it’s a wonderful day to get out the city, this cafe are amazing, they have outdoor and indoor seating, entrance are the little cute store, selling all different kind of cute stuff, dog biscuits etc. we had Smoke salmon, chicken sandwiches & Chips w chicken salt, the portion was generous, and so good, love the smoke salmon bagel. chicken sandwiches are delicious as well~ the outdoor seating are comfortable, with a lot of shade~ the trees are everywhere, also plenty of space for kids to running around~

What a great find. This old Australian cottage makes a beautiful quality gift shop with both indoor and garden cafe dining. Its in the main street of Gembrook. As we prefer quiet days we went on a Monday. Puffing Billy was not running. But if you prefer busy then check out monthly market day near Puffing Billy, end of the line, station.

Officially my favourite place for bruch, or a coffee and yo-yo (i love the rose and pistachio). Attentive staff, peaceful atmosphere, with a number of options to seat you and a friend, or a small group of you, and your dog, indoor or outdoor - with shade. Food is just fabulous and presented beautifully! Good value for money. Also interesting bits and pieces with a nature link inspiration to browse through in the main reception area. Love. love this place.

Great little cafe! Came up to Gembrook on the Puffing Billy and originally decided to come here just because of the reviews and fortunately it was open because the rest of town is closed on a Tuesday except for the grocery store. The drinks were excellent (they make an amazing chai with actual black tea and crushed whole cardamom pods), the food was tasty, especially the baked goodies, and the service was very nice and friendly. And if you're coming up on the train and only going one way, the bus stop is right outside the cafe.

Good coffee. Great good. Friendly service. For brunch I had pulled lamb on sourdough with 2 poached eggs. Normally comes with a homemade hollandaise sauce but I ask for something a little bit spicier and ended up with a hot tomato based sauce which was fantastic. The large latte also helped to get over a long hard weekend.

Glad to have found this quaint little cafe yesterday. Our lunch was very good and the friendly staff were more than happy to change a dish so it would be gluten free. My poached eggs were perfect and the salad was delicious. The ham toasted bagel was okay. The cakes cabinet looked great but we couldn’t fit one in.

The food (haloumi toastie & breakfast burrito) & coffee were great & are 4 star worthy but it took more than 45 mins for the first dish to arrive & then I had to ask where the toastie was after another 5 mins. The table beside us arrived after we'd ordered but we're served their food, including the same haloumi toastie, well before our food arrived.

Biker & Pet Friendly!!! What a delightful place to eat. Beautiful polite staff. I was expecting the same old cafe food pretending to be special, overpriced and small, with ingredients chosen to just sound good on the menu. I was so wrong. It was DELICIOUS! I ordered the thyme mushrooms on toast. Generous serving with three huge juicy mushrooms, and just the exact right amount of all the other ingredients, balanced perfectly. Someone actually cared about making this dish work well, and it showed. Very nice food, very happy. The others liked their meals too, equally impressed.

A little gem in the Brook! Atmosphere was lovely, as were the staff. The food is reasonably priced and is quite good. Prior to coming in, I had read another review saying to try the Veggie Bagel with bacon - let me tell you, definitely don't pass that up!

Came here today with a small group. Had coffees and Devonshire tea. Scones were light as fluffy. The coffee was great, just strong enough and nice and hot. Table service is appreciated. The atmosphere is old world and pleasantly cosy. It was busy but still quiet inside and conversation across the seven of us was easy to hear.

I visited this cafe for the first time last week. Cosy little cafe with nice staff. I really wanted pancakes, there wasnt any on the menu, so we asked, turns out the chef was able to whip me up some beautiful chocolate ones with fruit, now thats what I call going the extra mile. I was also happily impressed that you had REAL tea, alot of cafes charge an arm and a leg for a tea pot with a tea bag! I will be back for sure. THANKS!

Paid a lovely visit to Spencers Store today. Warm, friendly environment with great decor - perfect blend of heritage charm and modern trends with up-cycled goodness. It's no lie the chai lattes were out of this world, hands down the best I've ever had. Food was well priced and genuinely delicious, perfect portion sizes but generous with all the best bits ;) The home made flourless pistachio cake was a flavour sensation and the coffee was quality! Presentation of all dishes was tops and the small wait (only due to being so busy - which is not surprising) was absolutely worth it. One of the best eateries in the hills, I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. The chai lattes are actually proper chai lattes - not the usual cinnamon sugar stuff you get from most cafes. The food is great, and they serve the best French toast I've ever had. Inside has a casual and warm atmosphere, with lots of locals frequenting for coffee and a chat. There is also a small garden where you can sit on warm days or if you've brought a dog (although the gravel part may be slightly uncomfortable for some pets, perhaps sit in the brick area if your pooch is fussy), and it is rather well protected from the wind. Just make sure you let the staff inside know if you choose to sit outside - they can't see all the seats from the kitchen, so you might find yourself waiting a while for service if they don't know you're there! Great place, I'll certainly be back.
