Such great fish and chips here. They definitely don't skimp on the portions or the sauce. Amazing quality seafood too! The battered barramundi and prawn cutlets is very good. Would definitely come back.

Great food, Friday night there was a live one man band there was such a great atmosphere. This seems to be a very popular spot, get there early if you want a table the sunsets are amazing from here too. Portions are generous staff are friendly. Great experience, highly recommended.

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had hands down! We ordered the Red Emperor with a side of chips and both were cooked and flavoured to perfection! Friendly staff, good service, they also handed us free sauce on the house. Love this place!

Wow!! Amazing food and location. My partner and I had barramundi, red emporer and chips and were blown away by the delicious tasting food. Best fish and chips we have had in ages! So good that we came back the night after for round 2!! Location doesn’t get better as well - we watched the sunset both nights as we enjoyed our dinner - definitely a must for anyone coming to 1770 ❤️

This was the best fish and chips I had ever. My partner who never liked fish or had eaten it stole half of mine. We ordered the local catch of Large Mouth Nannygai (which was so fresh) with calamari crumbed, chips & potato scallop. For the overall experience I rate it a 5 out of 5. An absolute must if you enjoy a good fish and chip spot.

Great service best fish and chips ever fresh crunchy chips the prawns were great also as was the fish. The owner was sitting with his family and seen that we were trying to find a table. He brought one of his over, which was so good of him as he had a large group. The live music was great, that was a Thursday night so not sure what nights the music is on. A really great night.

Came here every night we stayed in 1770 for fish and chips and some of the most amazing sunsets I’ve ever seen (right on the Marina)! Travali was amazing!! Huge portions and loads of (free) sauce. Staff super helpful and friendly :) Best fish and chips in town - can’t recommend enough!

Food was amazing! If we didn’t live so far and only holidaying here for the week this would be our go to spot. Food was so cheap with decently large portions couldn’t even finish the $4 chips, was great! My friend and I both as picky as each other were so pleased with all of it and we even got lucky enough to see dolphins swimming in the water in-front of us while we ate. Definitely the place to go if you’re looking for delicious food!

We visited this place during our motorhome tour. We didn't know this place but wanted to give it a go. We had fish (grilled) and chips. Shanon is a very good cook and a very nice person. His Aioli (home made) is the best I have ever had. The meal was absolutely delicious. The fish is from local fishermen so they are fresh. We were there in the evening and you can watch the beautiful sunset over the harbour. As everywhere in this region, there will be mossis in the evening but Shanon will provide mossi coils.

My partner and I agree these are by far some of the best fish&chips we've ever tasted! We had the red emperor battered and calamari.. both so fresh and light and fluffy and perfect batter! Awesome chips, crunchy and crisps- just how I love them. Complimentary sauce and plenty of lemon are great touches, Thankyou. Delicious gravy, such speedy service given they were busy (Friday night) and the sweet young girl on the till was very polite and efficient :) The only negative - that this place isn't closer to home!! Thanks for the yummyness guys, you're doing a fab job!

Seriously good fish & chips with an even better menu! The salt&pepper prawn roll with fresh colourful salad was absolutely delicious! I wish we had something similar in the Scenic Rim, I'd make it a regular Sunday arvo family feast as the price didn't break the budget. A big thank you to the lovely man who served me and threw in some tomato sauce containers for my kids who usually fight over one.

Officially best fish and chips I've had on years. Serve of whiting included 6 pieces and was mild and fresh. Chips were generous and crispy pm the outside, fluffy on the inside. Great service, great location. Will definitely be back.

Love the fish and chips from here been 4 times over the past 2 years and it is always consistently great. Awesome crumb and everything tastes fresh. Long lines sometimes, however not long wait times. The people in the kitchen are very efficient.

Our friend Dan told us to be sure to get our fish n chips from the Rusty Pelican and what great advice that was!! Four of us had a delicious seafood feast: calamari two ways, scallops, prawns, mussels and crumbed and battered reef fish. Hot, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside and fresh, fresh, fresh. Great fish and chips, we got the local fish battered and grilled - really tasty fish and the batter was great. We’d tried the other place in town the day before which was good but Rusty Pelican was better.

Omgosh the food was so delicious. We had the grilled and crumbed red emperor one night for dinner with pineapple fritter and chips and a potato scallop and it was divine. As it was delicious my husband and I went back the next day and this time we ordered 1 crumbed red Emperor, 1 battered mackeral, 2 potato scallop and 2 pineapple fritter (to die for) with sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on it and it was amazing. We also ordered a yacht dawg and worth every penny. Definitely would recommend other visitors to eat there. Great job guys! Definitely coming back!

My boyfriend and I shared the Pelican Basket. Its not the cheapest fish&chips; however, the taste is ABSOLUTELY worth the money! The battered sweet lip was incredible, the chips cooked to perfection, and the calamari was certainly the best I've ever eaten! Despite the crowd, there was barely any wait. Luckily we had some deck chairs in the car because the Rusty Pelican is a popular spot to watch the sunset. Highly recommend!

Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. I had the red emperor and it was beautiful. They give you so much food for the amount you spend. Great value for money. I got the pelican pack which is only meant to come with 4 fish but they gave us 6. Also you get lots of chips for very cheap. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone driving by or staying in town. I know I will definitely be coming back. 👍

Really friendly and a lovely location to eat fish and chips. We took our dog along and I loved that there were local fish to choose from (really enjoyed the bustard bay mullet). Sadly the burger buns had sold out before I got to order so I didn’t get to try a Sweetlip burger but no doubt because it was all very fresh and delicious.

My partner and I just spent 6 days in 1770 - Agnes water and I can tell this is the best fish and chips all around! Fish comes straight from the sea to your plate. They cook it nicely too and you can feel they look after cleaning and changing oil from fryers regularly. Plus you'll get the best views whilst eating!
