I have eaten here more times than I can count! The view is beautiful and the food and coffee is always good! Normally I get breakfast foods but I recently tried the salmon and it was good. Never had any issues with customer service, timeliness or finding a seat despite it always being busy when I go!!

Beautiful river view with great menu. Was busy on Saturday morning. They got seating inside and out with river view. Good customer service. Coffee is good. Ordered regular cappuccino feed bit smaller looks like a small coffee. If you want good size go with large. Overall had good experience.

Went for a quick drink & dessert after lunch. Beautiful location & waiters were very nice & friendly. Lady that took my order at the counter was a bit blunt & could not be bothered giving any eye contact when I asked whether the wine I got my friend could be a bigger serve & I was happy to pay the difference. Just a “it’s standard size, anything else and pointed pay wave tap here” not even a smile or thank you! Maybe she was having a bad day but no excuse when you are front of house. That aside, no complaints here.

This is one of the good cafes by the riverbank. The ambient was very good. The scenery of the Swan River and the city view had enchanted me in the morning. A place was well thought of giving pushbiker parking bays. The foreshore is also suitable for landing the kayak. The coffee was aromatic and tasty. The coffee beans were supplied by a coffee roaster in Northbridge. This is one of the scenic places that friends and visitors should be invited to experience. Cheers! (2021-10)

Had a wonderful coffee and cake here this morning. Perfect location to catch up with a good friend and let the kids run around nearby on the lawn. They were in full view so very safe. It’s my new favourite place. Service impeccable. Would love to see some more children friendly cakes or biscuits added to the menu.

I think the venue is absolutely marvellously close to the river. View towatds the city is great. Very good for modern weddings.. Staff was polite and there with all these little bites. I do not know or the caterers change from occasions or not. It was oke and for young people terrific. The D.J. was very professionel. Except the idea of our age that dinners should be served At weddings, I think it was still a very nice wedding and it is perfect for big parties.

The big breakfast suffers from logistical challenges which mean it's not quite the experience it could be (someone from the kitchen should try eating one themselves) Nice atmosphere, polite staff, wide ranging menu. This is a beautifully situated cafe, overlooking the river and city. It's bright, clean welcoming. The menu has some interesting breakfast choices; I had the quinoa and spinach soda bread (delicious) with a kombucha and berry mocktail. The staff are pleasant and the service is prompt. Food pricing is pretty standard, but I feel my drink at $9.50 was overpriced.

Go there for the scenery alone. It is a one of the most beautiful locations you in Perth. I haven't eaten there, so I can't comment on the food, but I found the coffee a little so so and the I am sure they only brought me half the slice I ordered. So tiny. I would have expected better coffee and bigger sweet stuff for the price. But, you can't beat the location.

Dear BK team and owner, I’ve been drinking your coffee and wine and eating your yummy food for years as I work just across the street at UWA First thank you for doing your best to help keep us all safe. I know you have to follow the rules but I also appreciate that as someone with compromised breathing, I am not being exposed to those who CHOOSE not to get vaccinated. I’m sorry you are being subjected to the reviews of the oh-poor-discriminated-against-me brigade and suspect some/ many have never been to your awesome establishment. Your staff are handling the checkin requirements with grace and humour and I for one am doubling my coffee budget to spend MORE time bayside. To the pity party anti vaxxers …hey remember small pox and polio… couldn’t go to school back in the day without the jab! Appreciate science … it’s why you’re not dead!

Best cafe location near the UWA campus. Based on my most recent experience, however, the lunch offerings are mediocre (at best) and overpriced. I had a Moroccan pumpkin vegetarian dish ($24) which was very small, and had minimal flavour, certainly not what I expected from the menu description. I guess with a location like this people will just keep coming back anyway 🙄. So no longer 5 stars from me.

The location of this beautiful coffee shop/restaurant is superb, right by the river, next to UWA. There are lovely cakes on display, good meals for the hungry, and a variety of settings to sit out, both inside and outdoors. The service could certainly improve, especially at the counter. My wife and I held our wedding reception at Bayside Kitchen at the beginning of the year, however our wedding was originally scheduled for April 2020. Warwick and the team were FANTASTIC not only on the night, but were extremely supportive and flexible with arrangements after we received the devastating news that we had to postpone. The food was amazing, the staff are as great as you will ever find, and in particular I would like to shout out Nicole for how she owned and operated the running of our special night. Thank you so much Bayside Kitchen. Worth no less than 5 stars!

I come here quite often and normally I have decent experiences at this location, but unfortunately today was not one of those days. A friend of mine ordered an iced latte and received a hot latte. We didn’t complain since it was just a mistake and no big deal. My other friend also ordered an iced latte, and although this time it was indeed iced, it was undrinkably strong. We went back to complain and the staff was a bit dismissive and seemed like we were inconveniencing them! We got them to add more milk to dilute the coffee, but it seemed like it was a chore to them. This is a beautiful coffee spot looking over the bay, but the staff is a bit condescending and unnecessarily rude at times. This seems to be the exception, but still seems unnecessary.

My friend had a disappointing chia pudding one morning and the manager handled her complaint perfectly, apologising, refunding her money and offering her food and coffee in it's place. We were all very impressed. She turned what could have been a negative experience into a positive one.

Great location and lovely meals, treats, and coffee. Outdoor section is cosy and warm in winter and opens up to the views of the Swan River in warmer weather. A little on the pricey side, especially when factoring in the absence of free parking on weekdays. Would be nice if they were open until 4pm instead of 3pm as I would enjoy getting a late afternoon coffee there.

Amazing cafe views over Matilda Bay and super customer service! Great spot to take overseas visitors. Today I had brunch with friends at the cafe and upon clearing plates the waiter noticed I hadn't ate much of the chia pudding I ordered. I explained that it contained spices (cardamon and cinnamon) which wasn't listed in the menu description of the item. Usually this wouldn't be a problem for me, but at the moment I am pregnant and have an aversion to spices. The waiter immediately asked if I wanted a cake or something from their cabinet to eat and gave a full refund. I was pleasantly surprised and appreciated this attentive service.

Waitperson told me I had to wait 40 min for hot food and even for a sausage roll to be warmed up lol and it wasn’t even that busy. I was in utter disbelief. Generally quite slow service. 2. Coffee wasn’t that great.

Went here for brunch around 10am. The pancakes were lovely and the views were of course beautiful, however there was a very persistent fly problem (despite being sat at an indoor table). Flies were constantly buzzing around our faces and trying to get into our food/coffee. Got to the point that when we finished eating we left the restaurant to continue talking rather than sit in and continue to be assaulted by the insect horde. Some kind of fly zapper should surely be used assuming this is a routine occurrence.

Beautiful rennovation, but... Miss the old one, although I am sure they have their reasons. Miss the affordable menu, regular ice creams and chips. I can see why they changed to take advantage of the demographic. My son actually loved the hipster Watermelon and Lemongrass Icy Pole. Which was great because it was nearly $6. I will just have to plan better and buy food on the way next time I go to the river. Probably a lovely place for a date for the sailing set.

Bayside Kitchen doesnt have the best customer service, however, they have become increasingly popular over the years after renovations and new staff (new ownership??). The view whilst enjoying your coffee or meal here is the best.

Beautiful spot by the river with a good variety of food and drinks. Service can sometimes be a bit slow but we when we had a problem with meals coming out at different times, the owner was very apologetic and did all she could to rectify our problem and made sure we left feeling happy.
