Excellent coffee and a delicious Nutella choc chip cookie which was fresh and the touch of sea salt adds a delicate savoury touch to what would otherwise be death by chocolate. Amazingly fast and friendly service. Minus 1 point for a recyclable cup with a plastic non-eco lid.

Chic looking coffee shop with a few seats inside and outside. Not your typical buzzy Surry Hills cafe, but don’t let that fool you! The coffee is amazing and definitely worth stopping in for, while the snacks look absolutely delicious. A new favourite!

Great fit out and coffee. Located in the quieter side of the new Darling Square precint, this cafe is a hidden gem in the middle of Chinatown. The staff are friendly. There's casual seating on the counter where the barista works and also bench seating against the walls. Great place to grab a cappuccino or latte after lunch at one of the eateries in the area.

XO Seafood Spaghetti is awesome! Taste ing noodle and full of salmon roe with pipi. Beef Rendand Pithivier is tasty. Crispy skin with plentiful beef. It’s taste like upgrade traditional New Zealand pie. Coffee is good! They use the Japan style cup. Perfect taste and temperature. I will back again for this taste good.👍

A specialty coffee cafe right outside my hotel in Sydney! Passionate barista/roaster having a good chat about coffee while I sipped away on my usual tasting trio. Magic : double ristretto with milk in a 5oz cup. Interestingly the house blend of columbia and ethiopia beans which suggests very fruity notes went pleasantly well with milk due to the roasting profile:) not ur usual chocolate and nutty notes but very enjoyable Next v60 Ethiopia Yirgacheffe natural with floral aroma, flavour of blackberry and stone fruit sweetness. Finally ended with the house blend on its own as a double espresso, an excellent finish that tasted like blueberry jam :) Well done.

Good little coffee spot. Very simple menu. Have tried it twice now and both times tasted the difference from the mainstream coffee brands. Definitely better than starbucks which is around the corner. Defintely give it a try to taste different types of coffee.

I got coffee here today at 12:30pm and the two ladies were so nice and welcoming, I will definitely come back. The coffee was the best I have ever had in the CBD area and is comparable to the best of Inner West coffee in terms of quality, like the Alchemy. And also it's ~~ aesthetic and has nice seating inside and out

This is my favourite spot for a coffee when I visit the Darling Quarter / Chinatown area. It is a small and cozy modern space with a blend of wood and stone / concrete surfaces. The friendly and welcoming nature of the space and people will make you feel right at home. My go to is the coffee flight of batch brew, piccolo and espresso. I will always leave it to the barista to recommend the order. I have not been disappointed. If you are not a coffee drinker you will find the teas to be very enjoyable as well. The sparkling or still water is on tap and provided at no extra cost.

We're spoiled for choice when it comes to coffee in Darling Square but there's no doubt that Haven and Edition are the top two. Both have great coffee and fantastic service, with Haven just doing a small selection of pastries and bearing in mind it's smaller size it's better for takeaway or a quick stop. Whereas Edition has more space (and a minimalist Japanese style) and serves a range of good breakfast options, including the delicious spiced eggs, you're better off stopping by for a little longer. Can't go wrong if you visit either of these places!

The five star ratings here are all well deserved and I'm here to add one more. This small Cafe is a little more than a hole in the wall and yet it knows exactly why it exists, to deliver premium coffee and to send you on your way. The Magic was an item to order on the menu along with a small variety of brew and cold brew options, and it was delicious. Flavourful, fresh, and quality grind. There are many food options and outlets at the Haymarket Darling Square precinct, but Haven reigns among them all.

I’ve only been to Havens (both surry hill ones and darling square) countable of time. But every time i come here i always get a decent cup of coffee, simply higher quality than coffee shops you can find in Sydney CBD. Would recommend people who makes their own filter coffee at home to buy some coffee beans here as well. Never get disappointed 👍🏻

Disclaimer - I drink black coffee, so if you prefer coffee with milk, you might have a different experience. My brother (who drinks milk coffee) said it was the best coffee he's had in over a year, so maybe it's not that different. Also, Haven uses a ligher roast for their black coffees, which I prefer. ~~~ So, if you don't know, for a long time there was no good coffee at Haymarket. Haven opened recently and changed that. I'm so glad this place exists. Excellent coffee here, made perfectly every time. Veneziano is still my usual go to place for specialty coffee as the location is more convenient for me and the quality is also excellent, but Haven is neck and neck in terms of quality and possibly better. It's also quieter than Venezaino, although that will probably change as more people find out about it. Australia has some of the best coffee in the world. Haven is (in my opinion) top 2 in Sydney. If you enjoy quality coffee, check Haven out. As much as I'd love this place to remain a hidden secret, I can't deny that the coffee is excellent. Can't think of any downsides, but even if there were, the quality of the coffee means that I can't justify less than 5*. Go visit if you want excellent coffee. When I'm in Haymarket and want coffee, I'll visit every time.

I love this coffee shop. The coffee and food is fantastic. Note this is the smaller location and the menu is a lot smaller compared to the other Haven location by central station, but I prefer this location more. It's quiet. Staff are friendly too

Tasty coffee, well balanced. Chilled vibe with nice music that isn't crazy loud. Chai tea is huge. It comes with I think honey already inside so keep that in mind if you're vegan 😉 Two stools outside, four bar seats inside and four mini tables along the wall.
