. I've been going here for lunch for the past 1 year. They've got plenty of seating indoor & outdoor and always full.
R. T.
Love to do a quick shop and a coffee. Love the deli and cheese range!
L. G.
Melbourne classic. Much loved grocer of worldly foods. Awesome place to get lost in and find a new favourite.
I. O.
This is a fabulous place! I've watched it grow as fabulous businesses like this should! Food, atmosphere, specials, crockery, cook books, everything! Michael is one of the owners I think, and is a real gentleman and problem-solver.
P. M.
Amazing spice and Middle eastern food

Love visiting Oasis with friends and family. It is always well presented and tasty food. I can grab a quick bite and do some shopping as well. They have a massive range of products to suit everyone including a deli.
Love their falafel, meats and salad. Coffee is good too.

Pros: Great fresh food. Cons: extremely busy at times, parking an issue, a bit on the pricy side. Worth a visit to sample a huge range of middle eastern goods if you have paitience.
M. S.
Good food as always. However, consideration of proper table wipe downs in between customers is lacking.
S. A.
Great cafe and range of groceries.
Grocery prices where a little inflated compared to other independent grocers.
The biggest turn off is the lack of dining tables to eat in.
L. L.
Excellent food. And what a selection of delicious food and ingredients a must visit.
R. D.
Great selection of fresh ingredients for home and good food. If you happen to be travelling by I highly recommend stopping by to try the coffee or if you are hungry, grab a Lamb Shawarma.
T. C.
A great range of Middle Eastern and international foods, although unfortunately most things are very overpriced. Good value is 2x ~1m long turkish breads for $5. Huge range of spices. Some good finds: various halva, mixer syrups, pickled vegetables, liquid smoke, chipotle chilli sauce.
D.
Such yummy food, great selection and a fun place to shop for food from the Middle East and more. The staff were really lovely and helpful too.

Not cheap, but definitely worth it. Awesome range of products

Oasis always provide fine fare and excellent coffee and coming straight out of cv19 lockdown they are absolutely the best again 😊

You'll dream about the food at Oasis.
It's like the best place ever. The food is amaze, and you can pick up food products that will change your life. LIFE CHANGING!
and you will be back. Guaranteed.

If you haven't been already, you really should get to Oasis. My recommendations (after years of visits) are the Spinach and Feta Pastry Triangles and the Haloumi Pastry Half-Moons. Also get a customised kebab, some dolmades, and some Turkish delight. They have a whole shelving unit dedicated to Turkish delight so you'll have plenty to choose from.

Oasis consistently delivers great quality middle eastern food and pastries. Coffee is also excellent.

Goog middle eastern European south american products

Oasis is a great store, there was a kelly working at the deli who had a great smile and was very friendly !! great customer service and even better food
A. J.
Great selection, prompt service, fresh & healthy options always available. Tip: when ordering hot drinks with food, best to order separately else your food will be hot and coffee cold.

Food is always nice here and staff are generally polite. Wait time for food is never generally long and the supermarket is always stocked with what I need

Love this place. Delicious and very fresh food. Staff are really lovely. Great for casual dinners with the kids.
R. D.
Brilliant range of specialist grocery items, lovely team, and a great cafe with wonderful cakes and treats.

It's a good place to try middle eastern cuisine. I have visited this place couple of times, tried different dishes. Preparation always upto the mark and nice settings for casual visit.
T.
Great variety of products, my shark wrap was good, however the prices of the groceries are double to triple the price of that in a supermarket.
M. M.
I love ordering online from Oasis, they have the special products I want that I can't find anywhere else. Very helpful people too!
M. C.
Concerns over their Covidsafe plan
No sanitiser in any of their stations
No checking if people checked in for dinein
Public walking around inside with no masks and nobody managing or marshal
C. G.
Love this! Not only fantastic food for take away or eat in but amazing store!
M. M.
Used to love cominh here but recently the prices have been climbing a bit. Quality is still good though.
G. J.
Not a bad place for a coffee and a Nutella donut, wished they didn't put the donut on a wet plate so I had a soggy donut. Coffee was good enjoyed it!
A. M.
I got a grazing box from Oasis for my birthday and it was amazing. Great food and presentation.
D. A.
The food here is the reason why you will see cars parked everywhere outside. The Lamb Shawarma a weekend regular. If you love middle eastern food you will love Oasis Bakery.
k.
The shop is amazing, many vegan options, the vegan swarma is tasteless... Such a dissapointment
J. C.
Yummy Lebanese/Turkish cakes and coffee

f. s.
Very nice and fancy supearket and cafe with a great menue. If you are looking for something different around clayton and notting hill, I would recommend Oasis :)
M. R.
Excellent Shawarmas! (Not kebabs). Not sure what magic is at play, the vegan shawarmas taste better than the meat (which are great too)
M. P.
Great improvement and expansion since 20 years ago. Its very professional service and way of getting food. You guys need to expand into Dandenong and other key suburbs.
M. m.
Fantastic service. So refreshing to get such friendly service. The young girl who served me at the counter really made a great impression, very friendly and with a welcoming smile. Thank-you.
A. G.
Food took a bit of time to arrive,we ordered the chicken cheesers and it was way too sweet with the bbq sauce. The nutella donuts definitely lack nutella in them.Overall an average experience
R. M.

B. L.
Love food and coffee there. There is a grocery shop next to the restaurant. It's fun to wonder around at the shop after food! I love their pistachio turkish delight.
M. B.
Lots of variety to look at as well as good food at any time of day. Need to put menus on table also the biggest downfall is the parking otherwise great place.
M.
Absolutely excellent coffee, food was tasty, attached grocery store's range is incredible. Indifferent staff.
J. G.
Wonderful shopping selection. Always stop for a chai latte which is one of the best around. Lovely friendly staff.
