Good burgers. Dark, American road house vibe inside with a heap of cool old neon signs. Industrial alleyway under cover if you prefer outdoor seating.

Good burger, good fries, and buffalo wings. But the highlight for me is the lemon lime bitter! I love it! One of the best I had so far! And the pale ale is good as well! At least it's good for my standard. The vibe in the bar is nice with big American influence in it. Nice service and love the puns they put in the bar! They offer variety of dishes so definitely worth to try and hang out with friends.

First time i went there. Onion rings are the best i have ever had. The crumb did it. Too much salt though. I ordered one of their signature burgers (with pineapple, beetroot, bacon, egg), It was just good. That was my mistake though, packed burgers like the lot burger never get a great scoring from me. Their patty had a level of browning I have never experienced before. The decor of the place is top notch. Lots of vintage stuff to look at.

Such a quirky place, the decor is amazing some of the old and signs you remember seeing when your a child, it's a basic menu of burgers chicken and chips, but they do it magnificently. The food is amazing and the service is wonderful , it's a tad on the pricey side and parking is terrible. Overall it's great place to have lunch or dinner and they have a proper kids menu with proper kids prices which matters to a parent.

Very good Burgers. I remember visiting this place in 2014 after seeing a news paper article about them. It was a really good burger. I've been back once since then but not very recently. Very nice interior with lots of neon lights. Hope they keeping up the same quality.

This hidden gem is a place worth visiting with your mates to spend quality time. Ambiance: it’ll take you by surprise. I’ll let you experience it and not write here. Food: Mindblowing. Do try chicken wings (ask for extra buffalo sauce) and chicken popcorn. And that mustard dip that comes along with popcorn will make you say yummmm. Burgers are crazily loaded as well. They’re super heavy and worth the price. We really had a good time here. Will come back here for the wings.

In my honest opinion, this is one of the best burger/hangout/cheat meal food locations in Melbourne. The sides are phenomal and so are the burgers. I highly recommend the wings, mac n cheese bites and even the cauliflower bites. On top of that, the staff is consistently incredibly friendly and helpful.

Did a home delivery during lockdown 4.0. Prices seemed a bit high but the food did not disappoint. One the best burgers and onion rings I’ve had in a long time! Will definitely return to try more. Hopefully in person this time. One niggle of mine that is directed at all food outlets I’ve been to in Australia (not just Fat Bob’s); there’s always too much salt on everything, particularly fries. I’d rather that I get to choose how much salt goes on please :)

Really fun burger restaurant. Been here a few times. Food comes out quickly. Burger was tasty, fresh bun and crispy slaw. Chips were nicely seasoned. Also had the onion rings, which were nice and crispy but felt hey could have been seasoned more. Staff were polite and friendly. I made a reservation online through the website. Love the kitsch signage all around. I especially thought the toilet door signage was clever. Great to see all welcome.

Oh my God wow I have had burgers before been to fish n chip shops for burgers and burgers chains for burgers you probably see a theme here well I can certainly tell you that fat bobs breaks all the moulds the onion rings large and hot with a Carolina BBQ sauce woww the flavours then there is the popcorn chicken nice crust and a creole sauce mmmm and it doesn't stop there with the starters the fries gee wizz crunchy right amount of salt and all the little scrap crunchy pieces make for a really great start to a meal so now the burger had the hummer burger juicy cooked to perfection and yet still pink on the inside some tomato cucumber lovely tasty sauce absolutely beautiful meal. Washed down with a great tasting cider from a local brewer. So now the restaurant wow you walk down a narrow corridor tables to one side fake grass old signage on the wallls enter the door and you have fantastic designed area more old signage seating a plenty and the staff well what can I say lovely attentive to your needs polite and efficient I suggest you try this burger place and in my opinion you will enjoy it as much as I did great job guys Allana hope I spelled her name correctly just a wonderful personality and person to have the pleasure of being helped by. So in short you have to go to this burger place.

This joint is ultra amazing and has some of the best burgers I've eaten in a very very very long time. The ambience of Fat Bob's is amazingly cool and the staff are super friendly. The joint has an outdoor seating area and also has a canopy to assist with those extra hot days. The loaded fries and onion rings are to die for!! Dog friendly outdoors as well. A must-visit for the avid food enthusiast.

Not this one, the atmosphere is a completely different feeling, it's very comfortable and staff where very welcoming. I think most burger shops have stopped paying attention on the Interior and overall feel inside the restaurant with so many food takeaway services available, where this burger place is somewhere you want to sit in and enjoy your burger. I’ve been here twice and both times it’s been a great experience. Given it was a Saturday night the ladies on staff were able to find us a table at short notice. The restaurant itself is amazing, an eclectic collection of led signs and antiques. Truly no other place like it in Melbourne. Three vegetarian/vegan options too which is fab. Chippies are phenom too. ❤️

I love the decor. We were there early (with little kids) so was a bit quiet, but I could imagine it rocks along a bit later. Entrees good - the Mac and cheese bites a great dish - kids loved them. Good chips too. But the burgers themselves were all a bit unremarkable. Mine was under seasoned and bland. Chicken burger was dry. And both a bit overpriced for that you get. Not a $12 kids meal either when you consider you have to pay extras for a drink. Service was ok but worry what it might be like if busier. I’d go back, if only for the decor. Kids and spouse less convinced.

They are family friendly, they are in a location which has plenty of parking around it (Moorabbin Industrial) and they provide wonderful customer orientated service. Fat Bob's is absolutely one of my most favourite places in the world. If you haven't been here yet, you are seriously missing out on some amazing food. We've gone during the quieter times during the week and by quiet I mean it's still packed but not bursting at the seams. We've also gone on Friday and Saturday night's and it's even more insane. Obviously during peak times there will be a wait for your burger. The longest I've waited was about 45 minutes but in all honesty I didn't care because the music and atmosphere, beer and memorabilia pass the time. Staff have always been super friendly, helpful and always up for a chat which is great. Whatever burger you order it's going to be Heaven but I will suggest you try the chicken bites as an entree. It's popcorn chicken taken to a whole new level. I could happily sit there and eat them all day. The overall atmosphere is incredible, it's like being on a movie set and so much fun. Don't forget to go upstairs and have a look around too, there is more memorabilia upstairs to check out. Every time I've been there staff have been more than happy for me to take photos, however..be respectful and always ask first. This place is definitely a winner.

Not bad. Fairly pricey but burgers aren't dripping disgustingly in oil, which is nice. Inside is a combination of a trip down memory lane and a time monster that just vomited up all the business signage he ate over the years. No water was provided even after asking twice. Wrong information was given by staff on special promotions. That was most disappointing. Overall experience was average for food and dining experience.

There's a lot of hype about this place, saying they're one of the best burger Joints in Melbourne. After eating there, the hype is well earned. The burgers are fabulous, the drinks menu well though out and has plenty choice for everyone, and the service is flawless. You don't want to miss eating here.

The reason not for a 5 star rating is because the service change. There used to be table service, American style! Now it’s Aussie pub style, where you order at the bar and someone random delivers your drinks and food, and no one comes back to ask if your food was good, etc. Unfortunately, that form of service becomes impersonal and cold. The burgers are still very good, better than most in the area. Granted, in layering a burger, lettuce should not be on the bottom. What is on the bottom of a burger or sandwich hits the palete first. It should be burger first. But that may be my personal style. And the sides are okay but obviously bought frozen. Again, a bit of time and passion could make it better. Hopefully the next time I go I can rate it higher!

These guys have some amazing burgers, always give great service. Our staff meetings have been held here twice now and have loved it each time. Only suggestion I will make is offer a challenge burger of some sort. One of the guts got a bit excited but was happy with adding an extra patty to one of the burgers. The food was really great, and the place has a cool atmosphere. It's decorated mostly with large neon signs and the like, the burgers also take their names from many of these signs. The only issue we found with the place was that it took an extravagantly long time to be served. We came in on a Friday night, granted it's probably my the busiest night they'll see, but overall it wasn't really that busy. We walked in and were seated in a matter of minutes, but once we were seated it took 40 minutes for the service staff to take our order, even thoigh we were clearly ready to order, they walked past us multiple times without helping us at all. If were ever back, we hope our experience will be different.

My first visit here, I love the industrial feel and entrance via a 'laneway', inside and outside dining is a bonus. We came for a late Friday lunch, it wasn't to busy, we sat inside, both ordering burgers for mains and Nachos for an entree to share. Nachos were good, unfortunately my burger order wasn't taken down correctly or lost, so my husband received his but not me, the issue was soon rectified with a big apology and my burger was cooked asap with free chips. We were not charged for the 'lost' burger, which was really considerate. The menu is simple, with a yummy variety of burgers and sides, the atmosphere is cool and eclectic with collectible signs covering the walls and ceilings, a large bar you can sit at, and big tables for larger groups of people inside, outside the entrance lane is lined with tables and chairs, signs, and happy yellow features nicely against the industrial brick walls.

I came here over 4 times including a christmas party thing for my friend's workplace. My friend and I both agreed that the glutin-free burger was the most tasteless burger we had. Lovely place for a casual dinner in a retro styled setting. The neon glow from the signs really transforms you to another time and place. The Burgers are nice however the meat was not as juicy or tasty as I was expecting. They were more towards being quite bland rather than well seasoned and there was no flavour other than the small amount of tomato sauce that I added extra of. The burger choices with extra sauces and cheeses are the ones that shine here. I also tried the apple cinnamon fried dumplings with ice cream and they were delicious. Overall a charming place with a lot to offer.

Classic American style burgers in the heart of industrial Moorabbin. It's like another world when you walk in, that nice diner feel makes you feel happy! The burgers are fat, rich and full of flavour. There are a heap of different options for you too! Try the popcorn chicken and the onion rings, they were to die for! I had a cheeky Nutella milkshake, but there is lots of great beer and a few wines to enjoy too!

My wife had the Goodrich a vegetarian option with a humungous mushroom in place of a meat patty. Taste was good but again the mushroom was only luke warm. My son had a kids burger which was good value and he had no complaints. We had some sides of fries (chunky chips), sweet potato wedges and the slaw was to die for!!

Finding a table might be challenging on weekends as this place is quite popular for the reasons above. For example we managed to find a table without booking but we had to vacate before a certain hour. Giving four stars because some burgers and drinks prices are way over the market.

I had the Fat Bob. I rate that burger. On a scale of Harry Potter films, this is the Prisoner of Azkaban of burgers. So good you'll invent an unrelated ranking system to rank the burgers. The staff are lovely, so much so you want to take them home and keep them as happy little slaves, they're that nice. While there's a bit of a wait for the food, you're waiting on quality. This is no 2 minute MacDonalds BS, this is quality waiting in a nice environment. And if you're a beer fan you'll be surprised at the menu with its range of craft beers to complement your groovy burger. Order just the burger as it'll fill you the hell up. You'll be so stuffed you can't move... And any chips you've ordered will go to waste. Unless it's a fat day, then gorge away Gorge, gorge away.
