Ok, this is one of those rare places you go to and fall in love with. The place is very comfortable, the service and staff are exceptional, the restaurant is ultra clean and the food was absolutely perfect. We got the omelet with everything, the flat bread topped with poached eggs and crispy sweet potato and waffles with chocolate and fresh fruit and a couple of coffees. Everything was cooked to perfection. Definitely will be going back to try more of the menu. Well done to all the staff.

Lovely cafe and restaurant tucked in a cosy corner of a street. We wanted to try something different than our usual places and Mikel’s was one of the few that was open for long hours. The coffee was really tasty and the pastry was fresh. Their take on vanilla slice in a cup was brilliant and easier to eat. We had a family sitting next to us and their food also looked and smelled absolutely delicious. Comfortable seating and perfect for deep conversations or simply a good time with friends.

We were driving through fivedock trying to find somewhere to grab a quick bite. Not only was the service friendly and quick but breakfast was amazing and the coffee is honestly the best coffee in Sydney. Will go again for sure

Ok i drive past this place almost every day for work and always say to myself "im gonna stop in and grab a coffee one day". Today i did. If i had known all this time that they had a 20oz coffee cup, omg!!! The coffee is nice, the service was friendly. I will definitely be back to check out the menu. (Not a 20oz cup in the pic but it was my 3rd coffee of the day so i had to co trol myself 🤪)

We were visiting a friend in Five Dock last weekend and decides to visit Mikel Coffee while we were there since it’s always busy. Well, I can just tell you that I need to go back asap! I’ve been craving that delicious haloumi and pumpkin salad everyday 😋 My husband also loved the Souvlaki and we shared the salmon! Oh and btw, give the greek coffee a try if you like real coffee flavor ❤️ so good!

Best coffee shop around the area. I'm a local of Five Dock for many years and I'm happy to see such a nice adding to our community. The shop is so well designed and clean. Their service is flawless and the staff very friendly. Amazing hot and cold beverages. So different to all the usual coffee shops in Sydney. Keep up with the good work

Loved the coffee cake I ordered with coffee. You have to wait to be seated plus table service only if dining in. It's definitely on the pricey side but you'd expect that for the service you get. Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely return again when in the area.

Five dock is absolutely sprawling with cafes and restaurants so to stand out, you really need to shine. Mikel Coffee is my absolute favourite dine in cafe, top notch coffee every time coupled with an unpretentious and reasonably priced menu make for a lovely experience. The decor and staff are absolutely lovely I'd recommend trying the Mexican coffee if you want a sweet treat to start your day.

The coffee was great and the place was nice clean and inviting. Staff were friendly but gave the impression they had somewhere better to be. Coffee took 20 minutes to come and food and additional 25 minutes later. Food was ok, but not worth the price we paid.

Wife and I had coffee and banana bread. Excellent coffee and fresh banana bread. One of the few cafes where we didn't have to ask for water to be served. Waitress ( Elena) looked after us well and service was prompt. Well done to the team and good to see tables separated with plenty of space as per the covid 19 guidelines. Enjoyable experience.

I don't understand the poor reviews on here. I came here once & loved it! Ended up returning multiple times. Excellent service & great array of coffee. If something has not been right they are swift to please you with another offer of order. Their decor is second to none and definitely bring European service to the Inner West which makes all the difference! Great work Mikel!

I have just enjoyed a meal from one of their evening dinner couriers. So unbelievably tasty and just lovely! More than enough chicken, chips and salad for an adult!! Good sized portions. Excellent food and service! I cannot wait to order again.

This cafe has good quality food and coffee. Their desserts are always fresh and the staff happy to service their patrons. Ambience is awesome and the cafe is very clean. We have been there many times in the last month and they have never dissapointed us. Keep up the good work guys!!

One of the best cafes in town. Coffee is extraordinary (try the freddo cappuccino). The food is amazing and based on Mediterranean cuisine. Deserts are fantastic and the staff very friendly. Decoration reminds me of the modern European cafes. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Man ! The grilled chicken with mushroom sauce wedges and salad, it was beautiful. My hubbys omelet was beautiful. But it's salty for him, probably because of feta cheese in it. The cake was wonderful..Big but light . The cream is not from milk. So light . The coffee just amazing. The lemon tea is nice I had amazing experience. The owner is realy friendly. She talks to every costumers. Deffinetly will bring our kids to here. It's probably gonna be our favorite place.

The atmosphere, the beautiful and amazingly friendly staff, the interior and exterior of the venue is outstanding! What more can i say besides you really need to go there. Nice cafe to go chill out on weekends with friends and families. Good ambience and friendly staff. My Cappacino had more milk than usual and so i couldnt finish it. Coffee's are personal choices again so can't complain. While my Eggs Benedict was good, my friend's order came out without egg when we had ordered for one. And when they got him the eggs they were not fried on both sides when we had specifically asked for it. It could have been communication issues but the staff was ready to fix the mistakes without fuss.

Went there for lunch last week with a group. The Mikel Ultimate Burger was sensational; so tasty. Penne Boscaiola smelt delicious, and apparently tasted just as good. Chicken Parma got good reports. The only let down was the Portuguese Chicken Burger, that was just average according to those who had one. The iced espresso au lait was delicious too. We loved the lunch so much, we returned the next day for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was good, but not fantastic. Eggs Benedict was nice, on English Muffins as is only proper. Eggs were perfectly cooked, but the Benedict Sauce was just a little bland. French Toast was a healthy size serving. Other breakfasts were good too. Coffee also was good but not the best I've found. Still, I'm more than happy to recommend Mikel, and we'll go back next time we're in Five Dock.

Friendly and efficient service. We had coffee, tyropita and spanakopita with my wife, what can I say? The home made pastry is incredible, and combined with the filling of cheese and spinach is absolutely yum. We'll be back.

We went when it was very quiet, however our order was wrong. It happens, not a big deal. But when I pointed it out, the waiter and the chef proceeded to loudly argue with each other about it for five minutes, and everyone could hear. This really killed the mood. Outside of that the food was nice and service friendly, but hearing staff yelling about your order is not a plesant experience and made us uncomfortable.
