Great place to visit with a wide variety of food. There’s korean food, dim sum and burgers just to name a few. The seating is outdoors though so do expect the weather to affect your food. Overall setting is very nice and gives off good vibes. Hygiene is great with sanitiser available at every restaurant. Proof of vaccination is also required.

Was pretty good, place was very clean, great atmosphere. My only criticism was that tables could be placed away from the fans, while I appreciated the cool air, my food went cold very quickly. Inside the Old Shanghai Asian food court is the most satisfying burger & chicken stalls Perth has to offer, Hood Burger. Buns are fresh, patties are moist and not fatty, fries are crispy and seasoned nicely, double cheese is essential to make sure you feel like you didn't miss out on any calories! Deep fried chicken strips are crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. The blue cheese sauce and queso sauces are great for dipping your chicken, chips and hell the burgers in. There is also a Bar in the food court that serves tap beer and most drinks at reasonable prices to keep you hydrated!

Great variety of predominately different asian and some western (great burgers). We went to 5 different shops and all were very fast service, it was on the quieter side (sunday night). Bar available if you are eating in and has a few different brews to commonly available in normal bars. Overall a great place to go eat with plenty of variety. Fun atmosphere when there are heaps there and it is heated for those cold nights.

Now that it has undergone small renovations inside... The Old Shanghai is a great place to enjoy a wide selection of food, including Chinese, Malaysian, Indian or Hong Kong.. The servings are always plenty anx the cuisine is well presented as seen in my photographs...!! It has a wonderful atmosphere, especially on the weekends & week nights.. It is quiet during the days for those looking for a quiet place to have lunch... The bar is open from 12pm... You can enjoy a great selection of beers on tap, or a drink of spirits from behind the bar... The service is friendly and the floor staff are wonderful...!! A great place to enjoy with a large group of people, or an intimate experience if you're on a date... It has outside seating and clean toilet facilities inside, there is also a wheel chair accessible toilet..

A friend is a regular, I kinda started to like it more and more. the food options are good. my husband normally goes for the burger. My go-to is the hongkong dimsum. It's just annoying that some drunkards are hanging there too even as early as 8pm on a Friday..ruined our dinner having to deal with these people. I hope it'll feel more safe and peaceful when dining in.

This is my go-to place for pre-work dim sum and late night fried chicken. I’ve been coming here for 20 years with my family and it will always be one of my favourite places. And if you exit through the back, you can explore the hidden alleys of Chung Wah Lane and all it’s murals.

Loved the environment there. Warm, clean, kewl decor, and an excellent variety of authentic healthy Asian cuisine. Old Shangha is NOT like the fast food courts you Ordinarily see. No no no. Closer to the real thing IN China with all of the classic favourites there too. I most injoyed the Tai noodle bar - just at the front, because of their home made noodles in Bone Broth which they have a choice of... and felt much healthier than I walked in...and hope THAT will be your experience too.

01/2020: Always the place in Northbridge to go for a good, value for money, feed. I have been going here for years and have never had food that was not excellent. Edit 18/12/2021: Dropped in tonight while in Northbridge and found that my favorite "Taste of Asia" at the front had closed. One of the other stalls has closed as well. Really disappointed. This is a real shame but the other stalls and Hood Burger are still good value for money. They were quiet for a Saturday night and I hope this is not going to continue to go down hill. I have reduced the rating to four because my favourite has closed.

Love the Thai food there. Its the first restaurant on the left side. Love their Tom Yum soup & Pad Thai. Their quantity is huge. Love love it! But the Indian restaurant there isn’t really good. I went to Old Shanghai Foodhall for a dim sum lunch. There was good variety & selection of food for one to purchase, e.g. Hamburgers, Malaysian, Chinese, Indian, Chinese food & Dim Sum. The place was well kept, clean & plenty of seats for diners. Accessibilty facilities are available.

Great spot to get your Asian food fix. I tend to prefer going for the freshly made Dim Sun, but the location is good. It's kept clean by the hard working roving cleaning staff, each hawker served quickly and politely and there's plenty of seating if you avoid the weekend lunch rush. I try to visit often.

A great selection of Asian and western cuisines in the venue. Plenty of options to choose from. Hong Kong Dim sum or Chinese BBQ, Malaysian and Indian or Korean and Thai foods etc, all international foods that you can think of are all in one place. You can even get western burger and Tarbush- Lebanese cuisines there as well! Plus, Bar is an absolute bonus!! Grab a pine of beer or a glass of wine to go with your meal It’s just so fulfilling. We always get a little bit of everything here and there to share with friends and family on every weekend. Good quality foods in a decent price, with friendly service and wonderful atmosphere in the venue. It’s definitely an amazing place to visit and we have always enjoyed our time in old shanghai Northbridge.

I'm always very happy with the great range on offer , I'd say there's something for every taste . To be honest the only reason I didn't go 5 star is that the choice made that day ( a fresh burger place) was quite disappointing on two points . Old Shanghai well worth a go .

Old Shanghai has been one of the most reliable places for me & my friends for 30 years. Always a solution for any situation, I'd recommend anyone try an option from here most are reliable and tasty . In fact the only reason I gave 4 stars was because I went for a unique burger deal that wasn't quite right. All in all I'd totally recommend giving the Old Shanghai a go.

An iconic Perth Foodhall. A vibrant place. Never any problems there. Clean, a great selection of international food. I like the Singapore food stall. It has been there for decades and owned by the same operators. I have never been sick from eating there. Always tasty and cheap/ reasonable. It has a halal certificate so the meat has no blood.

Old Shanghai is Northbridge's long time go to international food hall. It's been there for years and with good reason; the food and service is excellent. There's a choice of Al fresco or in house dining, a wide choice of cuisine, it's fully licensed and it's always clean. The food is ample and cheap and there's an added bonus. It's located in the heart of the Northbridge nightlife district. For lunch, dinner or supper, you can't go past oOld Shanghai. Well you could I suppose but you're crazy if you do.

Place has been cleaned up significantly since last going there, they have renovated most of the shops however kept the same charm as how it use to be. A couple of the stores are empty making the place feel a little dull but there is an operating bar and the venues is licensed to sell and nicely you can order meals from any of the small resturants and still get a drink. Makes for quite a loud and vibrant Friday night venue with some interesting cuisine, however I found some of the places were a little less than authentic and sold fairly average food. The pricing was however quite cheap and you got what you would expect. I wouldn't not recommend taking more than 4 people as it might be tough to get seating in Thursday Friday Saturday but any other day is usually quiet chill. The bathroons have been updated and felt a lot nicer than you would expect for a food court of sorts. The whole place backs up onto China town and you can walk through the venue and out the rear towards the city if need be. The place has a real outdoors vibe and probably would be cool in winter. 1 star off for the food quality.

ive been going to the chinese shop at the entry for years. always good quality and amazing value. im not sure about Marys review talking about the food not being fresh. if you order dishes from the bain marie then obviously it isnt made fresh to order (thats the whole concept of a bain marie i guess) but you see the chef constantly preparing the dishes and adding to it regularly. They do have made to order dishes that are made fresh as the order is placed, but i always go with the ready made ones and enjoy them. pork balls, fish, green chicken curry, bbq pork always been great for me.

OK, it's not everybody's cup of tea, but it is one of the better foodcourts in the area, especially if you are looking for something different to eat, with lots of seating and open though the weekend.
