Greeted with smiles, beautiful location and the dish I had was quite possibly the tastiest breakfast I've had anywhere in perth! Would have been 5 stars if I didn't find shell in my eggs, the coffee was average also... not that it would stop me going back for more though. Great spot ladies👍🏽

Fantastic cafe that has a compelling menu and wonderful service. We got a mocha and a banana smoothie along side the dill and corn fritters and avocado on toast. The dill and corn fritters tasted a little flat but overall was tasty. The avocado on toast would be better sold as a tomato and avocado on toast. Despite this, the location is wonderful and the service is great.

Beautiful location, nice food, big breakfast is absolutely massive! One of my eggs was forgotten but when I told them they quickly brought two more for me at no cost. One of my poached eggs was hard but the other three were lovely and runny.

Great location and nice atmosphere. Definitely worth the price. However, the number of people overwhelmed the work organisation- empty fridge with cold water, no cutleries filled up on the table, lack of clean glasses for cold water. In terms of food, was big amd worth the price but not decorated at all and didnt taste any spices.

Stumbled across coffee and breakfast heaven with the most awesome views . Where else can you have a jazz band playing at weekend when you have your morning coffee or breakfast . Having travelled 6000 miles - this is probably in my top 3 coffee places in the world. Went three times in a week . Loved it .

Great cafe with great atmosphere. The music is very vibey which makes it a nice place to relax after a bike ride, run or catching up with friends. The staff are very nice and accommodating. I was provided with a free Large chai latte because I was waiting for 8 minutes to be seated. Good menu options with a variety of diffent things to try. I will be returning in the near future.

Pretty average breakfast experience. We had to clear our own table as there were plates and cutlery everywhere. Service was on the slower side. Food wasn't bad. When we left an hour or so later the plates we moved off our table still hadn't been cleared.

Staff - friendly, location - awesome, if you get one of the two good spots towards the back, coffee - excellent, food - fine, but nothing special, prices - what's up with the food prices? $20 for what's a simple breakfast roll (bacon+egg - sassys bacon and egg sanga). This is one of the most expensive cafes in the EQ area - not sure if that's justifiable. Would certainly go back for a coffee though.

Slightly above average. Great view, prompt service but was a little offside with the following. Our 'cold milkshakes' were luke warm because they were put into really hot, fresh out of the dishwasher, glasses. In addition I guess I expected more of my meal, I had the pancakes and they weren't anything special... delicious of course, but I could have easily prepared them at home as it was basically pancakes with jam on top. I guess I just expected to be wowed, and it's what I look for when eating out.

7am dine in experience was underwhelming although we didn't have to wait long for our coffees. Coffees came out looking like a mess. Dirty saucer, coffee Spilled over side of the cup and unappealing look of coffee (lack of latte art and not correctly textured)... Just a general lack of care which made the coffee look terrible but temperature was fine just too milky for a flat white possibly dialling in issue and pressure from the queue causing substandard quality coffees. Nice location but pity about the coffee quality at the time.

Booked a table outside for Sunday brunch. On arrival they hadn't set up enough chairs, there wasn't enough table space for the number of people, and it was in the full sun - not enough shade umbrellas to go around. Upon asking if we could move inside if a table became free they initially said no because we'd booked a table outside, however after some negotiation and lucky timing we were able to move inside for shade. They need to consider putting up some shade sails outside or getting many more umbrellas. The food was great, and so was the view. Just make sure you ask for an inside table if you don't want to end up fried like the bacon on your big breakfast.

The Cafe itself is charming and picturesque, however the breakfast was subpar. We had chosen the buttermilk pancakes with passionfruit and raspberry compote and felt it was dry. It probably would've been a much better meal had it had cream or even ice cream to balance out the strong tangy combined flavours from the raspberry and passionfruit.

Excellent place, very friendly and attentive staff. My husband goes here virtually every week with his friends for Sunday breakfast. Went recently with our family, the staff gave my little nieces extra hash browns as a surprise for free which was lovely. The breakfast portions are large, the food, tea and coffee was all fantastic. Great location on the river. Can't fault this place.

A very busy cafe situated right on the Swan River, small but great service. Ordered a late coffee, best coffee I've had in quite a while. I enquired as to what coffee they used. The waitress was more than happy to tell me that their coffee was supplied by a Fremantle company, the name escapes me now. Thoroughly recommend you give them a go.

Stop here during your walk or cycle along the Swan River. Rubra is a hidden cafe only accessible by passing cyclists or pedestrians walking along Riverside Drive. This gives the cafe a satisfying casual dining experience, popular with lone cyclists and the wayward tourist. The mid- morning sunshine can have some bite, but there limited undercover seating. Best bring a hat just in case

I took my Family here for a birthday bruch after reading great reviews and wasn't disappointed. Service was so friendly. The outlook is beautiful. We were cold so they were happy to switch the heater on, and there were rugs to make you cosy which my kids loved. The service was brilliant and all the staff were super friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. we had left one of our coffees too long and half a cup went cold. I asked for it to be heated and up and instead they insisted to make us another FOC. Food was yummy and plenty of it. When I went for our second round of coffees the lovely lady on the register ( who also made the beautiful cakes, muffins and esserts asked if it was a special occasion. When I told them it was my Mums birthday she said got me to pick out a cake and then got her name and they bought it out with a candle on it and sang happy birthday with us to her. Was so lovely and Mum loved it. She also said it was probably the best cheesecake she had eaten and that is a BIG Compliment a she is a great cook and is a pretty harsh critic. Can't wait to go back. Thans to all of the lovely staff for making it such a lovely morning from my Mums birthday.
