Cozy little cafe on Marion Street, not far from the Marketplace shopping centre. We walked in and there was seating available. Staff were very friendly and brought us water, menus and smiles straight away. The coffees are good and come with a cookie. We also liked the brunch options and array of pastries available.

Lovely food and drink, and the staff and owner are beautiful people. We’ve lived close to Wayne’s Place for over 2.5 years and they have always been so welcoming and friendly. I love it for a eat in brunch, and I get a coffee to go when I walk past. They deserve more than 5* in my opinion.

Best cafe in the area. Everyone is really helpful and friendly, large coffee is rich and tasty and comes in a big mug which is very satisfying! Homemade muffins are wonderful as everything I've tried on the menu (so far!)

This place has been recommended by Leichhardt locals many times, so I finally tried their breakfast on weekend. There is a super professional junior man working at the bar, very fast and professional and it was absolutely impressive experience for me. I REALLY enjoyed their coffee and the big breakfast. I will go back there soon.

This has hit our top 10 places to eat in Leichhardt. The atmosphere is very casual and carefree. Staff are fantastic always asking if the food is OK. Yes they have a wine list but it doesn't start till 11.30 am. Omg how to describe the food. It is great. Had two dishes on beets ( which is trout as the protein) and the the seared pork with quinoa. Both delightful in different ways. Had the cake if the day and the lemon tart for desert. Knew that the coffee would be to string for me so Had a weak long black to go with it. Hubby loves the bickie with the coffee.

Wayne's Place is consistent with their excellent food, coffee and service. I come here daily for coffee and often for meals. They have never disappointed. Aupu has a magic touch with flavour combinations. The Beet-umi, Vutta Bhaji and Wayne's Reuben are particular favourites. Run by a lovely local family who support the community not just with a great Cafe, but through fund raisers and donations to local schools. This is one small business doing it right. I highly recommend a visit - you'll soon become a regular

Great little spot for breakfast. Food was fresh and not heavy and nicely presented. We order a couple unique twists on breakfast menu items and both pleasantly surprised how tasty they were. Service was also quick and friendly. Will be back 👍🏾

We have been to Wayne's Place a few times. The coffee is consistently good. My mocha is always a glass of creamy deliciousness. My husband's skinny cap is always spot on. And they come with a side of biscuit/shortbread. Food wise - everything is freshly made. Our family always orders something with a side of their home-made chutney (which we keep telling the cafe to bottle and sell!). Will always come back.

My favourite local coffee place - literally across the road from where I live. I’ve had mochas at other places and I have to say, my favourite is here at Wayne’s Place. I’ve eaten here a few times for breakfast or brunch, and it does not disappoint. Great little spot to catch up with friends. The staff are super friendly also. Still have yet to try dinner here!

****UPDATE****** I bought the Chicken and Lemon Myrtle pies (take-away) for the family for dinner yesterday. and they were outstanding! My favourite cafe now does dinner. We tried it last night and it did not disappoint! The food was perfectly cooked and the presentation was everything you would expect from Apu and his team. The menu is concise (3 choices for each course) so you aren’t overwhelmed by choice and you know it’s all fresh ingredients. Good value for money and a great place for a casual dinner.

We’ve been ordering coffees from here daily since the covid lockdown started. After 6 months they’re consistently decent coffees we can attest to that! On the occasions that I have eaten the food has been great and the service exemplary. Just ordered another 2 coffees now to start our day.... ;-)
