I booked both The Cottage and The Stables for a special occasion. Both were beautifully presented, with updates amenities and lots of character. With friendly sheep nearby, we were able to complete the experience with a trip to the wool shop a mere 1 minute walk from our accommodation and a coffee in the outdoor area. There are plenty of walks to explore the property and the views are beautiful. Will definitely be staying again next time we are in the area. Thank you to both Tom and his family for such a wonderful stay.

Oh my gosh where to start, we stayed in the Farmers Cottage, packed full of character. There were amazing flower arrangements in each of the rooms - I took photos and shared them with friends on FB. I was made very welcome watching yarn dyeing on Saturday morning before I headed into the wool shop to have a good look, and some yarn came home with me. Thanks Tom for a wonderful, relaxed experience, we will be back!!

I just had my 3rd trip to Tarndie and I've loved every trip. This time I stayed in the farmers cottage with a friend and it was so beautiful. The rooms had fresh flowers and were decorated with lovely touches like vintage quilts (likely hand made). We had walks on the property and ran into some boisterous sheep. The family are so lovely and we had a visit to the wool shop. I think this will become a regular stay

Tarndie is a little piece of heaven on earth. I have been wanting to stay for a long time and finally the opportunity arose.
The cottage is just amazing and the attention to detail and atmosphere is superb. The fresh flowers in nearly every room are just divine as are the crochet blankets.
Thank you for a wonderful stay - I will be back as soon as possible!

The Stables are a delightful place to stay. It is very peaceful and restful. Not sure if the sheep farm is still fully operational as we saw very little sign of sheep movement. The straw chairs are in need of an upgrade as two of the three chairs had holes in the sitting base.

We loved our stay at Tarndie, farm cottage! Set on beautiful country the cottage is filled with charm, well equipped and private. Tom was a wonderful host who added so much to our stay, amazing to find out about the history of the farm and the area. Really inspiring to visit the wool shop and see the wool produced from sheep on the farm. It is the best quality wool, feels good in hand and knits up a lovely soft fabric. We also visited Lake Corrangamite nearby and had a great lunch at Colac. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again!

This was my second stay at Tarndie. When you stay at Tarndwarncoort you enter a time warp. A few days relaxing feels like a week.
Tom and all the crew make you feel so welcome. The farmer’s cottage is rustic but comfortable, welcoming and clean.
Cannot wait for my next stay.

My wife and I stayed at Tarndie for a week, being our second stay in the Stables. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and well equipped in lovely surroundings, quiet and totally private - we were made welcome by our genial host Tom. It is well placed to explore the surrounding district. We are experienced travellers and rate Tarndie as one of our favourite places.

Stayed here for the weekend. We had such an amazing time. The farm is beautiful! The owners are so welcoming and kind. They are extremely passionate about their wool and sheep and it was amazing to spend time there. I cannot wait to go back.

The stables are delightful, a beautiful fully-equipped space, and I was impressed with the constancy of the internal temperature. Perfect spot for a peaceful, private break when you have no agenda. And there's the wool shop for the new knitter or spinner or for topping up your stash!

We stayed two nights at Tarndie in The Stables which were just gorgeous. Staying at Tarndie is one of the most beautiful country experiences I've had. Tom is wonderful at making you feel welcome and accommodating any needs. Couldn't recommend enough.

Tom and the Dennis Family are some of the loveliest people I've ever met. My many stays and shopping experiences at Tarndie have been so lovely, healing and great fun. Prior to Covid I was flying in from Sydney 3-4 times a year to visit with friends. I can't want to get back to my favourite farm.

Genuine hospitality in a setting recalling the halcyon days of Australian farming, in tasteful and modern accommodation. The home-made fruit cake and coffee were great too!

we had a lovely night in the cottage at Tarndie. Although the farm is well and truly out in the idyllic country, the town of Colac is nearby for dinner, or bring ingredients to cook your own on the well fitted out kitchen. The next morning we spent too much money in the wool store and had a lovely cuppa with the charming host, Tom, and his parents. My daughter thinks we need to go back for another dose of sheep. .^_^.

When visiting Tarndie, you’re welcomed warmly to this beautiful old homestead by the Dennis family. Many repeat visits are necessary to purchase fabulous Polwarth yarns. Nice to know the provenance of our wool. Oh, and Tom makes an excellent coffee! Experience the Otways.

Tom was an absolutely lovely host. Loved the old wool shop. Was a great time.

Such a beautiful & authentic Australian homestead. You can feel the love of the family everywhere and sense their humble, hard-working nature. So naturally raw yet so much potential. A real Australian farming experience and must visit wool shop for knitters & wool lovers.

We stayed in the Stables Studio which is a delightful space for two people. This is definitely a place we are heading back to.

Beautiful spot to relax and unwind, gutted that we only had one night here.

We stayed in the Stables Studio - what an amazing little spot. It was warm, cosy and had everything we could have wanted. Beautiful setting on the farm, and we had coffee and a great chat with Tom the owner, who gave us a rundown of the history of the place and the local area. They also helped us tee up transport to/from Brae and were super helpful. Definitely recommend this as a great spot if you're staying down this way.

Stayed at Tarndie a few times now. A family run farm with lovely clean homestyle accommodation. Really enjoyed the surroundings and peaceful ambience. Owners are lovely to chat with.

The Workers Cottage was an absolute delight. Set in the middle of a working farmstead with its period features, furniture and detailing done to a 'T'. We couldnt ask or expect anything more. The host Tom was extremely welcoming, warm and accommodating. 4.5 Stars would visit again.
