Wedged between the new-gen burger chains, this hold its own by a country mile. Spacious and cool restaurant, genuinely friendly service (as opposed to the Gen Z attitude you get at the chains!) and most importantly, the food was indeed heavenly. So glad I strayed off the beaten path and went to a genuine burger bar! Will be back! Thanks for the excellent burgers and service!

Opening just in March on main street in Elsternwick, @burgerheavenau is the 'Home of Smashed Burgers'. A grilling method that uses a special tool to smush the 120g patty onto the grill to maximize that caramelization using the maillard reaction to crispy up the outside while keeping the inside juicy. . 🍔The Hangover Smash - Single grilled prime beef patty with onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, egg, crispy bacon, avocado, melted American cheese and topped in our special house sauce. . He had the recommended beef burger with a soft brioche bun with 'the lot' all the things you love, with a juicy patty and everything in the right proportions made it easy to handle. . 🍗JJ Fried Chicken Burger - Buttermilk fried chicken with American cheese, red cabbage, aioli mayo, lettuce and tomato. . This burger was huge and quite popular, we were lucky to get the last one during lunch. That fried chicken was so crispy but still juicy inside, so good and having all those fresh ingredients it was also a salad too. A great balance of textures and flavours, I love it and would get this one again. . 🍟On the side we shared some fascinating curvy 'Sidewinder' fries and sweet potato, my favourite dipped in tomato, chipotle mayo and the house sauce, a burger sauce. . There's lots of booth seating and service is very friendly. On Tuesday seven new burgers will be added to the menu and in celebration Burger Heaven is offering bogof on Tuesday (dine in only). Went shopping and saw deal for Tuesday at Burger Heaven. Two burgers only pay for one. The Best burgers we have had. So big and tasty. Smashed burger is a must. Chips are delicious. Highly recommend.

Think it sounds like heaven, you’d be so right! Hardest decision curly fries OR sweet potato fries, better get them both. Best part you can order and pay online, pick up in a flash, no extra delivery, service fees or waiting in a queue, grab and go!

Burger Heaven indeed! 😇 @burgerheavenau - Home of the Smashed Burger where each yummy Burger is made by pressing onto the griddle, giving it the yummy caramelised, flavoured crust! 🤤😋 We got the 🍔 Double Cheesy Smash & the JJ Fried Chicken Burger 🍔 ... Both Burgers were equally flavoursome & delicious... If I had to pick a favourite, it would be the Double Cheesy Smash - it was simple mouthwateringly good! For sides, we got the Cripsy Potato Fries & the Sweet Potato Fries! 🍟 Thank you @burgerheavenau for having us... We absolutely loved it!

Loved the burgers here, their smashed patty really does work in keeping them tasty, crunchy and not too oily. We ordered takeaway so didn't get to eat the burger for ~ 20mins. Even with the time to eat, the bun/burger wasn't soggy nor stodgy feeling after eating. Definitely coming back again for when I crave a burger. Loved the curly fries too- enjoyed them on the drive home. They have cute dine-in booths too.

This is easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Smashed burgers are a little bit different from your usual burgers, the patty is squished down so it’s more crispy on the edges & softer in the centre. I really enjoyed watching them make it🤩. This lunch feed was so delicious and I was definitely feeling heavier after this meal but it was soooo worth it 😆💕. Had an awesome burger tonight. My wife had the Impossible Burger which was vegan on a salad with Vegan Cheese. I had the Veggie burger and was absolutely delicious. It was really a 10/10 and will come again. The service was sensational and clean tables and really nice environment. 100% recommend.

Cool classy venue with some big beautiful burgers on offer. Portion sizes are great on their big beautufil buns and the twirly fries are an absolute winner too. These guys will cater to all styles as they serve all your standard burger vatieties, but theres also some xtreame options poppping up that you'll definetly wanna come try for yourself as well.

I ordered Kingdom Come burger with some sweet potato fries and a bottle of water. After ordering was offered a free beer on the house by the owner, a very nice and endearing man. The meal was quite tasty though it wasn't hot enough for me personally despite being marked as "spicy". The sweet potato fries were above average, better than that of schnitz or roll'd. Despite the excellent service, I never received my bottle of water

Seeing the great rating this place has and being local, we thought we would give it a try Ordered a Cheesy Smash and Whiskey Jack Smash with a large fries with the two for one burger deal on Tuesday nights The chips were really nice, Hot and crispy Waitress was prompt and friendly We were told a 10 min wait and our order took less than 10 mins which was great Unfortunately the burgers were very mediocre. Both patties lacked flavour, buns were dry and both had hardly any sauce and were lukewarm Would possibly give this place another go as it could have just been a one off

As a vegan I find burger places hit and miss, I saw the Introducing Beyond Meat sign in the window and had to give Burger Heaven a go! I tried the “Beyond Hot Chilli” and it was a amazing. There a plenty of other vegan options which I am sure will be just as good. I will be coming back for sure…

Great burgers, great service, and great vibe! I went to Burger Heaven to try out a new place, and I loved it. My meal came quickly, but importantly didn't feel, taste or look rushed. Even better was how the burger and chips were incredible in taste and appearance!! An added bonus was how beautiful the restaurant is, it really was the icing on the cake for a wonderful meal! Will definitely be going back.

I tried the OG Smash the first time and I tried the Double Cheesy Smash last night and really enjoyed both burgers. I found that the burgers are: - Meat is juicy and tasty. - Bun is nice and soft. - A good combination of flavours from the sauces/cheese/salads. - Retains its burger structure quite well (doesn't fall apart!). - Actually looks like a perfect burger aesthetically. - Overall quite a reasonably large size (bigger than Grill'd). This is more a 3.5 for me. The burgers were good but not blow your mind. Also the wedge chips were nice but because they are more wedges you don't really end up getting much. Went the cheesy smash and it was a pretty standard burger but I felt like the bun was so big it kind of took over so it felt more like bun than filling.

The best hamburger ever! Had the OG with crispy bacon. Perfect size, food quality, combination and flavors. Also recommend the chips - sweet potato and regular chips both excellent. So delicious! Friendly staff, lovely surrounds. Think this will be the new go to place for hamburgers in the area!

Such a new great spot - fab fit out, really trendy decor. More importantly the most delicious burger and the BEST chips I have ever had. The staff were so friendly and patient while we decided on which burger to order. Food came promptly and presented very well. The owner came round to make sure everything was ok and gave us some background info, so nice. Highly recommend : )

I had my second burger at this super-stylish hamburger restaurant tonight - if possible, it was even better than the first (which takes some doing). The ingredients (even down to the lettuce in the bun) were so fresh and perfect, and the meat in the burger was great quality. I had the Hot Chilli Smash, it was YUM! Also, the decor is wonderful, really high end. A great find.

Best Fries I’ve ever had!! The smashed burgers are really tasty with lots of options. The fries are thick, twisted, salted and cooked to perfection. Just terrific. I thought Andrews was Melbourne’s best. Move over. And then the crazy fries. Twisty and so crunchy. Not for vegans though they do have an interesting range of non meat burger inc lamb burgers ( refer to My Big Fat Greek Wedding). Extra good service. Do try their bottled fruit juices. Extra good

Absolutely delicious!!! I had the Chook Smash in the Heavenly Combo. Would definitely recommend it. Super fresh ingredients and I LOVE the chips. They were perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My only regret is not getting a larger portion! Service was friendly and quick too.

We were passing by to have a little afternoon snack for my birthday. We only got some sweet potato fries and when the manager noticed (I’m assuming he was the manager) he offered us to try a burger on the house as we can’t leave his shop without trying one. We walked in to Burger Heaven on a whim this afternoon (our noses led us to the store as we were leaving the chemist two doors up). The staff were supremely friendly and ultra patient as we went through the menu and decided on what to order -- it can be hard with a 5-year-old. We got the Hot Chilli burger for one adult and the Meatless Burger to share between an adult and a child (we ordered the one with the scrumptious shiitake, seaweed and edamame pattie - YUMMMM!). We also got an upgrade for one of the burger and got a juice and crispy fries that were quirky and delicious. It was all so wonderful! Service was faultless, even though we were only there to take away the food. The owners of the store introduced themselves and we felt really well taken care of. You know the place rocks when a five-year-old child walks out of there saying, "they were really polite and kind, weren't they mum?" We don't usually order burgers, so it was a bit of a weak moment for me after a very difficult day, but I *actually* felt like the Meatless Burger hit the spot for me in terms of a balanced meal without the guilt, while still being hearty and "burger-y". :D If the owners see this review -- THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND GOOD FOOD. These are the experiences that make life good and teach my son what interacting with good humans feels like.
