Hands down the greatest place in Melbourne! Amazing charisma, and food to match! Arguably a happier place than Disney Land!! Working my way through the menu and it just gets better and better! Not to mention the coffee and their delicious home made chai! Do yourself a favour, just give it a crack, you will not be disappointed!!!

On a recent holiday we chose this place to have breakfast each day. A very yummy breakfast, quality ingredients used with imagination and care. Highly recommend this cafe. Lovely staff as well.

This cute little place is hiding in plain sight among quite a few tourist trap places in central Melbourne. The atmosphere is great, full of interesting books your read while drinking your aromatic Melbourne flat white. The best part is that the food was as good as the flat white!
T. S.
Very friendly staff, great service. Ordered the flat white coffee and long black. Reasonably priced, and even better tasting. The place is small and cozy, and the staff also served free water without asking. Would come back.

Hidden little gem tucked away so it’s hard to see but it’s part of its charm. Food was so delicious and the cookie and cream milkshake is absolutely top notch!

cutest little cozy brunch spot, the food was incredible and I couldn't fault it :) I got the arancini breakfast and a salted caramel chai latte and they were great ❤️ they also had a small collection of books to read

Food was delicious. Coffee is good. Service was friendly.

Wow, what a great eatery. The service was quick and efficient, the food was even better! $15 for a huge meal is what I call value for money. If you’re having trouble deciding what eatery to have lunch at in this alleyway, look no further than The Little Denn

Always nice to visit the little cafe in and around Melbourne. Central Place is one of those eclectic narrow and short streets that brings you bang for your buck and for your culinary tastes.
I’ve had mostly takeaway from Little Denn but had a sit down coffee this time. The guy serving was lovely and quite friendly and chatty to all his customers.
The food looked fabulous so grabbed a wrap also for lunch.
The breakfasts being served were sumptuous and next visit I’ll have to put aside time to have the haloumi chips which I hear great reports about.
Although seating is limited inside, its cosy and warm and funky. As the rain came down outside it was a little dry haven. Like the crockery and the books and everything about this place.
Notes: very suitable for vegans and vegetarians, restaurant isn’t really wheelchair friendly if you want to dine in, kid friendly and takeaway available.

Very cozy book and the food is very tasty. Albeit it a little pricy I would go back again :)

A busy little cafe with good vibes and nice staff.
I only had a cheesecake and coffee... both were okay. I’d go back for coffee. The cheesecake was average.
The cabinet food was not labeled for food allergies and the staff were unsure what cakes etc where gluten-free etc.

Tiny coffee bar and restaurant in the heart of the ‘foodie’ area. Great coffee and good menu.
A.
Very curious to try their brekkie deal. Coffee good price but you have to remember it’s the price for a one espresso shot . Pay extra for milk or long black

Cute little place in one of the laneways of Melbourne. We had vegetarian food and it was delicious although portions are small.

Create new cafe in Melbourne's Centre Place.
Amazing selection of teas, chai and coffee...
First place I've been in Melbourne with multiple different chai teas. Today I tried the chocolate chai, loved it.
They also have sweet and savoury choices, this is going to be my new lunch haunt it seems.
Great service, very friendly. Check it out.

In this little cafe is hidden a variety of chai, we got the almond chai and vanilla one and it was amazing!

One of melbournes secret cafes! With a huge selection of chai lattes and a cozy atmosphere, this place is great to come for a quick coffee break whilst out shopping. It can get quite busy, so no tables guaranteed! But eitherway the chai is worth a visit!
A.
Cute little cafe. Small cap only $2.80🙌🏽
Would love to go back to try the food.

Great place, I would definitely recommend! Enjoy!

Great value tapas, if a bit cramp, but hey, it wont cramp your style! Great selection of juices too!

A classic Indian Chai joint is what we miss a lot since coming to Melbourne. The typical power based chai latte in coffee shops misses the authenticity and aroma from the Indian spices. We accidentally walked into this place on the way somewhere else and were positively surprised.
It is a cute little place hidden in the laneway. The owner uses spices directly imported from India. It comes in many different flavours as well. Its Chai is more an upmarket version, but very authentic. A cup of warm chai during cold winter days in Melbourne is such a great treat.

Great quality cheap little coffee shop

Coffee was top notch and I had a cheeky little egg muffin; thst was yum. Gentleman serving has a warming personality. Hidden little gem. How good is the mural on the back wall!!
Z. S.
Cozy, well-maintained venue with reasonable prices and a wide variety of chais.
S. W.
Sash was amazing and charismatic in serving us with a great sense of humour!
Ordered 2 Nutella hot chocolate and a Tim Tam brownie. YUMM!
Will be back again!

Great food (I had The Vegan), great coffee, friendly staff, cosy. Music was loud so don’t go here for a quiet spot. Would definitely come back here!

Great service in a cool little store. The charred rolls are delicious and very affordable. Amazing stuff!

The name is, indeed, a fitting one. The place may be small, but the staff are friendly and the coffee is good. It seems I am becoming a regular customer.
B. S.
Great little cafe with pretty good food and really good and inexpensive chai.
A. C.
superb coffee, beautifully cooked food (had paella). Great vibe inside. Cozy!

An excellent cafe - great service, friendly staff, excellent coffee and food.

Really good, delicate coffee and sweets! Exceptional customer service as well. Place itself is small and cozy, perfect nest to have a rest on a busy day :)

It might be pretty tiny but this place is massive value. The prices are great and the food is excellent. Their chai latte menu is a highlight and I recommend the coconut chai in particular. The service is impeccable and honestly the only downside to the place is the size, but it works in their favour as it means the place is great for a quiet conversation over brunch and five chais.

Great coffee and cute decor! Friendly staff. Excellent orange cake <3

While the space is a bit of an annoyance for some, it’s understandable given the space that every shop on the street has.
The barista, Gabriel, was amazingly friendly and made a perfect cup of coffee for me. Would recommend

N. B.

A bit reluctant to let this one out of the bag. Excellent long black decaf and large latte. Menu impressive. Amazing prices for Melb CBD. Quick service. Doing Melbourne hole in the walls proud.

Fabulous little cafe, great meals and coffee
K. B.
I had the Vegan breakfast, which was delicious. Great service and friendly people.
V. S.
Cosy little place. The service is good and lamb risotto is delicious. The chicken and avocado linguini pasta was a little too creamy and it can get quite cramped at times at the back but all in all, good place for brunch.

Amazing breakfast. Great find
M. K.
Pleasant little cafe very friendly...
R. J.
Nice food but very busy.

Vegan breakfast was the bomb! Very flavorful and potato and corn patty topped with beet hummus and avocado; served with asparagus, greens , toast , a grilled eggplant and kidney beans. Really enjoyed the food. Almond milk chai was ok; would have been better if served hotter.
P. S.
AUD2.80 for a cup of cuppacino. Don't think there's any cafe can beat that.

It's only been open for 3 weeks and it's become my contender for my favourite Melbourne laneway haunt - and it's so close to Flinders Station!
5 reasons you should come here:
1. The Food. I have eaten breakfast, brunch and dinner here and all delivered for quality, flavour and presentation. The tiny kitchen has 2 chefs and they are machines! Paella, Smashed Avo, Tapas, Juices, Coffees come out fast, to an excellent standards.
2. Service. Like I said I hung out here so I saw the staff in the mornings, during a weekend brunch rush and at close. They get service. If you want better service ask - they're great people.
3. "Sash": Owner, Barrista, Restauranteur, Raconteur. He was the larger than life front of house. He's genuinely interested in making this place excellent and a great conversationalist and wealth of insights into what makes an operation tight.
4. Ambience. A lot of cafes just rest on their heels because of the trendy location but the funky 90s music & the promise of a constantly changing menu means this place will stay fresh.
5. Price. You can get satisfied in a very affordable way or you can get very full (and still not break your budget)

aromatic chai. Rose chai and pomegranate chai are so good. The aromas left in my mouth even after drinking. There are so many types of chai latte to choose from, definately a hotspot for a chai latte lover.
