I liked it. It was a really cold day when we visited and this place was a bit of an oasis as it has inside seating. Can't say it was cheap as it wasn't. Quite nice surroundings although a little tidy up wouldn't hurt. The chicken salad I had was great. The Greek salad my brother had looked good too and he said it was good. Cake selection only fair. The serve alcohol too if this floats your boat. Parking outside. Friendly staff. Service was good

Food and staff are both 5 stars, and happy to accommodate any abilities or dietary requirements. Clean and cosy cafe, great on a summer's day on a cold and miserable one. Not to be missed.

What a great find in Ballan! Lovely food - I had a Zest burger, my wife had the fish and chips. Chips were delightfully crisp and nicely seasoned. Friendly staff and quick service complement the great food. Pleasant surroundings and the coffee was bloody excellent.

Coffee was good but waited a while for out toasted sandwiches and croissant. I ordered cheese on one and never received it. And by the time we got our food our coffee's were cold.

The bacon and egg toastie was almost a winner, kudos for using normal bread instead of the gum cutting unpleasant sourdough bread everyone seems to think is the bees knees. Not the greatest tasting bacon though, tried to place what's wrong with it, an unsuccessful attempt at smoking it maybe? Seafood platter was nice though, no complaints there.

We stopped here for a breakfast on our way from Ballarat to Melbourne . Bacon and egg toastie with extra spinach was 5💫. Cappuccino was spot on.. Staff was 7💫..incredible people Must try cafe....

Excellent! Very friendly fast service. For the first time in a very long time all 5 meals where bought at once!! plus the burgers had a lot of flavour, so nice that my daughter actually ate it all! My toasted sandwich was also a 10 star rating! Thank you so much for finally giving myself and my family a proper cafe experience!! Keep up the good wyand we will be back soon! Nice food and good customer service but a bit pricey. Bacon n egg roll with avo and med coffee $19.50. For $4 cheaper you can go two doors down and grab the same. The price tends to be inconsistant when ordering here also, what costs $10 one day will be $9 the next or $12 the time after that.

Stopped off for lunch on the way from the grampians to Melbourne. Really nice food, very good value for money and the naughty fridge was too tempting to refuse!! Amazing caramel slice and lovely staff serving us. Thank you!

Being gluten free I was very happy Zest could accommodate me. However the homemade bread was so chewy and hard it made my jaw ache from the amount of chewing to be able to swallow it. It was dry and had a strange aftertaste almost as if a large amount of bicarb was put into it. Perhaps before sending the daily bread out to customers maybe it's worth the staff trying it first for quality testing. I was really disappointed and won't go back. Sorry for the negative review.

Cafe with a relaxed atmosphere and a menu that has all the standard favorites. Our food arrived quickly and was well cooked and presented in spite of it being quite busy. Obviously a popular place with rhe locals it's worth a visit fir lunch, brunch or coffee.

Hmm reduced menu for father's day, really? Advertised all day breakfasts at weekends only to arrive to get told they aren't doing breakfasts on father's day. Makes no sense seeing they had to cook what I ordered anyway. Pretty sure eggs and bacon would be just as easy to cook as a burger. This is how local businesses fail.
