A lovely little location for a quiet bite to eat just off the main road. Nice cool airflow and lovely, friendly countenance of the staff when taking my order made for a lovely morning. The Devonshire Tea is superb and and as my partner puts it "Tis Good!". The scones are really nice and fluffy and a great shared or all to yourself.

Lovely atmosphere. Delightful staff. Enough vegetarian options to keep this vegetarian happy. :D The food looks great, yet manages to give the feeling of home. Yes, like the scene from Ratatouille. I'm going to be a regular customer and encourage my friends to come to Berrima and check out this gorgeous cafe :) High recommend the Bilpin Non-Alcoholic Ciders, especially, the apple and ginger one, it blew my mind!! :D

Five stars for the staff alone! We arrived for late lunch and the girl behind the counter/ taking care of our table couldn’t be more accommodating and kind. Super fast service too! I had the salad, which was perfect. Chips were amazing as were the corn fritters. Thanks for a great visit!!

Dog friendly as well as having some delicious gluten-free options! They brought our little dog some homemade peanut butter cookies that he loved and the coffee was great. Nice peaceful location, definitely will visit again.

A sunny morning in Berrima and breakfast at The Courtyard Cafe does not get much better! The staff were super friendly, there was a great range on the menu and the food was spot on. The big breakfast was just that, big! Coffee was great and the milkshake was top shelf. Thank you so much for a lovely breakfast, we will be back for lunch next time.

First time visiting. Lovely setting. We sat outside but you can sit indoors. Ordered Turkey, avocado and cheese toasted sandwiches. Yum! Recommend for a good place to rest on a day trip through Berrima, NSW. The Courtyard is actually located off the main road, so there is peace and quiet too.

Really nice food and great atmosphere. Ordered chicken burger with chips, no tomato but it came with tomato anyway. We also ordered the veggie burger with chips but while very nice flavour the patty didn't hold together well at all. The ploughman's lunch was spot on perfect. We received the food in a little bit of a trickle one after the other which would be fine but we had no cutlery for the person to start enjoying the ploughman's lunch while the toast was hot. She went in asking for cutlery and it was brought out immediately. Pricing is what I would expect for a tourist town. The busker nearby was very talented and added to the nice calming environment.

Under new ownership the Courtyard Cafe is just off the main street of Berrima and worth a visit. The in-house special was the ‘Triple B’. The Beer, Bean and Beef pie. At first it seemed a curious mix but the beer added a sweet flavour and the beans went well with thick chunky pies of juicy beef steak. Also, the pie was massive, so we definitely got our money’s worth. I can still taste the sweet subtle beer flavour, all the flavours complimented each other. Stopped for lunch and ordered a Reuben Sandwich and a Ploughmans Lunch. Wow they were sensational, almost perfect, even the coffee was great. The best lunch we have had in a long time and this place is a real hidden gem just down a short pathway in the middle of Berrima. Ill be back 😁

We ordered a Ploughman's for 2, I've had one before which was so nice but this time was mainly lots of lettuce and dried fruit usually there's toasted bread and pickles we had a couple of plain bread rolls and a couple of slices of meat wasn't really a Ploughman's Lunch.You would have seen most of it came back

Very busy on the Queen's Birthday, so difficult to judge. We just had some toasted sandwiches and coffee and the wait wasn't that long😊. It's s nice spot to stop and enjoy a coffee or lunch.

They promote coffee big time but serve tea at less than the desirable temperature. The caesar salad was nice, not great, but it left a pleasant after taste. I prefer my chicken grilled and served hot, not fridge cold. I refer the egg freshly poached and runny, not hard-boiled and fridge cold. The quality of a caesar salad says a lot about a cafe/restaurant. Prepared and presented with care, it's a hard dish to beat. I suspect the other dishes at this cafe are ok, but no better. I will not hasten to return.

Lovely fresh food and the cafe spotless. The staff were lovely, so friendly and my little dog was made very welcome. Now this is important; they know how to make milkshakes the old fashioned way. None of this flat milk served barely cooler than room temperature and served in a jam jar.

Came here Saturday morning and was here with my wife.I just wanted something simple, just a bacon and egg roll. No biggie... Was not prepared for the amazing service and the roll was amazing, flavoursome bacon and egg but on a milk bun...who knew? You have to try it. Came back this morning and had the till again and it was exactly as I had it. The staff are amazing good friendly folk that you want to adopt! If you are ever in Berrima, you are not looking after yourself if you don't come to this place. I had the waffles as well. PS..if you see someone laying on the floor..it's me. I live here now

Very friendly staff - it appears to be a family run cafe. Great charm inside - very cosy, relaxed and inviting. Food was pretty good and had a very country, hearty flavour. Gluten Free options were a bit limited. I'd suggest to management that they have meat patties or chicken options that are not all preprepared with breadcrumbs or other ingredients with wheat.

Being from England, I am always on the lookout for a great Devonshire tea and having travelled all over Australia, at last I have found that place in Berrima at The Courtyard Cafe! Warm and nicely sized scones, a generous serving of jam and most importantly, the clotted cream! Really fantastic value too and peaceful location. Thank you!

Went for drive on a sunny Saturday last week and came across this place. We were greeted by the lovely Lydia, she was chirpy and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, Angus beef 🍔 and the chicken pesto Panini was good too. The customer service was to notch. Would definitely return in the near future 😁🥳

Very cute, lovely service, delicious pulled pork bun with slaw. Milkshakes were more similar to chocolate milks (for us Americans anyway) but still delicious. Highly recommend. Wonderful place to stop and eat between Canberra and Sydney.

Food was pretty good (though my vege burger was burned). Staff were very friendly and helpful on a very busy day. But the food service itself let them down - burned vege pattie as I mentioned earlier, and they neglected to bring all our food out - even after we asked where it was, it took too long to finalise the order, and we had to go (and we then got a dirty look from the staff member who issued the refund for the food that never came). I get that it was busy, but a better overall service experience would absolutely get them a fourth star.

Above and Beyond So I’ve been to this cafe quite a few times and as usual the coffee was great and the food good too. But this time I left my jacket and it’s contents behind.
