SO wonderful to be back in Sins courtyard for dining in after 6th lockdown! Chris and the Sins gang were my unfailing support throughout the endless lockdowns, ever cheerful, always good coffee and food options, and they have now immediately pivoted back to good full dine-in/takeaway service. I am back to working my way through all the tasty things that are better eaten immediately, not takeaway, saturday was eggs florentine and bacon, i think tomorrow is the pancakes! so now to shift from daily or every other day drop by for coffee/takeaway/escape work desk, back to a few times a week escape my work desk and dine in to enjoy the amazing Sins food, friendly smiles, great coffee, and my favorite employee, Benji the the ficus benjimina tree in the back courtyard!

The food was not bad and the vibe of the place is good. However, the pork belly wasn't seasoned evenly hence some parts were saltier than others like way way saltier. The dirty chai I got tasted quite weird in my mouth. The "vanity" dish, in the other hand, was quite nice with the on-point chicken. Overall, I wasn't too satisfied but the friendly serving was a plus. Hence 4 stars.

Apart from an amazing dine in menu, Seddon Deadly Sins has an incredible array of take home meals. I'm not sure if these were developed as a result of Covid but they are a winner. We bought the vegetarian lasagne, the Shepherd's pie and the moussaka. All were so tasty and heated up really well. Just delicious!

Yummy food served by friendly staff in a busy but comfortable cafe. Very popular spot, so there can be a short wait for a table, but it's arguably worth it! I dined here with friends and we enjoyed various breakfast dishes, coffees and cakes which were all really nice. They were happy to split the bill for us which was much appreciated. Been here a couple of times now and they are very friendly and do good coffee. But both times the food has been disappointing. The first time the pancakes were drowning in maple syrup and I am a sweet tooth but it was sickening sweet. Second time I got the pancakes which were undercooked and the berries were defrosted and full of water when you bit into it.

The inside space is limited to half a dozen tables that seat 2-4 people, but there's also outside seating either on the street front or an enclosed courtyard out the back. Well done boys!

I always thought this place was some sort of adult book store (given its name), after careful inspection and a lunch with the girlfriend all I can say is good things for this cafe. Upon entry we were greeted by a friendly young fellow accompanied by creative menus. The coffee was outstanding although that is to be expected at these types of boutique cafes in the Footscray area. More importantly, the food was delectable. The roast pumpkin sandwich was fresh and full of flavour alongside the lemon cheese cake dessert which taste like there was a party in my mouth with everyone invited.

SDS wasn't serving food when we arrived as the kitchen closed but they left the fryers open and tried to accommodate us as best as possible given the circumstances. Great lunch here today.We all loved our meals and my 92 year old dad loved his pork belly. Wasn't sure about the eggs with it but there was no complaints from here. My Thai burger was beautiful and l lived the flavour of the chicken and the minty dressing. The coconut chicken tenderloins looked great and my daughter enjoyed the deep fried haloumi. The grandkids and my husband enjoyed their chicken parma. Service was great, staff friendly and helpful and food was reasonably priced. Love to go again

Delicious, large meals, well cooked, good menu selection, the food isn't what most would call "healthy" but there are some healthier options, but this is a great place for traditional delicious hardy breakfast. The coffee and chai tea is good and the staff are very friendly and quick.

Breakfasts are 9/10, coffee can depend on who is working on the coffee machine, ranges from 7/10 to 9/10. The back yard is a lovely place to spend a few lazy Sunday afternoons drinking bloody marys.

I've been trying to have something other than the beer battered haloumi, but it's just far too good to avoid. Coffee is fantastic, I could make my own for free at my cafe job, but I'd rather buy one here, it's that good (they have keepcups too, buy one). Staff are amazing, genuine, no pretence, and won't crack at their busiest. Just a really, really nice spot.

I've been to Seddon Deadly Sins years ago and remembered that they had awesome Spanish eggs. Decided to bring my wife and in laws for brunch today before we go shopping and the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I'll start with the good points. We were seated in the courtyard when we arrived and it was extremely cold because one of the heaters wasn't working. My in laws were freezing and requested that if seats became available indoors that we be moved inside. Within minutes, a waitress came by and told us we could move inside and was very attentive making sure that our orders were directed to our changed table. Great service and friendly staff. Now the not so great points. Food took a long time to come. Granted it was a busy Saturday lunch service but it was definitely longer than usual. My wife ordered the chilli corn loaf and it was great. Huge portions, flavoursome baked beans and crispy bacon. My father in law and I ordered the florentine eggs and was a little disappointed by it. It came with two poached eggs and only one small piece of toast. The eggs were poached beautifully, they were generous with the hollandaise sauce but there was not enough toast to wipe up all the delicious sauce and egg yolk with. If the dish came with two pieces of toast, it would have been perfect. And we thought $15.50 for the dish was a little on the expensive side. My mother in law tried the herbed polenta and loved everything but the polenta. It was quite mushy so it in her words, she's had better polenta. Seddon Deadly Sins could have been great but maybe it's the day that I went or it's me being harsh but tweaking a few things would have this a highly recommend brunch place.

This is a fabulous cafe, only marred by the permitting of smoking out the back in the otherwise lovely courtyard. On the weekend, several customers (including myself and our party who had not yet ordered) got up and left the single smoker to it, as their pollution wafted all over the non smoking diners. No reason to allow smoking, in a food area. If the establishment wants to permit smoking, please allow it on street, not in the courtyard... so the fumes can disperse.

When I finally went I was disappointed by the service and found the outside seating area at the back difficult to eat in as there was a lot of cigarette smoke. We visited Seddon Deadly Sins with kidlets the other morning. I got a bit worried cos it had a pretty small front, but what I didn’t see was a beautiful dining section out the back, the courtyard was huge too. I had the spinach and ricotta filo pastry w mushroom sauce, kranskey and poached egg. The filo pastry was half covered with mushroom sauce so it was a bit soggy. The kranskey was super hard and have lots of hard rind in it as well. Definitely not a fan of that kranskey. The flavours are really nice, but also extremely heavy. I think it would have been good for two people to share or one big hungry person to eat. Kidlet has some of mine and I still couldn’t finish. It would have been nicer if they had something to lift up this very heavy dish. Hubby had the sweet potato laktes and he said that was pretty average. Kidlets’ Envy - pesto scramble and Ham was delish, except for the ham which once again had lots of hard rind in it. Just a bit of a hit and miss here and there so if we are in the area we might look elsewhere for a feed. Pity though because the service was great, the kid’s babycinos came out in lightning speed (so very important!!!) and the food came pretty fast too!
