Nice location and enjoyed my Market Street Benny, but they forget my friends order. Three of us got our meals in reasonable time but the fourth person was still waiting on their meal well and truly after we had finished ours. He went in once to tell them, waited about 10 minutes and had to go in again and they said they forgot the order. I would have given only 2 stars, but since two staff apologised and gave our friend a complimentary can of coke, they get another star.

Nice location and view but the ordering process was a bit odd. First time going, we couldn't find where to order, then they had technical problems setting up (we were early) and had to wait 30 min before they started taking orders even after they said they could take it on paper. Aside from the wait, food was quite good.

Food was disappointing. Frittata was just semi set egg in pastry! The portion size was just reasonable for the Turkish delight at $15. Two meals came out together and the third after prompting came when we had almost finished. Cake selection was poor. We have been there several times before but this was below expectations. Great setting with loads of potential.

A little piece of Paradise! Escape your worries and enjoy a coffee, tea, smoothie at the Market St Cafe. Situated overlooking beautiful Lake Macquarie adjacent to Wangi Workers Club. Yummy coffee and cake and the service is great. We even had a wonderful guitarist to serenade us! Also Wheelchair friendly.

Asked for a smoothie with Soy Milk and the girl at the front was like so you want 'Lactose Free' 😅 I was like no I want Soy Milk. She eventually got it and that's fine. Smoothie was decent but there was a big chunk of Banana left in the bottom.

We visited out of peak service times Nice food. Staff member who served us was eating her lunch, as others were busy chatting/restocking. Half of our order was forgotten and we had to chase it up - one staff member was apologetic. View over the water is nice.

The kids meals were great and definitely some of the better kids milkshakes out there, but the Vegetarian Loaded Potato was missing too much to be called loaded. If it's loaded, it needs more on it. Even corn and spring onion would have helped and the potato needs to be baked for longer.

We are VERY frequent customers at the café, love sitting by the water having a coffee and cake BUT on our visit last week we were astounded to see the PRICE OF THE CAKES had GONE UP SUBSTANTIALLY. In fact they are more than what you pay in a high class café. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Why is this so. For a lot of people it means they cannot come anymore. There was NO notice to state they had gone up or WHY.
