The burgers buns are nice and soft but a bit oily for my liking. Got large onion rings for $8 and was a large serving, the crisps is nice but only half battered through the rings, same thing very oily therefore couldn't eat too much of it. Would say it's a normal burger joint, would be good if they had package deals with burger+drink+sides.

Burgers, onion rings and malt shake tasted great! The Buffalo wings unfortunately were on the saltier side, even saltier with the blue cheese dip. I also remember being the burgers/buns being larger before. Went in for a late lunch and the restaurant environment required some cleaning (tables and toilets etc.)

We had a great first experience here with staff being extremely friendly and accomodating. Portion sizes are surprisingly generous, especially for the pricing. The milkshakes were amazing and again great value. Philly cheese steak was a little tough and salty but they can be at times. The tater tot nachos were great but a little soggy which in fairness is hard to avoid when they are loaded with chilli. We will definitely be back.

Food was good value as we used our eat club voucher but big props to the young lady who served us (sorry couldn’t see a name badge to get your name) she was absolutely amazing! Having lived in Australia for going on 15 years now I have come to learn that customer service here is pretty average to be honest but this lady was a superstar! Very friendly and engaging and very attentive! Would come back just for the service :)

Not as kitsch or retro as the previous iteration of Johnny Rockets. I miss the dancing and the jukebox. What I will say is that, the burgers and fries are tasty which is all I need really. Johnny Rockets Australia has maintained the American taste. In a crowded burger market in Brisbane, this place is underrated, but consistently good. @tinmanfromAus

I went here today for a burger and and some onion rings. They are severely understaffed at the moment due to the floods and I have to give them props for staying open and being so accommodating. Not only was the food delightful, the service was fast and the staff even friendlier. I’m not sure if she was the manager, but the lovely lady at the register was amazing and offered us a free small shake for the wait. Amazing.

Never been here before.. trying to for ages... the place is clean, the music is popping but that's when the good stops.. the guy serving didn't seem to want my money at all I inconvenience him by ordering and paying for food. I noticed some dr pepper in the fridge and he didn't even say anything.. and I said... ooo you have dr pepper... I'll grab one of those too he ignored me and continued to just put my order through... Wait... he got better as he brought all the other drinks and food I ordered... but dude seriously... if people want more let us get more. On the fence if I want to come back. Succulent, juicy burger and good combo of fillings. Bit on the smaller side for the price you pay for a burger but it's a good burger. May not be enough for a guy, but with extra beef, the scrumptious sides like the onion rings and the potato gems aka tots - it's a winner. Which can add up if you just want a burger. Nonetheless, Excellent front house guy last night, ginger hair, friendly and welcoming, and happy to help. I notice him greeting an elderly customer who looked lost and offered him a glass of cold water too, despite the water tap is actually just right there and it's free. This picks up great many points in my book. The waitress girl was great in keeping up with the maintaining the place clean. She picked up our empty plates efficiently and with smiles. We had the Smoke House, and the 66 with extra beef. Keep up the good service! 🌟

Park your guilty diet at the door and enjoy some American style diner food. The day we showed up, it was $10 for 1kg wings Wednesday, which was an added bonus. Food was so good from beginning to end and all was made to order. Not your everyday food but it's expected for this style. But I'm not complaining. It's exactly what I wanted to indulge in. Definitely be back again soon.

Dined in last night, taking advantage of a 40% off voucher on eat club. Service from Riley (unsure of spelling) was lovely, she was kind, had a caring nature and very tentative. The manager however seemed like she had an issue and kept interrupting throughout my entire order. She seemed rather short and a tad rude. The food wasn’t too bad, thanks to the recommendation of the pickle chips and blue sauce, saved the entire meal.

This place offers freshly made gourmet burgers. Staff are friendly. The restaurant is clean and offers a relaxing place to have a casual lunch or dinner. From time to time, there special promotions on Eat Club which makes this place good value for money. Normal price of a burger averages around $14 per burger, which is reasonable but not filling enough unless you buy sides and/or drinks.

Not very often am I impressed at a lot of food joints but I have to say that this was just delicious. I ordered the chilli cheese fries and a banana shake, what can I say but fresh and dam tasty. The shake super thick with chunky banana through it. It was a little weird at first have a texture like chunks to begin with however after a few mouthfuls through a really fat straw I was in heaven. The fries were so filling and I thought a little over priced until I received them. So many. You guys lost one star for the fact that you would not accept cash and I had to use eftpos. I guess that’s how the world is going however some of us still use it. Keep up the good work guys.

Milkshake lovers? Definitely stop in and try one of the delicious milkshakes on offer. Oreo, Peanut Butter, Hershey's chocolate are some of the great selections. There is one for everyones taste. I am a bit of a milkshake connoisseur and this is one of the best I've had here in QLD.

Charged extra for a very small serving of sauce - we got 1kg of Buffalo chicken, but were given the same amount of sauce as what would come with a 500g serving. Was disappointing and could see right through the capitalist scheme to force customers to buy more expensive sauce instead of giving them proper portions from the get go. Thick shakes are amazing here, all the food is yummy.

For veggie options the Las Vegan burger is just okay, but the halloumi burger is nice. My only real complaint with this place is that it's quite greasy and heavy and you feel a bit ill afterwards, but I guess that's to be expected. Onion rings are good! But heavy. Chips are great!

Was hoping it would be just like the ones in the US, a family favorite and I was amazed that the food was so good, it might even be better! The chicken burger was yummy, but I personally prefer Betty’s (juicy and I prefer the Betty sauce) the onions rings were very yummy, and the chili dog exceeded the expectations for sure! best hot dog in the country I’m sure of it. The shake was amazing too. Downsides? the ranch dressing is horrible, would not call it ranch at all. The portions were very generous for AU. overall we were very happy and will make this a regular favorite place to eat!!! Oh and the service was great too!! ❤️

I really don’t understand why this place has so many bad reviews. Went here last night and I loved the burgers. They were juicy, flavoursome and had plenty of sauce. Also had the onion rings and fried pickles as sides. The milkshakes are probably the best I’ve had, so creamy and delicious. The service was great and the meals took less than 10 minutes. Prices were what you would expect to pay at most burger places.

Can't agree that the service was great here. The girl that served me was impatient, rude and condescending. She couldn't help me with my questions and was patronizing when I asked them. Then I asked are there any menus I can look at because I felt under pressure to order. Her response " they are on every single table hun! " I felt like I was a bother to her for asking. She then gave me the wrong burger, not what I ordered. Not that impressed. Maybe some friendlier and helpful staff would help.

It would have been nice to be greeted as we walked in and informed it was not table service to be honest. We sat at the table for quite some time before approaching the counter to ask. Also note that the website has a $19.95 deal which I was told when I asked for it was no longer that price and had increased by $2 extra for the burger and $2 extra for the side. And the menu isn’t clear about the kids meals coming with a drink and asked what drink (water, soft drink or a shake) then charged extra for the shake - but not advised. So a meal that was advertised at $20 and $10 ended up costing $36. Good food and shakes, just quite expensive for what you get and seemed to be lots of hidden catches with pricing.

My partner and I had just moved to Brisbane, and we stopped by for a quick meal. The young lady at the counter with dark hair was so absolutely kind to us, and went above and beyond in her service. We then went again at a later time because of how pleasant our prior experience was, and she was there again. We have been having such a stressful time with the move, and having her recognise us immediately, saying a compliment to me, and then treating us so warmly, we felt like it was such a breath of fresh air. I really hope she hears this feedback, and she gets at the very least some commendation for all the hard work she must do and feel that she is an important part of the success of this establishment.

Let me be clear, this review only really speaks to the shakes, which are glorious. As a US expat, I felt obligated to give this location a try. It has been years since I last had Johnny Rockets in the states, so I’m not really sure how it is over there, but I might just become a regular here! We stopped in specifically for a thick shake, and just happened to be there during their $5 shake special (3-5pm I think). I had the Oreo shake, and omg so good. It’s dangerous to have such cheap yummy shakes so close to home...also, the staff was high energy and lovely. I can’t speak the the rest of the menu, but we had a great experience here!

Before i came here I had a look at some reviews so that I had an idea of what to expect. Either way i was still going to go. The place looks great and is clean. They operate a cash-free system so you'll have to pay by card which is interesting. When the food came out it looked good but just small - you definetly need a side unless you want tk walk out hungry. The burger was OK. One review that I read prior to going summed it up perfectly...EXPENSIVE HUNGRY JACKS (even the wife agreed). Try somewhere else if you can.

First time here for lunch today. We had the 1kg serve of buffalo wings ( large portion !) And the original beef burger with cheese. My partner said the wings were good, spicy and yummy with the blue cheese sauce. My burger was tasty and a decent size. Not the most amazing burger, but better than average. We tried the crispy fried pickles because we had never seen them before and onion rings. Both a bit oily and not super crisp, but OK. Service was friendly, generally fast except my daughters soda float didn't arrive until after the food (waitress apologised for the delay.) Kitchy American diner vibe. Would say its fine for a casual meal but not the best burger joint in Brissy.

Despite previous reviews, I went into JR's with an open mind. While it doesn't compare to the one in San Francisco, the one here provides superb fries and even better burgers. Due to the hype this store created and the out the door queues that would have been present, food quality and staff presentation would have been negatively affected however now with everything settling in, all aspects of the store appear to be recovering admirably.

Johnny Rockets 2.0 - Gone is the days of 50s dinner with dancing, for many a staple of the Johnny Rocket experience. Instead you have just another burger place. Unfortunately one without any reason to pick it over the many other options available in the area. The staff are friendly and the food is ok. Had a burger, wings and thick shake. The Burger was smaller than expected having previously had a 1/3rd pound patty the last time I was at a Johnny Rockets, the sauce was nice and nothing was overcooked/undercooked. The shake was very nice although there wasn't much difference between my regular and one of my fellow diners kids shake. The wings however were poor. They seemed to put on copious amounts of hotsauce in an attempt to hide their lack of quality in the actual wing itself.

Johnny Rockets was amazing!! I had the cheddar bacon, peanut butter shake and shared some home fries with my family it was the perfect amount of food! (Im pretty full!) I especially liked the deep fried pickles! 👍🏽👍🏽There was a wee wait, but I was having lunch with my fam so we were able to chat and catch up. There was a line and the eftpos machine had a fit but the staff were amazing at handling the situation. So it didn't dampen the afternoon. I think they have ironed out their kinks mentioned in the other comments. I would recommend to anyone who likes a good burger and tastey shakes and look forward to returning! Thanks Johnny Rockets!

I know I shouldn't compare this Johnny Rockets to the Johnny Rockets in the US. But i did, and it doesn't live up to the one in the US. It doesn't have the same feel. It essentially just has the name. But in saying that I did enjoy my burger. The staff were friendly.
