Would give 6 stars if could! So cool inside. Such a good groovy vibe. So many cool things in the restaurant to look at while waiting. Very friendly staff- good communication, happy to help and have a good chat, welcoming and comforting. Including the cooks, who gave us big smiles when giving us our food. We were talking to the male employee the whole time asking questions about all the cool things in his store and he was very kind and had amazing service! He was patient and helped with our order a lot. Food was out quick, warm, and was so tasty!! 👌🏼🍔 Seriously so impressed, 100% recommend and very happy. **Amazing atmosphere, food, wait time, staff, parking. Everything!! Good work 👍🏼**

For a small place in a small corner shopping strip, this place punches above its weight. My son and I tried a variety of items - freshly made jalapeno poppers, fried mozzarella sticks and beer-batter onion rings. All very tasty and you could tell they were home-made. If you order a burger, be prepared for a man-vs-food mountain. I tried the Brock burger piled high with a patty of sausage, patty of beef, tasty cheese, bacon, fried onion, egg, beetroot and slaw. Taste was rather average. Much better was my son's Gran Torino burger with two beef patties, bacon, American cheese and fried onion. I tried a bite and it was great! The owner was friendly and interested in his customers without being too overbearing. We'll have to come back and try some of their other specialties.

This was a great find of a place. Met the owner who truly was amazing and very caring on our satisfaction.. the place was awesome . So tasty. Had the temptation burger and it was very tasty. Didn't take photo of it sorry. Games machine toward back of store that owner allowed to play. Played good old space invaders. Good range of menu. Just popped in to get a milkshake after seeing the sign for the diner. Amazing service and this milkshake is delicious! On top of that, the 50s diner decor inside is awesome! Would highly recommend checking this place out!

It’s ok, friendly staff. There is some cool decorations but felt more of a car racing diner they did have some 50s but it wasn’t a lot. The food was average. Very small diner. The tables were basically for only one person. It was good to try it though, I would go back but not regularly. If you’re looking for a great 50s diner then try Fonzies.

This place is an absolute little gem! The burgers were the best I've had in Melbourne. The seasoning on the chicken in the deep south burger is from America! And is one of a kind. It was cooked to perfection! And so crispy and tender! We also had the charger burger and the beef patty just melts in your mouth. The owner Paul is so friendly and welcoming. He makes sure each and every burger that comes out is cooked to perfection. I also loved all the American memorabilia in the shop which makes you feel like you're in an American diner. I'll be telling all my friends to come here! Thanks Paul for such an amazing experience and we will be back soon!

I went here on Sunday night with a few mates and we ordered the Gran Torino, Deep South Deluxe and a Charger …OMG we were blown away these truly were amazing . They come with complimentary fries ( Very nice ) and we ordered our burgers and USA drinks and we were in Hamburger Heaven . The burgers are juicy , fresh and no expense spared the quality is outstanding. The hospitality was awesome and customer service and cleanliness was outstanding. I’m going to say the Best burgers in the Eastern area . Keep it up we are coming back soon with more boys.

Really enjoyed our lunch at this diner. It's one I have driven past many times, and I'm really glad I finally came in to try it! There is a wonderful atmosphere in the diner. It's full of American themed decor, with so much to look at. Each table has little games and activities too, which I thought was really fun and unique. We came in for a late lunch, and when asked if they were still serving we were told they serve lunch all day. Perfect! It was quiet when we first arrived, but soon was full of people. There is a great range across their menu too. Various burger options, as well as a 'build your own' burger. My partner and I tried various sides (onion rings, loaded cheese and bacon fries, and mac and cheese bites), as well as a loaded hot dog. We were both really pleased with the food. It was tasty and left us excited to come back and try the burgers. They also have an extensive drinks menu, including American sourced drinks, coffee and milkshakes. To top it off, staff were incredibly helpful, cheerful and inviting. They made the experience one to talk about. The owner is passionate and friendly, who genuinely just wants to make sure you're happy with your meal and experience. He made sure to have a chat to all the guests, which I found really nice. I'm so glad this diner is just around the corner, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

Friend and I went here a few weeks ago. Amazing food, super friendly staff, great setting. My friend ordered a super spicy burger (forgot the name sorry) and we both ended up sitting there and burning up into tears and laughing. The boss man was extremely nice, checking up on us and his wife gave us milk. He spoke to us and kept us company even after we've stayed longer than closing time. Definitely come by if you're in the ranges.

The burgers look great, and taste even better. The chips could have been cooked a little more, but we're well seasoned. The names given to the burgers are fun, and in keeping with the American dinner theme. The nearly one hour wait time for our order of four burgers, and four chips was a little excessive. But the very tasty, and ridiculously huge burgers were worth waiting for. My tip is phone ahead, to avoid sitting in the carpark, like and American drive in movie. Four stars over all. Worth the wait time.

I brought my kids in to get a milkshake and hotdog and the business owner and staff were so welcoming and friendly. The kids had a great a ball playing with the old retro games on the table and seeing all the old style memorabilia as they waited for their hotdogs 🌭 Will be returning for sure and would recommend to anyone who wants a great night out and step back in time to the old style diner. Got takeaway last night from this little diner and wow it may be not a very big place but there burgers are huge and absolutely delicious. They are juicy, a lot of fillings not like some other places that seem to be stingy . So if your in the area for some of the best burgers you cannot go past Just Cruize in Diner 👍

Hubby and I called last minute looking for a booking, they were a bit full up later on in the evening so invited us down straight away! We had two gorgeous burgers and the 50s fries, with 2 drinks. Really great value, burgers would fill you up perfectly. Cool atmosphere with plenty to look at while you wait for your food. Fair dues to the team, flat out every second we were there never skipped a beat. Our server was lovely and kept everyone happy. Recommend booking in/calling ahead so you can give the team notice during the covid measures, not easy running a restaurant at the moment! Will for sure be back again.

Recently my girlfriend challenged me to their spicy "Twice Burn" burger. There's a few things that need to be noted; 1. The burger was absolutely delicious. Very well crafted and had tasted as if it were made with love, not speed. 2. I finished my burger, and suffered the consequences. Unfortunately my partner came off second best a new burger and milkshake due to the unforseen heat the sauce packs. 3. The highlight of the experience was chatting with (who I suspect is the owner or manager), as he is an absolute legend. Walking into this place I, i didn't expect spend the majority of my time in conversation with an employee which you dont expect from 99% of other places. The gentleman who knew all about the spices and where they came from is an absolute bloke, and I would be damned if I didn't mention it. Thanks everyone for your part in making a great little burger restaurant! I'll definitely be back.

I love the look, I love the feel, and I love the food. This is a brilliant place that I hope thrives in the future. It has a stunning atmosphere and awesome food options and a large variety of burgers (including some massive and truly beautiful ones). The only negatives that I could see was that it's a little cramped inside and some of the prices would prevent me from eating there on a regular basis. Regardless of that though, I do plan on going back when I can to enjoy everything this this place has to offer.

My brother told me about this burger place and how good it was so I thought I had to try it out. I looked the menu up online and unfortunately stumbled upon the Uncle Mungo's burn twice burger. In my arrogance I decided it would be a good idea to challenge my boyfriend to a spicy duel. First of all, I like spicy food, but I am pretty new to the game and only got into it because of my boyfriend (who I mistakenly tried to get the upper hand on). Secondly, I have tried spicy burgers before, on the menu they always talk big game but usually don't live up to the scary names given to them. When I saw 'Carolina reaper' as an ingredient I simply thought that every place claims to have super spicy chillies but don't deliver. A FOOL I TELL YOU. I should have chickened out as soon as I heard the lady laugh and double check I wanted the burger when I ordered it on the phone. Unfortunately I could only manage two, maybe three bites of the burger. This was devastating because the burger itself was so delicious. Next came tears, nose running like a tap, a lot of colourful words and one of my personal favourite developments was me rubbing my eye with the hand that got chilli sauce on it :) so a lot more tears and momentary fear of blindness In my boyfriend's victory, he ate his whole burger and even finished mine off to rub salt in the very spicy wound. Out of pity he ordered me another burger (James Brown burger) was absolutely amazing, 10/10 best burger and what I should have originally ordered to begin with. I feel like it is also worth mentioning that Uncle Mungo's twice burn burger also did not live up to its name, firstly because of the secondary eye burn and following that was many more burning episodes :) :) :) twice burn is a gross understatement. The experience made for a funny story, and in the end a bloody good meal. I can't wait to go back and get some more burgers (none to do with Uncle Mungo) and I will never, ever challenge my boyfriend again.

Came in on a Sunday evening and the place was pretty full up. Lots of atmosphere in the cafe which is great to see. Orders took a very long time to come out. We arrived at 6:15 and we ordered our food by 6:30. We got our meals at 7:55pm. In which they forgot parts of our order. It appeared that this happened on a few tables and it was not just us that took a long time for the food to be served up. The food is great, the wait time is not. Being told 20 minutes to then have it take an hour and a half... And with a child too, it makes things rather hard to keep them entertained. All in all, if this place is busy, be aware it will take a long time to get your food to you. If its quiet, this place is certainly a great place to be with some delicious food.

They need to keep the doors closed or invest in a fly screen though - I'd rather eat without the flies around!

The burger patties don't have onion, so this is a perfect place for those who are fructose/onion intolerant. Their tomato sauce is even onion/vegetable powder free 😁 They also have a vegan burger, or in the past have been happy to swap the meat pattie for a hash brown. The burgers are large and taste amazing. The owner is very friendly, happy to chat or happy to leave you to play one of the many board/card games he has around the place, and soon to have an arcade machine with galaga and a heap of old school games! Their thick and milk shakes are pretty damn good as well. They have menulog for those lazy days you don't want to leave your house, or call and order and pick it up on the way home from work. 100% recommend.

Just Cruize In diner is set in the classic 50's Americana Rock N Roll era, from chequered flooring to a jukebox, LP's and memorabilia of the era adorning the walls. It's done well and doesn't come off chintzy or cheap but really captures the feel of 50's post war America. The menu is well thought out and captures the classic staples of the scene - burgers, fries, hotdogs and shakes. The only thing missing is a soda jerk pulling tall frosty root beers from the fountain! The real stand out here is not only the superior quality food, but the staff. They are attentive, smiling and welcoming. You really feel their dedication to the place, and they are a real credit to the establishment. The owner Paul is a cut above, happy to enthusiastically go into detail about sourcing local artisinal ingredients and supporting the community. An absolute star, I highly recommend a visit here (you'll end up coming back, I assure you!) And for me, the James Brown burger is where it's at, a hands down winner (the whole menu is, not a wrong choice to be had here, try it all!). In a world of same same run of the mill quality and service, Just Cruize In are the type of diner that existed 30 years ago. Service, quality and smiles.
