I went to this cafe when I visited Sydney for New Years. We ordered coffee and some banana breads to go. I accidentally spilled my coffee. The staff was so nice that they gave me another coffee and didn’t even take any extra money for it. Even though the fault was mine. I really liked the ambience and also the staff is so sweet! 10/10 for customer service. Kudos to Modina Cafe! ☺️☺️☺️

In here for a quiet lunch, good vibes and really friendly, relaxed service. Ordered a burger, not a long wait, huge portions, and WOW the burger was delicious! Crispy but soft bun, and some herby flavour I couldn't quite identify (relish?). I will be back!

Unfortunately only discovered this place halfway through my stay in Darling Harbour. They use my favourite coffee, Vittoria, and they certainly know how to make a coffee. Very, very reasonably priced food for the area and delicious.

I have never had a bad experience at Modina and it is my regular go-to for all things breakfast and coffee. The service is genuine, the coffee (mocha being my favourite!) is delicious and their smashed avo is amazing! Highly recommend!

We were in Sydney this weekend & had lunch - fantastic egg & bacon burgers then went back for breakfast this morning. Best French toast I've had in a long time. Dad loved the Irish breakfast wrap with delicious black pudding. Coffees were great too. The staff & owners are lovely. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I have been coming to Modina Cafe just about every day now for a number of years - it’s my local cafe and indeed many of my neighbours and the local business people and workers also frequent Modina daily. No one is more thoughtful than Anita and Steve the owners of this cafe. No where do I feel more welcome or at home. The food is delicious and the coffee is sensational ( I drink long blacks which not many can make palatable but these guys make great coffee) and the cocktails are also amazing.

A nice selection of treats, the staff were really nice and were a stand out looking back. Really laid back cafe perfect for drop by's. Smoothie I ordered was average, which was dissapointing (sugar is not flavour), but the mango coconut toasted bread (cake) made up for that.

We ate here for dinner during Vivid since we we're on a time crunch and it looked empty. I don't think they are normally open for dinner so that might be the reason our experience was sub par. The staff was pretty timid with service considering we were 3 of 5 people in the restaurant at first. The food was ok but one of our meals was not what was on the menu. It seemed like the chef threw something together maybe due to not having the correct ingredients on hand. Overall, the food wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic either.

As someone who believes in a great breakfast to start the day - Modina covered all bases with their friendly staff and atmosphere, great choice of food and wonderful coffee. Want thank the kind staff. My toddler was distressed and wanted milk. I went in and asked for a cup of milk & offered to pay for it. The staff member, seeing the distress, gave me the cup of milk for free and wished me the best. Thank you for your kindness & excellent service. Made a difficult situation better.

Great coffee, food and friendly service. The owners Anita, Steve and their staff go out of tbeir way to make you feel welcomed. We go there every Saturday and Sunday morning for coffee. Jayanna my 14 month old moodle has a bowl of poached chicken, a baby chino and her own water bowl. Where else can you experience hospitality like that in the heart of Sydney. A place to come to if you want to experience great good, service and true Sydney hospitality.
