I ordered the Hot Chick - The fried chicken had a great crunch to it, it was seasoned well, moist on the inside, but the two downfalls of the burger were 1. It started dripping from first bite which eventually made the burger too soggy to hold, and 2. There was a strange flavour in it which I predict may have been from the Spicy Island sauce (could be wrong). It was pretty big as you can see so at least you get what you pay for. The Cheesy B - This burger was their only smashed patty burger on the menu so that’s what I ordered. The burger itself was pretty small and flat. Someone more hungry than me would be disappointed. The patty had beautiful crispy edges that we all know and love about smashed patties, the ingredients were simple, it wasn’t greasy, but it didn’t pack a whole punch. Even their Rude Sauce I couldn’t really identify. It wasn’t bad but I’d probably add more fillings next time to make it special. Large Fries - The fries were regular thick cut fries and had a crispy, golden batter. We would’ve LOVED them if they were seasoned with chicken salt instead of regular salt. I’m not sure if that’s something you can ask for but if it is, I’d recommend. The portion was also great for two people. I’d recommend giving them a try, I’ve definitely been to worse. They have a huge menu so there’s literally something for everyone. I’d try them again if I was in the area or wanted a late feed because they open till 10pm. I believe their burgers cater to the ‘more is more’ population rather than to those just wanting a simple burger like me. If you’re in that category, pay them a visit! They are open through lockdown so support them by ordering takeaway!

My favourite burger place in Melbourne. Have been here multiple times, tried the beef burgers which is usually my go-to, but had the hot-chick chicken burger recently and damn, mind blown. Crispy coated chicken with juicy flavoursome sauce. Also love their house-made jalapeno poppers and potato cakes. Tasty, crafty, consistent.

Good service and plenty of space for seating, large range of burgers and sides on offer. Whilst the burgers were of a good proportion, they weren't overly flavorful. We had a very long wait and the place was more than half empty. The chicken and vegan burgers looked and tasted more enticing than the beef - which was sub par. The fries were also a let down and were served cold! I won't be in any rush to come back here.

Love this place their burgers are so creative and they have so much available on their menu. They also have a decent amount of vegetarian and vegan options which I think is awesome. Only downside is the buns, they are very flimsy and thin and will become soggy and break down quite quickly. They fell apart too quickly for me to take a photo. Regardless of this I would definitely come back!

Wish I had a photo but we ate while it was hot and it was so delicious I stayed in the yummy moment. Next time I’ll try to take a photo. Seriously great burger. I had the Rude Boy. Perfect flavours, great quality beef. Loved how the bun part on bottom was wider so it didn’t disintegrate. My partner had the vegan banana one and said it was incredible. Clearly a lot of thought and passion has gone into creating these. Excellent choices for vegans too (that aren’t just the stock standard mock meat). Sides were perfect - fries and jalapeño poppers. We will definitely order again. Plus they use a online booking service where they do delivery themselves which we liked (so money not going to some multi conglomerate food delivery service). Highly recommend.

Terrific range of burgers, including mega vegan options, with the plain vanilla rude Boy with half sauce my favourite.... perfect burger char, well constructed. Can only be bettered if the tomatoes weren't chilled... They will have much better flavour in the burger as a result, and the inside of the bun a slight toast. Licensed as well. Highly recommended.

Rude Boy has been a very solid burger place in Brunswick West for several years now. The burgers have always been very very good, and they have great vegan alternatives. They also offer 5 dollar beers too, which makes your meal even more enjoyable! Staff have always been pretty good too. Would be a 5 star review, but they changed their chips and used to offer free sauces that you could self-serve with, but now they charge a dollar or so for these. Don't get me wrong, the chips are still good, but they used to be AMAZING because they had this delicious batter on them which made them extra crispy, but now they're just regular thick cut chips. Their milkshakes are good too but they're very sweet and used to be bigger. Nonetheless, would easily recommend Rude Boy for a quality feed in your local area. Their burgers really stand out because they do some really awesome and smart flavour combinations that really sing. Will definitely be coming back again, just as I have been since they opened over 5 years ago!

Visited 8-4-18 My husband had wanted to go to rude boy burger ever since his boss told him about the fantastic huge burgers. AMAZING, DELICIOUS, FRESH. From the moment that walked in we were greated we a smile and a welcome. (Most people don't treat us like this as we ride up on our Harley and wear leather jackets with vests covered in patches.) My husband ordered the Big Popper burger, it was fresh delicious full of flavor, they didn't skimp on ingredients it was full. I ordered the Spicy Fried Chicken Tenders, they were spicy deliciously fresh juicy & definitely not dry, they were absolutely the best spicy chicken tenders that I've ever had, the staff were so happy to accommodate what ever we wanted. We also had to share Cheese & Bacon gravy loaded fries & a Tim Tam slam shake. We left there so full and so very satisfied with everything. Everything we ordered was amazing and delicious. Thank you for your amazing customer service and deliciously delectable food. We will be back and recommend to anyone who is looking for amazing food which is great value for money. I wish there was more ☆ I could give.

Burger was delicious, went for the Canadian. Sides also top notch! Fried chicken with that maple glaze I'd add to a death row meal. Lost a point for the place feeling like you're inside a bbq. Not sure if an issue with the extractor fans but it was pretty smoky in there!

I enjoyed a double Wagyu burger.The bun was crisp and fresh as was the rest of the ingredients. The patties were excellent, i chewed it slowlly to get the juices out of it. I sat outside emjoying the morning peace. Service was reasonable, too laid (way too laid back). I recommend Rude Boy Burger for it's patties. It's a ten minute walk from Melville Rd where tram route 58 runs. Will review Cookhouse Burger of Essendon next. Be well.😃😃

It's not often I feel satisfied from a burger restaurant. They all seem to blend in to eachother. However... Rude Boy Burger... bloody fantastic! Awesome! Had the double down and jalapeno popper burger. Onion rings were bomb, really crunchy (even after they cooled down) and not greasy at all. Fried chicken burger was out of this world, again not even slightly greasy and wasn't loaded with heaps of salt. Vegan shake was great, really thick and tasty, lots of vegan options. The guy was super friendly when I said I'm not great with spice, he offered to tone down the habanero sauce for me.

This is the most delicious place that I have ever had the luxury of ordering and eating a burger and meal from. It had quite fast service for how busy and popular it was, and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and easy going and I felt as though they expressed to me how much of a pleasure it was for them to be serving me. They also have awesome milkshakes that you cannot go here without ordering one too. Eating here before you die is an ABSOLUTE MUST.

Nice little Burger place. Burgers were good but the real winner was the loaded fries and shakes!! Ridiculously good. Found it quite expensive though considering the location and quality. The store is very small too and they definitely have a ventilation problem... Can't imagine how hot it would get on a summer day let alone a cold rain night (what I encountered). This place was an old favourite when I lived in Brunswick Melbourne. So because I'm revisiting Melbourne I had to go back and get my Big Popper burger. Just as delicious and spicy (jalapenos) as I remember. Chips were crunchy and tasty as well, washing it all down with a delicious Sample Ale.

They make nice tasty burgers. Frequent visitor but Tuesdays 2 for 1 deal is a great promotion. Looking forward to trying something different next time and writing on your toilet wall again, but next time I need to bring my permanent marker.

Came here after spying it from our bus, after collecting a couple of mates we went in to find delicious food, cheap drinks and quick, obliging service. My partner is doing keto and the Rude Boy staff were happy to modify a dish for him. My only regret is that I only had enough space for one burger! I had the Rude Boy original and it was tasty, perfectly cooked and presented so the burger is easy to pick up and put in your face! Would happily go again when we visit Melbourne next.

I had a craving for good burgers... Felt like a change from my local fare.... Took a driver over to West Brunswick and had the big burger and the cheesy bacon fries... They were sensational... Not really convinced the were worth the 45 minute drive from Prahran but if I was in the area again I would definitely give them another go. I will warn you that they were very filling and after eating them I needed a nap to sleep off the carb overload.

Whenever I walk here to order something, I don’t make it home before starting on my burger. They are always so tasty. I just need to remember to stop ordering the loaded fries (don’t get me wrong loads of people like them they just aren’t for me).

We had the vegan Beyond Rude "cheeseburger", and the vegan loaded chilli cheese fries.... Burger was really tasty and had that familiar flame grilled flavour. 7/10.... could have used a little more sauce if im being picky. The loaded fries were just awful, tomato on it tasted like microwaved canned tomatoes with zero flavour, chunky carrot, bland avocado "guacamole", two slices ?? of cheese on top (not at all melted 😓💔) and really lacking flavour. 3/10. Also really disappointed to see they had no glasses but instead were using disposable plastic coated paper cups for customers 😞 such a waste and not environmentally conscious at all (despite their cutlery and boxes all being cardboard) seems contradictory. Would return to try the other vegan burgers on a Thursday again though :)

From the freindly welcoming upon arrival, the explanation of menu items and the taste the burger and fries almost left me speechless. The crispy and slightly spicy batter on the chicken was something I havent experienced in any burger shop to date, the cheesy bacon fries were addictive and the wagyu meat pattie cooked to my liking. If you're feeling hungry I seriously suggest you try the beast of bourbon burger. Top notch guys Keep it up.

Disappointing when you turn up to a venue before close time but they start packing/cleaning up around you.. even opening the door on a chilly 10 degree night, maybe suggesting that we eat up & leave... although their uber drivers were continually flowing through the door. I cannot remember the name of the burger I had, however it was a little dry & flavoring just wasn’t there. The loaded fries on the other hand... WOW! Would definitely return for the fries.

We had to make a rule in my household to only eat here the morning after a night out to try and save ourselves from buying this every second day. Great inclusion of different flavours in their burgers and chips. The kind of food you will find yourself craving any moment of the day. Slowly working our way down the menu, but favourites are the fried chicken parma burger, the bacon & cheese loaded fries (the sprinkle of spring onions on top seem to make this one!) and the praline crunch milkshake. The only fault is the generous sizes and flavours mean you could never dream of finishing a burger, chips and drink from here in one sitting. I've been here many times, absolutely phenomenal burgers and chips! I recommend the DBC (Double Bacon and Cheese) with a small fries and garlic aioli. They have some other delicious options like "Ghetto fries" and a tasty "Potato Gem" dish which I forget the name of - definitely worth waiting for if they're busy! Staff are always friendly and they do phone orders!
