Wow! We're here from Melbourne and loving Port Douglas. N17 is the Duck's guts of eating in PD. We have eaten here twice and I'm sitting here waiting for the N17 house special burger 🍔 again. These people know what they're doing, the burgers are fresh, delicious, generous and cooked to order. The place is friendly and casual, as are the staff. It has a distinctive sports decor and has a fully stocked bar, catering to all tastes. Seriously, this place ticks all the boxes. Day 3... We came back 2 days ago and I couldn't help myself, I had the N17 again - delicious!! However, tonight I've tried the Chicken & Brie burger and it's magnificent! I thought I would be smaller, but no, just as filling as the N17. Honestly, the staff are super friendly and the guys in the kitchen are very skilled. If you are in Port Douglas you must try N17!

Went in for lunch but had to get takeaway as the idiotic covid rules are in effect. Ordered a BBQ Bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Came out to like $27 somehow. The BBQ Bacon cheeseburger is only $14.60 and I'm having a hard time seeing onion rings being that much more (with holiday surcharge, I'm sure). Just finished my food and it was wonderful! Wasn't what I ordered, but it was great! I received some spicy mustard burger that was absolutely fire. I'll wait until after the holidays are over to go in for a sit down, then I'll adjust my rating accordingly. Edit: I have since went back in to N17. I ordered the same burger again with an Oreo shake. Both items were absolutely phenomenal. Everything on the burger was perfection and I haven't had a shake that good in a very long time. I've adjusted my rating from 4 up to 5 stars. Highly recommend

Really tasty burger and sweet potato fries. The venue is more like a sports bar so it didn't have a very good vibe in my personal opinion, but the food was really nice. Also, if you like creaming soda you MUST try the HairyMan Pop Ale. Damn, it's so delicious!

Good burgers. Good price. Chips okay. Wings could be better. Staff Good friendly and service was good too. Would go back again for sure. We asked for half and half on the wings as my partner doesn't do spice and they straight away organised that. Lovely bloke even offered to make the wings extra hot but I deined. When I say wings could be better it was like they were deep friend and a tad dry. The fake footy was on TV so it was crowded and loud so yeah sports bar vices but that's alright.

Amazing sports bar - Televisions in every corner for you to keep an eye on all sporting events which are taking place at the time. The food is great! I had the N17 Burger (pretty much a burger with the lot) with a side of chips. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Port Douglas for a few days and looking for a sure thing when it comes to great sports entertainment and food!

Absolutely first rate and delicious burger. Massive as well so we didn’t need the 1/2 chips 1/2 onion rings which we shared between us and still didn’t get through. These were not to the same standard in any case. Nice friendly staff and with indoor (sports bar) seating and outside (watch the world go by) seating. Top rated for good reason. Yum!

Amazing burgers. Very organised for gluten free options, with a dedicated gluten free menu. Some of the staff are a little cranky but then one of them was really nice. It is a bit pricey also but if you like a good burger, give it a go!

We were turned away last night because they were too busy to meet demand so we tried again today for lunch and it did not disappoint. The burgers are fresh, loaded with plenty of fillings and tasty. Are they messy, well yes but what’s a burger meant to be?! The highlight was actually their curry sauce that we ate with the chips. SO GOOD! If this was the last burger place on Earth, I'd be happy. Both my wife and I absolutely loved our burgers, especially the wife who had the Hawaiian pulled pork, she loves pineapple on burgers. The burgers were fresh and full of flavour. I 10000% recommend eating here. I had the N17 burger, fantastic. My wife wished she had an extra stomach so she could order another burger. Chips and gravy quite nice too. We didn't wait very long for the food to come out either and lovely customer service. Best burgers of our life so far. Great sportsbar, we also loved the memorabilia. Up in port Douglas on holiday and was looking for a lunch option. So glad the other take away places were closed as this is hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The burgers and chips were delicious here, we tried a number of burgers and two different styles of chips. The bar service was great, the bar tender made us a custom mock tail and was very friendly. The food ordering station felt rushed although we were the only customers there, then they forgot a part of our order. Otherwise, I'd happily recommend eating here 👍

Great little place we found on our PD holiday. Greeted by a friendly waiter who helped us to our window seat. My boyfriend ordered Bacon bbq cheeseburger and choc shake and I had chips with gravy. Burger was delish, no faults and the shake was thick and chocolatey. Chips were great and the gravy tasty! Very moorish! 😋 Quick service and reasonably priced. Recommended ☺️

Ordered the Chicken & Brie burger with a side of sweet potato fries and it was magnificent! A very large portion, much too large for me to finish, and really tasty. The Brie was really large and almost the size of the burger! The sweet potato fries were battered, crispy and delicious. Sometimes sweet potato can be soggy but these were amazing. Heaps of indoor and outdoor seating. Lived up to its reputation of being rated the best burger restaurant in far North Queensland.

As someone who eats here often, I just want to say what an awesome, hard working bunch they are! Every single time I am there, the staff are fantastic, friendly and welcoming. Service is quick, even during the crazy busy times recently, and the food is always scrumptious. Ate here last night after my 13yr old picked a burger for his birthday dinner (typical teenage boy!) and we were not disappointed. Ordered the N17 burger, fries and a chocolate thickshake. Thickshake was really flavourful and properly thick. Very much enjoyed. Burger and fries were well below par though. Fries weren't particularly crispy nor did they have a fluffy interior. Tasted as though they were a lower quality frozen fry though of course that is speculation. The burger had very little flavour overall. Specifically, what was quite a thick patty was overcooked to the point that I couldn't really enjoy the beef flavour. Neither the sauce nor the onion marmalade were particularly flavourful either. Salad on the burger was fine. Overall, it was under seasoned and overcooked. Service was very friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was nice in a neon Sports Bar kind of way. Overall, my experience was ok but there are plenty of places that do better burgers than this place.

Tasty, very much, halloumi burger with pineapple is a very nice combo but drenched in sweet chili sauce which overpowered and was waay to sweet for a dinner/burger and much smaller than the pictures made us believe. On the fence if I would come again. I would definitely ask for the chilli sauce to be put on the side next time.

A great cheap eat alternative in PD. We had the N17 and the Pattie was juicy and served with egg and greens for $14.50. It is much better value that the chilli chicken burger which had chicken but not much else - beware that it is hot though! Wasn't a personal fan of the onion rings either.

First time here and it was lovely. Truck Stop Deluxe in Werribee, VIC has me spoilt in regards to burgers and N17 came VERY close! Which is a massive complement! I got the N17 (House special), partner got the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger & caramel thickshake, and onions rings (with aoili and blue cheese sauces) to share. Burgers: On point. Everything tasted fresh, meat was juicy, bacon crispy on the edges but still juicy. Buns were nice and soft. Thickshake: Not overly sweet. Nice and thick. Onion Rings: Real onions rings. Crispy on the outside, slices of onion on the inside. Sauces: Aoili tasted like real proper aoili with whole egg mayo, not the fake stuff. The blue cheese sauce could have been a bit more blue cheesey, but the flavour was there and not going to fault it as I eat blue cheese straight on toast and understand it’s an acquired taste. Will definitely be visiting again next time I’m in Port Douglas
