Comments of Royal Stacks
A.
Burgers were really good, milkshake was average. I got the tower so I was expecting it to be much bigger however my son demolished it within a few minutes. Their sauce was cutting a bit too close to the big mac sauce other than that the meat was juicy and on point. Not disappointed but it's not my go to for the price. Worth the try.
I. D.
Comfortable atmosphere, affordable prices, and quick order turn around time.
As far as the burger experience goes, you would be hard pressed to taste a better burger. When a burgers first bite tastes as good as its last. You know you've got a winner.

Royal Stacks is the perfect place for a delicious and tasty midweek dinner. The burgers are great & if you're looking to spice up your night even more we recommend ordering one of our favorite dishes: Kavorka Chicken Burger or Cheesy Fries! Staff were super friendly, we waited outside while our food for cooking and they brought it out for us. Highly recommend.

Randomly stumbled upon this gem. Really good food and service. Easy to order at the table via your phone. The Miss Elizabeth burger was my favourite and the Kavorka was really good as well. We had the Bueno milkshake as the drink and some fries and onion rings on the side. Everything was really good. Highly recommend!!
L. F.
The Kavorka (chicken) burger was pretty yum, the chicken crispy and moist and everything was the right ratios besides the pickle. Definitely felt there could’ve been more pickles for extra bite. Mac & cheese croquettes were delish but dense and expensive for what it is. Also thought there would’ve been more fries for a large serving. Delivery was super speedy and everything arrived warm.

Royal Stacks is a good little burger joint located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD on Collins Street. The pattys are juicy and well cooked, with the addition of a robust bun for maximum fillings. The fries that are crispy yet fluffy, just as they should be, and the thick-shakes are not to be missed by anyone with a sweet tooth. The restaurant is uniquely themed and spacious, great for a sit down, though the service is quick if you’re on the go.

Went here for lunch. Shown to a table on arrival. Friendly and great service. Food is ordered by scanning QR code on phone and when ready sms sent to your phone. Foid arrived quickly. I had a single stack burger and hash brown fries with chipotle and truffle mayo. The burger was tasty as were the hash browns but couldn't really taste truffle. Prices I felt were a bit high but all up a good meal.

Grabbed takeaway after a long work day, my server was super nice and talked me through the menu to help me figure out what would work with my dietary restrictions. Got my food quickly and absolutely hit the spot after a long day!
S. T.
Delicious food, enjoyable decor and wonderful staff. We ordered via QR codes on the tables, making the process easy and quick. If you want a tasty burger you could do far worse than drop in here.
A.
Expecting a major food coma after consuming a burger roughly the size of a child's head. It was delicious, the staff were lovely and the restaurant was very accommodating of my girlfriends dietary requirements.
Definitely the best burger I've had since coming to Melbourne. Thanks for the meal.
B. M.
Great burgers, fries and shakes. Onion rings and dips also very good. Order at counter or use the mobile app that pops up when you scan the QR code at your table. Good atmosphere and service was helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit or two.
R. W.
A great place to take the team for an afternoon lunch, but during the week get here early, or you'll be waiting outside for a spot. Atmosphere was great, nice large tables and enough room for burgers and sides. Burgers are on the smaller side, if you're a big eater, you'll need to double or triple patty, or get a few sides like the potato gems, which are crispy as. Cheese fries need to be eaten ASAP, or it comes stale/cold and that's not bueno for cheese. Just loses a star for the quality of cheese, doesn't seem to last once put out.
*EDIT* Added in a takeaway order. This is the triple chicken burger. Surprisingly arrived well, can't say the same about the cheesy fries though, almost unable to eat those.
P. S.
The burgers are good.. drinks list is limited, although the milk shakes look good.
It’s trying to be shake shake, but does not come close.
The loaded fries will give your a heart attack, but you won’t be able to stop once you start.
Overall it’s an expensive burger meal in a fairly mundane environment.
The staff are friendly but not enough to make up for the environment and average food.
If you like burgers give it a good, but there are plenty of other better options in Melbourne.

We were looking for a good burger joint for our anniversary, and we came across this for delivery.
We ordered the Saint Burger - Two all Australian pasture fed beef patties, minced fresh daily, tomato, lettuce, bacon, American cheddar, raw onion, chipotle mayo, pickled jalapenos; with a side of Diamond Cut Beer Battered Chips (large) - Made from 100% Tasmanian potato, encased in beer batter, lightly seasoned with salt, with Chipotle Mayo dip.
The burger was not a disappointment at all! Perfectly cooked, nice & juicy, with fresh veggies and the right amount of spice to it. The chips were nice & crispy.
Definitely the best we had so far in Melbourne!
D. W.
The food is delicous all the good parts of a fast good place with all the good parts of a high end burger restaurant.
A. E.
First time here and it's been okay. Foods great, service is pretty okay too. I wasn't sure how ordering online worked but eventually figured it out. Since it was our first time as well, we weren't sure if we were to be seated or to sit down ourselves. Turns out it was the latter. Food looks and tastes amazing. I ordered a Margarita but it was fairly small for the price and I think I overpaid for it. The ambience is definitely for a younger crowd with the rap style music sometimes blasting in the restaurant with how loud it is. Overall a good experience, but can be better.
J. S.
Look, if you deep fry mac-and-cheese and put it on a burger, imma give you 5 stars. Also the thick shakes are high quality. Well done. Potentially my only critique is that inside was very dimly lit in the middle of the day.
J. S.
Tried 3 different burgers over last few visits and really loved them all. The single stack and queen bee were great..
Though not really a fan of fries and I believe they shld work more on it. Will definitely visit when I feel like having a burger..
E. E.
One of the best Burger places I have visited in Melbourne. Staff were patient with my order and super friendly. They made me feel wanted and the burger was on point.
Second to none in my view, Hats off to Royal Stacks 🎩
M. G.
One of my all time favourite burger joints - legit have cravings for their miss Elizabeth and Mac and cheese croquettes. Love trying their cocktails this time around. Great staff, great food and good times all around
J. A.
Great service from Rachel and staff and Chef.
Always worth the 45 min drive to come here last night to eat. Definitely this place is the go for great burger and great beers.
Burgers are amazing and always cooked to perfection. Chips are nice and we'll portioned. kid's love the shakes.
Great family night out.
J. C.
Went on a Friday night, sat outside, was pretty quiet which was nice - inside seemed busier. Got burger, beer batter chips and a thickshake with double flavour (def recommend the double flavour as even then it wasn't over powered/too sweet). Everything was great except the chips which were a little disappointing. Cost was just over 30 bucks but was mainly due to getting the mac n cheese burger and the thickshake. Friends had cocktails which were only 12 bucks but were relatively small. All in all, was a nice casual meal and setting, would return.
M. J.
The veg burgers are great. A bit pricey though. QR code menu that they always recommend you use is a joke - it can take an order of magnitude longer to make your order rather than just going up to the counter.
L. J.
My favourite burgers in Melbourne! After having Shake Shack in the states I was really looking for something similar here in Melbourne. This comes pretty close. The patty is pink in the middle, the sauce is really tangy and tasty, the bun is sweet and soft. The staff are very friendly and the service is so quick. The atmosphere is good, loud and buzzing most of the time.
My only complaint would be that the place is a little unclean, at least when we visited, the toilets obviously hadn’t been looked at in awhile.
D. H.
Came in today (30/10 around 3pm) and the staff were amazing and bright through our short interaction and to the people who came in after us.
Also we've eaten from here a few times and usually make the same orders but today it was just especially great. 10/10 for the strawberry milkshakes
S. D.
Totally over the top and indulgent. We love it. Extremely customisable menu, you can make some crazy burgers here! Both beef and fried chicken are tasty and juicy.
If youre ordering cheese fries or gems ask for the cheese separately and pour or dip yourself as then everything doesn't get soggy.
A. C.
Simply loved the place. It's rather bustling but you are someone like me who loves no frills burgers and milkshakes, this is the place! I went with my family (plus a toddler) and from the outside, it seemed that there might not be high chairs for toddlers. But thankfully, a staff came to us and nicely said that they do have high chairs! Wow! We were impressed. They even have a elevator for wheelchairs. The staff were friendly and nice. The food was good. Loved their burgers and milkshakes! Never get to eat the famed In & Out Burgers or Shake Shack but this is good enough for me!
Thank you staff of Royal Stacks for making it a great trip for us!
J. P.
The place is stylish and beautiful 👍🏻
Staff concerned and patient enough to wait for first time customer to choose
However, they do not have a meal, you have to buy everything extra and really expensive. Again, yes, it's delicious, but a drink shouldn't be $7.
L. T.
Good hamburgers that are not run of the mill and a nice Collins St location. Counter service was good and easy but our burgers seemed a little slow to arrive. Also the table we had ( outside on footpath) could really have done with wipe down.
Anyway most important question I think is would I go there again ...... Yes.
(Pic is of building across the road)

My partner and I visited the Royal Stacks Restaurant on Collins St Melbourne. We were greeted by a lovely woman who I think goes by the name of Terri, who was so delightful to deal with from the moment we walked in. We haven’t experienced this kind of service in such a long time so it was super refreshing. Please forward this feedback to her as we want to say thank you for such an amazing experience. We’ll definitely be back. 😊
J. &. F. K.
Beautiful place with great value for money. The service is great and people are super friendly.
We loved the burger and the fact it is a free refill fountain. The chips came abundant for a medium size. The beef patty as above average. The chickpea (veggie) patty was OK but a bit under expectation. The place is trendy and well located. The cost-benefit is superb. This is definitive a place worth of experimenting if you are looking for a burger experience in the CBD.
Y. G.
Great staff. The order took 10 minutes to be ready. Tasty burgers. Will come back again.

This place is awesome!
Think, Fast food meets quality! Royal Stacks put out some really nice burgers, with a fast food / American vibe.
The burgers are slightly smaller than what you'd expect, but the flavour combos make up for that! You can also get potatoes gems (tots)!
This would be an ideal place to grab a cheeky feed with some mates!
K. S.
Burgers that taste great with soft, melt in your mouth patties and reasonable pricing! I'd recommend the cheesy gems, it's like mini cylindrical hash browns with American cheese. If you're wanting something small, go for the Single Stack for a good regular every burger, or the Miss Elizabeth for something small but a little bit more silky and sinful. Service here is always with a smile. Expect to queue on Friday lunch hours.
i. a.
Good burgers but didn't like the wedges, seems like the oil was old. COVID check in etc in place.
Z. K.
Absolutely LOVE Royal Stacks! My go to restaurant in the CBD when I’m craving a burger. Did I mention they have the BEST Mac and cheese croquette/patty? Cause they damn well do. Also the cheesy fries here should never be slept on. Banger!
100% recommend these guys to anyone and everyone that is looking for a good burger in Melbourne CBD
P.
The fried chicken is a good price and tastes substantially better than kfc.
Chocolate milk shakes are great and royal stacks gives you a little extra with every order which is nice.
Best restaurant I've eaten from as of today. 10/10
J. T.
FINALLY, good chilli cheese fries!!
A place in Melbourne that doesn't use that weird cheese melt, and accurately displays what I kiss about American chilli cheese fries!! They're a little bit expensive but happy to pay it for such a lovely tasting meal
T. S.
Best burger shop our family has been too. MASSIVE servings, lovely staff. Highly recommended.
P. K.
Yum Yum should be the name of this place. Someone needs to start a Burgers Anonymous for anyone getting a tasty burger or those golden melted cheesy fries. The staff have always been friendly and mostly I will order when I have a late night in town as they are quick. The only issue I have is what to order because I’ve tried every burger and they are all good.
M. B.
If you want a burger in Melbourne it is imperative you visit Royal Stacks.
The staff, the service, the food, the vibe, all beyond expectational!
The prices are incredibly fair for CBD takeaway and they have a vege burger called Queen Bee!!!
I’ll be going back, will you?
J. A.
Solid burgers. Chicken burger is quality, and I love any place that has sparkling water on tap!
S. B.
Burgers are good quality, croquettes could use some seasoning as cheese alone tastes a little bland. Decor is a little dark and cramped due to venue size. Shakes, however, are incredible. I will forever patronise this establishment for their shakes, they sure do make a great take-out Flake Shake.
A. R.
Got the veggie stack and Ms Elizabeth which were amazing. Best burgers in Melb!
W. S.
The burgers were delicious and the staff are quite friendly. 100% coming back here.
A.
Came here while I was on holliday from Adelaide. I had the king burger it was very nice, but maybe next time go for a smaller burger without the mac and cheese croquette in it. If I'm in town again would try the chicken as my daughter loved it.
A. A. m.
really good place to hangout, prices are good but the burger is a bit salty and the sauce is a bit heavy on the stomach
L. T.
Amazing service and burgers!!! One of the best I’ve had in melbourne. Free chippies on the house from the lovely server too. Can’t go wrong
J. B.
Pretty good vegetarian burger, hard to get vegetarian right, maybe change the chickpea seasoning so it doesn't taste so much like falafel.
Y.
One of the best burgers i have had in Melbourne, Australia.
It was not hard to find and the staff were very friendly. We ordered 3 burgers and they were great. The milkshake was okay, alittle too sweet for us. Fries was pretty good as well!
R. A.
Big, delicious, and super fair price!
Ordered their "Double Stacks" and fooled by it's small appearance in the counter. Turns out that it is one thick burger with deeeeelicious patty as well.
A bit slow if there is a queue but it's well worth it.
Edit
Try up their "Saint" and "Miss Elizabeth"! Saint is bit spicy while Miss Elizabeth got truffle mayo! Delicious!
And the Peanut Butter and Jelly milkshake? Heavenly!
C. L.
Amazing milkshakes and burgers! This is by far the best place for milkshakes - they have all kinds of interesting flavours such as Peanut Butter & Jelly, Kinder Bueno, Snickers, Mint and more. Their burgers are pretty good, especially the "Ms Elizabeth" which comes with a truffle mayo. Sides are slightly pricey and average, but this is otherwise a great burger joint.
A. A. H.
My friends & I went their last week for a dinner, the staff were very friendly. The place was clean and there were plenty of seating. Honestly the single stack burger was killing it 😭 (ordered one more). The Kavorka (fried chicken burger) and he really liked it. My friend ordered The loaded fries was so delicious but hoped it was a little bit spicy 🌶. I am definitely coming back again and again.
A. M.
Um ok wow. I had the prince harry or Albert or unfortunately can't remember but it had beef, two cheeses and a heavenly horseradish sauce with a chicken patty I added. The bun is soft and still stable, the beef perfectly cooked and the chicken crunchy and delicious. Hard to describe how well the sauce and cheese goes with those meats because it's unlike any burger I've had but still felt like home....😍😍😍
P. S.
Awesome food, burger joint that manages to be unique! Love the design of the place. Staff were lovely! I will be back :)
S. T.
Great burgers that are also very filling. Went here 3 nights in a row. Tried the kavorka, prince harry, bacon bacon and Bae of fire. All delicious! The onion rings are the best I've ever had.
The staff were friendly and you can order with Deliveroo.
N. D.
Another burger joint? Think I need to spend more time in the gym.
Royal stack opened to much fanfare in 2015. The brain child of the guys that brings you amazing burgers at the Dandenong Pavilion – Dani Zeni and Josh Leffers (Motorhome Majestic fame) who coincidentally also brought you the Grand Trailer Park Taverna, this was sure to delight you like a good American food place should.
When you walk in, you’re immediately taken aback by the bright lights and funky pop music. The beats are pumping and you don’t know whether to dance or eat. Thankfully, I was really hungry and the appetite won out over the need to dance.
Ordering the Bacon Bacon and chilli cheese fries, it wasn’t long before the food arrived. I’m always intrigued by the idea of having those coasters that light up.
I think it’s a good way to make you build your appetite for the meal. It’s the anticipation that gets you the most.
The Bacon Bacon is exactly what you’d expect, ground beef patties with chewy bacon and sauce that tantalises your tastebuds. It was juicy, succulent and worthy of the awesome pickles that are included.
The cheese fries? Dear gawd do not get it!! That cheese is literally like plastic. I was so hungry that I still ate it but I don’t think I would do it or recommend it again. Give it a miss completely. [Update: I suffered because of this – seriously avoid this one completely]
Overall for the price, I was ok with it but given my experience with the cheese fries, I’d stick with the burger.
The free ice cream, on the other hand, was the main items that saved this experience from being overly negative. You got to try the Salted Caramel ice cream. The smooth creamy texture and rich flavour is the right way to end this experience.
I am neither sold nor am I repulsed. It was a rather average experience and it would take a lot for me to get back into it.
S. H.
Get their burgers nooowww!! Real juicy beef flavour with fresh ingredients. For 15-16 bucks, you can finally taste the freshest burger in Melbourne! Fries are key.
J. S.
Really enjoyed the taste of their single stack burger. Friendly staff, wana go try the rest of their menu. But mildly disappointed that they didnt have a burger named "royal with cheese" 😂
S. l.
Service was great. Took time to recommend. Burger was fine, not great. Would prefer a better personality in the sauce to go along with the burger.
F. C.
My fav burger place in the city 😍😍😍
Used to have a Miss Elizabeth with an added mac 'n cheese croquette, but proud to share that they've added exactly the same thing as a menu item!! They know their customers well 😉
Update: it was a special, its removed now 😭
Service, atmosphere and serving speed is always great! Love this place!
A.
I am sure this place gets huge lineups during busy hours. Thankfully, we visited while it wasn't too busy, which meant service was quick and efficient. Staff were very friendly and make take-away for cheesecake on a stick very easy (it was sweet, and quite filling after a burger AND fries). The vegetarian burger looked like something from a fast food chain, but tasted a lot better. The melted cheese, the patty and the greens all complimented each other well. As mentioned, the cheesecake was quite sweet but delicious with a hard shell that should probably be eaten with a spoon, so the 'stick' part is just to make it different, I suppose.
L. R.
Great burger place. Love the cheese gems. Appreciate the no bun option.
E. A.
Favourite place for a burger. Plus the veggie options are the best, love the queen bee. It can get busy but they are still efficient and the quality is good. They always have a great specials too.
B. C.
Glorious glorious burgers. Please take the Miss Elizabeth burger and slap on the Mac & Cheese patty. You will not regret it. Frozen custard is pretty much similar to ice cream.
Z. M.
Perfectly cooked delicious burgers. I had the the bacon bacon burger had the right amount of bacon with great tasting buns and lots of sauce. The only criticism is it could have been a bit bigger. Food came out fast. Very friendly staff. Definitely be back.
L. M.
Yummy food, fair price, friendly staff... can't really beat it! My only comment would be the ambiance was a bit off. The back part felt a bit boring even though they had a cool digital burger. Other wise, great place!
L. J.
Best burgers ever! I ordered the Veggie burger with bacon. All the ingredients were fresh and the soft bread was perfect. They made a big mac style sauce for this burger too. Relaxing, good vibe and music.
Y. H.
You got a massively tasty burger and a relatively good price for that. You can refill your softdrink if you buy a large one but you cant if it is a small one. I got full on meatlover burger (forgot the name, sorry) and it was great! It has onion rings, double beef, cheese and bacon on it and it was more than just delicious.
A. H.
Had their chicken burger and mcDowell. They were really nice although would be nicer if the beef patty was cooked well done.
M. G.
I was born in the USA. These burgers remind me of home. I am grateful. Keep up the good work.
S. G.
Found a new winner! Great variety of beef and chicken burgers. Quick enough service with good ambiance. The place is usually packed but you can find a place almost every time. Extra points for serving halal.
J. S.
Wow!!! My new fave burger place in the CBD!!! SO MUCH VARIETY, GREAT FLAVOURS, COOL SPACE & AWESOME VIBES! X
J. N.
Really tasty burgers. Nice beef, soft buns and fresh salads. Well priced and good service. Would go back.
W. T.
Got the bae of fire. Really good. Fries decent too. Salted caramel milkshake is great. The kitchen has window and when we peeped in, there were 3 staff but the food was very slow to come out though there were not that many customers at 7+ pm on a Sunday.
A. M.
If you like burgers and fries then this is the place to go! They have a wide variety of different burgers, fries, potato gems and desserts. They are very tasty but on the pricier side of most burger places. If it were slightly cheaper it would be a definite 5 stars. Try it out for yourself!
H. R.
Have no idea how i've missed the fact their is a Royal Stacks on Collins St Melb for 3 years and never tasted their 'incredibleness' - this place really rocks. Fantastic staff from the engaging manager that actually seems to care what you think, to the host staff behind the counter and willing to clean up your mess for you. Best of all - the FOOD is incredible. There are many burger joints around now, but Royal Stacks are doing is REALLY WELL, i mean REALLY WELL. You will love the food and it's reasonably priced. Some joints now are getting ludicrous with pricing, but not Royal Stacks. Incredible i had some amazeballs CHICKEN burger - The Kavorka - that was so juicy and tender, the crispy fried crumbed outside - it was to die for. lovely coleslaw, cheesy sauce and special mayo and bun - all manner of delicious ingredients, it wouldn't have been out of place if it was served up at the Stokehouse for $29.50... it was great great eating. Others had The Saint or the Bacon Bacon.. they were likewise fantastic - juicy tender hand made seasoned premium meat patties EVERYDAY. Nothing frozen EVER, always fresh, not many other places can truly tell you that. Add to that an old time gem.. .yes Tater Tots, or Potato Gems.. golden fried nuggets of love, i loved them as a kid and loved them tonight as well, they were beautifully cooked golden. But to top it off they have incredible in-house made ice-cream / custard/ gelato as well... Talk about both my loves - ice-cream and burgers... i might as well camp out and set up house. Great drinks, bottled or post-mix with ice which i personally like, the odd re-fill doesn't go astray.. .it was great. Nice fit out as well.. super busy i hear on weekends and they even have 3 stores in CHINA now too... a must for burger and ice-cream lovers. A must... the menu is varied enough for everyone.
D. M.
Nice burgers but a bit small and the buns are not as great as others around. Bacon was nicely cooked though, and the shakes are so delicious. I got the Oreo shake and it's probably the best Oreo shake I've ever had .
R. H.
The new double chicken burgers are so good, and the service was amazing as usual, the girl who served us was super friendly and professional.
H. M.
We had double stacked and prince harry with oreo milkshake which were phenomenal!! I loved creamy part of prince harry more than the meaty double stacked burger. I really wanted to try the stix frozen cheesecake but I was too full to have desserts afterwards. I’d definitely go back to try those! You would not call this “American burger” however since the size or portion of it was quite small. I wish they had sweet potato fries though cause I always prefer to have sweet potato fries instead of french fries or onion rings.
D.
Great atmosphere, good quality food and nice portions. Although their tap water was hot and it took a very long time to get 2 burgers and 1 cheesy fries. It would’ve been much better if they could provide a faster service as well as a jug of water for tables.
J. B.
Royal Stacks is one of my fave burger places in the city. I go here for lunches with colleagues, as well as for an after-work lazy treat by myself from time to time. The burgers are a 4 out of 5, in that they're pretty tasty, but not especially different from all the many other American diner restaurants, like 8-bit and Betty's. But a 4/5 still means it's a terrific all-round burger. What really makes this place a 5-star rating is all the effort they have clearly put in to the details: the shakes are sublime, the cheesy gems are artery-clogging goodness, and the service is fast and efficiently-managed, especially when you consider how many customers go through this place on a busy Friday at lunch. My feedback is small: the corner booths are super-awkward to get in and out of when you have many people going up to fetch their meals, which interrupts you eating. So I prefer this place with small groups or solo, despite the fact it can handle larger groups. A plus: I do love that they have American Sports on the TVs. Great for when you're solo-dining.
M. A.
The #Burger is excellent and the #fries you don't want to miss.
The staff are really nice and helpful. The service as well good. The place is modern and have nice seating.
You may ask for #Halal meat in your burger they do serve it.
x.
First time having this experience, which is eating a burger with milkshake.. but I swear to god it was the best ❤️
Staff at the restaurant are kind, the place is clean and the music were the best.
Really enjoyed my meal with my mate at “Royal Stacks”, 10/10, recommended.
T. S.
The King burger all the way! Mac n Cheese made it 👌
V.
Tried The King and it's good!
If you're looking to fill your tummy while enjoying some good music, this is the place to go! The burger here is very filling.
So i came here 1 year later and it's still as good as ever! Honestly i think the food quality actually improved! The interior looks better than previously too!
B. B.
Cheap burger place with a bar. The menu is all about cheesy, greasy and tasty burgers paired with salted potato gems or fries or cheesy either. Portion sizes are small - but you'd want them to be if you cared at all about your arteries. Well worth it for the glorious burgers. Partner and I had the queen bee burger which comes with a chickpea patty. Menu was a bit restrictive - no vegan or gluten free options here (other than the fries I think). Would definitely order queen bee again as a legit vegetarian option.
Staff were great and brought out free frozen custard for us as someone in our group was having a birthday. See pic below. Would recommend frozen custards and milkshakes from here- flavours are on point.
Great location close to trams and southern cross station.
Lost a star from me mainly because of lack of dietary options and I was hungry very soon after.
Other than that a great place for a cheeky burger.
M. S.
It was amazing ..
Quick service, big space , more options to choose from (even for vegetarians).
Burgers are so yummmm.. filling too.
J. R.
Not the best in Melbourne by a long shot, but very solid still. The burgers are great, well cooked and succulent but they are a little small, even with fries I've left here several times feeling like another quarter of a burger.
The shakes are delicious but they have the same problem where the servings are just small enough to really feel like it takes away from the experience.
The sizing problem wouldn't be so bad if the prices were reasonable, but this place seems to run just that little bit more than the competition in the area.
It wouldn't be hard to get that extra star from me, they would just have to be a little more generous with the food.
C. D. S.
Absolutely. Brilliant.
🍔 Single Stack - Meat was juicy and the salad was fresh
🍟 Cheesy Fries - Simple, delicious, and hella cheesy
🥤Nutella Crunch - Best Nutella milkshake I’ve ever drunk
If I’m ever back in Melbourne, I’ll see you there 🤤
A. L.
Review is based solely on the frozen custard. I tried the Oreo flavour and it was ok. The texture wasn't the smoothest making it just average. Will be back to revise once I've had a burger from there
A. “. L.
Royal stacks is a pretty decent burger shop, but for me was a bit underwhelming when I visited. I visited at about 2pm on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty, so I was hoping for a nicely cooked burger and fries. The burger was good but kinda forgettable but what killed it was the fries, The fries were a bit old and that was disappointing and when im paying $25 for a burger and large fries I don't want to have to go back to the counter and get a fresh set.
The interior is pretty dimly lit but well furnished, and if i do happen to be in the area It's still a spot I will drop buy if hungry, but if I was looking for melbourne's best burger I'd go somewhere else.
R. W.
Always good burgers and mac and Cheese croquettes are amazing. Good music inside!
L. Y.
Great chips, but the Harry burger was a little small. Triple choc milkshake was super rich. Will try the ice cream next time!
T. W.
Burger was devine and the service was great. If you want a great authentic burger this is a winner. Chips could have been better but were still ok, wouldn't hold it against em at all.
C.
One of my favorite places in Melbourne CBD.
The burgers are very good and tasty. This beast was amazing ! And the restaurant is really nice.
Y. G.
Burgers taste great but they are a bit small for the money you pay! Nice place to sit with friends and their shakes are good too.
S. C.
Great burgers and chips. Try the thick shakes. They are delicious
F. M.
Really enjoyed our pickup order
Great location and vibe of the restaurant
Partner super pleased with the the Mac and cheese balls, will be back again
E.
I love this place. The decor is cool and the hamburgers are so good
R. M.
Great burger place with tap beer!!! Meat was juicy bacon was crispy bread was soft and cheese was melted what else do you want!!!
K. C.
Had a fantastic experience at Royal Stacks, the staff were kind and not rushing customers who were new to their eatery on finding a meal solution which helps their dietary needs, I had a single stack burger with lettuce instead of a bun.
The prices were extremely reasonable, and it honestly felt like a treat that wasn't bad at all.
Thanks Royal Stacks, I'll be back in the future!
H. N.
Excellent Doubel Stack burger. Very clean surprisingly. I prefer burgera that are not purposefully overly greasy and oozing fat. This place provided a well rounded burger in a neat wrap making holding the burger amd eating also easy and clean. The establishment is large woth plenty of space. Mostly clean. Regular drink was 3.50 and is from the dispenser, so seems better value then paying for a can. Is on collins street so parking is a premium, best for people visitng the city via public transport, live or work in the city I'd imagine. Thanks for the great meal
I. T.
This place would be 5 stars with just a few tweaks. Burgers were great. American cheese doesn't belong on fried chicken though. The music was cranked up pretty loud on our visit. Everything else was great though. Great for kids.
W. A.
The best burgers I’ve ever had. The royal stacks went above and beyond when it comes to customer care. They sent me some snacks for breakfast knowing I’m fasting for Ramadan. Thanks you very much.
F. S.
The size of burger is a little bit small. Milkshake is a little bit like frozen or smoothie. But the staffs who work here are very nice👍👍😎
H. V.
Not a huge burger fan but absolutely loveeed the burgers here. No doubts one of the best I’ve had.
P. C.
It's one of the best burger that I ever had. Staff are friendly and the spaces of the tables are wide and comfortable.
A. S.
Visited the one on Collin's street. Absolutely amazing! The burgers were delicious, the fries were just enough, perfectly salted and unlimited drinks!
Had the privilege of trying their nutella swirl and their banana dulce ice cream, both were incredible! very nice flavours. Yes the cost is more than the average burger, but they are definitely worth it. I highly recommend giving them a shot.
Q. H. W.
Cute little place opposite the Intercontinental Melbourne that's quite convenient for a decent burger. The portions are large and quite decadent. The Nutella thick shake was really good.
T. U.
Strolled on down to royal stacks on labour day Monday.
Very happy with the entire experience. The burgers are elite. The standard burger is not greasy. Super soft bun and lettuce and tomato keep it fresh.
The fried chicken pieces are delicious. they are in thin strips so that you get more of the batter.
The waffle fries are seasoned perfectly and crunchy as hell. Highly recommend the truffle and bbq sauce dressing to go with it.
Nutella shake was great too. Good size, thick and very strong.
To top it off the staff gave us free ice cream after our meal! The triple choc was next level.
Highly recommend this place!!
R. L.
Average quality burgers, very ordinary fries, nice thickshake. Food tastes like a slightly upmarket McDonalds rather than a quality burger, and the prices are very much at the higher end.
There are better places around for similar prices, and cheaper places with the same quality.
N. G.
Amazing burgers and the cheesy potato gems are the best I've ever had. Great vibe and othe ordering process is super easy. Plenty of seating located within the restuarant.
S. R.
Best burgers we have ever had! Definitely need one in western Australia
D. S.
Simply, its a burger shop. In reality, it's more than that. Staff were fantastic and food was delicious. Definitely a place to go for great burgers or even some cheese coated potato gems.
C. V.
I've only tried the Stak Burger, so my rating is on just that.
It was a really nice burger,
I ordered without lettuce or tomato, plus I added onion so that it was as classic a cheese burger as possible, it was delicious, the bun to the pickle sauce and the beef patty, I could of probably had another two of them which isn't really a criticism, except for the fact that the burger cost was just under $12, that being said the patty could of been a tad bigger as the last couple of bights were just bread..
Yes I would go back to try some other items on the menu.
Z. T.
Customer service was 5star, burgers pretty good and fries was maccas like. We enjoyed
C. P.
Best burger joint in CBD! You can add fried chicken to their "the king" burger and it's magical
B. G.
Ate here with the family for lunch today.
The customer service and hospitality from staff was nothing short of fantastic - they treated my daughter like a princess and were so lovely to her (and they were excellent with us too)
The food was excellent. We especially loved the burgers - some of the best we have ever had.
I loved the Home Alone theme and highly recommend Royal Stacks when you are after a burger in the city. Thank you so much Royal Stacks!
A. F.
The king burger was amazing if you’re into Mac n cheese! Really fulfilling and fair price. The place is perfect for casual hangouts and the staff was really friendly.
T. M.
Coco pops milkshake, cheesy fries and "sunday ray" chicken burger.. great meal and well priced..
S. G.
Royal Stacks has great food, but this is not the highlight that keeps me coming back again and again.
It's the customer service, and it's incredibly outstanding - the credit goes to the co-owners Dani and Terry. They have been able to make every visit simply enjoyable - and that's what I look forward to whenever I go there.
Quick comment about food - I personally am a big fan of cheesy fries.
All I can hope is for this place to keep at it at the same pace! :)
J. A.
The staff are super friendly. All meats are halal except for the beacon. Make sure to ask them to clean the grill from the pork before you order.
R. W.
Yummnyyyyyyy soooooo good!!! Great juicy burgers at a decent price!!
F. H.
One of my favourite junk food restaurants. Really delicious and nice staff.
T. M.
Been here 3 times in hopes to test the consistency.
Have to give them huge props, these are by far some of if not the best burgers I have ever had. Meat is both seasoned and cooked perfectly. Guess what? They match the advertised photos!
Large drinks are free refills, hard to find in Australia... and their fries are great too! Ice cream is fantastic as are the thickshake that come from it.
The staff are amazing. Down to earth, actually care and a pleasure to talk to. Can't wait until we get one over here in st kilda/Elsternwick area.
S. L.
Burger was great!
Especially chips with cheese was amazing! Lots of cheese on the top!
If you atr a cheese lover, you will love it.
A. K.
Best burger I’ve had for a while.
J. J.
Nice burgers. Price wise it is not really a family location to get a feed unless you are willing to spend around $80 for 4.
Still worthwhile trying it out.
N. R.
My quick lunch stop. Juicy beef patty and Halal suitable.
M. F.
Ended up coming here because Bettys was packed, and was really glad we did. Burgers were awesome, cheese fries were delish & their milkshakes are to die for! Everything was so tasty and service was really great. Would go back in a heart beat
A. M.
Fantastic Burgers and Fries!
There was a larger group of us and the staff even brought out some free Frozen Custard samples that were to die for.
Excellent service 😍
M. H.
Great burgers and all round service!
M. T.
Nearly died from the frozen cheesecake rolled in caramel and Gaytime bits super sweet. Tasted cheap and nasty.
K. L.
Very average burger, was a bit disappointed after there were some good reviews. There are so many burger places now, they need to step up the game just to be in it or will lose out.
F. G.
🤤🤤 best burger! Recommend the kavorka! And milkshakes are also the way to go!
B. M.
Amazing service and amazing food. Always a great touch when the bathrooms are spotless, and for bonus points they offered a little girl leaving some free ice cream. This places wins 5 starts and my heart xx
S. G.
Heavy duty coma inducing. Good if that's what you feel like on any given day.
W. Z.
First time been there! Great burgers with limitless soft drinks. Staffs here are friendly and nice. A good place to take a relax alone or chat with your friends.
s.
Pretty awesome burger place. Originally I thought it was a bit over priced but it was actually very reasonable after giving it a go. Awesome quality and good service. Will go back for a beer and burger soon.
C.
Big place with great selection of burgers and beers. Had the King burger which was super tasty with its mac n cheese croquette in the middle.
T. V.
Amazing burgers, super friendly staff, cool venue
What more do you need in a burger place?
J. T.
Simply the best burger in CBD area
s. c.
Friendly staff. Delicious food, best spot in all of Melbourne
A. B.
Returning to melbourne to find 8-bit disappeared, we set out to find the next annual burger feast. This is gonna be it, everything was amazing.
K. D. F.
This place was awesome, burgers were fresh and delicious! Cheesy potato gems were so good too very nostalgic!! Will be back :)
E. E.
Great burgers, consistently good and never walk out disappointed. Dani is an absolute legend. Everytime I visit his customer service skills are 0 to none. The only burger place to have a chear meal at. Started with one burger and went another 4 times in the space of 3 months. These guys truely deserve the title of royal 🙂🙂🙂🙂
c. s.
Loved it . Great food and nice sitting outdoor area . Helpful and friendly staff. We will be back for sure.
M. A.
Some of the best burgers in Melbourne.
S.
Hard not to give 5 stars when the staff are so nice. I really enjoyed their burgers, chips serving was quite decent and the concrete mixer special was amazing!
A. M.
Just had the burger here. Awsome service and fantastic food, must try 💯% recommendation🙂
O. K.
Easily in my top 3 favourite burgers ever here at Royal Stacks. Pretty consistent too as they're always loved by any newcomers I bring!
L. N. F.
Delicious halal burger, like food from heaven, the beef patty was juicy. I absolutely will try another menu!
W. B.
Would dock half a star for the cheese-fries as the cheese sauce is just dollops melted processed cheese, which ruins the fries. Cannot fault the burgers whatsoever.
A. B.
Fantastic burger, delicious patties, cheese, and bacon, cheesy fries were a bit lukewarm and a letdown though, but overall a great burger joint.
V. A.
The burgers, cheesy fries are scrumptious, there was a Mac and cheese burger at some point and WOW. This is a perfect option for a late night at the office.
F. Q.
Love their burgers and the shakes are amazing! 😍
m. T. O. T.
Fantastic food, large servings, lovely staff.
M. S.
Really good burgers and cider to wash it down. The oreo gelato is also amazing. Very friendly staff too!
C. H. (.
Decor places you right into the set of 90s classic film Hackers. The Burgers are amazing and the deserts will put you on your arse, they're delicious!
Y.
Great food everytime I go!
E. D.
I don't know that burgers could get any better! Amazing.
H. J.
Very tasty but mama Mia these burgers are very small
C. R.
Great burgers and shakes. Love it.
K. P. (.
I was interested in this burger joint for a while because of their enticing instagram page, and they did not disappoint! A little pricy I admit, but I think it’s worth it for the amazing quality of burgers that Royal Stacks has to offer! Definitely getting lunch here again.
D. T.
We had the pleasure of being served by Royal Stacks Executive Chef - Terri. The customer service and food was impeccable, certainly our favourite burger bar in Melbourne and certainly the cbd! Do not second guess Royal Stacks, a must for all burger enthusiasts.
C. C.
I can see why this place is rated #1. Not many burgers on menu, but the ones they have offer variety and are extremely tasty. We had “the king” and “kavorka” and both were excellent. Cheesy chips were great to. Lots of sauce. They were on the cooler/soggier side because of the sauce but that’s how I like them. Great atmosphere and service.
c. c.
Great atmosphere, ordered via phone for dine in was super quick to be served up, lovely staff. And the burgers wee awesome!
A. K.
Went there for dinner- really great burgers and sides. We got free ice cream:))
The seating was really nice, great for children and adults, wheelchair and pram accessible (with high chairs too.)
The meat is halal and can be cooked on separate grill and the staff were very, very extremely nice.
Chicken burgers and loaded potato gems were my favourite but everything is really really really really really good.
J. F.
No burger expert or anything but these guys make a great burger. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Definately heading back here in thr future!
B. P.
The burgers are amazing and there cheesy fries OMG. Definitely be goin back for more
F. O.
Great burger but the milkshake was something else!!! The venue has a street art wall for photos, great Melbourne style idea ;)
M. A. P.
Maybe you will find best burgers in other places but the convenient location, the milkshakes they offer and Mac & cheese burger deserves a visit at least.
j.
Loved everything about it will try again very soon!
Me and my partner got "The Mask Pack"
With a free mystery DVD!
We received our burgers in a box with the chips and drink, and a extra 2 little tubs of m&ms. It was extremely cute and I loved it.
We got a blue-ray DVD of four holidays and we are about to jump into bed and watch it now. 💖💖
V. F.
Always a wonderful experience with lovely staff and incredible food.
A. T.
Great for a messy greasy feed! Burger buns are soft, meats cooked well and there are heaps of sides to choose from
J. A.
Mouth watering burgers, cheese covered fries or potato gems and so much more! My partner and I first went here around New Years when they still had their Home Alone Christmas theme decorations up and loved it, the second time, that was all gone but the place looks amazing.
They have thermal imaging and tracking sheets for COVID and all surfaces are lined with an anti-bacterial/viral surface so nothing bad can stick. I haven’t done much research into this but I’ve seen a few venues with it now and I’m sure it wouldn’t be allowed to be sold if not effective so I felt safe.
Unfortunately, both times, my partner and I were so hungry and the food smelt and looked so amazing that I completely forgot to take any photos.
Also, order yourself a Margherita if not driving, they are STRONG in a good way :)
M. S.
First time here, ordered a double and a single stack combo best burgers ever. Everything in burger was delicious. I will be returning to try out other burgers.
D. D.
This place was packed! So seating at lunches and dinner might be tough. The place itself was nice. Had a very chill vibe. Staff were very friendly. I ordered the Prince Harry with a side of chips. The beef burger was topped with cheese, shallots, and horseradish. The first bite brought a smile to my face. The patty was juicy, horseradish, was not over powering, the lettuce was fresh and the bun was soft, fresh and amazing. I thought the sides were average. But the burger was great! Come here and enjoy!
K. Y.
It’s a very nice place with a good environment, quick service and good food!
M. N.
Definitely a cheat day affair, the burger comes really close to Shake Shack 😊
D. C.
In short: The best burgers in Melb hands down.
This place got recommended to me and I can't see myself ever giving the crown of best burgers to anyone else. The burgers taste so fresh and flavourful, not greasy at all. They have plenty of savoury sides that are icing on the cake. Also comes with a soft drinks bar, milkshake bar, and alcohol bar. For the taste, the price is amazing.
Recommended order:
-Single stack burger
-Small cheesy fries
-oreo milk shake
M. R.
Ok hear me out.... This place doesn't have a great vibe on a weekday lunchtime but you can't blame them for that when you're in the heart of the corporate area. But this place absolutely deserves 5 stars because the burgers and fries are the best in the city, the staff manage the crowds with well-oiled efficiency whilst maintaining a very friendly manner (and if you've been there on a Friday at lunchtime you'd agree with just how impressive that it). You might have to wait a while to place your order but I've never had to wait very long at all for my food.
Love the food here and that's why I keep coming back.
M. W.
Burger was great! I wasn't a fan of the cheese sauce on the fries and the concretes also left a bit much to be desired. Definitely worth going to if you like some tasty and unique burgers, but stick to plain fries and skip dessert.
G. “. C.
The king burger is extremely good, must try.
D. W.
Always fresh burgers. Great variety of burger options. Excellent pre event snack meeting point.
D. C.
Food is awesome, meals are huge. Best of all, the hand dryers in the wash room are basically jet engines. Get amongst it
M. M.
the food is delicious, chicken Burger is better than beef, staffs were friendly and the service was so good
M. M.
Great burgers! I love the mac and cheese croquette as well, so delicious.
S. M.
Pretty decent burgers and friendly staff , just feels a bit pricey thou ! The place has a pretty good vibe as you enter ,but the actual dinning area feels a bit incomplete!
J. B.
Came here for lunch today with a large queue to contend with. Menu is well varied with tons of tasty options. Service was efficient and friendly and the wait was no more than 10 mins which was decent given the huge volume of customers! Food was delicious with the Saint burger a highlight (comes with chipotle mayo and two patties). Only complaint fries were absolutely doused in salt. Some salt is nice but a bit overdone. All in, an excellent burger spot worth checking out!
L. M.
High quality ingredients are used to prepare both classic and experimental burger creations. The size of the burgers is enough for me to not need sides but I know some people think they're small. NBA playing inside the restaurant keeps you entertained while waiting, but that probably won't be long. Service is fast and friendly.
C. T.
High quality junk food that will hit the spot nicely.
R. W.
Good burger, good friends, good drink, good place, what else can i say?
T. R.
Friendly staff, great service and really good burgers.
L. P.
Good burgers, even better deserts. Cement mixers are a must!
D. A.
Really good food! Burgers are delicious, ordering online for 'dine in' was easy and our food came quickly.
S. S.
Went with my bro for a quick dinner. Staff were attentive and friendly, going above what I have come to expect from a burger joint. The burgers were great. I especially liked the thinner style of bun as I eat burger for the filling, not the bread! The beef pattie was excellent and they used whole rashers of bacon. I'll be back again if I'm in town.
V. N.
The place to be if you want the best burgers with a unique taste. If you're really hungry, grab a side of chili fries, they are probably the best I've personally tried in Melbourne. Service is quick and friendly and the venue is always clean. Love the lit up burger in the back, can get busy during lunch, so try to slip in early
v. t.
Good quick burger joint. Limited menu to the point and quick to serve. Decent choice for vegetarian patrons as well and place tends to get crowded during lunch time. however well managed queues and quick service with large enough place so don't need to blink an eye. If you are in the area and looking for a quick bite royal stacks can be your choice. No set menus available everything has to be ordered individualy as per needs
S. P.
Great tasting burger 🍔 and milkshakes!
B. S.
Amazing burgers! Great ambiance and the vertical garden is a nice touch.
K. H.
Staff were lovely, burgers very tasty, service quick. However, I ordered my burger with bacon (unsure of the extra charge), when I received it there was no bacon in it. Took it back, they said they would fix it. Got it back with a very small tail of a bacon rasher in it. By this time i didnt want to take the burger back again and just wanted to eat lunch. Disappointing outcome, particularly after they forgot the bacon to begin with
J. K.
Being new in town visiting a sick son in hospital emergency, the friendly and helpful staff at Royal Stacks are a breath of fresh air and picked me up no end... and the burgers and chips are great!
T. L. G.
Really fantastic burgers! Friendly staff and they were very good with intolerances. Also, the gluten free bun was the best gluten free bun I've ever had. Only suggestion I would make is maybe add some tables outside? Definitely recommend though
S. W.
This place is a great spot for quality burgers and custard. Quality ingredients with a thoughtfully planned menu make this for a good lunch stop that will please everyone. The custard is made daily, and tastes like it is fresh with fresh ingredients.
The staff and management could not be nicer too, capping this experience off as 5-stars.
A. G.
Fast service and friendly staff. Burger I had was really delicious and juicy. It was a perfet balance, not too fatty and not too lean. The sides were ok. Burger was the real winner. They have a large seating area and get quite busy in peak hours.
P. C. K.
Along with 8-bit and The Gem, one of my favourite places for a burger. Staff are delightful and friendly. The set up is really nice and really comfortable. It's not too far from Docklands so it's great for a quick bite before the footy. The only negative has been that they don't have the right info either on their website, the phone message or on the door when they are closed for public holidays or during the festive season. We've been caught standing outside on more than one occasion when it's closed even though by their info, they should be open.
D. S.
After travelling all day I just wanted a burger and fries so googled what was near my hotel. This place came up really close so I gave it a go. I had a king and fries and they really hit the spot. Delicious burger and they did take out so I could bring it back to my room and chill out. The fries were nice but the burger was a whole new level. If I don't go there again before I leave Melbourne I will be surprised.
S. F.
Best burger place in town. Big and juicy burger. We ordered Saint and this burger satisfied our craving for a good burger which was on for last few years.
Cheesy beef fries were good too.
Friendly staff.
A. D.
If you are looking for a tasty burger, this is it. Holy cow, the Saints burger is amazing. I also have a love affair with their potato gems. Crispy on the outside, warm, moist and soft on the inside, and perfectly salted...yum. Oh, and don't forget their milkshakes. These shakes are like american style milkshakes, super thick and extremely satifsfying. They are fast, courteous, and convenient. Go, I promise you won't regret it.
D. P.
Really good burgers. The King is a personal favourite with a beef patty and mac & cheese croquette. Onion rings are crunchy, flavourful and not too oily like other places.
r. r.
I ordered the kavorka burger with onion rings. I found the burger to be too salty for my liking, yet it was made well with good amounts of the different fillings. The onion rings were perfect, with a goldern crispy batter.
The staff were really friendly, the restaurant was clean and the food was made fast. I would go back another time, yet opt for a different burger.
A. T.
Holy burgers! 100% must try when In Melbourne!
Big, juicy and flavoursome!
Chicken, beef or meatless, it doesn't matter! You won't be dissapointed!
Not cheap but worth it once in awhile.
Staffed by amazing people.
P. S.
The BEST chicken burger I've ever had, called The Karvorka, you won't be disappointed.
G. B.
If you're a lover of cheese then royal stacks is a must for your burger needs.
L. B.
Great burger. Friendly service they said hello and goodbye. Easygoing vibe. Easy to order with non contact and they brought us free ice cream which was nice touch.
M. G.
Amazing menu of burgers, sides and shakes. Friendly staff and great music. So cheesy🧀! 😀
M. B.
Good selection of burgers and sides in a central location with ample seating. Burgers were delicious and juicy, not overcooked. Their frozen custard dessert selection is great as well. I don't have a bad word to say about my visit.
B. C.
This place is great, no doubt. Take your pick as they're all pretty tasty. If I had to pick for you, I'd go with the Saint. Double patties, jalapenos, a bit of kick! Do indulge with their fries as they're delicious! Enjoy.
M. D.
One of the best burger joints in Melbourne.
Welcomed by friendly staff as you walk in, you find a store that is very clean with plenty of seating and an overall great vibe.
The range of menu options out competes all other options in the area. The burger was cooked to order yet still served surprisingly fast. It tasted awesome!
Fresh bun.
Perfectly cooked meat. (Bacon included)
Melting cheese.
Also scored an ice cream (delicious). A perfect way to finish off a real treat of a meal.
M. H.
Cannot recommend this place enough! Had such a fantastic experience at royal stacks and the food was DELICIOUS! The owner/manager genuinely cares about the dining experience of all his patrons and goes out of his way to ensure that everyone is enjoying the food and having a great time! Cant wait to come back here when we are next in Melbourne :)
C. K.
Best hamburger in the Melbourne, side dishes also amazing!
F. H.
Really snazzy little burger joint. Food wasn't fast but it was delicious.
J. “.
Great burgers and frozen custard. Great customer service from the staff
Darko was very friendly and informative about the history of the company.
A. w.
I tried the Elizabeth burger..... smitten, I want for nothing more from a burger. The cheesy fries and “concrete” sundae are nice but better exist.
The atmosphere at lunch was good, busy but not to such an extent that it hinders with a classy design... a hipster industrial vibe going on.
Come for the burgers add sides if interested but don’t get greedy burger bars in Melbourne are expensive!!
K. A.
Was only in Melbourne for 3 days, but this has got to be some of the best eating I've done in a while... Wicked burgers with wicked service!
이.
Beer and burger.
Its best harmony.
All staffs are always super friendly :)
Cheers!
N. W.
Awesome shakes, great burgers and menu has plenty of options
M. K.
Yummy burgers at great prices. Also has a good selection of sides (cheese gems are great) and milkshakes! The Mac and cheese croutons were a little disappointing and not as cheesy as I hoped. Otherwise, would definitely recommend burger lovers and anyone looking for a quick bite a visit.
P. D.
Interesting menu options. A bit sloppy for my taste though.
J. H.
Amazing burgers filled with cheese. They don't do meal deals but you can order beer! Great place to go with friends with a hip atmosphere. Bathrooms are excellent too. Some of the food is heart attack inducing though.
A. L.
What a great burger place. Burgers were top quality and tasty. Will definately go again
C. S.
Pretty good burgers, lunchtime wait but ample seating any other time.
A. M.
Went to royal stacks last week. Its a lovely place with a great atmosphere. However, what can I say about the burgers. They were mouth wateringly delicious. I was blown away by the taste of the burger, be it beef or chicken. Their service is impeccable and all staff is extremely friendly. Me and the wife are heading back tonight for another bite. Highly recommend
F. G.
Nice burger, ate here on National Cheeseburger day. Got cheesy fries and $6 Cheeseburger.
R. J. R.
Very good burger, not dry, but not so sloppy it makes a mess, good flavour. If the burger was 10% bigger I would have been more satisfied but would have also felt stuffed so probably saved me from myself ...had the McDowell & Chilli Cheese Fries LG & Thanos Shake... the staff were awesome, fun and very patient with everyone...Well done all round team
K. C.
Very nice. I got the double burger with jalapeños and chicken instead of beef, and cheese fries. Both delish. Quick service and very friendly staff. Great spot to dip into if you're after a reliable tasty burger. Recommended
M. R.
We attended Royal Stacks on our work lunch break as a group of 4. Plenty of seating as the venue is very large and extends back very far. We were instantly greeted by two girls near he service area who were extremely helpful for myself who had never eaten their before.
Food service was very fast from the time of ordering and was presented great. The burgers themselves looked clean and delicious and I must say they lived up to the expectation.
We will be going back for sure. I only wish I could remember the names of the staff working this day as they were incredibly helpful and attentive.
C. B.
Very nice food. Single stack burger where they don't put a heap of sauce on it to ruin it (like other places) . They gave us additional sauce (mustard/tomato) you could use on the burger or chips. Burger was juicy and nicely sized. Had live basketball on. And layout was nicely designed. Highly recommend.

Another great experience at CBD royal stacks! Great service. Never had a bad burger from here.
This time I got the current special- the dutchess which was absolutely amazing! Consisting of two super crunchy fried chicken peices, sweet butter pickles and a delicious spicy Cajun mayo all on a soft, fresh potato bun! Such a killer burger which i cannot wait to return for before it disappears! Highly recommend royal stacks for a great burger option!
G. D.
Great fresh burger and potato gems!
G. D.
Tasty food. Good drinks. I'll have to come back to try the desserts
A. T.
Great burgers and shakes - gems with cheese sauce to die for. After about 3 times in one week it gets a little old...seriously though had many of the burgers and they are always mouth watering awesome. Even when busy they move through the orders pretty quick so wait times are not an issue - its one of my regular "go to" burger joints.
L. T.
Burgers were amazing and fries delicious. The winner overall for me was the staff, they were so frienfly and even gave great recommendations for our time in Melbourne! A must if in Melbourne.
r. a.
Friendly staff, amazing food, recommended!
I tried The king which is a slice of mac&chese and beef 👌🏽
A. B.
Best burgers ever! ❤️
Amazing customer service, delicious meals and deserts.
Definitely recommend 💗
L. C.
Awesome vibe and decor, tasty food! Has a cool little curtain divider to head into the dining area. Will come again
C. F.
My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the place! Very welcoming staff, gorgeous clean and unique interior! Food was delicious! Will definitely be going here again :)
D. C.
Service is amazing, food is tasty, drinks are refillable, atmosphere was quality, what more could you want from a sweet burger joint?
K. R.
Dine in- the restaurant is fun. Staff are really friendly, killer menu. We managed to get out of there without ordering dessert but I still have that bucket thing on my mind.
I had the chicken burger. Sauce and cheese were super tasty. And the chicken was high qual. My partner had the GF burger and the bun was decent (for being gluten free).
Y. L.
Good, but burger is a little bit cold
j. h.
The place was really nice, you can spend a great time and have a conversation with your friends or family. I liked because is very warm and quiet. Tonight was my first time in this restaurant and I had the opportunity to try potatoes with cheese and the taste and size was perfect.
P. E. N.
Solid burg, with a solid shake and bit o cream. It’s close to being perfect, but in a world with Five Guys you’ve got to really come out with a ring ding dinger of a burg to get that fifth star from me. Chips were adequately seasoned, and as I looked around I could see that other customers were also pleased with their meals. I heard one customer say, “Hey Greg, this is a great burger!”. I would happily return again. Thank you
T. “. M.
A popular burger place. The location is not quite in the center of the Melbourne's late night foot traffic, so a few blocks walk but it is worth it. A good selection of burgers. Very enjoyable food. Friendly staff. A bustling atmosphere with a decent turnover of patrons.
L. M.
Absolutely delicious burgers and superb service! We came here for mother's Day lunch and the staff were so beautifully kind to my two young children, they even gave them a free ice cream each. We will definitely be back!
M. B.
The burgers are excellent. I’m sure you’ll read about their lovely creations in many a review. What I want to talk about is customer service!
EVERY... I mean EVERY staff member (I was waited on by 4 different people) was highly observant, asked sincere questions and took an undoubtedly genuine interest in my experience. I have not experienced service at this standard. Thanks to all the staff. Absolute champions.
F. M.
Love the burgers and love the chocolate mixed ice cream with oreo. The first choice when l am in city😍
S.
Best burger hand down their cheese on their burgers are to die for. Why haven’t they open up on other place in Australia. So sad that you can only have this in Melbourne. Must try if you love burgers.
C. T.
Burgers are so juicy and filling
The oozy Cheese
Crispy Bacon
Mac and Cheese🤤🤤🤤🤤
Keep always wanting to try a Vegetarian or Vegan option to keep it “healthy” but I just can’t go past all that beautiful Beef and Bacon and Cheese. Wish Royal Stacks could open a store in Adelaide.
F. T.
You need a snack? Go there
D. C.
Got to hand it to the team, I won't mention names but a certain delivery service messed up my order and didn't take responsibility for it, Royal Stacks went over and above to help me get it sorted, and the food was fantastic when it arrived. Thanks so much guys, top service and great burgers!
M. T.
The best burger place in Melbourne !!
a.
Delightful place when you walk in, almost feels like a diner as it's so homey. The burgers are priced extremely affordable and have amazing flavour to follow. Definitely recommend a frozen custard mixer too
Z. I.
Honestly this the best burger joint in Melbourne ! I can’t express how nice it is, it’s so fresh. The burgers are so good that you would want to go for another one ! The staff are amazing great service especially the manager. I promise they won’t disappoint 😋
M. G.
Best burgers in Melbourne's CBD, really cool staff, don't hesitate, you've just found a good burger diner ;)
A. B.
My housemates and I went to Royal Stacks for lunch on the Queen's Birthday public holiday and we received impeccable service. We were attended by two team members who were friendly and accommodating and made our experience a great one. Not only were the staff amazing and super friendly, but the food was delicious. By far my favourite burger joint in Melbourne and would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a tasty burger and a great place to sit down to eat.
K.
I always order from Royal Stacks because in my opinion they make the BEST BURGERS in Melbourne! I’ve only ever ordered through Deliveroo (due to COVID) but every single time the burgers are fresh, delicious and gone in under 10 minutes. Tonight I even received some mini M&M’s with my order! It doesn’t get better than Royal Stacks, i’ve never been to a burger restuarant that has matched the outstanding quality of not only the food, but the customer service. Love your work guys! THANKYOU!
J. R.
Nice Burguers
S. K.
They make excellent burgers. I want to give this place more stars because the service was good too, but I'm just not that into burgers and fries. If you are, I'd totally recommend this place.
A. K.
Absolutely amazing service, the staff is so happy and bubbly! The king burger had a mac and cheese surprise! Easy to get to and make sure you try their amazing milkshakes! 5 stars, will be coming back.. more then once!!
N. V.
Quality burgers at a really reasonable price on super soft buns!
B. B.
I wanna give 5 stars because the burgers were great, however small. Probably less than half the size of a grill'd burger.
I also got the chili beef and cheesy fries and boy were they covered in cheese sauce. Way too much for my liking!
I will return to try a few more burgers and fries before I decide if grill'd or royal stacks will get my business.
M. H.
Had the queen bee burger as it was the vegetarian option along with some cheese potato gems. Food was pretty good. Would return for the good service though. Place was packed on a Monday night and the owner came and dropped free ice cream to all three of us in our table.
A. E.
Great burger, we ordered the queen bee and cheesemite fries. The buns are a bit sweet but very soft. Tasty patties and fries. The sauce on the fries got solid rather quickly but still gooey and nice.
J. F.
Effing good burger. Jalapeños and the sauce were amazing and the meat was cooked perfectly and flavoured great an d wasn't overdone with bacon. Only problem was the size. I like to feel sick after I eat A burger this tasty and I would've needed about three of them. They should have a supersize menu. Other than that it was one of the best burgers I've had in melbourne and I'm a pretty negative person so it's saying something. Next time I'm getting two
C. D.
I am from Sydney and this is one of the best burger restaurants ive ever been in, the atmosphere is very relaxing and the burgers are just perfect! The staff are very friendly and the pricing is just right. The burgers have plenty of meat and the texture is juicy. I love it!
R. E. H.
One of the best burger joints I've ever been to. The food (which was yummy) was just the half of it. Cannot believe the customer service. They were so friendly and want around giving all customers free ice cream! Yum!
E. A.
It is claimed to be the best burger cafe around. I wouldn't say the otherwise from what I've seen until now. Stuff is nice. The kavorka burger was nice. With the burger you should also try different sauces; chipotle sauces must be tried.
Very nice place if you would like to visit with a group of friends.
M. M.
Super delicious burgers that are very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend if you are in the mood for American style burgers. Frozen custard is delicious but has huge serving sizes!
J. W.
Cute little burger place in the city. Good staff, good vibe. 4th birthday celebration do they were dressed up as McDowell's from the movie "Coming to America". Store facade was also dressed.. Pretty cool.
Down point. No wifi... Come on guys
L.
Royal Stacks is well known for high quality big burgers. The cost creeps up a little but I think it's definitely worth it. On the odd occasion the potato gems can be a little cooler than they should be but it's not a huge deal. Epic milkshakes pad out a great meal.
R.
Visited the Collins st store, had the most amazing burger and frozen custard! Without a doubt the best burger meal I’ve ever had and nothing but the most friendly of staff. 10/10 would recommend!
E. L.
I had the Bacon Bacon burger and it's extremely good. There's double patties and bacon topped with your standard pickles and onions etc. It's pretty filling for just the burger. However, the price point is on the high side considering its just a burger without any meal.
A. C.
What a fabulous burger, delicious. Even sell wine, which was a bonus, Spencer served us, he was delightful, gave us plenty of time to choose, and lots of advice. Spencer you are a credit to the brand . (We are not his Mum and Dad ) . From overseas who appreciate good food and service . Thumbs up for us 👍👍👍👍
S. F.
Awesome staff, forgot to charge for a milkshake and ended up giving it to us on the house even though I offered to pay. Meat cooked perfectly, high quality ingredients and very good value.
Best milkshake I've had in Melbourne.
C. B.
Great burger place. The staff were very friendly, and the King burger was amazing - you could tell how fresh the home-made bun was. And as we were leaving, we got some ice-cream on the house. Can't argue with that!
B.
I was blown away at how good their food is. You'd think it's a bit pricey at first but once you start eating, all you can think about is how exquisite the taste is.
M. S.
Best burghers in Melbourne.. and by far!!
Massive serves so make sure you're hungry before going
R. J.
Yummy burger clean spacious. Great for kids.
L. S.
A fancier take on fast food burgers with a decent selection of food and is licenced just in case you feel like a sneaky beer. I feel like the food. For me the only slight negative was that the seating still feels very much like a fast food outlet. Give it a go..
A. G. P. M.
I went on July 10th Wednesday 2019 and I chose the onion rings.
It was delicious and the price was reasonable
I might the hamburger is good, the next time than i will visit Royal, I'll ask for the Bacon Bacon Burguer, it was made my mouth water!
d. s.
Clean environment. Friendly staff. Burgers are amazing shame the same can't be said about the onion rings. Definitely worth a visit especially as they have beer on tap. Burger and beer, what more could you ask for?
N. R.
The burgers were absolutely amazing! The inside is also cool as well. Very modern and bright. An excellent place to enjoy a modern day burger.
S. S.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who helped us decide which "stack" to get. The fried macaroni cutlet was decadent to the extreme and the prince Charles burger with 100% grass fed beef with cheese and horseradish literally melted in my mouth. All against an interesting backdrop of a wall filled with live green fronds of every shade of green!!!
N. S.
Chips are soo good, burgers are light (single stack) and not greasy and taste delicious.
Milk shake is so yummy and i am not usually a fan of milk shakes.
I just hope they make kids options
C. H.
Great burgers and fantastic customer service always lovely
D. N.
Juicy flavour filled burgers, perfect every time, it's the closest thing to shake shack.
A. T.
Royal Stacks is the best burger joint in melbourne hands down. In & out are overrated royal stacks is simply original and everything about it is just on point. Amazing burgers, fries, dessert and the service is amazing!!
I might add the theme of the restaurant is quite homely too 😄😄😄
J. M.
Epic entrance and decorations. Unfortunately I find their burgers quite plain. For something as large as this site is you would expect burgers that would rival the likes of fergburger... However this place only just beats McDonald's and is on par with Grill'd. Ask this aside this opinion may be of no use to you so go do your own research. It's not bad enough to say avoid at all cost so give them a go!
J. H.
The burgers are pretty good but this place is way over-priced for the product, especially compared to the small burger joint called 'New York Burger' in the '480 Collins Food Plaza' next door. Staff are friendly here and service is good, however there is usually a long queue here at lunch times as all the fat cats come down from the Rialto Towers just opposite.
K. K. M.
One of my favorite burgers in the CBD. Staff is always friendly. It can be difficult to find a table at peak times and there's often a queue. The burgers are worth the wait though.
M. R.
The burgers were really good and the service was great! I was a bit disappointed with the cheese fries. It was just a couple the cheese slices slapped onto of the fries after they were put into the container. Ridiculous amount of cheese on the top layer of fries with nothing on those in the middle or the bottom.
D. J.
Bacon Bacon Burger and some cheesey vegemite fries, pretty freakin' awesome!
I.
Fantastic! Can't wait to go back.
M. B.
These have got to be the absolute best burgers in Melbourne! My favourite is a single stack plus bacon, with a vanilla shake and cheesy fries. I've gone to heaven! If you go for lunch, get there right on 12 or you may have to wait in a queue.
M. B.
French fries like straw - dry & tasteless - and I'm not a fan of the actual venue which is severely lacking in light & atmosphere. Burgers are bloody good tho & the service friendly.
J. W.
These dudes were great! There's alot of burgurs places in the CBD but royal stacks is truly the best I've been to so far. Went there for a work thing, at first we were disappointed cause we thought it was a pancake place, but then had the first bite of the burgers and were like 'holy beef patty Batman!' The fries were sick as, had the normal and loaded. Then they even gave us ice cream cause it was our mates bday which was greatly appreciated and tasted amazeballs!
Staff are super friendly, we were served by these two hot guys who helped us with our food and beer selections and took or photos for us.
Thanks again guys, we will be back :)
J. G.
Oh my god. Absolutely golden food. I only wish I could have eaten more.
It's on the higher end of the price spectrum for burgers, but you 100% get your money's worth. Other higher end/artisan burger places should definitely watch out for these guys, because at the current quality these guys produce, competitors are gonna get trampled.
Highlight: Cheesy Potato Gems.
Lowlight: Not many cheap options.
S. B.
Man, strong recommendation. Delicious burger, juicy, meaty patty, great flavours, great fries. Good ice creams too! If you're nearby and you like burgers, eat here.
B. D. T.
Burgers are quite possibly the best in Melbourne.
Beer is reasonably prices, wine selection is a little limited but that's not the focus here.
Tennis on the TV, cheesy potato gems slathered in uncomfortably yellow but delicious cheese. If Melbournes burger scene has a benchmark, this is it
F. G.
Don't know why I have eaten here before, because it is AWESOME!!! The burgers tasted so fresh and juicy. Highly recommend this place
V. E.
Nice beef burger, veggie was average. Curious to try the other beef burgers
C. P.
Ive been a few times now and honestly this place is hit and miss in terms of quality, flavour, and value. If you consider on price alone it's not great; Everything is priced individually so expect to pay over $20 (basic burger, chips and drink) for what is slightly better quality vs mainstream fast food.
E. J.
Great burger and onion rings!
E.
Great burger joint in the CBD, I had the single stack and found it quite nice, burger was well cooked and quite tasty. Burgers here decently priced (cheaper than Grill'd) so can't go wrong with pricing here!
Customer service is great here, they even greet you when you enter and all around staff are very friendly.
R. W.
Look, the Saint was a really good burger. Exciting from the outset, and one tremendous crashing chord of flavour to finish. Inside me is a god, a glowing lump of masticated material that descended from the heavens, onto the tray, and into my mouth. 10/10, congratulations on your burger store.
P. H.
Fantastic burgers. Great atmosphere
J. N. C.
Good quality burgers all the time. Refillable drinks perfect! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good music, great place to watch NBA and have a good meal.
L. R.
What a burger! Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
F. B.
Burgers are good but a bit on the small side. Chips were a bit meh in my opinion.
The staff seems friendly and attentive. The environment is very dark though
J. M.
Had the double stack burger, juicy, tasty, nice sauce and pickles. Went with kids and staff were friendly & welcoming. Free Pac-Man, icy cold beers, the frozen custards tasty and our cookie dough addict enjoyed her dough.
F. H. C.
I've become a regular... the hamburgers are tasty, beef patties are natural, fresh and juicy. Service is amazing! this THE BEST burger in Melbourne
C. B.
Great burger, cheese fries didn't add much value, stunning onion rings, sauces didn't need to be in plastic packaging, hard to open. But really nice staff that complemented my accent and made me feel welcome.
J. P.
The good: plenty of seating (for a burger joint) fast service, awesome service, outside seating.
Not so good: the music was a bit loud.
I had a King and my daughter had the Prince Harry (I think) with a side of onion rings. The King was tasty but to much sauce and wasnt as big as I thought it would be. But was tasty and I did enjoy it. Onion rings were crumbed.. not battered but still ok. It was a good burger but not great.. Will have to try something else that doesnt have a mac n cheese patty in it haha.. still worth a go.
A. C.
Burgers were awesome
Cheesy fries amazing
And service with a friendly smile
What more could you ask for
J. B.
Love this place. Nice range of Burgers, decadent sides and crazy milkshakes. When I first had the Peanut Butter Jelly Time shake I had to double check to make sure I was still alive because I was sure I'd died.
J. E.
Great atmosphere with awesome staff! Burgers were phenomenal and the sides were delicious although very filling. Would recommend to american style burger lovers!
A. Z.
The best burger joint in CBD! great menu and quick service with friendly staff. if you are fancy a burger any time of the day, here is the best place to go.
A. K.
You go to Royal Stacks when you want a burger where you can taste the fatty delicousness all throughout. Really good no-nonsense burgers that do what they are really well.
Wasn't as impressed with their thickshake/milkshake offering, but that's also because I've never really found anywhere in Australia that lives up to what I grew up with in the States. Not a bad go at it though.
Definitely worth a go for a good, solid burger done well. I got the Bacon Bacon and a concrete mixer with oreo. Solid prices as well. Nothing too overwhelming for a burger. Could get away solidly full for less than $20, which isn't something you can say about a lot of places in Melbourne.
D. H.
Dropped in late Friday and had a delicious Prince Harry Burger. Impressive. Nice juicy patty. Fresh bun sauces and lettuce
D. O.
Great location, much larger then I was expecting. Burgers are great but the Snickers concrete was even better. Took me back 20 years ago having DQ Snickers induced brain freezes in the Cascade Mountains after a hard days hiking.
J. H.
Hands down best veggie burger I've had! That patty was outta control, friendly staff too (Collins street)
L. O.
This place is a little expensive considering it is more fast food than fine dining, but that doesn't stop it from being entirely worth it.
Being a semi-regular customer of the Chatswood NSW store, I was very happy to see the same high quality food.
The meals are reasonably sized and if you enjoy cheese, the cheese fries or cheese potato gems are a must.
C. B.
The burgers are fantastic, albeit a little on the small side however the one thing that let's this place down is the restaurant 101's. No napkins, no salt on the chips, no salt shakers available, no straws, and I couldn't eat the cheese fries with the extra large toothpick so I went looking for a fork, no luck either.
N. L.
Consistently good burgers, good desserts (the cheesecake on a stick is a must try), good pricing, and good people behind the counter and in the kitchen. Also found out they do gluten free buns. Love it.
E. K.
Prince harry burger was great.
I've also had the kavorka, very nice fried chicken.
Snickers mixer is the bestest. I want to try the Oreo mixer next time.
A.
One of the most fresh and tasty burgers and fries in Melbourne!
B. M.
Burgers are quite the buzz again with a recent resurgence; the array of burger joints popping up has positively raised the quality through competition. Royal Stacks Burgers make excellent burgers & the shakes are OK. Staff on my visit were excellent.
N. C.
Excellent place to go for burgers, highly recommend! They're single stack is just the right size if you're not into huge burgers, or they have plenty of enormous options if that's your kinda burger!
L. H.
Excellent food! I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Royal Stacks. Saved my life during these hard days
C. B.
Our experience at Royal Stack was not up to our expectations, (top rated on google maps), fries were merely warm and the burgers were nothing special. We did enjoy the milkshake though.
O. P.
Melbourne can officially be noted as one of the best burger towns. Royal stacks are good, very good. Service from staff was exceptional. Can't wait to get back there.
S. P.
I just ordered from here for the first time and this was one of the best burgers I've had. I got the Single Stack with extra bacon and extra cheese. Super tasty
L. P.
My best burgers spot in town ! I love everything : their burgers are really tasty (+1 for the one with jalapeños), cheese fries are awesome (small portion for two is enough ! ) and milkshakes are fresh and original (Ferrero is the best!).
K. N.
Straight up good burgers. Just greasy enough to make eating them feel like a good treat without the gross feeling afterwards. I wish they were in Brisbane!
R. W.
Ranks in my top 3 in the city. The frozen custard and the milkshakes are the main cherry on top. Havent tried any of their fancy burgers, but I keep going back for the single and double stacks.
a.
Great burger place on Collins and awesome service (Terry, I love ya!). Strongly recommended!
P. L.
Great burger, a real suprise was the tomatoes & lettuce, fresh & full of flavour. They are often overlooked but Royal Stacks obviously source terrific produce.
J. M.
Bacon bacon burger was great! Good size, great texture, no complaints!
Great atmosphere too. My, the queue was huge.
Ziggys may finally be under threat.... Nah, just kidding!
S. v.
Good burgers. Very nice. Amoungst the best you'll get in these parts. I've tried a lot of burgers, they're up there.
B. C.
What better place to have a bite after exhausting shopping your local health stors. Delicious morsels and bun filled beauties, plus naughty extras.
The Saint is imo the best burger on the menu. Get into it.
A. S.
The burgers are great, I love the miss Elizabeth burger, but they are overpriced for what is basically fast food. Basically by the time you get a burger chips and a drink your hitting the $20 mark which is a bit steep.
t.
Nice burgers and nice sides. I really enjoy the cheesy gems. I absolutely love the cheese here, in both the burgers and on the gems! Shakes are good too.
P. B.
Burgers are yum with a good vareity of options! They have tvs too which play sports, depending whats on at the time such as basketball, socxer etc. The place gets very busy at lunch but they get through the orders pretty quick and have a good system, with those vibrating beepers. also have an app so you can order ahead of time
J. L.
Best burgers around in my opinion! I always get The Saint. Make sure you only get a small soft drink because you get free refills.
F. G.
Good if you like American style burgers and cheese. The onion rings are fantastic with the cheese sauce. Only downside is you might find the sizing of the chips lacking for the expense
C. S.
I grab takeaway from here regularly. The food is a very american style, which I'm sure is quite unhealthy but the burgers are really tasty. I just wish it didn't take so long to wait for the food to be served.
B. P.
Bacon bacon, very nice, try to warm/toast the bun a bit more for stability and crunch. Sides are fairly small portions.
Chicken burger lacked flavour but chicken was nice.
B. C.
Amazing burgers. Kavorka is killing it. Food is pricy and and in small portions but really delicious. Its not value for money or cheap its but if you are looking for delicious burgers and milkshakes is the best place to go.
M. S.
Not a bad place at all-- a great place to relax. A little overpriced though. Adult burgers alone cost $9.90-$14.40. Nothing else for mains on the menu but just burgers. 3.5 out of 5 stars.
D. R.
The first few times I went a few years ago the burgers were sensational. My more recent burger within the last month was good, but not at the original standard.
M. W.
Yet to be sold on Royal Stacks. An obvious rip off of Shake Shack in NYC but struggles to meet the same flavour expectations. Feels like a franchise set up too quickly and too keen to imitate in a food scene as fickle with new trends as Melbourne is. The burgers are good, but not memorable, and one is left wondering whether anyone in Melbourne asked for another burger joint with few distinguishing features.
m. g.
Great burger place in the city. The King burger is amazing with a Mac and cheese croquette I'm it. The cheesey potato gems are amazing - may require a few days at the gym to burn it off but worth it! We were given some free ice cream samples - the Nutella and ferrero Rocher flavours were delicious!
H. K.
For people who are looking for HALAAL opinions. This place is Halaal but you need to tell them to cook the patties on a halaal plate.
Other than that, the food is great! As expected from Royal Stacks! The atmosphere is great too. The staff is friendly as well. A bit pricey but once in a while it's ok to go all out.
W.
It’s ok to try, but I’d say it’s a bit greasy and overly salted chips.
The cheesy chips are gross, it’s just plastic cheese melted into a way too salty disgusting “sauce”.
Burgers are ok. But not my fave.
C. C.
I ordered Bacon bacon, I had too much expectation..
M. B.
I always have time for Royal Stacks, I fell in love with the Grand Trailer Park Taverna and I was very excited to try this when it opened and it didn't let me down.
The King was a welcome change from the regular burger joint with a mac and cheese pattie. Now my favourite burger is always the GTPT's Atomic, but this is a close second.
But by far my favorite part of a visit to Royal Stacks is their concrete mixers. Peanut butter and Oreo perfectly blended into a burger companion that I eat with the burger rather than after. The salty peanut butter with Oreo sweetness always enhances the burger flavour. Making me want one now just thinking about it.
C. D.
Went their with family and it's bomb.I had the kavorka with extra pickles and it is so gooooood!!!!Fries are a must because it's it's crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and is like the most perfect fries you'll ever have
R. B.
I really love the burger there. The fries with cheese is awesome, although if you are trying to lose weight you shouldn't indulge in it. My husband and I are frequent customers.
m.
Wouldn't come back in a hurry. Personally think the size of the burgers & the patty in particular are on the smaller side for the price, taste is good without being spectacular, and the fries were overcooked and too crunchy.
