Good burgers! Though they took a while to come out, especially considering there weren't many customers when we were there. Do NOT use the toilets!

A burger place you huxta try. For under $20 you can get a burger, chips, drink and 4 pieces of fried chicken! Got the basic: lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. Meat is cooked perfectly with a bit of charring for that flavor and texture. Fresh salads that weren't too wet so it didn't dribble everywhere. On a scale of red rooster (0) nuggets to wicked wings (10), I'd give their wings a 6. Chips a little too salty for my liking. Tables also a bit sticky.

I visit Huxtaburger once or twice every week, they've got some nice juicy burgers. Chips could be a little bit better but they are still good. What's better is that they've got their own app which gives you about 15$ off on every 100$ spent there. I think that's a pretty good deal since I've had free burgers at least 5 times now.

WOW - THE NON-MEAT BURGER IS *EVEN BETTER THAN* IT'S MEAT EQUIVALENT If, like me, you worry about the impact the meat industry is having on the fragile environment but really enjoy a juicy burger, Huxtaburger has come to rescue your conscience!! We ordered the meat-free burger via Uber Eats and thought it would be "just OK" but were really surprsied at how good it tasted!! I'm now a total convert to meat-free burgers with a win-win to my health and that of the planet! Food was slightly cooler than we'd like when it was delivered (about 15 minutes between restaurant and our house) but otherwise a delicious meal.

We did a best burgers of Melbourne comp a few years back and Huxtaburger used to have arguably the best beef burgers around. Our panel of judges were split down the middle between this and the beef burger from Belle's Diner (now Belles Hot Chicken). And whilst the mighty Huxtaburger appears to have slid from the throne a bit, the chicken burger we had was seriously good. Might have just caught them on an off night with the beef one. Will have to come back to put it to the test again. If you haven't tried their burgers you need to give them a shot at least once. Their buns are on the sweeter side, which is something to be aware of if you're not a fan of that style of burger. They've got a decent beer selection as well and the little bar sort of place next door is a nice place to sit and chill.

Huxaburger is in a great and central location near alot of really great cafes and restaurants and is still manages to stand out and be a go to over alot of the other places around. I really have never had a bad item from anything on their menu and they are always so lovely and quick with their service. I can't get enough of their amazing malt thick shakes and when they offer student discounts it makes the whole thing even better, I 100% recommend to any uni students or people looking for a super satisfying burger.

Was recommended by a friend to try the burgers here, was craving a burger with fries and a milkshake, so i went for a theo burger it was very big but wow it packed a great punch of flavour it was nice and juicy, the fries were also good but wow the onion rings here are so freaking amazing it was crunchy on the outside and nice on the inside and last but not least the strawberry thick shake, this was one of the best thick shakes I've ever had and it was recommended by one of the friendly staff, definitely worth a try!

I visited this establishment expecting yet another run-off-the-mill burger joint. Boy was I wrong! The service was a bit delayed due to high volume of customers at the time, but the workers were genuinely hard-working and more than happy to accommodate my needs. Excellent music fed my ears while I took a bite of my Denise burger. I almost nutted when the the meat touched my tongue. Amazing!

One of a few good burger places in Melbourne. I remember the days when you have to queue up and wait 30 minutes for a burger. The queues are not as bad anymore, but the burgers are still good and worth one's time! I love the buns! I agree with one of the reviewers - it would be nice to have the option of having a slice or two of raw, fresh onions (just make sure they are the kind that is used for burgers and not for cooking!) Yummm, I could just imagine...

I went full veggo about a year ago. I've been saying until today, that I don't really miss meat, but I do miss burgers. My favourite burger when I was still eating meat was The Denise, a slightly spicy burger with jalapenos. I was delighted to see that they do a veggie Denise. Wow, this burger is awesome, it is as good as the normal Denise, or maybe even better. Will be back for more, heaps more!

You won't remember the hamburger for special combinations, but definitely you won't forget it. The meat is great and the bun is amazing, soft and light and you can feel the butter. Despite there is no table service, the outdoor tables some times need to be wiped.

Their burgers tasted fantastic at a beer festival earlier this year and led me to pilgrimage to their store in Smith Street to reconfirm that taste. However firstly I didn't order the standard Huxtaburger, my wife did. I got a double (Theo) and some fried chicken for the kids and some fries. Essentially the best burger is the actual Huxtaburger and the best way to enjoy it is when you're somewhat imbibed on beer etc. My burger was sloppy and hard to keep together, neither the fried chicken or the fries were exciting enough to ever come back for. Disappointing. It's also normally very busy so be prepared to wait. I liked eating in though and the atmosphere of Smith Street generally which has not much to do with this place. I still can't get over my best burger ever, a cheeseburger and glorious fries at Galley Diner in Daylesford, that's my holy mountain. Huxtaburger can't touch them honestly.

My favourite burger joint. The burgers are not too big & they are not over stuffed with too many fillings. The buns are lightly toasted & the patties are always juicey. To be honest, I have only had the Denise, but I have had it many, many times.

First time here. Expectations were neutral, but burger was fairly ordinary. I had the Claire (sp?), chicken was oily and breading was over cooked to a dark brown. Slaw was fine, but bun looked as if it had been smashed in a sandwich press. Chips were nice. Service was fine. As I said, first visit - could be a one-off. I'll revise these comments if my subsequent meals are better.

Huxtaburger in Collingwood offers great burger and chips. It's often super busy with a long line. Sometimes even without a line they are busy with making food for take aways / deliveries. However, it's definitely worth the wait. The staff are friendly. Not much sitting area. It's better as a takeaway / delivery place. However, if you are lucky enough to score a table outside the place, DO IT! You will get to experience the fantastic vibe Smith st offers while having a great burger and chips!

I have had huxtaburger before at a different location and it was so greasy and not very nice. I decided to pop in and try the collingwood huxtaburger since I was close by, it was really enjoyable. Burgers were fresh and very tasty. Bun was Crispy on the edges and soft know the middle. Meat wasn't dry at all and it had heaps of cheese and nice pickles. Not greasy at all. The cheese mayo was interesting and I was eager to try it, was amazing loved it. It had heaps of seating, unfortunately wasn't very clean. And the two shops confused me a bit (they are connected via a little hall way) . Music was so funny loved it. Since I hadn't been before I felt a bit pressured at the counter when ordering (I didn't see any menues I could take to the table) but I randomly picked a burger and drink and it turned out amazing. Shame the drinks machine was broken and not working. Onion rings on point. Recommended if in the area and in need a good burger.

The burger at Huxtaburger are delicious, and the place itself is a fantastic little spot, but fast food this is not. There's usually a little bit of a wait - more than you'd usually expect for a burger - but they are delicious. If you've ever had In'n'Out Burger in the US, this place is up there with that. We had the basic Huxtaburger and it was really, really nice. Would be the perfect hangover food. Could see this place getting really busy over the weekends. We went on a Wednesday night and it was only a 10-15 minute wait. Limited seating too so maybe plan to takeaway!

I just got one at 4pm. Two people in front of me, still took 30mins. It's not worth the wait In my opinion. Time is always more important to me than mouth orgams. If your in need of a burger, like not ever quick but if your hungry, go elsewhere. You'll be famished before you get to eat it.

Often competing with easys and 8 bit, its in a league of its own and nonpareil on countless number of fronts. The creative innovation and the technical advancements implemented, can be least regarded as incredible and astonishing. This burger place pioneered the phenomena of sweet buns and wagyu beef in the world of burger.

If you're looking for a burger with chips the food here is great. It's not going to be healthy by any means, but it is damn juicy, tasty and hits just the right spot if you're keen for a good old burger. I've come a few times and there's usually seating available inside and a minimal wait for food. Staff are all friendly and the prices are pretty reasonable. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.
