The best toasties I’ve ever had , the Biscoff custard tarts are to die for and the biscoff cronut is right there with the tarts. Shakes are pretty darn good and so is the service and decor. Great little place to visit and will definitely be returning

Absolutely loved my experience here, the coffee is delicious and the dishes are amazing 😍 The chef puts a delicate touch on all of his dishes, I loved the Avocado with whipped goats cheese & heirloom tomatoes on sourdough. Very pretty dish and it was so fresh and light for a breakky dish! Perfect for me 😊 I loved the fries, the special seasoning is so different and tasty! I thoroughly enjoyed the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Burger, the owner and chef take great pride and care in their dishes. Highly recommend the Insta famous Cheesecake Pavlova 😍 Pretty as a picture and the flavours coming from all the different elements were incredible, from the zesty lemon curd to the cheesecake mousse & fresh passionfruit. Every element is delicately placed on the dish.

I had heard a lot about Cheatday for a while now and finally made the trip. Well exceeded my expectations and made for a great lunch. The place it's self has an awesome vide and its gym themed decor is great! The burgers and sides are excellent and the desserts are even better. I had the Austrian Oak with a bunch of sides and had a loaded Caramilk soft serve that was amazing and I can't even begin to describe how good the cheese cake pavlova was, definitely a must try. Can't wait to come back for a second round at Cheatday!

Cool setup and good vibes inside with the whole gym theme and it being cheat day. Staff were friendly in welcoming us and giving us recommendations. For a business centred around a pavlova cheesecake, Cheatday Sydney sure make a mean burger. Modelled around the fitness (fallacy) that consuming tonnes of calories in a single day can shock your metabolism into action, this cafe is aimed at gym-types taking a break from structured eating programs. You’ll find it located at what owner George Mavridis calls “the golden triangle” between Mortdale, Oatley and Peakhurst. While this burger joint is deep in suburbia, it faces onto a light industrial area; though Mavridis is quick to admit the local tradies still head to the old-fashioned sandwich shop next door for their burgers. Cheatday Sydney attracts the office worker crowd, plus a mixed bag of locals on weekends, so popular they were recently extended to include Sunday trade. The Original Cheesecake Pavlova ($14) is based upon the passionfruit cheesecake that George’s mum, Ellie, used to make at home. Her cheesecake spun into a business – Ellie’s Artisan Cheesecakes – and a market stall at the Peakhurst Foodies Markets. By this time, George’s brother (and chef) Angelo Mavridis had made a few modern-day renovations, and the cheesecake pavlova was born. While it definitely has been designed with Instagram in mind, it eats as well as it looks with a surprisingly light texture and plenty of tangy tartness. I'm a fan. According to George, a café can’t live on cheesecake pavlova alone – even if you throw in a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake Pavlova ($14) version (that was way too hectic for me). So when George opened Cheatday Sydney a year and a half ago, he went back to his brother Angelo and together they came up with a range of burgers to round out the menu at the gym-themed space. The Big Mav ($19.90) – takes on the litigious fast food giant’s Big Mac – with double beef, double cheese, pickles, lettuce and special sauce on a triple layer sesame seed-covered bun. It’s an improvement on the original if you ask me, keeping its shape throughout the eating experience using much less sweet potato buns. You also don’t get that nasty oil-slick the stewed Maccas patties leave on your tongue. Seasoned Fries ($4/add on) are also oil-free, with salty-sweet steak seasoning to keep you reaching for more. The Big Mav impresses me more than the Philly Cheesesteak Burger ($18.90), though that's not due to any lack of quality. Chef Angelo has opted to include two cuts of high-quality beef – Angus beefsteak and smoked brisket – and kept them thick-cut so you can really taste them. The resulting burger is beefy and smoky; though a bit of a stretch from the original’s thinly sliced rib-eye browned on the grill then laid over with slices of provolone and American cheese. Here they use a Danish harvati cheese that I found a bit bland, making me wish for a chilli-based top note somewhere in the middle of all the green peppers and grilled onions. With a big coffee window onto Lorraine Street, fuelling up on caffeine is another big part of the Cheatday experience. Mavridis is proud to be serving Little Marionette, roasted in my own Inner West stomping ground. It performs well in a Latte ($3.80) with subtle hints of liquorice. I like it better than the Strawberry Thickshake ($10) served in a shaker bottle, that, for an extra tenner, you can keep. Maybe it's one for actual gym people…

One of my local favourites, desserts here are always amazing and the burgers just keep getting better and better, thanks to tbc for the arranging this night with some of the app's biggest users. Cheatday began trialling smashing patties so I added one and of course bacon. Brisket was perfectly cooked and just melted, the patty, couldn't ask for better, it was crusty and with perfectly melted cheese. Lettuce was nice and crunchy and the BBQ sauce was on point, had some cheeseburger spring rolls and fries. Dessert was a footlong cheesecake pavlova and it was divine, I have lost count how many pavs I have had from here, if you haven't been, come for the burgers and breakfast but stay for the pav.

What a random little spot in the industrial backyard of Peakhurst. Everything here is delicious. The Pavlova cheesecake, if you think it only looks good and that's it - then you are WRONG. The cake TASTES as good as it looks. It is heavenly.

Ordered food here a couple of times. The burgers are always great. Wait time for food is reasonable and service is not too bad, we were friendly welcomed upon entry. There are so many things on the menu that look enticing. The food can be quite rich/heavy with a decent amount of sauce so it’s not something you can eat too regularly.

Staff were friendly, tables were clean, coffee was good. I didn't have any food, but everything else was pretty good. I went mid-morning on a weekday. Weird thing was that the coffee was served in takeaway cups even though we dined in. Maybe a Covid thing? I would give 4.5 stars for that experience if it was possible.

We live in riverwood and our so glad we found this spot. We tried their milkshakes, burgers, chips and the famous cheesecake and found it amazing. Their customer service was so prompt. They also take the social distancing and cleanliness rules very seriously which we appreciated. Do yourself a favor and try out this place no matter how far you live from peakhurst. Its worth it!!!! We will be coming back regularly now as there is so much more to try in their menu 🙂

First time eating here and the food was amazing. Basically a burger bar but it is done very well. I had the Philly Cheesesteak burger and it was heavenly! The burger are around $14 but seasoned fries were an extra $4. For this it was a very generous serve. My son had a chicken burger which was huge as well. He devoured it as per usual. The highlight was the $10 Chocolate Thick Shake. Best Thick Shake l have ever had. Well worth the visit. Recommended.

Food was awesome (small mav and quadrasaeus) and caramilk loaded ice cream was epic. It did take a little while for food/drinks to come out as they were busy (i.e. coffee came out after we got our burgers). The burgers don't come in single serving meals (i.e. have to buy side of fries and drink separately) but they do have group meals (feeds 2-4 people). Lastly, the quadrasaeus (Philly-cheese steak) could have been made better if it was on a roll rather than burger bun but otherwise the flavours were on point! All in all, i would recommend this place to friends/family and will be back to try more of the menu!

This cafe is so cool. I just love it... coffee is great, food is amazing. Like eating at a fine dining restaurant but better cause it’s casual. I hear the chef had won a gold award for first place and was one of the pork stars a while back. Anyway the gym theme is extra cool and the murals are something special one mural dedicated to the owners dad and uncles. Two brothers own it and it’s pretty good.

Trained nearby for about 2 months, came here almost religiously for their coffees, tried a few of their foods too. Absolutely delicious, definitely recommend trying their brisket. Their burgers are top notch and I greatly enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafè, it was always a pleasure to eat there. You should totally add the brisket toastie to the breakfast menu, that was a killer breakfast. Their staff are hard working and kind, really gives the place a home-y feel, especially cause theyre doing it out of of their own heart not for just the business side of it. Finally their drinks and coffee are so addictive youre bound to come back for more. Definitely high quality coffee and im not big on protein shakes but theirs was solid, especially loved the design of the shaker cups. All in all, 5/5, 10/10, a great cafè that i highly recommend you give everything they offer a try.
