The quality and consistency of the burgers and chips cooked by the short order cooks at Burger Got Soul in Sandy Bay is phenomenal, and when you come outside the typical lunch and dinner service hours, these same people are handling front of house with superb customer service to boot. Add the fact that they stock Asahi Dry and it’s a match made in heaven.

Amazing burgers. They are big so have an appetite. Milkshakes look impressive but the cream and decorations on top take up lots of room. The chicken with peanut butter was a huge winner.

Have been a regular customer for years, don't mind that out of the countless times I have been there I have been charged a different amount for the same thing, varies upto $8. When they try to charge me $1.50 in the middle of my meal for tomato that I originally asked for AND IT WAS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A 20C COIN. Good way to loose repeat customers. Hope the $1.50 was worth it.

I initially thought my burger was a little well-done for my liking but it was still incredibly juicy and tasty. The burger itself was generous with the pickles (which is a huge plus in my book). I'm not sure how the pricing compares with other burger joints in Hobart, but it's definitely on par with burgers of this quality in Melbourne.

Burger got Soul used to be the literal best burger place in Hobart when it served the Mustard and Pickle Burger. This particular burger was made to perfection and had absolutely no flaws. Tonight I came in to find out that the whole menu was changed and my favourite burger is replaced with a deluxe cheeseburger and was advertised as the "new and improved mustard and pickle burger." When I received it, it was way too salty due to the overcompensation of diced onion, pickles and the dry meat patty , that I couldn't even finish it. Unless they bring back the old mustard and pickle burger that has lettuce and tomato to balance the salty taste of the pickles and mustard, I sadly will be on the hunt for a new burger place.

The burgers here are served fresh, hot and big. However, I've always found the onion rings and chicken tenders too oily. Disappointed that the wallaby burger got removed with the menu's revision. Choices are flexible with regards to the burgers: lettuce wrap, wholemeal, plain white, etc. Overall a recommended burger joint.

Burgers are delicious - I went on a few separate days and had the Original Sin, the Shepherd's delight and the Sweet Chilli Chicken, all of which were distinct and tasty. Chips are also really good! Service is a little slow and sometimes not as friendly as it could be, but otherwise a great place for lunch!

A couple of very good vegetarian burger options; they arent fake meat, rather tofu or vege patties. The burger composition and sauces are great, the bread and cheese could be slightly improved, as could the onion rings. The chips are also great. Staff are friendly and helpful and the place has a nice simple energy which is great for eatin.

Absolutely the best. One steak wasn't cooked quite as much as wanted but was staff was very friendly and apologising and made a full new steak burger and gave a bowl of chips for the inconvenience. If you want some good food that is worth every cent go here.

Phenominal burgers at Burgers got soul. All the freshness and attention to detail of a home style burger with the taste of something more greasy. These are fantastic burgers, great chips, and a great price. This is my favourite burger in Hobart at the moment.

You won't find a better burger. My daughter is gluten and dairy intolerant and every time she returns to Tasmania from Melbourne, she insists on having a burger and says they are just the best. I had the vege burger which was just wonderful. The chips are also superb.

Went in for a burger on Thursday. We chilled and had some chips then burgers. The ambiance was okay but the music they were playing was terrible. Our burgers took over 20min after ordering. Kind of weird because the place was so quiet. Tasty meal overall.

The franchise has a wide range of tastily sounding hamburgers of which we fulsomely recommend the Summer Sun, and mustard and pickle hamburger, at $15.00, each is a whole meal. Order and pay at the counter, the service was a bit slow but the meal very well worth it. Table service was very slow but it was not irritating as the muzak was good, the toilets were clean, We’ll return.

The food was great and service ok. There are no serviettes on the table and no water brought out. We arrived at 6.30pm and the sun was coming down. We were sitted inside and unfortunately there is no blind or facade that blocks the sunshine from brightly shining into our face. It’s almost unbearable and if it wasn’t for the great food reviews (we checked before we came) we would have left. I understand Hobart isn’t known for its sunshine but it was disappointing we had to put with a sun in our face for the entire meal. I would recommend this place but not between 6pm - 7.30pm during summer

Okey burger, but not fantastic. I would've wished for more seasoning in the meat and less bread. The topping was not very generous, there were only two thin slices of avocado on the whole burger. Very friendly staff though, good service!

This place has amazing burgers. I'm a really picky eater and I can still find burgers I like here. I always get the small order and they never get it wrong. Really friendly staff too.

When I walked into Burger Got Soul, I expected to see Aretha Franklin and Marvin Gaye dressed up as hamburgers crooning over some sweet jazzy beats. Instead I received a deliciously beefy burger and the best sweet-potato fries I have ever tasted. Thoroughly satisfied.

I had an amazing burger stacked with perfectly juicy patties and very salubrious cheese melting through each fantastic mouthful. With each bite I lifted into a slightly higher plane of existence until I sprouted ethereal wings. I managed a quick tour of Saturn's rings before walking down a heavenly stairway made of hot chips featuring a nicely salted handrail. The staff being both beautiful and witty waved to me as I left the earth and welcomed me back with a smile and a cookie. Five stars, prices are good, staff are great, the food was amazeballs.

I was warned when I ordered it would be 25 mins wait but had to wait 50 mins for 2 burgers. Excuse was the grill wasn't big enough for the orders they had. Perhaps you should add another grill?? Burger was above average and fresh but wait was unacceptable so average overall.

The burgers are good but expensive, the real problem I have is with opening hours, or rather how late they'll accept an order, no point advertising being open 9 if when I knock off at 8 and think I'll call in on the way home only to find the front door locked at 8.30 (this happened a few months ago) and then recently having learnt lesson and ringing before leaving work to only be told rather abruptly "it's too late to order we're closing soon" at 8.15 (I've previously ordered later) it seem very hot and miss and must depend on which staff are there that night.
