Visited on a cold Saturday afternoon in late Spring. Not many patrons - about 14 - which was good as the two table staff appeared pressured. Hopefully on a weekday, when nearby offices are open, they have additional staffing. Extensive food menu with slightly different options for Brunch and Luncheon. Good wine menu. I enjoyed our meal: both quality and portion size were very good. Only two minor gripes: i) I requested chilli oil to spice up my seafood casserole; unfortunately the oil had turned rancid; ii) Surcharge levied if paying with credit card.

The staff and management were great! I spent a lot of time here during a very lengthy trial in the Downing Centre District Court where I was a key witness. When I say a lot of time I mean a huge amount of time - like days and days on end. The food and service were great and consistent and the staff were very accommodating. Don't be surprised to see some very key lawyers and Crown Prosecutors here due to the proximity to the Court and the DPP HQ next door!

THE BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD! After having our holiday cancelled due to the flooding this is exactly what we needed. The staff were very kind and accommodating, allowing me to swap the fires for brown rice. The very affordable prices, great specials ($7.50 espresso martini), calming environment, friendly staff and delicious food made this an experience I will never forget. We even went to go back there for dinner the following night, but unfortunately it was closed. I would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant opposite Hyde park within Sydney CBD.

Nice atmosphere with frien dfly service albeit a bit slow given that we were the only one there and we were only asking for shelf standard item. One order came out, the banana bread only after we finished our coffee. Not a bad place other than the above. Price range is medium.

Went to The Canopy for a quick breakfast and ordered an omelette and coffee to be served at the same. I was astounded to be given a huge whole egg omelette (mushroom, untrimmed bacon, spinach & cheddar cheese) with 2 slices of toasted sour bread, but waited a bit for my coffee, as they made a mistake with my order. The omelette was a bit bland to my taste, so I asked for pepper to be brought, which never arrived. The coffee was reasonably good, so cannot complain. Breakfast + coffee = $19.00.

I have been going to the canopy for at least 8 years. They are always polite, very efficient service and the food is good. Their chai lattes are the best I've had. The coffee is not bad, it definitely wakes me up for the day. The coffee and bacon & egg roll deal for $8.50 is excellent. Their bacon & egg rolls are sooo good. Highly recommend going here.

Came here for the second time while the first time was a take away coffee. The female cashier staff is still as mean as last time. I guess it is not an issue with a bad day then. Nice coffee and very friendly and helpful covid safe waiter.

Stopped by inbetween touristy stuff. Still serving lunch at around 3 when other venues nearby had stopped. Had a lovely lamb salad and partner had a chicken and mango salad. Hearty portions, no skimping on meat or salad. Also had a portion of beer battered chips which were to die for. Lovely, polite young ladies serving. Great value and great portions. Definitely worth a visit. Inside and outside seating.

Food was good, service was iffy but seemed to be the exception, not the norm. The server got confused on what the cocktails we're and brought the wrong drink which I didn't get to correct until the food was brought out. For 20-30 minutes I waited for the correct drink while I ate and finally flagged down another waitress who stated he was about to make it. At that point, asked for the check and left since I'd be waiting another 10 minutes before he brought it. If it we're busy I could understand but their were 2 staff members serving a total of 5 tables. Good food but not worth another visit

What a wonderful place! We were visiting and found The Canopy on Eat Club, and happy we did! Visited on a Saturday, had a booking for 11.45 and our friends ran 45mins late, the staff were so friendly and attentive never once making us feel awkward or in the way. We had some drinks and the cheese platter while we waited. Once everyone then arrived we ordered from both the breakfast and lunch menu keeping everyone happy. 5 mains with more drinks followed...all were tasty, fresh and generous portions! So well priced, couldn't have been happier or better fed.

This Cafe at lunch time has some hefty prices, but the dishes are well sized. We've used the "eat club" app to get some great specials. Have had the sirloin steak with salad and fries, also had the steak sandwich - both meals were quite good. Service is great, have had hiccups at the register though.

We had the big brekkie and the canopy nest. Both dishes were decent, though I expected something else when I ordered the canopy nest. It was not that of a healthy option. Generally speaking they did not have many healthy options on their menu. Spot is great, especially the outside seating on a sunny day. Staff was friendly though we had catch their attention for condiments like salt and pepper etc. a couple of times as they were not on the table. All in all a good experience but nothing out of the ordinary.

Best coffee and latte in town. Had breakfast here two days in a row. Egg Benedict was amazing. Friendly environment. I liked the fact that servers were dressed up nicely and were very professional. It very conveniently located across from Museum station to get the much needed fuel before a busy day of exploring Sydney.

Went there for a team lunch today - honestly, the best gluten free lunch I've had in the CBD to date. I had pumpkin and quinoa salad, it turned out to be on special today and came with a free drink - I ordered almond cappuccino, and yet again, it was one of the best almond caps I've had in the city. Top marks all around - cool space, good food and great coffee. My team mates ordered take-away coffees on my recommendation as we were leaving - and they, too, loved theirs. Will be back for sure

It's ok. I tried three different pizzas. They all had a great base but all tasted ordinary, nothing special. Pretty boring food. Garden salad was ok but rather oily. Service was ok but not very attentive. And it's just not that nice a spot...you can eat outside, but it's noisy and there is too much car traffic.

This place has a bit of a hotel cafe feel, but the food is good and the service is prompt. It has plenty of space, and is very central to the city. I personally think the eggs benedict is one of the better ones around. Sit outside if you can for some good city people watching.

We had lunch at The Canopy with some friends on Sunday, right after the city2surf race. We had very good food, beer and wine. Vanessa was lovely, normally they don't serve desert for lunch, but she asked the chef if I could get one. Vanessa you made my day with the chocolate fondant! Thank you! Boasting park views in the bustling metropolis that is home to many legal eagles swarming the nearby Downing Centre, the interior wood walls and floor to ceiling glass windows let in a lot of light providing a sophisticated space for all ocassions. The outside coffee cart is setup for the masses of food traffic of workers, the bar and food catering to the next door hotel guests, residential area and commuters as this venue reflects the personality of this melting pot of lifestyles in and around the CBD. THE CANOPY CLUB SANDWICH is jam packed with layers of flavour! Pesto tossed chicken breast, bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, egg avocado salsa and aioli. Such a substantial portion which could easily be shared as its accompanied with fries. The mixing of meats, the crunch of the veg with the mushy textures of egg-avo-aioli were a treat with every bite. We ended up sharing mains as we were envious of the other's order when they were brought to the table: THE PRAWN LINGUINI of al dente pasta and prawns swimming in a coating of white wine, garlic, baby spinach and cherry tomato really reminded me of a version of this Jamie Oliver establishments do. There's a slight kick in this that I like with a good balance of protein and pasta. Just make sure to mix in all the elements – the dressing here makes this dish, The grand showstopper was their CRISPY SKINNED BARRAMUNDI which had a soft flake as you ran your knife on it. Served with garlic prawns and a mediterranean style quinoa salad. It also passed the crispy skin test – done perfectly. In terms of service there was a nice flow as the staff have a large area to work and maintain both indoors and out. We were given just the right amount of attention without intrusion, the recommendations were spot on, the customer service all round from both the Supervisor Scott and his team who took turns looking after us impeccable. The versatility of the space as a brunch/lunch destination, stylish bar and coffee-on-the-go gives you many reasons to revisit the charming space. Definitely a must over the Sydney Festival season and beyond!
