I stayed at the grand chancellor for two weeks of hotel quarantine after returning from overseas. I was so impressed with how well we were looked after compared to friends who had been at other hotels interstate. We were very comfortable and well fed!
R. T.
As a covid hotel its very good, very well run, food is ok, very large portions, very caring and helpful,
B. R.
The staff are so polite and courteous. The room is clean especially during COVID. Amenities offered in the room are A+. Food is delicious!! Will definitely visit again.

The best place to Stay and not only during the quarantine time but even though for a Holiday. You can find the best Service, Meals and tidy modern Rooms, its great to stay here.
It makes my two weeks quarantine time easy and almost the best time for a while. If you don't come here, you will miss something

To those of you Googling this hotel on the bus from airport after hearing that the Grand Chancellor Hotel is your quarantine location - don’t worry it truly is a great place! I’m writing this review on day 10/15.
Food is good and consistent (with massive generous servings). The staff go above and beyond to make your quarantine experience as great as it could be. Friday “quarantinis,” yoga and most importantly great communication make the experience all the much better.
J. K.
Completed 2 weeks quarantine at the hotel.
But if you are sitting on a bus outside the hotel for quarantine and started googling what the hotel is like you have lucked out. It's was a good place to do your quarantine.
✔ food was good most days
✔ police, medical staff and hotel staff were excellent and very helpful.
✔ 3 x foxsports channels
✔ free movie channels with a ok selection.
✔ large room
✔ no balcony but you might luck a north facing room and get plenty of sun during the day.
✔ short trip from airport
✔ change of linen every few days.

15 days quarantine at Hotel Grand Chancellor. Old but room is generally clean. One window opens a little for fresh air. Not sure why, but the shower stall stinks, although the rest of the bathroom is OK. No bathtub. First vegan meal was quite good. I declined dinner but kind of regretted when I found out that it was curry and naan.
N. B.
Lovely place. Friendly helpful staff.
My room had been recently renovated so was very comfortable and modern.
Bar and atmosphere is very good - a good selection of craft beers.
The restaurant food is excellent. A very good seafood menu, the chef does a great job.
Hindley st itself is very ‘colourful’ after about 10pm...look up its history and you’ll know why. But don’t let it ruin your experience, just soak it up.

We stayed here a month ago and haven't quit talking about it! The hotel is really well located, has car parking, and the rooms have stunning views of Adelaide. We had such a nice time the first night that we decided to stay a second night as well. Hotel staff was overwhelmingly kind, food was tasty and cocktails were great! Will absolutely be back!
A. A.
The staff here are the best, They're friendly and nothing is a problem. The rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable. The food just delicious. The service is 5 star.
A. E.
Really great staff. Excellent systems and good room. Stayed here during quarantine and was very happy with the whole team

Attended a training session that was required for my employment. I arrived a little early and was greeted as l walked through the foyer. A beautiful, top end looking hotel. I enquired as to where abouts my training room was. I was directed to the room where l was greeted again. The room was clean and had all the modern equipment and visual aids required for learning. Food was supplied by the hotel which was delicious. Recommend this venue/hotel for workplace trainings.

I recently booked into the Grand to only stay one night between site visits.
After taking 3 flights in 24 hours i drove into your carpark and came upstairs exhausted. After a few moments i was greeted by Lydia with a gorgeous smile and a ‘How can i help you?’. Although she booked me in quickly she asked if i was having a good day and i quickly told her of my exhaustion due to travel. She quickly had me laughing and feeling right at home ( a comfort i rarely have travelling so much) she is an absolute gem of an employee and i train customer service! She isn’t just good at that, but also is customer centric!
I then got to my floor to find an amazing HUGE room! With some little jams and a letter from the GM! A gorgeous balcony, a big bed, gorgeous meal from room service and an amazing sleep! Will definitely be staying again!

Quality hotel. On this particular night I didn't have to pay so that might have contributed to my happy experience. However room was very clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot. Can also say the bar come restaurant was great. Good coffee and food. Very pleasant reception staff and ideally located on Hindley street. I didn't use the hotel parking but they do provide some. Only thing I would say is Hindley street can be a little on the rough side when the night goes on. That's the city though these days.
T. L.
The rooms are clean, large. Bed was really comfortable. If the style is a little dated it doesn't feel worn. I was here for a conference as well as staying overnight. The conference room was a good size, comfortable temperature. The food was lovely with good options for vegetarians etc. Staff were helpful and friendly.
C. C.
Thoughtful customer service. We left our bags at reception as we got in early before standard check-in (unannounced), but when we returned to formally check-in, our bags were already neatly placed in the room. Very pleased with friendly and intuitive service. The room size is ample and we liked the size of the bathroom (normally smaller for a room of the same size).
N. C.
Really enjoyed staying here, the suite was very spacious and private with everything you needed. Bedding very comfortable. Well positioned in the heart of Adelaide City we walked to just about everything. Enjoyed the happy hour most afternoons located in the foyer.
D. P.
Room is super spacious and wifi is strong. Mini bar was pretty sparse, but overall the experience has been a good one. Pool and spa is a quiet area which is great, and staff are friendly. I arrived at 9am and my room was ready, which you don’t get everywhere
S. R.
The bedroom was spotless and so comfortable, the staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. The only issue was entering the hotel the key card that we received wouldn’t work on the doors at the entrance but other than that I would highly recommend staying.
P. F.
During my quarantine stayed at this hotel , food is great . Every meals is good n tasty . Staffs at hotel very good n attentive. Thumb up
M. M.
Staff extremely friendly and efficient.
Room was well presented.
Only disappointment was long delay in waiting for room service meal.
Approximately 45 minutes over the expected time given.
Meal was like warm.
Bed very comfortable.
Second stay here and will return again.
Great location.
M. R.
Nice enough place but be prepared for compromises.
Was here on business. Check-in slow though friendly.
Bed was 2 singles pushed together with a bump which is a real deal breaker for me. Bedding is such an important part of a hotel stay so I don't know why some establishments persist with it.
Rooms were kept clean and tidy.
Bathroom was spacious and neat enough though better shower heads would be very much welcomed.
Bar had a friendly relaxed vibe in the foyer, a bit of a sanctuary from the bustle of Hindley Street. Go somewhere else for food though. The Japanese across the road is great!
Noise is very noticeable from the street at night from the pubs which are pumping, particularly on a Friday and Saturday. I would recommend caution walking alone at night in the surrounding area, particularly for women (not that it should matter!).
Breakfast was pretty ordinary although adequate...(except for the coffee, that's awful. Go one block up to "coffee branch" for your caffeine hit).
Overall this seemed a tired hotel in a busy area with staff probably doing the best they could with what they had. I would look for somewhere else next time in Adelaide however.
J. C.
Friendly efficient and obliging staff.
Very comfortable rooms, only wish the water pressure in the shower was better.
Would recommend this hotel it for its good service, comfort and reasonable price.
Happy hour at the bar was great.
Meals are great, as with restaurant staff.
Excellent location within the CBD.
C. T.
It is a nice hotel. And very well located to everything. I am here for a conference at the conference center and it is a very short easy walk from the hotel.
The rooms are relatively nicely appointed. The TV system is a little old school requiring you to use the average software with no input control. In room movies are prohibitively expensive.
The minibar prices and in-room service prices are not to bad.
The pool looks good and the bar on the ground floor seems nice.
There is heaps of amazing restaurants in the are, so I doubt I will go to the restaurant so I won't comment on that, other than the breakfast is an extra 25 bucks, so I won't be eating breakfast here.
The rooms could use a little bit of an upgrade. But all in all, this is a nice place.
I am in a king room for reference.
A. G.
Provided with a newly renovated room. Room was a good size and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. A good choice. Outside street environment is a little interesting but the hotel is safe and has lift security
S. H.
Great location and great place to stay, the staff are a real asset to this Hotel, from the front desk, bar and room cleaners. All very polite, friendly and helpful. Will be definitely be returning to stay when next visiting Adelaide
E. W.
Loving staying at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, very clean and in a great location. No set of drawers in my room though and they take a hefty deposit for each night. Breakfast buffet was average- banana smoothie was good, however they didn't have any gluten free cereal or bread.
C. M. D.
I stay at a few Grand Chancellors around Australia and they are all very well priced with clean rooms and the expected amenities. The only feed back is that in general that they do tend to lack a bit of atmosphere in the bars and restaurants. I accept that Covid 19 is reaping havoc but the room/bar menu could have more healthier choices.
M. G.
Rooms are always very clean and well priced for what they are and staff are also very accommodating. It is on Hindley street but you wouldn't know it as every time my partner and I have stayed there we haven't heard a peep. Definitely recommend.
C. M.
Absolutely great stay, very convenient & close to the heart of CBD, walking distance to many places and restaurants, and public transport. Heated pool, sauna, gym. Comfy beds & superior customer service. Well priced for luxury stay. Will be back for a next stay with HGC, awesome!
M. P. V.
My regular choice of accommodation when visiting South Australia for work. Hotel is conveniently located, rooms are spacious and clean and love that there is desk in the room to work from. Breakfast buffet has a good spread of Hot and cold items. Other food options availble near the hotel, with Hindley dumplings becoming one of my favourite quick easy options.
L. C.
This is a great hotel right in the heart of the city with everything you need for a short stay. The rooms are modern and well appointed with a very high standard of cleanliness. There is on site underground parking, reasonable restaurant and bar and pool of you need it.
It's right on Hindley Street and the right end of the city for an easy walk to the convention centre and oval etc.
Great value and friendly service.
B. E.
Enjoyed my stay here and was a nice spacious room with an excellent shower! Staff were friendly and it’s excellently located right in the heart of Adelaide with some great restaurants nearby (check out Peel St restaurant or Bistro Blackwood)
Just a couple of niggles stop it getting 5 stars, no safe in the room, only 1 clothes hanger in wardrobe, left a water in mini bar which housekeeping moved leading me to open one of their bottles instead, no shower gel but 2 moisturisers.
As I said they’re only small things, certainly wouldn’t stop me from staying again or recommending it as a good Adelaide base.
R. N.
This is a nice little hotel that is centrally located in proximity to all the bars and entertainment venues in the city. Plenty of options for food and drinks.
There is an arabic restaurant right opposite the hotel which serves some delicious grilled meats, must check it out if you are into that sort of stuff.
Check-in process was easy and quick, staff were very helpful and courteous. Overall a very pleasant stay that we enjoyed.
M. H.
Beautiful hotel if not in the best part of town. The room was clean and made up regularly. Really reasonably priced and would happily stay again. The bar has regular happy hours which attracts a lot of people so at times it can be a bit of a wait at the bar. The breakfast was brilliant at $25 each but the sms making it $17.50 was even more appreciated. An abundance of yummy choice. Took advantage of the in house restaurant one night when we were too cold to go out and can thoroughly recommend the food and the service. The hotel is not too far to walk to Rundle Mall and the tram which is free within the CBD area. Also close to the train station and hire car places across the road.
S. E.
After our drive via Broken Hill from Brisbane the luxury and service was a blessing. The in room dining was our choice and rest in comfortable bed most appreciative. Cleanliness after the dust of the outback was priceless. Thank you for our second visit will stay again.
M. H.
Rooms are great. Breakfast is great with a wide selection of food and the first auto pancake maker I have ever seen.
Pool and gym areas are Good, with the added benefit of a sauna.
Walking distance to rundle mall and trams. Clean quiet area despite proximity to the Hindley st clubs.
Secure private car parking available. Friendly helpful staff. They even heated up leftovers in their staff room microwave for my wife.
P. C.
Good location, very close to Rundle mall. Walking distance to China Town and central market. Good sized room and beds. However, the water mixer outlet was too close to the edge of the face tub basin, and was extremely frustrating for washing. Swimming pool on first level was very nice, my son loved it.
M. A.
Great location. A 5 min walk away from Adelaide CBD (Randall Mall) and the cellars and brewers following the walk.
Booked here from work so can't comment on the price. Good service and handy staff. Hotel itself is 3 star to me.
Dinner was a no no for me. Especially if I had to pay from my own pocket. The location stands out though so you could step out and you'd be in a walking distance from 80 percent of good restaurants in Adelaide.
J. P.
The General Manager Shane could not do enough to ensure a comfortable stay . He went out of his way to ensure my room was to my liking - thank you . The room was very spacious and the hotel in a great location
T. M.
Went to Adelaide for a wedding and got a very good deal on this hotel. The rooms are clean and have all you need. Good rooms for the price. The staff are friendly and go out of their way for you. Staff at hotel were very obliging will be back.
K. H.
Attended all day seminar..room very comfortable.Located on the conference floor, room size is by removable walls. Lighting and air condition very good. This first occasion that they had a movable coffee machine serving coffee in the waiting area on the conference floor. Pricing was at the top but most convenient for seminar attendees. Who doesn't have time to head downstairs or go to Outside shops for coffee.
J.
I liked that the hotel was close to shopping malls. The restaurant was nice & the food & service was excellent. The room was large enough & the bed was comfortable. …
J. M.
Purchased a scoopon for a surf and turf. Very slow service, staff blamed it on being short staffed. Ordered our steaks "medium rare"-when the meal finally arrived the steaks were charred black and overdone. It was akin to trying to cut leather with a butter knife. Requested that the meals be re supplied as were not what we ordered. Lengthy wait..but the wait was worth it. two beautifully cooked medium rare steaks and this time with steak knives. I would however not return to this venue.
T. M.
Good evening meal room service food
T. M.
The hotel is in a very good location. There was noise in my room though I wasn't bothered by it but if you are a light sleeper you may be as I could hear nightclub noise and was on a high floor. It's certainly clean and the staff are nice. …
A. A.
This place was lovely and clean. Staff are fantastic. Could not have been more friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate us with a baby
T. M.
Having read less than encouraging reviews we were pleasantly surprised. The type of hotel that doesn't bug you too much while you're there but when you leave you don't want to rush back. Hotel presents quite well in a busy street. Each room has 100M wifi for free and will charge you for extra use.
J. S.
Spacious well serviced room (executive) with comfy bed and good bathroom. Very helpful staff. Room service meal when we arrived very late at night was really appreciated. Handy location a bonus but a bit shocked with those people living on the footpath especially over the weekend. Seems to be a problem all over Adelaide city.
D. W.
Stayed here one night after work with my wife for a quick city getaway. The on site access car parking makes it simple easy to get to the hotel. Was greeted and served by friendly staff throughout our stay.
Rooms are very cosy, had the best night sleep I've had in months! While only a city view it's quite a nice one.
Sauna, pool and spa were very relieving after a long day.
Would certainly stay here again.
Did not dine but planning on it in the future.
a. r.
Wife and I stayed here a few times to just get a way for the night and have always enjoyed our stay. Staff makes you feel welcome as soon as you check in and the rooms were more than accommodating for what we were looking for.
L. H.
Customer service was 10/10! They let us check in 6hrs early, gave us maps for Adelaide, helped hail a taxi etc. Pool was heated and amazing. Beds were super comfy. Everything was clean and lovely. Only complaint is that the WiFi was very slow and hard to connect to.
S. B.
It was lovely, on entering the hotel noticed how warm and comfortable the foyer was, very clean, the staff at the check in desk were so welcoming and friendly, we asked for a top floor and our choice was given only to find that the shower was situated over the bath, due to injury I cannot access so rang and ask if I could possibly have a room with walk in shower, in the blink of a eye it was arranged, the breakfast was amazing and all staff were very helpful from start to finish, I have already recommended this hotel to family and friends, the close proximity to the city is wonderful for shopping cafe' and entertainment.. I also love the fact that the hotel is sat back from the road which means no noise from the street.
S. M.
Excellent hotel. Little gem on Hindley street.
Exception room, amazing balcony, brilliant shower.
The service was nice and friendly and carparking was cheap and easy to access from the road and to the hotel.
Will definitely be back.
M. “. P.
Good central location in the CBD. Short walk from the main shopping area. The restaurant at the hotel isn't great but there are lots of good options in nearby laneways. Staff are friendly and helpful, service is generally good and they have a small gym in the basement.
N. F.
Great function spaces. Catering for events is above average, as is the service. The bar downstairs also does a pretty good espresso martini.
T. M.
We have stayed here ***y times over the years and found the experience worthwhile. To get to the car park you need to walk down a dark alley way and dodge drunks and drug users doing deals and vomiting. The rooms serviced by the house staff was very good and must be commended.
L. T.
Nice enough room, clean, reasonable price. Have to be a member to get a late check out for free, otherwise there is a charge. Convenient location.
t. p.
Just stayed for a week. Beaut room. Superb location. Helpful staff. Yum beakfast buffet. View was interesting! A lil on the loud side. Pool n spa fab. Only 1small tip for restaurant when people order in-please give an indication of when there meal will get to the room
Y. M. S.
Helpful staffs. Central location, during weekend, pubs around hotel can be noisy.
Some rooms not renovated, very old design. Renovated rooms look nice, but the plumbing is not well done, might make loud noise when turn off the shower - water hammer. Hope they can fix it.
B. P.
Spacious clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Excellent customer service. We had fresh towels every day. Great location to everything. I would go back again
G. N.
Hotel is comfortable enough with all the necessary amenities. Free WiFi is functional, but not terribly fast (still - free is free). Rooms are a little old and lack USB power, but there are plenty of standard power sockets. Restaurant is perhaps a little expensive, but the food is quite good.
K. P.
Very friendly and helpful staff. First time in hotel and feel very comfortable. One issue I have and with most most other hotels is some thinga could use a quick clean over to make things look nicer.
T. M.
I was in the middle of a long work trip and I had stayed in a renovated room last visit so decided I wanted to enjoy my evening by having a modern room. I asked the cleaners to give a few things a little extra attention and they were cleaned spotless straight away. We would certainly recommend this hotel.
M. K.
Excellent central place when visiting Adelaide for a conference at the Adelaide Convention Centre. You only have to walk down an alleyway just opposite the hotel. Also, there are many places to eat just outside the hotel. Helpful and friendly staff.
y. y.
Nice rooms at nice prices. Very friendly staff. Gym and pool are very nice
N. W.
Rooms are basic but well appointed. They have a well catered restaurant above the lobby, a pleasant bar area near the entrance. Above all this hotel is in a great location especially during festival season. Pricing is quite reasonable.
R. B.
Room was comfortable and serviced each day. Room equipment was aging. Music on bedside did not work, iron did not work and no room safe. Very close to mall and conveniently located near trams and trains.
T. M.
The lady on reception checked the rooms and said I could check in right there and then which was great service. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room is on the top floor but directly across the road is a nightclub. I would stay here again without hesitation.
m. c.
Great value hotel that could not be closer to the centre of town and the trundle mall. Has pool, underground parking and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Recommended.
S. H.
Lovely Staff and service, rooms were showing there age , TV was old and had a big red line through it, fridge was ancient and couldn’t freeze anything, air conditioning was so loud when in operation you had to put the tv to 85% or more just to hear it, but bathroom was more up to date
J. M.
Parking for the lovely busy hotel is easy to get to and within reason for price, although I paid $19 for four hours on a Sunday and none too pleased, my car was safe and there are enough security cameras
The motel itself was bustling and staff genuinely busy yet friendly service. Didn't try the food but everywhere I went was clean enough to past muster
T. K.
Lovely room, amazing room views, on a main street but heard nothing from my room. Room needs a little bit of fixing up - a little old its showing around the fixtures and fittings... Happy Hours downstairs was great!!
c. s.
Have been here every fortnight for the past three months or so. Fantastic service, quick and positive about any queries or questions. Comfortable beds, comfortable rooms with great views. We will be back. Really couldnt recommend them more.
p. h.
Service is friendly, hotel has everything you need in the centre of the city. Rooms are dated but perfectly fine and quiet.
Comfortable bed with easy access
D. B.
Sue and I didn't stay here, but we enjoyed a nice dinner.
It would have been much nicer if there was some background ambiance.
Having the name Grand in it, we got dressed up to find out we were overdressed. Oh well at least we were ready to go out after.
R. H.
Room service pizza was great but soggy in the center, in room breakfast menu is limited, shower isnt great for tall people as its a shower/bath combo and the shower head was fixed on the wall and below my shoulders (im 181cm), furniture was dated if you care about that, bed was very soft which was fine.
T. M.
I was pleased with this stay. Room was clean besides the dust covering the food items. Rooms are of good size and very comfortable. You really had to be there but this guy was an absolute turd. The staff try hard to accommodate this but it out of their hands.
P. S.
Had a great stay here for one week. Very comfortable rooms with good service from all the staff. The on site restaurant has some of the best food you will find in Adelaide
T. M.
The area attracts an awful lot of young people who come out to drink until the early hours of the morning. Trams at your doorstep we loved the position of this place. We stayed in room 1201 and had a fabulous view of the comings and goings of the street below.
T. M.
I stayed at the Hotel Grand Chancellor for a weekend during January. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is ideally situated in the city with a short walk to Rundle Mall for shopping or Art Gallery, Museum, Adelaide Oval or Casino. We will definitely be back as it was excellent value for money.
T. K.
Fantastic place to stay all the staff made us feel so welcoming and made us feel like friends. This hotel just a walking distance from everywhere in the city such as the Casino, Rundall Mall, hospitals, entertainment centre, etc. No problems with parking even when hotel park was full there was alternative secured parking available.
R. M.
The room although comfortable is a bit plain, no pictures on the walls. A capsule coffee machine but no milk frother, so cold coffee after adding milk. A small microwave would be a good thing to include.
T. M.
I love the area, so close to everything & always busy so walking around on your own late at night seems safe. Very good value for money. Close and within walking distance of the Festival Centre and the Mall. The service we received from everyone was of a high standard.
D. C.
Was there for a two day workshop that was hosted in the mezzanine, the workshop was spread across three rooms. The staff catering the event were great and likewise the food, spacious dining area just located outside to seat our team.
S. F.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. The room that we were in was quite big and clean. Toilet is large too but a bit out dated style. The hotel is very close to Rundle Mall and pretty central.
j. v.
Have been staying here on work trips for many years now. A place of my choice to stay. Clean, free WiFi with an option to upgrade, good central location. Parking is relatively cheap in comparison with other places.
S. L.
Centrally located with good amenities and facilities. Aesthetically the rooms appear a bit dated, but it's all still very comfortable. Staff a friendly and happy to assist.
J. M.
Nice lobby. Bad hotel. Don't stock basic items like toothpaste in rooms. This has been an international contraband since 9/11, yet you need to specifically ask for it despite it being illegal on domestic/international flights. Also, beware, Adelaide public transport is among the worst in the world. Good luck getting from airport to anywhere
T. N.
A pleasant venue in a good location and good house drinks. Food was decent, however nut- and dairy-free food options for vegetarians/vegans was disappointing. Waiter service was good, but not outstanding.
T. M.
We had my Christmas function in the city and booked into the Grand Chancellor on Hindley which was within walking distance to the function. Check-in staff are excellent and well versed. You could hear the noise and music coming from the pubs and clubs outside when you turned your TV off.
M. L. M.
Standard room with an alley view of what I think was a "gentlemen's bar".
Elevator from car park not working and the car park was very small. All the small cars took up the larger car parks leaving all the large cars to stick out of the smaller car parks. Then we got slogged with an $18 car park fee. Thought that would have been included in our accommodation.
When we arrived checking in was interesting. There was no where to park out front of the hotel and we did a lap around Adelaide before coming back to find a park up the road. I couldn't check in as the booking was in my husband's name. While itwas only a minor hiccup it all added to a long day.
Bed was comfortable and room clean.
Chocolates were a nice inclusion although still would have preferred free parking.
We had breakfast included as part of our stay and it was a standard fair. Loved the chocolate fondue with strawberries. This hotel clearly loves complimentary chocolate but not providing parking as part of inclusions.
P. S.
It really is a pretty average hotel. First, don't be fooled by the free wifi. That is 100 mb per stay. That is, for your whole stay you can send maybe 10 emails - and don't surf the web at all. Breakfast is very ordinary. Scrambled eggs that don't taste like anything, with a variety of other things that are also pretty average, and the machine made coffee is a joke. Stay if you have no other options, but I'm sure there are better options in the area.
K. R.
We are in lockdown and the staff have been great here, very friendly
C. C.
Nothing not to like, very comfortable, nice spacious elegant room, friendly staff from reception to the room service. Really enjoyed my stay!
g. a.
Great place to stay if you are after the nightlife experience of Adelaide. Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful reception staff.
P. H.
Great view of the city on the 11th floor.
Hospitality to be applauded with very friendly service.
Will be coming back considering its location and savings on needing to drive or taxi everywhere.... money well spent
T. M.
We booked this hotel for a long weekend in Adelaide. Don't expect any good television entertainment with only a sample of local channels and a couple of Foxtel (cable) channels. Location is excellent with only a short easy walk to Rundle Mall, trams and buses, and parking underneath.
S. T.
Nice hotel, quiet despite the madness of Hindley Street below. Happy hour at Seb's bar of $5 a beer/wine is good. Also $10 for a pizza.
Internet is not the quickest but free.
D. M.
Wonderful hotel. HORRIBLE neighborhood. But the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and there is a great shopping center nearby.
D. H.
Perhaps getting a little tired but very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Location is excellent
D. M.
Nice hotel, staff are great, drink specials keep a steady stream of people coming and going. Didn't stay at hotel so unable to comment on rooms
J. W. P.
Beautiful foyer in this lovely old hotel. Everthing needed was supplied quickly by staff, nothing was too much trouble. Taxi rank right outside on busy street.
S. C.
Nice clean dining area considering the Covid outbreak, staff were wonderful.
Rooms are very nice and the pricing is very good.
J. H.
Nice affordable and close to the Mall.
Personally my favorite place to stay whilst in Adelaide with fantastic attractions within walking distance from your room.
Great Staff and freindly Concierge who are all there to help you in any way they can even into the late nights without a problem.
T. M.
We have stayed with you before on several occasions and have found the location of the Grand Chancellor so convenient. Not having been to Adelaide before, we didn't know what to expect but went ahead and booked the Grand Chancellor on Hindley for a very good price. I would stay here again purely for its location.
A. J.
Great staff excellent service! Lovely clean, quiet , comfortable rooms and great room service. Also enjoyed the breakfast buffet , had something for everyone
C. L.
Good location, room was a good size and clean, bed was comfortable, service was great. Only issue was a fair bit of noise from the street in the evenings on the weekend.
G. H.
We attended for an Christmas event which we fantastic we had a smorgasbord of food which was lovely. We had friends that stayed there for the night so visited 2 room one on the 6th floor and one on the 10th as you got higher the better the view. 6th floor view was not great.
J. J.
Went for a function in one of the ball rooms, very well presented, and plenty of space. Staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely a more upmarket venue, everything went smoothly.
J. F.
Pretty good hotel.
Clean and in a good location.
Pillows are a bit high.
Otherwise good.
Has a happy hour which is good.
Friendly helpful staff.
a. t.
Spent the week as part of a training. Facilities were clean. Staff were friendly and the kitchen was very accommodating of my nutritional needs.
T. B.
Always enjoyed my stays, teething issues sometimes, but overall good. Have stayed several times now

Good customer service at the service desk. Great room to stay in and very clean and the breakfast. I had fruit fresh fruit salad with yougart and avavodo smoothie
T. P.
Attendees a small training session in the conference rooms on the mezzanine. The rooms were clean and easy to get to. The space could be quickly and easily divided up into smaller spaces when needed.
N. C.
Excellent hotel. Great location, nice rooms and great service. There's also a great bar in the front of the hotel to have a few drinks... Friendly bar tender.
P. B.
I have stayed at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Adelaide a couple of times and enjoyed it each time. It is close to the city centre, Rundle Mall and Festival Centre, Adelaide oval. You can also catch a tram nearby to the
Entertainment Centre. The restaurant has nice meals which are reasonably priced and breakfast was included in the stay over.
A. M.
Loved this hotel. Was an amazing place to go; the staff were lovely and my whole experience was brilliant. Would definitely go again.
S. A.
Excellent staff so very friendly & efficient especially the restaurant staff. Food excellent at a reasonable price & the rooms are clean & large. I will be back
M. R.
Bloody brilliant. Awesome restaurant and breaky menu. Awesome service. Beautiful clean rooms. Can't complain . Very nice
T. C.
Nice sized room with comfortable beds. Staff extremely helpful. In walking distance of a lot plus easy access to public transportation.
P. B.
Nice enough room and facilities. Was surprised at the amount of street noise that could be heard in the room, even on the top floor. Staff were friendly with the limited interaction had with them.
B. Z.
Rooms are good. The service is good. Friendly staff. The restaurant is great. Good gym and pool. Great location. All good!
J. H.
Attended for a conference. Well appointed and comfortable venue with outstanding catering and fantastic service staff. Biggest downfall was the wifi which was problematic and unreliable throughout the event.
A. K.
Had a Scoopon deal & couldn't rave about these guys any more. Fantastic food & the service was brilliant. Clinton looked after us so well, thank you.
J. W.
Service and room was great. Downstairs at the happy hour was good and breakfast was fantastic. Nothing was too much for them to do .
V. V.
Clean, comfortable, well maintained and in close proximity to the airport. The staff are friendly and accommodating. This is now my Adelaide go to.
E. B.
Good location and mostly friendly staff. The beds and some of the rooms are quite old, making them uncomfortable. Had a good enough experience overall.
C. T.
My fiance and I recently stayed at the Grand Chancellor on Hindley and I can't speak more highly of how fantastic the staff were, Chelsea at the front desk went up and above to help us and we won't stay anywhere else when visiting Adelaide, lovely rooms and great parking. A1 Hotel.
N. W.
Great place in the heart of it all. Bar & clubs at night, easy to explore the city in the day. Close to the airport on 15 min max.
V. P.
Excellent regal place. Peaceful old world charm. Includes the Salford College campus where new master chefs are trained to make marvelous culinary creations by the food gurus.. look out for the restaurant days to savour their creations. Head to Salford College website to see how? Enjoy.
V. S.
Great place to stay. Close to everything staff very friendly. Second time have stayed there. Impressed both times
J. K.
Very fancy. Very flash. Food was great and they use local produce so that's a huge plus for me. Staff were great.
B. H.
Our experience at the Hotel Grand Chancellor was absolutely fantastic. We dined in the restaurant with family and couldn't fault the food. We highly recommend it.
W. B.
Centrally placed for all Adelaide attractions and easy access to transport and the Mall. Only 1 treadmill in the gym and no x-trainer! Difficult to fault however the deposit taken from your credit card is a bit daunting. Only might use again because of this strange affair.
S. K.
Could do with modernising. In this day you shouldn't need to walk around the room looking for light switches to turn off the rediculous number of lights. Climbing behind furniture to make it dark is silly
C. M.
Very nice, clean rooms. Pool is great. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy access to the sights
J. D.
In the heart of Adelaide, but also its red-light district. The rooms are basic, clean and modern, and staff are friendly. Don't bother with room service.
M. L.
rooms are clean, amenities are basic. staff are friendly. worth staying cos of the central location. parking can be difficult though
T. W.
Wonderful stay. Very friendly service and a superb location to stay as it places you in the heart of the city. Highly recommend another visit.
D. T.
Great staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely meals, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend, will stay again.
D. L.
Very comfortable and in the heart of the cbd. Everything from shopping, casino and river are in easy walking distance. Will definately stay again when in Adelaide
C. C.
It's a good hotel, cheap, clean and friendly staff. No complaints.
A. S.
Great amenities and centrality of the location, but be warned it runs parralel to Hindley Street. If you're a light sleeper or don't party until late you'll hate the noise that comes from the street.
C. G.
Stayed here across Anzac Day weekend this year. Very central to everything in the cbd. Nice room and great breakfast buffet
R. P.
Would stay again reasonably priced.
Great staff ,& handy to Rundle mall.
Car park next to Hotel great.
C. C.
Our room needs updating, furniture old and worn. Bed very uncomfortable. Curtin's don't black out. Fairly clean.
W. W.
Brilliant staff, great food. Really terrible wifi
N. F.
Good central location in Adelaide city with easy access to parking. Rooms are nicely furnished with good views over the CBD
A. M.
The concierge and front desk staff are very helpful when providing information about the local area. The lobby and first-floor restaurant are very well kept and clean.
K. B.
The Hotel was in a central spot, close to Casino, River, and all the car rental places nearby.... we were on 7th floor and rooms were great, serviced every day we were there ,all the staff we spoke to were very helpful, we would stay there again :-)
D. V. (.
Quite a nice place and a comfortable stay however the shower was rusty and the kettle unusable from mold. Not having a microwave is also annoying
R. T.
Centrally located hotel that's been here for many years. It used to be a quiet area, Hindley St has changed significantly in the years, for the worse, yet this hotel has remained good.
J. R.
Great hotel and comfortable bed. Only down side is you are on the street from hell on a Friday and Saturday night. No wonder the police set up shop up the road.
C. M.
Good size room. Central location. Service was great. Bit noisy sunday morning with room renovations on the floor
J. R.
Good over all. Very quiet for a city hotel. Parking was expensive and the restaurant was overpriced for the food and service. Loved the pool!
A.
Clean and spacious room, central location, decent bathroom. I gave 4 stars because the room had no view but that why it was cheaper.
K. P.
Great central location for all inner city/CBD shopping & attractions So close to wonderful dining opportunities in Peel & Leigh Street; only short walk to Rundle Mall. Friendly staff & good service.
C. H.
Older Hotel in center of downtown Adelaide. Excellent WiFi. Good breakfast. Close to shopping. Many restaurants nearby. Museums are a short walk away.
J. R.
DOn't be fooled with its location on Hindley street, I found this a real gem tucked away. Clean rooms, good service, nice breakfast
I. A.
Spending three nights at the Grand Chancellor and my room has everything I need. Most of Adelaide's places of interest are within walking distance and access to the Glenelg tram is also not far away.
K. P.
A friend from Sydney was staying here and very happy with quality for price. I thought the room was really nicely laid out and looked comfortable.
C. W.
Gym facility is outdated and difficult to use. But hotel location is great and nice staff there.
T. C.
Great sized rooms, friendly staff. Car park is good and great location.stayed a few times, always been good.
J. C.
Lovely room, exactly as the photos depicted. Very clean, friendly staff, and generally nice hotel!
r. g.
Wonderful location. Dining location in hotel is limited but there's always options out the main Street.
G. E.
Great location and helpful staff. The room furnishing is a little old however rooms are clean and confcomfort.
D. T.
Nice and quiet in the best location of the Adelaide with helpful and polite stuff.
Like to be there again.
Just one negative point is small parking area.
C. K.
Fancy lobby. Average rooms. Clean and tidy enough, the standout feature is the big shower head with plenty of water pressure.
J. C.
Spacious and nice rooms after recent renovations. Friendly and helpful staffs.
B. &. L. C. S.
Barossa and Light Cab Service, Barossa's only 100% locally owned and operated cab/taxi provider love the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide because of so many reasons, including: superior location in the heat of the Adelaide CBD, terrific accessibility to Hindley Street/Rundle Mall & Rundle Street. When our customers ask where they should stay in Adelaide, we always recommend Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide. And, we would drop our customers to the hotel about once-a-month.
K. T.
Was surprised by the presentation of this place. Though it is in Hindley St, I did not incur any problems at all. Cheap happy hour, and they serve Cooper's beer.
L. J.
Awesome
Great breakfast buffet
Lovely staff very friendly and accomodating
Great heated pool and spa
Lovely rooms
Very clean
Great price over delivered for the charge exceeded expectations
Great location
Good parking
Awesome games room for the kids with a table tennis , giant chess and giant snakes and ladders and a Tv
Only watch the poolside bar $5 for a can of coke 😱 charged at room service prices
though it's not bought to your room I think it should have been the resteraunt price
(Though this mite have been a mistake)
the internet didn't seem work in the room
But this didn't worry me
Other than that
I'll be back 😊
D. R.
Attended for Whisky Live. Strong and obvious security presence which was reassuring. Venue decor seemed dated but suppose that's their vibes.
J. E.
Centrally located near to conference centre, transport, and Adelaide Oval. Clean, modern, and spacious rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice place.Good food, comfortable bed & pillows helpful staff. Room a bit dated but still good.
B. S.
Teeny tiny rooms. Front of house staff lacking the will to live. Noisy nightclub very close by.
M. T.
As a venue for hosting presentations that support wheelchair users in the audience, it's great. Just a shame the restrooms aren't at the same standard.
H. N.
The Queen Room is quite small however the location is lovely. You can walk out of the hotel and walk into the best of Adelaide...
S. H.
