Been wanting to give this place a go as many rave about their burgers. They are hidden in an alleyway and have a simple menu selection. Maybe I had too high of an expectation. The burgers priced at $12 wasn’t reflected in the size; it was quite small at that price point. Especially with a side and drink, it can easily turn into a $30 meal per person. Service is also questionable, depending on staff. Don’t get me wrong though, it was a definitely a decent burger with real soft buns and flavourful patty. There just wasn’t anything bad or amazing, and I wouldn’t mind getting my burger fix elsewhere as parking in the valley can get quite difficult too.

Modest range of burgers on their menu - the ingredients are fresh, good quality, reasonably sized and priced. Tucked away in a seeming alleyway that is surrounded by other vibey stores. The burgers itself - sauces lean towards the tart side and the size of their burgers could be bigger given the price point. Not a bad feed overall; and parking is challenging around the area.

Thought I would finally check out this burger joint after hearing so much about it, had high expectations. I like how the menu is very basic and not many options. The burger was good, but didn't have a lot of flavour. I liked the bun they used. The chips where fresh and good quality oil was used. Enjoyed the special sauce. Decent price. Service could have been better, I had an issue checking in and the guy flat out said well you can't eat here (very rudely) based on that, wouldn't go back.

Best burger!! Visited Bens burgers for the first time. Burgers were very delicious and meat patty was juicy. Bun was so soft and creamy! Chips were so good. Yummy! Very impressed with the quality and taste of these burgers. We had the regular cheese burger and fries and found it to be very tasty. Also ordered the original ginger beer which is a standout. Would highly recommend but can only rate this a 4 star as the extras to make this a more substantial meal are quite expensive eg. bacon, extra beef patty turn a $12 burger into a $22 burger, which just doesn’t quite compete with some of the other offerings around for $5 less. However if you’re not price sensitive, go crazy and you won’t regret it!

After knowing about the place for several years I finally got off my ass and tried it Is it solid?... Eh yeah, there was nothing really bad about the burger, but nothing amazing either. Reminded me exactly of Chur just down the road flavour wise Was waaaay undercooked, gave me a tiny bit of food poisoning really (just crumbly stomach let's say...). I love my burgers pink/medium, but this was too close to rare. Loaded fries were just chilli beef with some finely grated cheese on top. Alright but I won't get again. Shake was exactly what I ordered, peanut butter and choc. Just like some Hershey's syrup with peanut butter melted into it. Delicious. Brisbane's burger game has stepped up so far lately that, while I can suggest coming here for a point of comparison, that's about it.

The burger was easy to chew and swallow. I could hold it in one hand. You can see in the pictures that my brother could hold a burger in one hand and punch down a beer with the other. A hidden gem (well, not that hidden - a lot of people seem to know about this place) that is nice and cute. It has a few tables so it gives you a frendly feel. The good thing is they only have 3 burgers (one is vegetarian) and for me is very helpful as I tend to spend a lot of minutes thinking what should I get from the menu 😂. Good prices, good burgers, good milkshakes. I don't have anything bad to say about them.

Ben's Burgers is a small restaurant which is quite hard to find since its entrance is slightly hidden. I'd say their whole philosophy is: "Come in, get a burger, eat it, and leave." It doesnt have an especially good vibe, comfy seats, or anything like that, but they make a bloody good burger for $11. Consequently, these guys are an awesome option for uber eats, because you get the awesome burger in the comfort of your own home. However, even though the burger is amazing, I think it was a little bit smaller than other options availible. Also inportant to note is the no alterations policy. It's fine if you're not a fussy eater and just want a good burger, but if you want to remove something, or switch it up, you're not going to have a good time.

It's been 5 months and 20 some days since I last had Ben's Burger. Since then, I have had numerous burgers across various countries and three continents. None came remotely close to Ben's. Not in Australia, not in Asia, nor Europe. Juicy and the right kinda fatty. It's what burgers dream to become. Living in Norway, I wish I could get have them delivered here. In all of my travels, Ben's has stood out to me as the best burgers in Brisbane - hands down the most satisfying and consistent experience so far. Their "cheesy" is my personal favourite, with their special sauce adding that slight extra zing of flavour to an already amazing flavour combo. Their milkshakes are amazing and compliment their high standard of food, and as a milkshake fanatic, I do not say this lightly. I think it goes without saying that I highly recommend Ben's to anyone in search of an almost spiritual burger experience.

Pretty good burger. They look a little small in size however the size is quite deceptive, as my burger busted me thoroughly. This is an excellent local hamburger joint. The wonderful people who work here are down to earth and happy. The food is excellent and fresh. It’s so easy to access this place (if you’re a local) if your not a local, you will enjoy looking for this place and when you find it, it will feel like finding an oasis in a desert. I went off Ben’s for a while as their form slipped (the chips were greasy AS, for one thing), but I’ve been a few times lately and they’re back on top of their game, I am happy to report. The classic burger is the best in the city in terms of patty juiciness, char, overall flavour, and bun to burger ratio. The fries are back to being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Maybe they’ve got a new fryer - I dunno, but they’re definitely deserving of their reputation.

This places burger’s are amazing! I visited the west end one a lot last year and finally got to visit the Fortitude Valley one for the first time today (super sad that they aren’t in west end anymore). The restaurant is in such a nice alleyway and offers nice indoor or outdoor seating. The only downfall is that they don’t have the famous chicken burger (or chicken at all) at fortitude valley BUT the burger of the month was incredible. 🙌🏼

I kid you not I used to get burgers from all over Brissy and the east coast for years, even while I came here a bit for monthly special burgers, but I love a place that has an epic standard menu burger. And a double cheesy (with bacon and jalapeños) is a must for any burger lover. They have had some awesome monthly specials which is when I usually go here Best burgers I’ve had so far here have been the cheesy variations, lamb burger, umami burger. Had burgers all over the globe, but a simple cheeseburger rubs me the right way and these guys do it very well Special sauce on point. Buns quality. Ben’s for me has the best patties in the game that I’ve consumed too

Small menu but great quality food. They don't change the ingredients lists for orders though but if you have an intolerance/are vegan they are happy to. They have two or three meat burgers and a mushroom one also, chilli cheese fries, normal fries and milkshakes and a few bottled drinks(soda and water). Once you go Bens, you compare every other burger - unfortunately none will live up to its standard. You end up switching sauces at other burger shops, to try and replicate it (when you don’t have immediate access to their mouth watering delicious classic.) You test out other pickles and find them wanting, you cast out bacon from burgers - you drive yourself crazy knowing you that any burger that follows will solemnly lead to disappointment. This is literally the best burger ever created in the history of burgers. When I get married, my guests will be getting Bens Burgers and my vail will be lined with their fries.

We were visiting from California and read great things of this place so decides to have dinner here. She was very kind and gave us some nice suggestions and recommendations. However there was another girl with short black hair who was extremely rude and off putting. After I told her there was a bug on my platter she gave me two options, a refund or to remake my burger. I told her I didn't travel all this way here just to leave without trying the food. I asked for another special sauce and she charged me for it. I was quite shocked as if that were to ever happen in the states they wouldn't have charged us for the food after seeing a bug let alone a sauce. The sad part about it is she looked at me like I was the crazy one for there being a live bug on my platter, and didn't even apologize...this was quite disgusting and absurd...in the states I am a local guide and this would have never happened. Danika however was kind enough to apologize for the incident and the food was extremely delicious so no biggie. Today we have returned and there was another rude employee who rushed us telling us they are only doing take away even though we got here at 1:36 and that my aunt had already got a seat for us while we searched for a parking. Luckily there was another nice gentleman here, Jack to make up for the second poor customer experience...our milkshakes were very liquidy and thin and he gladly made them thicker even though the other rude one with the shoulder lengthed black straight hair was obviously in a rush to get out of here, as he was counting down every millisecond (not a very good impression to make on visitors from out the country, especially not me as I am a world-class blogger, but hey if that's the kind of people you want to represent your establishment then that's on you). Was looking forward to blogging and ranting and raving about this place due to the quality food and Jack and Danika being such incredible employees, but the rude ones has me feeling less inclined to do so. We shall see.

Y'all need to stop what you're doing and make your way to Ben's Burgers. They know wassup. Last time I was there, I bit into my burger and my eyes rolled back in my head. You might want to wear clothes that are a little forgiving - if you know what's good for you, you'll be going back for seconds. The staff are the kind you'd want running your own place, if you had one. But you don't, because you spend all your money on your new-found Ben's Burgers habit.

Obscenely tasty food. The bun was soft and white, the patty way medium with a nice charing on the outside, and the salad was lovely and fresh. And the chips!!!! They must have been fried 22 times. They were beyond crunchy with an amazing pillowy filling. Match it with a pale ale and you're in heaven. The only downside was the service was quite random and getting a seat can be difficult.
