Best burger in Melbourne❤❤ the bun is very fluffy and the wagyu beef patty is cooked medium well, super juicy! Also amazed by the delicious crocodile burger, the chili jam inside matches so well. Cosy little burger joint. Tried the metro burger. The meat is really juicy which makes a good combination with the soft bun and all the other ingredients. Chips are not overly seasoned with salt. Good for grabbing a quick meal before heading to a concert in the Art Centre.

We come back to Metro Burger after couple of years, mostly due to Covid. We choosed to sit outside as it was perfect day. Unfortunately somehow we could feel that everything is changed around, some places are closed for good and some are empty. We have ordered the Metro Burger and Chilli Chipolte Burger. Both have been nice with good quality beef, although I have to admit I have prefered Metro ones. Our piccolo coffee was very nice. Good selection of beers and ciders and non alcoholic drinks. Staff was polite and friendly.

This is a tough rating.... The burger was great! It was one of the best ones O have had (and i have had a lot)! The only marginal improvement point was that the meat could have been more on the pink side but that's personal taste. The rest was spot on, everything! The place itself is in a stylish little alley and the service is great too. The reason for 4/5 is the price. A burger (a great one) and a soft drink should not be over $30, sorry guys, that you will have to adjust in my view. I will be back!... Unless my financial advisor or girlfriend finds out about the price.

Stopped by to have the Emu burger and it's was delicious! Every bite was perfect! Does not come with fries which is a bit disappointing (probably the American in me) but worth it nonetheless! My travel rule is to not go to the same place twice but I will make an exception here, hope to be back to try the kangaroo and the gator burger! The place is smaller than I expected but not bad at all! It is in a nice like alley street with a nice sitting area to people watch! (If you're still hungry after there's a donut place right across the street!) My waitress, which I forgot to catch her name, was friendly and on point! Can't wait to go again! (Fingers crossed!!) **Went back for the Kangaroo burger!! Again, was not disappointed! Great service! And even better food!

Great tasting Australian meat burgers! The crocodile meat burger has a dash of chilli jam which makes it very tasty, and the meat is smooth & flavourful. The kangaroo meat is rougher in texture with a stronger meat taste. Emu salad was good too but it tasted almost like beef salad. I would visit this joint again!

A little shop that seats 24 people. Great atmosphere and good selection of burgers. I tried the Outback Kangaroo burger, the Supreme beef burger and the Chicken schnitzel burger. All washed down with a Cricketers Arms Keepers Larger. The burgers were good but not the best I have had. And as others have posted they are on the smaller side. That being said I will return another day to try other burgers on the menue.

A relatively low key burger joint serving up some unique and delicious burgers. The decor is not upscale but the emu burger I had was delicious. Extremely tender and juicy. Staff is friendly but the seating is quite small. Great spot if you want to try out some of Australia's national birds. They have both kangaroo and emu burgers available.

Great place to try exotic meat from Australia! At this small scale burger shack you can buy both Crocodile, Kangaroo and Emu burger. Our burgers were jucy with a delicious sauce and fresh veggies. Ordered emu and crocodile burgers. The meat is actually like a piece if meat and not a minced meat burger patty, which I was very happy about as it allows you to really try the emu and crocodile meat. I had a problem with my Uber Eats delivery, thought I'd call to ask the restaurant myself as I couldn't find a contact for Uber Eats. The guy from Metro Burgers was super friendly and helpful. He explained he even cooked our two specialty burgers twice in order they were fresh upon pick-up (absolute legend). Unfortunately Uber eats wasn't able to pick up for some (understandable pandemic) reason. And my order will be refunded. Things sometimes go wrong and thats okay. Most important thing for me was the contact with the venue was great with the communication. I will definitely be back. Great food too.

Was here last night, and oh my lord! I have not had a burger this GOOD. And my partner & I eat burgers a lot! We both ordered the metro supreme and... Just delicious! If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would! Oh and before I forget.. the shake... If you're thinking of ordering one, stop thinking DEFINITELY order it! It was like my childhood 💗 no one makes shakes like that anymore, no one!

The atmosphere was cozy. A little small for the 5 of us, but we managed to fit. The southern fried chicken burger was pretty alright. Buns were very soft. Could've done with a little bit more sauce, but was still good. They also have a loyalty program. Every 10th meal you get your regular burger (which they ask you the very first time you order). But in between you get a free can or a coffee and then free chips.

Very delicious burger! You have to come an visit this nice little restaurant! There is also a wall of fame, if you can eat the crazy burger.

Yummy! 😋 Having never been to Melbourne before I was recommend to eat in Degraves. Saw the sign for kangaroo burgers and just had to try it. Wow so beautifully cooked and the accompaniments worked so beautifully together too, it was almost a shame having the fries too, but they were cooked to perfection as well. It's a small and crowded place and the prices are a little high for a counter service burger joint, even in the CBD.

Was very surprised by the quality of burgers here. Had classic "Bacon Burger", and it was cooked to perfection. Most places overcook the patty and burgers end up dry and horrible, but not here, I was very pleased by how juicy the burger here was. I had the kangaroo burger and my friend had the emu burger and we both left happy and satisfied. A hunger for burgers brought me to this place and I was not disappointed. I had the titular Metro burger as it was my first time here but they have a wide range to choose from (beef, chicken, lamb, veggie, kangaroo, etc). Definitely not a heavy grease ball, the Metro burger had nice fresh lettuce with definite crunch, a nice tasting patty and soft bun. Patty could have been thicker but I was satisfied with the overall experience. Quenched my hunger on a hot day, which I think a less greasy burger does well. Recommended if you are looking for a great burger!

I came here craving a burger and chips and left satisfied. A cheap burger restaurant in a laneway: a perfect Melbourne eatery. The restaurant itself is pretty small. Only come with a friend or small group. We sat and watched our burgers being made. The burgers were greasy and big and the chips were American style.

The quality of food appears to be one of the best in degraves street and the area. Always fresh and amazing choice of food especially with the exotic burgers, which although have a slightly higher price, are very warranted with their quality and taste. Loved this place. Had the Metro beef burger (the one with pineapple) and it was really, really, really good. I ate it with my hands and and got chutney everywhere but I was happy like child! A small place for having a quick and very satisfying lunch colse to Federation Square. Their feature burgers are kangaroo, crocodile and emu. I got the cangaroo that was very tasty and my friend got Haloumi burger that was fine too. Italian girl who took care of us was very kind and friendly. Unpretentious, warm and fast service is the best part for me. Practically American style wait service, they welcome you, take orders without mistakes, and spend time chatting if you feel like talking. Your food arrives within a couple minutes. That's truly hard to find this calibre of service in an inexpensive burger joint, and it makes you wonder how they found the employees they did. I had the bacon burger with fries. The fries are thin, salty and crispy, and the servings are generous. The burger is juicy and saucy, with a toasted bun and a hint of Dijon mustard. The chocolate milkshake with ice cream and flakes of chocolate was delicious. A great place to visit on these cold Melbourne nights, I'll be coming back.

Great quality burger. Tried my buddy’s burger and it’s a stringy, gamey type that is set for tourist who want something “local” even though I don’t think it is very common with anybody. It’s a quaint little place so except tourist pricing because you are in the heart of the CBD-downtown area. I ordered the chipotle burger, pretty solid. Fries are similar to a MCD style fry (shoe string size) with some fish salt (?) although it tastes like normal salt to my neaderthal taste buds. Overall a 4.5 star out of 5.

For a pricey burger place the value doesnt add up. You have to ask for table water even though its seated service. Paid $16.90 for the southern fried chicken burger, one of the cheapest burger items, that doesnt include fries for that price either. Chicken was overcooked and dry and incredibly spicey even though its a buttermilk crumb. Burger fell apart almost immediately. Big thick uncooked slices of red onion (thats more personal taste). Not much to it would of been more fitting as a $10-11 burger or even if the $16.90 included fries that might have made up for the shortfalls.

My wife and I tried this Burger Shop on a weekday. It's a small Burger Shop just 1 min walk away from the Flinders Station. Tried the Outback Kangaroo Burger and Metro Supreme. Soft bread and moist burgers. One of the best Burger I had in the Melbourne CBD. We tried the Mocha Milk Shake. Huge glass of milk shake, enough for 2 people. A must try... We loved it. Friendly staff and very prompt service. Will serenity visit again... I will give 4.5 out of 5.

Better than Grill'd! I love a good burger and really enjoyed the bacon burger at Perk Up Burgers, which is just across the street from its chain store rival. Places like this are the reason I love Melbourne. Tiny little burger joint. You could probably fit only 20 people most in this place and it would be packed. Funny this is that it is always packed. So many people know about this place or stumble upon it. It has made a name for itself. Perkup is focussed on producing fantastic burgers. The lamb burger does exactly what it claims it does, "melt in your mouth". That tzatziki, get around it. I recommend coming here with a few other friends on a casual night out. Very nice atmosphere and a great dinner for an affordable price.
