We stopped here because of the EV Chargefox located nearby, the plan was to grab some lunch while the vehicle charged. Friendly and efficient café, hot and cold snack and drink options. Indoor seating or under the verandah overlooking the landscape courtyard.

If ever you find yourself in Kojonup then I highly recommend The Black Cockatoo Cafe. I was very surprised at how much I absolutely enjoyed eating lunch at this Cafe. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. While the decor is plain and simple it's also very relaxing both inside the Cafe and outside. The food was really good, I had a BLT and an iced coffee and both were made with lots of flavour in other words simply delicious. There is plenty of parking available and plenty of room both inside and out. It is kept beautifully clean plus The Black Cockatoo is situated at the Kojonup Arts Centre so that is an added bonus. I will definitely dine there again

Not too bad but the food quality, value and service are way below William Woolshed. Service was quite slow. It took a while until a staff cleaned up a table for us. It took even longer to deliver the food that we ordered. Taste wise, nothing special with the food. Food portion were quite small too. Not very good value for money.

Coffee ok but the following 2 quotes sum up the rest of their service: " No, you can't have a piece of that cake (in the display cabinet). It's for tomorrow. It's still frozen." "No, you can't use the toilets (after having coffee and cake there), we've just cleaned them."

This cafe is good - and probably better than most in a country town. Breakfast finishes at 11am strictly. The food was tasty but very basic - no flair! Packet hash browns and underripe tomatoes, but good coffee. When we got there at 11am it was hard to find a clean table to sit at - there were plenty of empty tables filled with crockery. The space is a bit echoey and clinical and lacks atmosphere.

Modern cafe in a regional town with a good menu range, prompt service and a nice table view of the large rose garden maze right beside. Iced mocha was awesome, burger was great but grilled fish was clearly using frozen fillets. But I can't expect too much given it's 150km from Albany. Otherwise, a great place to stopover and for kids to unwind. Heaps of parking in front of cafe. Recommended!

Absolute diamond 💎 of a place like a food oasis in the south west. For a cafe free-style casual experience these guys are knocking it out of the park. Service with a smile is always a standard to try and achieve in the Service industry. Indeed as a former professional Chef myself I know how first contact can make or break an experience. These guys were ticking over fairly busily upon my visit but totally engaged with my partner and myself to ensure we were looked after and served promptly and efficiently. I thought the menu looked a little crowded or the font was making it look too busy perhaps (probably just me). I ordered a simple breakfast wrap which I have to say got a 10 from me , this is not something that happens for me ever, it was nicely presented and tasted amazing aided & abetted by a great coffee and one of their rhubarb cakes which although a bought in product really kept the momentum of awesome in the mouth going until the last bight...on the way back from Kendenup we managed to make it back for another great coffee, but alas was too late for anymore of their great food. Definitely worth stopping in trading hours are a little short a later start at 9 and finish by 3p.m. Regards Andy Brennan.

Black Cockatoo is right next door to an amazing Tourist Centre & complex which incorporates The Kodga Place & The Rose Maze. Jack the smiley, local Aboriginal elder will take you an educational tour. Inside is an extensive Aboriginal display. Purchase a delicious coffee and walk the rose maze to read the historic contrasting letters from 3 perspectives of women who lived and survived through war and tough pioneering days. You must stop at this quiet little town for a surprisingly educational, historic place.

Best Cafe in kojonup, steak sandwich was the best I ever have, steak was beautiful cook and melt in your mouth, quality meat. The bacon and Ham are so delicious, strongly recommend when pass by the area. Rose garden is the bonus to stop by.

The Cockatoo Burger was quite decent as the beef patty inside was thick, everyone else was happy with there meals & coffee's. The staff are friendly (as I find in most Australian towns) which makes it an ideal place to stop, relax & stretch your legs on a long drive. They also have a rose maze you can walk around in.

The Black Cockatoo Cafe is a welcome relief for a coffee or snack break on a long drive. It must be a popular stop too, as the times I've visited it's been well patronised by travellers passing through town, and no doubt, a loyal following of locals. A great selection of drinks hot and cold, cakes, slices and hot food. My Chai latte was extra hot as requested, and the citrus tart was creamy and tangy. Next time I shall take pictures to share the delicious experience.

What a lovely cafe! The food was absolutely delicious, I had a panini and my sister had a wrap, both were amazing and the prices are better than you would pay in most places. The service was very fast and friendly. I would highly recommend checking out this little gem if you are traveling in or through Kojonup.

We stopped by to purchase drinks. The coffee and tea both were very nice and came with biscuits. They costed me less than $5. The inside of the cafe seemed very cosy, neat and spacious. Immediately outside the cafe, there was an interesting and fun rose maze which is free for entry. A nice stop for a long driving from Albany to Perth.

Good ace to stopover if you are traveling to Great Southern region ( Albany, Espereance etc.) Approx 200km from Perth. The best part is there's a park outside the hotel , so the kids can enjoy too. Nice milkshakes and burgers. Ample of parking outside the hotel. Coffee ia a must have thing in here. It's just next to the visitor centre , if you couldn't spot it on the first go.

Coffee FAR too hot to drink and no foam meaning it spilt over every bump while cooling down in the car (barista needs more training :-) )..all be it the staff were absolutely wonderful and love the fact that they are about raising funds to save the Black Cockatoo!
