We were a table of 9 and everyone finished their meal with satisfaction. You will see us again. Keep the chef and staff. Friendly, efficient and polite. I need to add to this, some meals have changed, but the service and quality has not. You should go and enjoy a great meal and excellent service.

Our gender reveal at home was set to be cancelled due to Covid restrictions on gatherings and i emailed Michelle to see if by any chance there was a space we could book so we could still have our gender reveal, with only 5 days notice!!
Michelle emailed me back straight away offering their Alfresco space. She answered all of my questions promptly so everything was all ready for our function.
On the day, the space was stunning! The staff were all so accommodating. We were able to bring our decorations and they were happy for us to pop our gender reveal balloon (leaving confetti everywhere!).
The service and food was fantastic and each one of the staff members were so friendly.
I'd like to thank everyone at the beach Hotel for helping our gender reveal still go ahead and for making the entire process so easy at such a stressful time! Michelle saved the day thats for sure!
Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful the space was and how delicious the food was.
We will definitely be recommending the beach Hotel to anyone that is wanting to book in their next function!

The quarter of a plate of leafy greens with a few strands of red onion is a joke. No tomato, cucumber,just to make up a basic salad. No dressing.
Meals come with over cooked chips, no veg offered.
You get better value for money and better quality at Cafe Primo.
I would have thought an up market hotel should have been better.

Finished my drink well before my food and could have gone another but wasnt asked until I almost finished my meal. Bit disappointing. Overall a good experience but could be better.

Furnishings were tastefull, our waitress was great, I missed her name but very professional, even a late request to omit chips was granted as dads hatred for potatoes runs deep being whacked over the head as a boy if he didnt finish his mashed potato. Prices were very competitive to even being on the cheap side. Would recommend and return.

I booked a table one week prior to this event and was amazed to see a really nice area set aside for my family to enjoy a really well prepared menu.

Lovely setting of big windows, lots of natural light & no sounds of the pokies next door! Mum had salt & pepper squid which she said was one of the best she's had!

Hubster felt that the squid was mediocre but what let the side down was the state of the toilets; the newly renovated premises are stylish and clean but the toilets reeked and needed a good bleaching. Overall, very good but please renovate the toilets.

C. G.I've eaten here several times now and the food has always been brilliant (the charcoaled flavour that goes through the steak is amaze!!). The service is always exceptional and as a person of hospitality from way back, I've got me some pretty high standards too! Your booking system needs to be looked at however. "Technical issues" with the online booking, then an answering machine that tells ME to call back later.. not so great. Overall though, I love it and we keep coming back!

S.2. We had a large booking for my neices 16th on Tuesday night at 6:30, the young girls who served us did a great job. They were organised, friendly and efficient. The food came out all together and in great time. The food was delicious, fresh and hot there was not a single complaint from our party. The Kitchen did an awesome job to pull such a large group order together so seamlessly. Only negative...it was very warm in there, there didn't seem to be any air-conditioning.

J. M.Absolutely love this place, always tidy, good food and a good variety of beer on tap. I'm here almost every month catching up with mates. If i had to criticize anything it would be keeping the live music volume down in the outside area, because as soon as it starts you simply can't hear anything else. I personally love live music, but as soon as it starts you have no where to go if you want to just chill out with mates and have drinks. Aside from that, ill continue to be a regular here.

T. H.Staff not very welcoming when asked if they had a table for 2 because we didn't have a booking, place wasn't that busy! Took ages to get our first drink and an hour & a half to get our food! My partners scotch fillet steak was well done (asked for medium) & my snapper was pretty small and lucky I ordered a side dish of veggies as there wasn't much on my plate..$8 more though! Very noisy too & expensive for what you get. All up with drinks it came to $122.40 for the 2 of us! So disappointing as the place is lovely with so much potential!

The food prices are good and the wine prices excellent (we even ordered another bottle). I ordered the beach burger which was quite different with the battered pickle, but overall nice juicy burger and very tasty. The rabbit ragu was thoroughly enjoyed by one member, the snapper outstanding (not a scrap left on the plate) also the southern fried chicken was devoured and lastly the main special of lamb was superb. It's not often you go out and all members enjoyed their meals, so keep up the good work (wish you were closer to town)

K.We had our wedding reception here a few days ago which mostly had to be planned from overseas due to us flying over for the event. We had about fifty guests in the function room for a 2 course meal with cake cutting and wine on the table.
Firstly I would like to confirm that I am a visitor in Australia, I have been here for just over a year in total. But I am in perhaps a less informed position when it comes to local prices.
The good:
The price seemed good compared to other venues in the area while researching online. I found the function room itself to be very attractive, with a small stage and dance floor fit for purpose as well as a pleasant balcony area for smokers. The food was really great, as all my guests agreed, and I enjoyed some of the best salmon I have ever eaten. The night was definitely a success overall and I am happy we chose the venue.
The bad:
The hidden costs, upon sitting down with the representative of the venue we were informed of more costs we were not initially made aware of. It was $45 for two courses per person, we were told it would cost $5.00 extra per person just to be able to choose their meals between an option of two. Out of a varied menu we understood was the full selection, we were told that we had to pick two choices from starters and mains to suit absolutely everyone. I understand their reasons but would have appreciated more clarity before we were effectively locked in. Further it was $25.00 per bottle of their cheapest wine, or a $10.00 'corking' charge per bottle we brought in. Which seemed steep on top of the $400 we had already paid to merely book the place.
There is also the matter of the decorations, the images on the website and the language uses gave us reason to believe that all the chairs would be decorated with coloured linen to our specifications, making the room really beautiful. However again, when we sat down with the representative the day before she informed us that this would cost a further large amount of money, and was with a separate company who may not have time to do it. Needless to say my bride to be was quite disappointed by this.
Finally we found the representative did her job, but we did feel she was a little condescending and not particularly friendly considering the celebration. We also gave explicit instructions on the table positioning to her, which she did not follow. When we came in the night before to add last touches we had to help move the tables ourselves, which kindly another member of staff helped us with.
As a result, the actual night itself was great. But the actual sale side and hidden costs quickly became more and more unreasonable. We may not have chosen this place had we been aware of these costs and I really dislike the underhanded way we were told last minute.
T. S.First time to the Beach Hotel tonight with a group of 11 adults and kids. Service was fast and friendly. All meals came out Hot, quick and were all delicious. 11 happy diners that will definitely return.
J. S.We attended an engagement party here a couple of days ago. The venue was up stairs and very neat and clean. The staff are friendly but the beer selection a little limited for my liking. There isn't a lift I could see but the staircase has a rail. The parking is ample and you can always park at the vets.

Had someone cut in the long line while ordering food and pointed this out to the guy taking orders. Was told it's not his job to keep track of that... Maybe some training needed?

Sixteen of us had dinner on Saturday night to celebrate my wife’s birthday. After enjoying beautiful meals delivered by very pleasant staff, we were told just minutes after clearing our plates that if we wanted desert we would need to rush them through as the restaurant was closing. We had no prior warning when booking or arriving that their restaurant closes at 9pm! (Its a large pub on a Saturday night)
Talk about a moral killer!
We were told we could go to the pokie room or front bar, but as we had our 16 year old with us, he could not gain entry to either area. The hotel staff did an amazing job of keeping us very pleased and the hotel management did a stellar job of ensuring 16 of us will not return any time soon!

He was spending money, and he was composed..Isn't that the business model of a bar ? Seriously. It's not a first class restaurant in front bar. Let up a bit on the dress code in there, yeah ? Other than that...great food, great entertainment and friendly locals.
