Hands down the best hand made chips ever! Chicken wings were delicious, especially the one with house made spicy BBQ sauce. Don't even get me started on the burgers, the beef patties were so soft and juicy, I devoured my burger so quickly that I forgot to take a photo, luckily my friend took a photo of hers lol. Highly recommend this place!!

Loving the juicy, med rare beef patties topped with an array of assortments, super crispy chicken wings smothered in delicious hot sauce style with a twist sauce. This visit, I got the baconactor on a lettuce bun and it was all my favourite things - beef, bacon, cheese, bacon jam and peanut butter. It is my new favourite burger 👌🏼👌🏼 And as delicious and filling that was, I can’t go past the chicken wings. An absolute must have and the sauce is phenomenal! Chips are also super amazing! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

This is a small cafe in Redfern that serves up delicious food. We got the Milkbar Original, Chicken Burger and the Mushroom Mac and Cheese. What we noticed the most is the bun. Yum! The bun is delicious, so soft and perfect for a burger. The Chicken Burger was delicious and quite big, I couldn’t finish the entire burger. The Milkbar Original was also delicious. Next time I’ll call ahead and order now that I know they get quite busy. Very close to the train station so it’s an easy commute, I didn’t see any parking closeby but there’s street parking across the street

Amazing burgers. I wasn't paying proper attention when I ordered and got the 'Gunsmoke' which has Doritos on it. A burger with Doritos is something I would never have ordered intentionally but, I must say it worked, it was a great burger. This place is well worth the visit 👍

In my top 3 pantheon of best burger joints in Sydney. Have never had a burger here that I didn't fall deeply and madly in love with 🍔❤. And that isn't even including their chips and shakes which are also sublime 👌👌👌

I came for the burger of the week: Chicken n Cheese. For $18.50 the thing is a behemoth and I was offered free fries or a beer to accompany it. I chose the fries and I'm glad I did. They were absolutely phenomenal. Light and pillowy as if they had been injected by air in the best possible way. They had a great crispness to them and paired so well with the aioli. However the good stopped there. The chicken was chewy in some spots and lacked flavor in others. The Cheetos cheese patty hardened after a minute and was no longer good, and on top of that they put on bacon which I had specifically asked to be left off. The bun is really good though.

We only got to order starters here as we didn't realise the time and they were closing soon, but omg, I will be back for the burgers! The starters were amazing! We got chips, jalapeno poppers and spicy chicken wings. None of them disappointed. Definitely a great spot for a cheeky mid week dinner!

Visited here a few times recently, the burgers have all been great. Red like the cheeseburger while all of Gunsmoke, Old Boy and Chicken Bacon burgers are super delicious. The Death by Donut burger is a flavour explosion, I really like it and need to try it again when I’m prepared for the mix of sweet, cheese and juicy meat. I’m also a fan of the fries. Cafe ish also have Sydney’s best selection of shakes. Red is always happy to come here because of this and the fact there are several donuts on offer is a bonus. Highly recommend! They currently have a great breakfast burger and coffee deal between 11am-midday.

Good burgers and great chips. Fabulous chips! Best chips. Hand cut and beer battered (I think). Ah-maz-ing. The burgers are ok. They have their ratios really well sorted. Everything works well in each burger. You can really get the sense that they have out a lot of effort into how the flavours work together and how the whole item will taste when taken as a single item. I liked this. However, the patty didn't have as mush flavour as I have experiences from other burger places. There's plenty of competition these days for your burger dollars, so there's no reason to have a sub par meal. I'll go back for sure, but with a greater keenness for their milkshakes and donuts rather than the burgers. Those chips though. Go for those.

Sooo good. Bit on the pricy side admittedly, but food is very much worth it!! Burgers were great, even the pickles were delicious and i usually dont eat them 🤣 Patty was cooked well and flavours worked together great (i was surprised i liked my friends baconator even since it had peanut butter in it!!) Wow what can I say. The burgers we're exception quality and the shakes we're absolutely amazing! My only regret is thinking I could eat both as well as fries and onion rings!? Also of note are the chips! I don't know what the batter is but they're fat better than any pub or restaurant chip I've ever had!

The loaded fries here are SENSATIONAL. Best in Sydney. A real cheat-day treat. The fries are so crispy and golden they're more like wedges, and the mac and cheese is so creamy and cheesy and smooth with the most amazing chili kick which just ties the dish together. 10/10!

Onion rings were delicious, I had a Donkey Kong shake and it looked crazy but it only tasted ok. I had the Big Mick which is their Big Mac, it really needed a better secret sauce. My partner had the Gunsmoke burger which she really enjoyed. Overall it was a bit pricey.

Had my last dinner in Australia here. Ordered the Mac beefy, oreo and vanilla donuts, and a oreo's acid milkshake. All tasted fantastic. Last night my dear brother and I stopped by The Milk Bar after dinner for some dessert. I read this place was great with doughnuts, shakes, and burgers. I was not disappointed. My brother got the special super shake - it came with a literal ice cream bar on top! - I got the Oreo acid supershake. Both were delicious... I would prefer my shakes thicker which is why I took a star off. We also got large fries which were interestingly tasty and enjoyable! Came with ketchup and garlic aioli. I will certainly be back to try more doughnuts and their burgers. We were well taken care of by the kind lady who took our order and brought our food - she gave excellent service!

Came past today with a mad craving for burgers and was not disappointed. I ordered the Milkbar Original, the pattie was cooked to perfection, soft, tender and melted in my mouth. Bun was on point, onion rings were super crispy and the bbq sauce and aioli complemented it perfectly. The chips are beyond good, I'm not sure how they make them but never change. I love this place, i’ve honestly always had delicious burgers every time I’ve visited! the chips are always freshly cooked and crispy (they are fried twice and seem to have a light crisp coating) i got the gunsmoke burger as recommended by one of the guys who worked there and it did not disappoint! It has jalapenos, doritos, a beef patty and bacon 🥓 My friend got the pork crackle chicken thigh burger with the buffalo sauce and it was sooo good, chicken was cooked to perfection and was juicy and crispy! They weren’t stingy with the chicken like other burger places within the vicinity 👌🏼 super shake was yum too, i do wish they used a glass cup as opposed to plastic and maybe a metal straw but thats the only thing i can think of that could be improved! Thank you for being awesome and consistently delicious!! My favorite burger place in the area 💓

Stopped by the during the National Burger Day. Ordered the two most popular burgers they have on the menu - Micky Mack and the Barnsville Burger. I was astonished that the taste is amazing especially the Micky Mac.

This place is fun, the burgers are good value. It wasn't very busy, the food took a tad longer than I would expect fast food to arrive. Probably, because there was only one cook tonight. The "oomph" was missing from the burgers, they tasted a bit too bland for me. The aoli used for chip dipping sauce and for the burgers was too sweet, kind of like something cheaper out of the bottle. Other than that, I will be back.

Straight up delicious food, but sadly every time I order delivery an item is missing. It's also usually a very long wait between ordering and the food showing up, which means a quick zap in the microwave is needed on arrival. Wow, oh wow. i hadn't been here for quite some time and it would seem that new management had taken over. The old owners were great and had some fantastic quick eats on the menu BUT, the new owner has made it better! I got chatting to Daniel and found out that he's owned MilkBar for 11 months now. He did it hard at first due to covid-19 but it's getting better S L O W L Y. Do yourself a favour and drop in here for a great feed. There's great burger deals and MilkBar has two great beers on TAP! I DEFINITELY recommend his fried chicken also. Soooo good. Definitely going back. Parking is a bit of a hassle but well worth visiting.

I've been having one their burgers every now & then, and I've never been disappointed. You might wait a little longer than most burger joints for your meal, but they're not a fast food shop. If you've got an appetite for meat, this will hit the spot. My favourite is the Bad Boy Baconater.

An interesting enough burger joint that also serves doughnuts and shakes. I'd hardly say the burgers are to die for - I find the meat somewhat flavourless and dry and the sauces a little overwhelming - but in general the food is fine. I do recommend highly the loaded fries, which are delicious. The doughnuts they serve have been hit-and-miss (some have been gorgeously chew, and sublime, others only mediocre) but the milkshakes have been consistently decent. I'd rate Milk Bar 3/5 but my girlfriend enjoys it more than I so the score jumped a point.

Having asked the friendly owner what he recommended, I was served with a huge (and very tasty) burger topped with a jalapeño popper and stuffed with all kinds of tasty sauces, meat and salad. It was cooked to perfection and the delicious homemade bun an extra bonus. Alongside that, I had the Snickers milkshake, which was almost a meal in itself. And also spectacularly delicious. The loaded fries were also great. My only problem was trying to finish everything - there was so much food for the price that my stomach wasn't up to the task. Heartily recommended.

This place is amazing and fantastic customer service!! We went in a large group and tried a few different burgers and they were all soooo good. Highly recommend getting a side of chips and a milkshake too. The chips are perfectly crisp and with real potato and loved the milkshake variety. Had the Creme Brulee donut which was a top notch delight! They are fried on site daily. The texture was light and airy with a smooth and delicous custard centre. We had the Donkey Kong super-shake - I could really taste the peanut butter base for shake. Service was fast and the staff were so helpful in ensuring our needs were met. Thought I have a go at this redfern burher joint..ordered original house burger, was good..buns not too dry, Patty was tasty and moist..also ordered beer battered onion rings, delicious light non oily rings. The supershake was mediocre as I don't taste the "pow" I get from drinking american dinner thick shakes...finally the peanut choc donut was also mediocre, not too sweet though but bites chewey and doughwey which points to uncook potentially. All in all I wud come back again for the burgs!

Burgers were very good but we went there for the milkshakes thinking it would be an old fashioned experience with metal cups and were given plastic cups with lids and plastic straws even though we were clearly dining in. There were metal cups on the shelf too. Too much environmental waste!

Took my 4 year old here after a big day in the city. Enormous milkshakes and generous, beer battered fries. Friendly service and good menu. EFTPOS only can be offputting to some, but it's clearly displayed at the counter and doesn't bother me. Burger menu and specials board show a wide variety of interesting choices, didn't have time to try any though.

They have a bunch of ideas that they don't execute well. The burgers (I've had the chicken and the original) are too overstuffed (even compressed), too much sauce (soggy), too overcooked. Even their homemade buns are burnt not toasted. Some other review complained about tiny plates - and they are, for a burger this messy. Even the double fried chips are better in concept than reality. They still managed to be soggy. Some were even undercooked as a result of the batter sticking them all together in one big clot. The doughnut was the best thing there but still wasn't great. They used lindt chocolate, which seems nice but they used chocolate, not icing or ganache, which means it falls off as soon as you bite it.

We had the fried chicken to start, it was juicy and crunchy and very fresh. The donut burger was incredible, the donut was so soft and the cinnamon sugar went really well with the savoury on the burger. The chips are also next level!! Will definitely be back!
