Parked on Essex St. Short stroll to lovely Gino's. Fast friendly service and the food was delicious. We both had Chicken in creamy mushroom sauce, fries and Salad. Sat and watched the world go by. Wonderful.

The guy who made my coffee had an accent - it may have been Italian. It was a great cappuccino, perfect for a chilly morning: of course I sat outside. The foam kept the coffee warm, as intended. My aged co-customers casually chatted in an Italian dialect. We were all happy to be there.

It was good the menu dishes names are in italian but its all readable because the ingredients are in english. Was a really nice place to go and we got about 20 people there short notice (but still reserved) so it was really good quality service. Great selection of drinks and food. There was plenty of tables and chairs which meant we weren't waiting for a seat. My poached eggs were cooked perfectly, husband's pancakes were fluffy. My son enjoyed his hot chocolate. The coffees were hot and made perfectly. I'd suggest everyone visiting Fremantle should visit this place at least once.

Really good burgers and yummy fries. 🥰 I love the made-of-metal ivy curving around the underside of the roof as decoration. Interesting sculpture. :) Thanks for the pleasant, very yummy experience.

Very busy little Italian restaurant! Wait wasn't bad for the amount of people. Garlic bread for entree - soooo good. A little cool but so good and just the right amount of butter and garlic! I had the pork scallopini marsala - the sauce was unfortunately split so oil was rolling around the plate. Good flavour otherwise but piled high with chips and a small salad with ?no dressing? My partner has the linguine carbonara - unfortunately the egg had cooked instead of becoming the delicious creamy sauce it could/should have been. Flavour was so so. Pistachio cannoli and vanilla cannoli - delicious! (My partner, man of many words) Chocolate eclair - delicious and light. Perfection. Staff were friendly for being super busy. Would probably come back again but at a less busy time. Great potential but I think under the pump just a little too much for the main courses.

The eggs benny was nice and simple which I like but the egg white wasn't cooked through and the hollandaise was watery but the bacon was full of flavour. A great cafe in Fremantle. The lunch menu is delicious with lots of variety and its quite reasonably priced. Our group had burgers and focaccias. Everything was freshly made and really tasty. They make great coffee and their cakes and sweet treats are sensational.

Between 11.30 and 12midday you’re too late for the breakfast menu and too early for lunch. That only leaves cabinet food which was all sweets. The staff were pretty offhand and just entertaining each other. Not at all customer-focused. The coffee and sweets were good and the decor genuine.

It was the best coffee and made perfectly as I'm very fussy how I like my coffee. The cakes were yummy too. I will not be having coffee anywhere else in Fremantle from now on!

Gino's isn't where I'd go for a great coffee but it's open early and late, the staff are friendly and there's plenty of space to sit and take in Freo's cappuccino strip. A great place to kick back if you've been walking all day. Coffee can taste a little burnt and might be too hot but it's to the taste of some people.

Had a breakfast here with visitors from overseas before going to the Fremantle Prison. I had banana pancake which was well priced, big portion - it was a delight. My cousin had the meal with the beef sausage and man, the sausage had more beef in it - which means I think they don't use filler/extender so you actually get your money's worth. A must-go cafe in the heart of Fremantle, Gino's has been around for decades. Born out the owner's desire to have a place in Freo that served good coffee, Gino's has done just that for years. The coffee is good, the espresso being one of the best in the Perth area and probably my favorite. Plenty of seats outside to watch people go by on the Cappuccino strip, Italian style. This place is open until late, later than most restaurants in Fremantle, which means you can go after dinner to enjoy a slice of cake or an espresso macchiato.

Good place nice to sit outside in the Sun. Tips for ordering: if you ordering food go to the little counter inside on the right hand side if you're ordering just coffee go straight to the bar or like me ordering both food and coffee go to the little counter ordered both the food will come out to you but you need to pick up the coffee yourself from the bar. It's Italian and they run it like an Italian business get in the mindset! Toilets are located at the back you need the code which changes ask a staff member.

Great location on the strip. A Fremantle intitution. However, probably relying on their reputation a little too much. Staff are a little abrupt and inattentive. Waitress dropped a fork so she left the tray while she went to get another, and we were left with the tray on our table and never made it back with the fork. Then the starter and mains were all brought out at once (!?). I got a seafood tagliatelle and it was a mushy lump, more than likely microwaved, definitely overcooked. The flavour was nice and the seafood was good, so it was a shame the pasta let it down. The fact that we were sitting down-wind from the back alley dhurrie pit was a real turn off too. Have had coffee here before and it's good, but most places on the strip are. Won't rush back unless we are at a loss for a decent coffee and a nice piece of cake.

Fair to say I've eaten in many places around Fremantle but if you're after a guaranteed tasty, home style, traditional Italian food or a classic well roasted coffee - do yourself a favour next time and don't just walk past this place! Trust me, you won't regret it.

It's hard to go past the ginos special, brushetta pepperoni, and seafood risotto (personal favourites on the current menu) coffee is great and the location really can't be beat. Great people watching with the best sunshine on the strip in winter. I just hope they're around for another 17 years.
