I do often find myself getting coffee here at The Loft. However, the quality of the coffee is quite average. If you are after a nice coffee, go downstairs to Super8 (although they are sometimes busier and you may wait longer). As I am often in on Sunday, The Loft is sadly the only option open in the complex. It’s redeeming qualities are the amazing view you get from the terrace outside on a nice day (again, I would recommend getting your food from super8 downstairs and bringing it up 😎).

Located on L7 of the MacCallum building, has a fantastic outdoor rooftop with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, a synthetic grass area and awesome views. Can get very busy during peak hours. Quite a variety of different dishes (including burgers with different colour buns) and a breakfast menu in the morning, I tried the salmon and eggs, there wasn’t much to the dish and the egg was a little over cooked but otherwise fine.

A real nice place to go have breakfast or lunch. Especially if you have spent all day at the hospital and want to escape the hospital feeling. The place is connected by a bridge from royal Melbourne hospital, so anyone can go there including royal women's hospital. The feed is pretty food, with excellent cofee amd a great breakfast menu.

The Loft is located on L7 at VCCC (Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre) and can be accessed through the Royal Melbourne Hospital as well. Cafe has variety of cold/hot breakfast and lunch menu. They make great coffees and fresh juices. This cafe has great view of city and and surrounding suburbs with rooftop outdoor seating area. They accept AMEX cards as well.

On the 7th floor of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Clinic. Interesting looking Café catering to staff, patients and visitors of the Hospital. Like the rest of the Hospital's public spaces it's Architecturally designed with interesting furniture, textures and colours. Great range of cakes etc, though nothing has prices on it so very confusing as a customer trying to decide what to buy. Great Coffee made by knowledgeable staff. Outside the Café on the 7th level is a park like area with sculptural features, grassed areas and seating. Stunning panoramic views of the city from a unique vantage point! It's worth coming here just to enjoy the views and great coffee! ....who would have thought a Café ön a hospital could become a tourist destination? The hospital itself is worth visiting both for its amazing curvy organic exterior, which is continued with the soaring internal void just inside the entrance.

Cafe on the 7th floor of PeterMac hospital. Can get out to the open air rooftop terrace from there. Nice range of food and open airy spaces, the snack stuff has lots of sugar. The juice bar is nice, but carrots were going old and funny.

I work in the hospital precinct, and pretty much exclusively eat at the loft. They have the best coffee too. My recommendation is the tortellini. More affordable than zoukis, and people rarely realise how easy it is to access from the RMH, via the level 7 access bridge (just go to the B building.) The loft is always whee I recommend to patients and visitors, capped off with that incredible outside area for a breath of non-filtered fresh air.

High quality cafe offering fresh breakfast and lunch menu items. Food presentation looks very nice, and the decor is modern. Coffee tasted very good. Gets crowded at lunch, with good cause. Cant forget about the amazing terrace, sensational view.

Excellent hospital cafeteria, by far the best I have experienced so far. Food and coffee are of high quality and not exorbitantly expensive. Best part however is the outside terrace/garden with splendid views of the city and a great way to make use of a break!

Been here a few times over the last 12 months, went here as partner was having treatment in hospital a few floors down, had a great meal of sticky chicken and rice, and sat and looked at the view outside, great how something so tasty and service so awesome was available on top of a hospital.

Has a really nice view and outdoor seating area. Great escape from the four walls of the hospital. Can't say anything about the coffee cause I don't drink it but the hot chocolate is fantastic. Food is also priced reasonably and tastewise ranges from average to above average.

My daily morning coffee stop before work. Staff are super nice and outgoing and they make the best coffee in Peter Mac!! Also very reasonably priced compared to other cafes in the area. Hot tip: Bring your reusable coffee cup to get 40 cents off!

Outstanding view and well designed garden. Some lovely fresh options for lunch , but menu is not flexible if you want to tweak a set item, even only slightly. Lots of plastic packaging in the fresh food bar which is disappointing.

Great decoration and spaces, the views and the garden are the most significant characteristic of this place. In fact The Loft is the perfect place to drink coffee in the highs, enjoying the modern Melbourne's style. In addition, the coffee is good: sweet, well prepared and presented.

We visited this morning before at RMH. Great coffee and cheap food. Pretty quick service too. A nice big space indoors with a big outdoor area for warmer days. You can access from RMH via a walkway over Grattan Street on level 2 and level 7. The. level seven ramp leads directly into the Cafe.

Unparalleled views! A place to bring visitors to drink in Melbourne from on high. (Also wifi) The food is far and away the best of any Hospital venue I've been to and it's great that Staff, Patients and Visitors enjoy it together. I'm not sure the loft needs to elaborate on what it is for a fifth star. Cant wait to enjoy the roof in Summer.

Great place for staff to relax with great views

Excellent option for a hospital, but I worry about the Bain Marie food in a place where many visitors might be neutropenic or immunocompromised. Coffee is usually good, although it does depend on who is making it.
