Great food!! I would come back for this- beautiful bread and the caramel slice was divine! Coffee was also a hit. We honestly would’ve come back the next day if it wasn’t for the service we received. Unfortunately there was not much warmth in the service and it was if they were afraid to serve us due to COVID as we were not local to the area. Service is so important to the whole of an experience and sadly it let us down :(

Magnificent. If you are going coastal, or returning inland. Stop in! The Store is a one stop shop for local Food, a lovely Providore, hot and take home pastry, ready to heat meals, tasty local artisan choices and a great range of rustic breads. Great coffee. Wonderful menu of vegan, vegetarian and all foods in between, including great help with dietary requirements. The local and homemade cake selection, almost makes you need a second cuppa, to sample the many, that are too good to miss out on. This Store, supports many local farms and artisan food producers. Highly recommend, with warm and wonderful hospitality. Stop in, relax, take a break, and enjoy. The Store gets my 5🌟.

Nice little stall hidden in the back roads of the Otway’s offering a selection of pies and cakes and craft goods . The staff hear are super friendly . You can eat inside or out if it’s sunny and enjoy the bush surroundings

wow - from the most basic milk bar, transformed to a foodie corner 4 years ago, i am so glad i stopped to check it out! not only are the staff super friendly, they serve fantastic coffee! on fridays the baker comes in to make fresh bread. daily, they have home made savoury pies and a decent variety of pastries. in the spacious store and dining area you can also find locally produced provisions like pasta from the ottway ranges, jams made in nearby pennyroyal, locally made lotions, potions, and craft products. what a delightful place to encounter!

Delicious lunch and very friendly staff. Was so good yesterday we came back for lunch today. Steak sandwich was lovely, sausage rolls tasty and the lemon crumble slice was so good we had to get more to take home for later. They even made our puppy dog feel welcome as we enjoyed our goodies in the sunshine.

We had a wonderful breakfast stop here! We lazed and lounged in the sun and drank our beautiful strong coffee. The fruit toast is amazing and the cooked breakfast looked scrummy (food envy when we saw our neighbours meals). My daughter scoffed two sausage rolls. Just beautiful service and food.

After a scenic drive from Lorne you get to this cosy town of Deans Marsh. The cafe here won't let you down. The food and coffee are really nice and the atmosphere is quite relaxing. Strongly recommended.

Stopped in to get coffees for work mates and unfortunately they didn't have the flavour we needed (which is all good), I went to use my phone but sadly had no reception. The lovely man at front counter offered his phone for me to use. I was able to make a call to work mates and confirm another flavour. Thank you soo much for the use of phone, came in handy when I needed it the most. Your store looked lovely and wish I could of stayed for a meal.

So happy to have stumbled across the store in deans marsh today. What a wonderful little place filled with treasures (on the shelves and behind the counter). Excellent coffee, cake ... and the best pie I have ever tasted (and trust me, I like pie). The proprietors couldn’t be more welcoming, and you can taste the love they pour into their food and coffee. Do yourself a favour if you are ever near the area and detour through Deans Marsh and support these truly lovely people and their great little business.

We travel down to Skenes Creek 3 or 4 times a year for a weekly stay, but on the return journey we usually travel from S K straight to Moriac then on to Melbourne, but this time we came via the GOR and up Benwerrin and decided to stop at The Store at Deans Marsh for coffee and cake and so glad we did.. great food and atmosphere, regardless to say on our next stay at Skenes Creek, we'll be making the slight detour to The Store for lunch, as I'm quite partial to a steak sandwich or a home made beef pie.

The best pulled pork roll I've had- nice bread, with fennel, dill, a little mayo and salad. We also loved the chunky beef pie that was home made- knocks the socks off factory made pies any day! Really friendly owners and worth stopping off. Wish I'd tried some of the home made cakes!

The food here was great. Gourmet food at a great price. Lamb and potato pie, with chunks of lamb, not lamb mince. Great salad and excellent Raspberry milk shake(They make their own syrup ). Loved watching the birds forage around the vegie patch whilst we ate our breakfast. Fab coffee too! Good spot to pick up a locally made culinary gift for friends and family.

After a ride around the foothills of pennyroyal this oasis of good coffee and delicious treats was the perfect 1/2 point for the long ride back (uphill). Owner shared wifi so I could pay with phone. Coverage for my provider was non existent.

A truly friendly, unpretentious wonderful find... You know there is a serious love of food happening when you can't wait to get back there for something else! Anything else.. Yesterday it was hot chips... They would stand up next to any home cooked roast as they could be eaten from the bag, or on the plate as a delicious side.. Using very local potatoes, they were crispy and shaken in pink salt and home grown rosemary.. The previous day it was fresh, home made delicious salads of freekah, lentils, vegetables, fetta, tahini (plus lots more) and a sprinkling of slivered almonds added to the take away container.... Thanks Dale, I am sure your retirement plans will be short lived with food and service like this....

Great coffee, good caramel slice, but really unwelcoming and unfriendly service. We are not locals but have been to this cafe previously with local friends, and with a much better experience; I guess with the previous owners based on the owner’s response to the previous post. I think good service and being made feel welcome is almost as important as the product being sold. Not so great today.
