Just visited the new Southbank Burgertory store and was so happy with the outstanding customer service from a friendly blonde female team member on the front counter. She was very helpful and gave me a awesome recommendation of the Sloth burger. The food was ready really quickly and as promised was amazing 🍔🍟 Looks like I have found my new local Burger joint.

I walked up and picked up a take-away order. Amazing. Service, speed, friendliness and most importantly... taste! Really enjoyed the Abraham which was both aesthetically awesome and delicious. Its difficult to get a fried chicken burger right so that it stays crispy even for take-away. They succeeded. I also tried the OG mac which was good. I'll definitely be back.

Updated review: Originally had a “lust” with regular onion rings. The burger in my opinion was poor mainly because the bun I had that night was not toasted, the fried chicken was dry and the slaw, with no other ingredients, lacked flavour. Needs cheese at a minimum and the chicken needs to be much thicker (cooked fresh) and with less batter for $16. The onion rings were ok but would liked to see more onion and not just batter. The ‘Sloth’ at $17 was a improvement on the first one I had ! Flavour was there but still average at best. Both smashed patty’s were quite overcooked on top and I found them to be a little too thin and chewy in all honesty. There’s a fine art to a good burger. Had the meat had been cooked better both times would probably be worthy of 4 stars.

Edit: Someone has reached out to me to rectify the situation. Thank you. I have gone back and the burger was good and no longer burnt. The sauce was really good but prices are a bit high for what it is. Original review: I tried Burgertory because I heard good reviews. Sadly, it was a huge disappointment. The burger patty was burnt and inedible. The sides were black and crispy. I tried contacting them to give them a chance to rectify the situation but they never bothered to reply. The wings also had a weird texture to it...tasted like breading and not actual chicken skin. The sauce of the burger and the wings were good though. Hope I just had a bad batch but not hearing back from them after complaining is a red flag for me.

Wow, what a burger joint. Stopped by while I was in the area and if your in need of a burger after a long drive this is the place to be, helpful and friendly staff treated me like a friend which I loved. I think his name was Tim? They were very accommodating with my order and allergy specifications. Overall very enjoyable experience and I’ll make sure to stop by next time I pass though!

Incredible Burgers! I have been a resident of Southbank for many years now and am so impressed with this new burger joint. We buy our weekly "cheat meal" from here and are always satisfied with the quality of the food! Best burgers in Melbourne :)

I’ve never had burgers as amazing as BurgerTory before. You have to try their Abraham burger. It’s incredibly delicious and filling. Tastes amazing with the added sauces with the right amount of spice. Their fries are quite unique as well. The only pain point is that the fries and drink combo is quite expensive for one person. Overall, a good place to visit with friends once or twice.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE RECIEVED IN YEARS!!! The staff member Tim went absolutely above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. He was extremely friendly and accomodating, I have never in my life recieved such wonderful and warmful service. I don't usually post reviews but Tim was an absolute gentlman and his service cannot not go unnoticed, he is an invaluable member of the team and he put a smile on all of our faces.
