Amazing stay. Definitely recommend staying here. Particularly if it’s for like a few nights trip. The facility’s apart from the gym are outstanding. Really like the bar on the top floor and the cafe down on the ground floor with amazing workers there. Also recommend grabbing a share scooter as there are usually a few out the front for easy access to all parts of the city ands its a fun way to get around too!
Also highly recommend the blueberry muffins at the cafe :)

We stayed here at the Rydges for two nights in one of the renovated rooms. It was pretty small but quite nice. Bed was comfy, the room was very clean and the staff are really welcoming. I’d happily stay here again. The only negative thing I have to say is, the balcony outside belonged to the room next door which means you need to keep the sheer curtains closed all the time. I never actually saw anyone right outside our room… but I was still conscious of it.
They offer a free shuttle bus into the city Centre each morning.

A trip that was unforgettable for our family and friends that we had in the next room. The comfort of the hotel was great, the service of the staff was impeccable, the facilities were rich and the cleanliness of the hotel reached perfection. I would also like to mention that our breakfast service was rich and very clean and especially in the service of Mrs. Nicole who was very polite and impeccable in her duties.

Our family had a wonderful stay here.
Our room was clean and new, and the bathroom was also very nice. The hotel is in a good location, being near a lot of lovely city parks. We also enjoyed our breakfast here. Overall, great hotel charged at a good rate.

Was expecting it to be average with a 3.9 on Google reviews but was really pleasantly surprised. Big clean lovely room, nice view of the parklands. Guy on reception was lovely. Pool was great (only minus point is that the top layer of tiles on the wall side really needs a clean!).
T. C.
Great view. Helpful staff. The lovely reception was there on arrival, seemed over the day but still lovely. Was there for check out too and was very helpful, heard her making great options and solutions to the lady in front of us too. Didn’t catch her name but was from Scotland I believe .
Met my requests ,
Big room/ bathroom and reasonably priced. Great discount on booking.com.
Older furniture but still modern, clean ( I accidentally spilt food on the bed, so sorry! )
Balcony which is always nice. Close to the airport, not central to the city but jump on a scooter or a 6 min Uber and you’re there.
Would stay again as a priority guest, always choose Rydges when I travel.
Best value for money you’ll find.
C. H.
Excellent staff. Our original room wasn't really suitable.staff immediately moved us to a newly renovated lovely room. Excellent parking.
A. C.
Subtle, clean, friendly, perfect. All updated rooms, pool and dining. My stay was very relaxing.
Views aren't bad either
W. N.
Recently renovated rooms are excellent, clean, bright, and comfortable. Excellent value for money. Room service was quick and the portion sizes were massive! Definitely a place we'll stay at again.
R. M.
Stayed 2 nights in Queen Suite park view, very clean and neat room, Reception was very informative and friendly, courtesy shuttle service was also great. Overall it was a great stay. Will definitely return as my partner proposed on our balcony infront of the amazing view.
D. C.
Went to a function on the sixth floor and the staff were ok, but the food was amazing. Had breakfast there the next morning and experienced the nicest staff and greatest Hollandaise sauce ever. Definitely got a retro 90s vibe about it in the bathrooms, but clean, tidy, everything worked and nothing fell off. Had a cool view from the fifth floor and a big balcony. 10/10 would bang there again.
P. S.
Nice hotel. Staff is extremely helpful and accomodating. Rooms are quite cozy and comfortable. Onsite restuarant and bar available. Not to forget room service. Secure parking is available at a fee.
L. N.
Beautiful room clean, recently refurbished, great lighting, tv options, nice view & comfortable bed. Great selection of meals @ bar or in restaurant. Highly recommend.
L. L.
We went to the skyline restaurant is located inside the Rydges South Park Adelaide Hotel on level 6. Inside the Adelaide city, not hard to find parking around. Beautiful view while dining. Depending on the season, Sunset can be seen there. If the timing is right, you can enjoy the day and night view while having the same dinner.
p. s.
Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, secure parking. Onsite bar and restuarant available . Prices are nominal. Enjoyed the stay.
M. B.
We stayed using our great state voucher. Check in was easy and one of the nicest people I've ever had wjen checking in. (I didn't catch her name) room was standard bit tired but clean. Great block out curtains and no noise from the street. Spa was nice and warm even in a 9 deg night. Breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend .
J. P.
It's in the boondocks (about 30 minutes walk from the main shopping precinct and about 40 minutes from the train station) and definitely a relic of the 90s but it was sufficient for a couple of nights. The staff were all pleasant. The escooters parked out the front were fun and much quicker to get around on. The bar on the 6th floor was cosy and only had high stools and tables so not recommended for wheelchairs or other ability aids.
M. K.
Lovely views of the dead centre of Adelaide (west Terrace cemetery, ) but seriously nice views pleasant staff and very well prepared steak and other courses.
P. D.
We dined here tonight using a cudo voucher. The food was well cooked and tasty. Nice views, not crowded and good service. We had a good night.
K. W.
Fantastic food, staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and bed was comfy

Had a great stay, the accommodation is now of course as everyone as states on their review a bit old and slightly a little bit worn, but no complaints it is clean and tidy with all the normal facilities available to you.
The balcony I will say which now days in Adelaide you find hard to come by and only a few have them and to me this is important coz I'm a smoker is decent size and amazing views of the Adelaide Hills, the amazing parklands which Adelaide is famous for having a lot of apart from churches of course lol)and sorry I'm in to this stuff but the historical West Terrace Cemetery.
But no renovations have been done to the rooms (since it was officially opened years and years ago) since, but even still its value for money for where ur situated (in the vicinity of the Adelaide CBD, the river Torrens with the paddle boats and Popeye running in the warmer months, The Festival Centre which holds ballet, operas, live shows and of course the AFL games are held there now too during footy season, close to China town and lots of bars, restaurants of all variety's of cuisine that you can think of from cheap through to expensive fine cuisine. Attractions of Adelaide of course ie the zoo, museum the art gallery the wine centre, botanical gardens and only 15 minutes to the beaches Glenelg, West Beach, Brighton Henley beach Semaphore, Port Adelaide etc etc and so on.
They have a pretty good indoors (and about 30 percent oscillated)pool and spa which is on the top floor with pretty good views.
And a basic work out area with weight station and exercise bike.
There is also skyview bar and restaurant and a little common area with 2 computers and a basic bar bench seat for about 6 people.
The rooms also have complimentary wi-fi which is a basic must in all hotels now days, but the the city free wifi is available also any way.
Room service available for breakfast lunch and dinner 7am till 9:30pm and also beverages non alcoholic and alcoholic but only available 7am-9:30pm too.
The menu is quite extensive really for room service in Adelaide (sorry Adelaide still behind the times)with quite a large variety of otion for breakfast and tea and kids even catered for.
No mini bar in my room which sucks and no spirit available any way which bites totally
Overall my stay was quite good no complaints apart from no spirits and mini bar oh and rooms service on weekends should at least be available till midnight at least.
Value for money for what you got but think 1980's rooms and haven't been changed since, but the bed has lol and was comfortable.
R. A.
Good view and spa , friendly staff. But was not clean as expected as a hotel. Noting in the mini bar even a bottle of water.
N. S.
Room service was excellent, staff was really friendly and receptionist Jannifer was really lovely lady made our stay amazing. Thanks
R. B.
As always the staff were friendly helpful and willing to do their utmost to make our stay a positive experience. Great coffee and breakfast meals. We had a late night snack at the bar and the hot chips were the best... along with a beautiful view overlooking the city.
R. H.
Breakfast was well worth the additional fee. Modern, clean rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodating of our service dog. Pool and spa area is small but clean and enjoyable. Close proximity to parks and China Town.
s. w.
Great food, nice comfortable rooms, helpful staff and the only fault is car parking.
W. L.
Very affordable
Beautiful restaurant meal
Comfy bed
Busy intersection
You can see directly into your neighbours room on your balcony..
C. M.
Good value accommodation,
breakfast included in tariff. Room was clean bed comfortable.
S. F.
The room was very clean and as expected. Easy check in/ out process. Good room service
Level one rooms are basically facing the neighbouring road and although they have one way reflective windows, your room is still visible. Admittedly they had great sound proofing and with closed windows, road noise was not a problem.
The reason for 3 stars is not poor service at all, but rather a comparative measure to other same grade hotels. It's as expected and I would return if I visit Adelaide.
c. m.
I like the way they welcome their Guests and staff is also well mannered and professional.
A. C.
For the price point the hotel is great, overall it is clean, beds are good. Parking is the only thing that is a concern, we had two rooms and only one car but still struggled to find a car park most nights. The highlight is the staff at the breakfast section, especially Nicole who was fantastic and went above and beyond every morning, she needs to be promoted as people like that are hard to come by.
P. P.
Rooms fresh modern and clean. Reception staff welcoming and friendly.
Y. O.
Not quite the experience I expected. On arrival the staff were fantastic, so helpful. But I noticed a party at the hotel, and of course that went on until midnight. Blasting the music out, and we were on the 3rd floor. Heaven knows what it must have been like on the lower levels. Bouncy, small, not very comfortable bed, although we were in a park view Queen room. Waited over half an hour for our breakfast of fruit and granola, and got charged extra for a cappuccino. For over $200 - $250 for the night, surely a Cappuccino could be included. Also had to pay extra to park the car Ok, but I'm not sure we'd return.
D. A.
The guy on reception is really helpful, happy and welcoming. Also very efficient. So you have a good experience of the place from the get go.
The staff in the restaurant also really try very hard to help you have a good experience. The food is pretty average, but it’s OK for a feed at the end of the day.
The rooms are clean, they’re well stocked.
It’s a very good location to get to The Ghan.
I’m used to spending a bit more on a hotel and getting a bit more but really, for the $100-$150 nightly rate it’s more than suitable.
It is a bit loud facing the road, but you know, i’ve had worse.
The staff are definitely doing the heavy lifting here though, make sure you look after them :-)
k. W.
We found the actual motel lovely but the reception staff not welcoming. We don't feel we will return, and we waited like being trialled for our deposit back while they checked the room, understandable they do this but it took time and we were not even given a smile when we left.
E. S.
May I just start by saying the service here is unbelievable! Such a friendly team, who know how to greet guests! The room is absolutely stunning every time and there is not a single regret about any of my stays with you guys. Keep up the great service! You’re definitely worth the recommendation!!😊😊
O. M.
Customer service was excellent at the front desk and at the deck cafe. The rooms that are renovated spa king rooms are very nice comfortable and large, however there is a lack of attention to detail with rust on the spa ledge, rust on the balcony fence and under the toilet rims need cleaning. The skyline restaurant was a let down, but a major redemption was achieved by the excellent food at the deck breakfast cafe downstairs. The presentation and breakfast was superb. Plenty of avocado and excellent tasting salad dressing and sauce. The al a carte breakfast ended up being the best breakfast in Adelaide after three disappointing experiences in town.
P. B.
Nice clean room friendly staff, will stay again well worth a stay peeps 😀
G. W.
Service for a conference was amazing, so friendly, helpful and happy to help. Food was great, coffee very good and rooms were comfortable. Will book here again
K. O.
I didn't stay at Rydgers, but attended a work function during the day. It was excellent! Special mention to a young lady named Jade. She was so busy! Nothing was too much trouble, and she always had a smile. Fantastic service 😃
S. N.
My main meal was not amazing but was nice enough. Dessert was great. But the views were spectacular. And the service was fantastic. The staff accommodated a large group and were genuinely lovely. I would happily go back.
M. D.
Held the presentation dinner for our club at Rydges. A grest venue, great food and wonderful staff.
C. .
Very great rooms, and excellent location!
a. p.
Great rooms good prices wonderful friendly service nice location
J. L.
Other than my no jug for water and the world's smallest car park no issues.
P. H.
Starting to show its age, pleasant front desk, but waited almost 5 minutes before someone returned to the empty desk. Not tried the food yet, but the restaurant looks quite nice.
J.
Fantastic accommodation. Great customer service. Great amenities
L. D.
I loved my stay at Rydges. I had the premium spa room and it was spacious, quiet and clean with a huge balcony overlooking the parklands. The bed was the most comfortable one I've ever slept in so I slept like a baby. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful and I got a late checkout at 1pm free of charge. I will definitely be returning in the future.
D. N.
Nice clean rooms. Very pleasant staff. Quick check-in. Nice pool and spa. Fantastic breakfast. Breakfast staff were extremely friendly & very accommodating with kids.
M. H.
Amazing service from Charlotte and Bruce, so friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautiful, great views and staff. Since calling up to book it has been a great experience. Definately will be going again
b. t.
Nice room with comfy bed. Has got secure car park area. Short walk to cbd shops/restaurants. Gym area is too small and only 2 people can use at a time.
J. T.
Great experience but if you say complementary parking don't charge $15 so not on
D. K.
My family and I stayed here recently and were very happy with the value we got from our money. People may find the rooms a bit outdated, but I've stayed in worse places which were more expensive. The shower was nice and hot, the rooms were clean and respectable, great location and secure parking, the view of the park was awesome, the staff was reasonably nice considering I had a 2 year old screaming the place down lol and the WiFi was pretty good considering we had a few devices running off it. Only fault I had on the place was no locks on the bathroom was a little annoying, also our fridge was unplugged which was only a minor inconvenience. I highly recommend.
K. L.
The staff were superb - very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Team at The Deck were great, particularly Nicole and Nicola who made the breakfast experience entertaining. Good recommendations provided over breakfast on places to visit, including The Cube at McLarenvale. We stayed at the Rydges for a Wedding and had a meal in terms of quality, quantity and promptness. It was obvious that the staff were delighted to contribute to making the evening special for all participants. Congratulations, "The Chauffer".
L. F. W.
Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Pleasant location. I stayed for an in-house meeting. The facilities were good, catering tasty, and staff helpful. The cafe and restaurant were both very good with a nice variety for all tastes. The breakfast buffet is very good. Great value. The room was a good size with amenities including connectivity (wired or wifi). I had a nice stay.
A. R.
We checked in on the 27th March 20.
Stayed in the king Spa room.
*The room was large with a large balcony. Comfortable size.
*The bathroom was large as well.
*But the bed was really bad. Not replaced in a long time I would guess. When I slept on it the dip in the bed was so much that my feet was higher than my body.
*The bathroom grouts were dirty in the shower.
*As you exit the lift to go to the rooms the passage had a really bad stale smell to it.
For such a large hotel expected better then that.
D.
Great customer service and upon check-in was offered a late check out because we arrived at midnight. Clean and comfortable room and prices very well!
L.
Lovely and clean room. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly
K. A.
Do not stay on the fifth floor. The bar is on the 6th floor and you can hear banging and footsteps from there. I don't know if it's any better in the other floors but definitely not the 5th.
L. P.
Having stayed at Rydges numerous times, I can recommend the hotel as a comfortable one, with value for money rooms, many of which have been renovated. Parking costs extra and the car park can be full sometimes if there is a conference on, which can be inconvenient when checking in. The staff are welcoming and the restaurant and bar on the top floor has a great view. It is clean, but is showing signs of wear and tear, hence the lower rates. There is a great spa on the top floor. The breakfast is worth looking at for a good start to the day.
K. T.
It was beautiful hotel, very friendly staff. Room was basic but clean although the room facing the parkland got very loud early morning when the traffic started.
B. S.
We stayed in room 506 facing Anzac highway intersection room was sufficent bar fridge didn't work had a shower over bath and the traffic noise is easy heard,we every siren or motorbike loud stereo that pulled up or went through the intersection ,sunset was awsome from this room ,only good point
P. M.
Handy location, very squeezy paid parking, comfortable and quiet rooms, though could be a bit cleaner. Give the restaurant a miss.. it's expensive, small serves, and not all that well prepared - seemed like the chef designed the menu then have it to an apprentice to cook. Harsh I know, but I tried it twice a few months apart, and it was an expensive disappointment both times. Room service breakfast was also expensive but very good.
D. S.
Lovely view of parkland. Comfy bed, nice large shower. Would come back
A. S.
Great service, but the building is old and outdated. Moreover, it's likely the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Non sound proof rooms so you're bombarded with hallway noise at all hours. Worst of all, it's right next to an 8 lane highway so you're the meat in the middle of a noise sandwich. Good news is the balconies are accessible for smokers (if there are any left out there).
M. K.
I recommand.
We spend a week in this hotel and everything was good.
-A good room
-A very nice staff who always here for you and help the best they can
-And a good restaurant
Hope that we will be able to came back a day.
M. B.
Bathroom needs upgrade. View great
Breakfast below average. Eggz burned!
However, management have addressed these issues promptly and I should add that staff are very friendly and approachable. They are in the process of upgrading so in some respects some issues are beyond their control. So yes, I would stay here again
E. S.
Clean rooms, good views of Adelaide and secure parking for a small fee.
P. J.
The staff were amazing, very attentive. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable (pre-order for a better price!). Only one working lift during renovations and it failed a couple of times during our stay. Loved the driver that provided our airport transfer at the end of our stay!
C. C.
We had our wedding reception in 2013. It was lovely! Amazing views with friendly staff. Although their wedding organizer had changed 3 times while we were planning ours. But everything still went smoothly. Lovely place to stay with an amazing breakfast selection.
R. W.
4.5 stars. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the room is clean though somewhat dated. However, it is great value and we will stay here again.
L. S.
Be one of my favourite hotels in Adelaide, great location, good views, secure parking, best prices most the time , never had any issues with any of the rooms ..... Definitely recommend ...
D. W.
Had a lunch function with a large group of people and we were well looked after with the food and service.
C. M.
Lovely staff at moment they're gradually doing renovations.
J. N.
Pros: wonderful breakfast and very pleasant staff. Cons: in major need of refurbishment. Rooms very dated with grubby carpets and curtains and aged fixtures and furnishings. Very thin walls and loud in room fridge resulting in very poor sleep quality. Pool and gym is nothing special. Wifi is unusable. Drops constantly and unable to do basic tasks like send an email, let alone anything else. On the whole i would not recommend this hotel
S. R.
We had baked Turkish bread with the balsamic olive oil & fig dip.
In the pic we had the shoulder lamb & Thine steak meal. Garlic potatoes & Dukka chips x
T. M.
The hotel itself is very clean. Loved the rooftop restaurant. From the moment we pulled up we felt taken care of. Location is great as previous posters have stated. Secure easy access parking. The poached eggs at breakfast were heavenly. The staff are some of the most attentive and helpful people.
M. F.
The room was looking a little tired, but overall, it was good for the price. The good: - Staff were very friendly and helpful - The room was clean, and well fitted - the prices were very reasonable - the bedding was nice and fresh - the skyline restaurant and bar had a nice atmosphere for relaxing with a view The bad: - the room looked a bit tired, the carpet had a few burn marks or stains, and was probably due for replacement - the silicone in the shower needs to be replaced with a mould resistant silicone
T. B.
Service was fine. Breakfast, coffee and restaurant dinner were lovely. Rooms a bit dated
S. W.
Staff are friendly, calm, professional and helpful however communication seems to get lost between them. I was given a late check out but it wasn’t recorded anywhere so at the hotel’s usual check out time our credit card was charged. Not a big deal as it was dealt with quickly when we did check out. Cleaning needs more attention, we found stray hairs within blankets & in the shower. My partner and I stayed in the Premier King Spa Suite but the money didn’t really feel worth it when we dealt with paper thin walls and loud neighbours! However the shower was amazing and the bed so comfy.
B. D.
I chose Rydges Adelaide for its convenience and quality for price. My second floor room was comfortable and had all the expected extras including a fridge. The north facing view was unimpressive but the southern view faces the park and looks great. The restaurant served me a very nice dinner, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I did not have the opportunity to use the spa but I will next time that I visit. If the event that I attended is held again next year, I will stay there again.
L. W.
Staff were great, room clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom modern and water pressure good. Decent size fridge which is a plus with kids. Only downside was we were placed on level 1 and could hear the garbage trucks and staff in the early morning. 1 lift was broken and no staff lift so everyone shares one lift which can be slow at times. Also self service washer and dryer in hotel $4 a load and $4 to dry which usually takes 2 cycles. Overall great hotel and staff very friendly.
B. P.
Clean enough, though finer details are regretfully missed, like around the base of hallways and general slack attention to detail. Rooms are quite on the worn side with chips in the bathroom and water stains on walls from previous guests. The lifts are so unstable and are not pleasant at all, staff all know of this problem and I am sure it's been like that for several months, they are extremely noisy and had to have air-conditioner on to drown out the noise. I had asked the duty manager regarding the lifts and was told management knew. The staff are approachable and respectful. Food was delicious and clean sheets/towels are as expected. I don't think I would recommend a professional engagement as the accommodation seems well overdue for the pricing.
R. G.
Room was great, had an awesome view of the parklands, very noisy hotel up until about 3am and the smell of cigarette smoke every time you left your room was disappointing. The staff were very polite and professional
R. S.
The guy at the reception was friendly enough he just forgot to tell me that Monday was a public holiday and the room was not cleaned ! They could do with a second person at reception as he was very busy and everyone had to wait . The Hotel is badly in need of a face lift . The Spa, gym and pool area has seen better days a bit grubby. The Hotel is approx a 3 km walk from the CBD/ Rundle mall about 30 minute walk . The park area and free car park is a plus .
K. H.
There for a seminar. Comfortable room quite no traffic sounds located in the East part of building the audience numbers approximately eighty. Air conditioning kept the room comfortable. Chairs adequate for the 90 minutes or so presentation. There was a very limited waiting area outside including foyer. All very compact. It was standing in a passage waiting access to the room.
Ƭ. D.
For the price, the room was fine.
The things that’ll get me going back is the friendly service and secure car parking unlike another hotel on south terrace
J. R.
4 stars for the excellent customer service and clean and refreshed room. The L6 lounge opened today and the staff, coffee quality, breakfast was awesome (views amazing). I can't wait to try dinner.
Minus 1 star for construction work (not advertised) and the poor Internet service. To their credit they offered everything to solution it. Using the wall socket for internet allowed me to McGuiver my laptop as an access point for my two phones so look forward to the upgrades they are planning.
Book here. You won't be disappointed. Good rates. Thanks Food and Beverage and front office staff as you make the difference A+++
D. R.
Overall beds were decent. Bathroom was great. But ripped out dated carpets in the room was an eye sore. They tried covering with the beds but still noticeable. Location was decent pretty close to everything.
J. l. C.
We had dinner there. Great views. Good service. Food average. Had a meal deal so not to bad for pricing but would have been disappointed if paying full price. Pub food for silver service pricing on mains as need to buy sides as well. Had pork belly main. Thin pieces and not that tender. End one dry. Hubbies steak was nice he said. My entree of dumplings was suppost to be steamed but came out wet so guess was boiled in water and not tender that steaming usually does. Had to wait long time for entree then mains when not that busy. Hate to see waiting times on a full house.
M. L.
A big shout out to the amazing girls in the cafe. Jade Wehrmann, Danie Soteriou and Nicole Holdworth. You are the best. Such a warm welcome and genuine ‘service with a smile’ which is very rare these days. Thank you so much.
J. L.
Fantastic rooms and spas. Rooftop bar is very good. Lovely experience for a quick getaway. Breakfast in ground floor Cafe was a little disappointing though (plates / cups not clean, food could be a lot hotter)
K. P.
I thought that it was close to the Parklands train station, but it is not. Also the carpet in our room was a bit hot and miss. The bathroom had just been renovated and looked good but no bench space and the room we had had a lot of traffic noise. The staff we had dealing with were very helpful and courteous. Would I stay again.i don't think so.
J. L. B.
Chose this accommodation as it was within walking distance of a venue we were attending. The room is showing its age with hand basin showing wear and tear and the curtains hanging of the track. Apart from those couple of things the room was very comfortable, breakfast 'On the deck' was great and all the staff were very friendly.
J. B.
Tidy and clean; a little dated on the rooms and limited technology- wise. Gym a little worn out, but lovely spa and an indoor but open ceiling pool with spa.
Top floor restaurant on the Adelaide skyline for breakfast, coffee or dinner is spectacular!
G. S.
The rooms are well appointed, with the bathroom renovated fairly recently. The location is great if doing business at the southern end of the city or showgrounds precinct. Rooms on the first floor can be a little noisy if there is something going on in the bar below... but besides that, a good nights sleep is easy to be had.
S. D.
Great service, friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location for the Adelaide Royal Show and all other places when visiting the area. Well priced and very clean. Would definitely recommend! We left an item in the room, called the staff and they found it and posted it back to us, couldn't have done it better. Thank you Rydges Adelaide!
S. J.
This is a great Rydges with a great intimate atmosphere and friendly staff who are helpful and accommodating. This was the first time I had been to Adelaide and I found the experience very enjoyable and the location was fantastic and we had no problems with getting to the places we wanted to go. We look forward to staying again in the future!
S. S.
Stayed for 2 nights with my grandaughter and loved it. Friendly staff, rooms were spotless and the beds were very very comfortable. The wifi was a bit slow but other than that it was perfect.
L. W.
Be aware of what you have paid for because there are a lot of 'extras' once you have booked your room. Rooms were clean but need a face-lift. I still love the view and breakfast was very satisfying.
J. A.
Bit old but very clean and in good location
V. V.
We stayed four nights. Room was small but clean. Aircon worked. Bed and pillow was comfortable. Unfortunately room wasn't cleaned on one of the days. Nice pool and spa.
Breakfast spread is very basic.
Hotel is in a central location & close to the heart of the Adelaide CBD area. Adelaide oval and Adelaide zoo are close by.
S. S.
Great staff at reception. Noisy and shaky elevator that so badly needed a service, you could hear it from the room, and it jerks at every floor. The aircon in the room was also noisy. Neat room, but dated. Maintenance in this building seems neglected
K. H.
This is a shoutout to Sushant (nicknamed Sushi) who cancelled my booking.com stay and re did it directly through Rydges so that I would be eligible to use my $100 travel voucher. Amazing customer service from him as always! - Kirsty Harrison
G. e. R.
It's a great Venue and wonderful staff. However, the space does not offer a much open feeling at some floors.
S. P.
Excellent value. Five star not because its a 5 star hotel but because it is a good hotel serving the lower price range for Adelaide in style. Far far better than most others. The room was spacious and clean and with a great view of the south west from our 5 th floor. You need to look over the cemetry in the parklands to watch the aircraft land but that didnt matter. Having a table and two chairs is a bonus today. Room service of our bowl of tasty duck fat fried potatoe wedges was a treat for the afternoon relax. A decent size flat screen tv beats most of its competitors in the price range. The bathroom is presented well although its age is evident. Shower over the bath may not suit all folk but was fine for us. The normal tubes of lotion, shampoo and soap were decent quality but absent in other hotels at the lower end price.
The bed comfortable and firm. One of the best things on our hot day was the very effective airconditioner. Perhaps traffic noise was a little intrusive from 6.30 am but well within acceptable limits for us.
A huge plus was having a very good restaurant and bar on site. Absolutely loved our slow cooked tender lamb shanks.
Oh.. The pool was clean a refreshing. Fairly small and again it was a little aged but crystal clean and refreshing. A big thank you Rydges.

Very clean comfortable accommodation. Front of house staff were friendly and helpful at checkin and checkout. Good sized suite. Just need to get that other lift repaired !!

Celebrated special Birthday
Very nice meal Great view from the top great place to spend time with family staff Very friendly felt welcome 👍🍺
A. H.
We had a lovely meal in the dining room with fantastic views of the city of Adelaide. The staff were very good and the food was excellent.
K. S.
Staff are always friendly. Food is good.
T. M.
The value for your money is unbelievable. Room size was good. The plate I received had a steak that you could almost fit into your mouth at once and was overcooked (asked for rare and got medium), and a few pieces of asparagus. We were really disappointed with the location.
S. A.
Really wonderful service. Room is nice, a good size and very clean. Cafe staff are so lovely and the buffet breakfast is so good.
r. R.
Great people. Good upstairs bar, great bar food, good wiews from the bar, rooms clean ,slightly showing their age, but great for a overnight stay, close to airport, and city. Would stay again. Good breakfast.
C. A.
I have stayed here on a few occasions over the years and it has been great. This time I was here filming as part of a Presentation in one of the conference rooms. The place is in a great location and the staff were very helpful and happy and willing to help.
M. C.
Lovely food. Drinks are good value. Strong measure of Gin and Tonic - thank you barkeep! ;) Had pre-dinner nibbles downstairs before a wedding reception which were delicious - just managed to leave enough room for the reception meal!
B.
My Grandparents and Uncle stayed at this place, we booked for them and really great prices, a bit awkward getting in though it is in the edge of the city and once you work it out it is good. Nice rooms and food was great.
We ended up recommending this to many and all good responses, walking is a bit of a far stretch though transport easy, Uber was tiny car so we recommend a better option with a South Australian who knows the places to go.
J. G.
Rooms are clean and quiet. Handy location although not much in the way of dining within walking distance. Parklands on two sides offer nice views and the traffic noise is OK. For the price I keep coming back.
t.
Pretty good value for the groupon voucher. Good room with comfortable bed and neat bathroom. Free brekky. Only minus point is the $10 parking fee which should be free of charge for guest's.
M. C.
Nice place and decently priced. Will always come back here 😁
Staff are lovely and helpful too
Only issues are pillows are a bit cheap and nasty like most hotels and you cant always get a park in the carpark. Definitely think the car park needs to be improved for more car parking spots
D. S.
Best service ever in Australia - I stayed here to do a training session and I ended up in a room that faced the streets which was kinda noisy. I mentioned it to the events manager and right away she talked to the rooms manager and got my room changed to a much more quiet room away from the streets. They even moved my stuff so when I got back to my room, everything was already in order (drinks in the fridge, dress shirt hanging, etc). I even had a nice note on the table with a bottle of wine!
Huge thumbs up for Vic and Stamatia!!!
T. M.
It's a bit of a walk to the city centre but a 10 min walk through the park got me to the tram that goes into town. Warm greeting as always and staff are always accommodating. Hotel was clean and tidy. I will be a bit more careful next time I book here though, and will probably opt for dining out.
C. D.
Room was average, mouldy bathroom, cracked tiles, broken drawer in room. Had fridge stolen from vehicle in a 'secure' compound. We have always stayed here, not anymore ...😔
B. M. (. M.
We booked out the top floor for a 3 day training event and it has spectacular panoramic views of the hills, parklands and greater Adelaide. The facilities were excellent and there was sufficient on site car parking for 30 cars. However, public transport to this southern pocket of the city is non existent and the building is quite dated outside.
M. A.
Rydges Adelaide is my 'go to' for a staycation (lazy sleepins and good food) as it is located in the south western corner of the city and offers beautiful views. The cafe offers great snacks and coffee 😀☕.
NOTE: This review is for the SUPERIOR QUEEN room I had over the long weekend.
**Spa rooms are spacious and modern - definitely 4/5 st⭐rs
My Queen room was very tired and staff told me it is due to be refurbished - bring it on asap Rydges!! To be fair in my review, I will break down my ratings out of 5 for aspects any travellor needs to know BEFORE booking.
● ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐Reception, staff and service
● ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Restaurant
● ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Views from balcony
● ⭐Bed pillows - old, lumpy or hard and flattened
● ⭐⭐Bed mattress- old, uncomfortable and squeaky with tired linen
● ⭐⭐⭐⭐Bathroom cleanliness
● ⭐ Shower - mouldy grout and annoying round taps: excellent water pressure!
● ⭐Furniture - outdated, scuffed and chairs had stains and tears
Rydges is still a nice place to stay but there is NOTHING SUPERIOR about the rooms on this floor. Choose the renovated floors on the lower levels!!!
H. F.
Beautiful food presented well with excellent service. The carparking is the downside: gated, but outdoors at $15.00 set fee. Fortunately I was not paying for the meal.
S. W.
The room was okay but not much room for the price. I should have checked for a better price on an accommodation website rather than going to the front desk.
The hotel is a bit worn out but some work is being done to the worn out lifts.
T. P.
Had a seminar at this small but nice hotel. Easy access location. No fuss with on street parking. It has weekend hot breakfast for $22 too. Delicious.
C. S.
If you just wanted a good place to stay with affordable price this is it. It's not a 5 star hotel so don't expect it to be 5 stars. It's not that clean but I'm ok with it. Also we found a live cockroach in the toilet and they moved us to a different room.
N. H.
Good service. Rooms feel a bit work out. But overall it's ok
C. C.
Nice hotel, Nothing fancy. Good value for money. Housekeeping did not make our bed, even after we hung the "Please make up our room" sign on the door knob? They did give us fresh towels and soaps though. You need a dumb token to get out of the car park every time you want to leave with your car! (Strange and annoying). Other than that average, for a few dollars more we will just stay at the Sebel on North tce.
M. S. (. D.
Beautiful room overlooking the park that lights up nicely at sunset. Friendly service. Clean and tidy.
A. A.
I attended for a professional presentation on the 6th floor. Food and staff were very good. Unfortunately there was too much outside street noise during the talk, even though it was mic'd up and we were up that high. Apart from that, can't really fault it and definitely recommend for social events.
L. C.
Service was friendly and very helpful. The only thing I could fault was the bed. I think it's time for new beds.
N. B.
It was a good stay, shared the room with a friend. The rooms were clean and spacious, the breakfast buffet was great and it wasn't too much of a walk to the conference we were attending
I. M.
Home to the City of Adelaide Lions Club. Nice venue with good food and drink and friendly and efficient staff. Parking on-site at 10aud. I have no idea what it would be like to stay here but what I did see was good.
J. w.
The hotel is ok. The rooms are a bit dated but not bad. The restaurant is pretty average and quite pricey. Find somewhere else to eat if your staying here
J. O.
Amazing hotel with amazing service. I cannot fault staying at Rydges. The staff were professional the whole time. The limited food and drinks we had there were delicious and the beds comfy.
R. K.
We stayed here for two nights on a weekend away from Victoria. The room was lovely, the beds were comfy. Staff were attentive, we are very impressed.
A.
She's an old building but they are doing their best to keep her Bright and happy with the budget they get.
The staff are amazing and the food is great!
It's a good hotel at an average price.
L. S.
Reasonable location for the city area. Close to airport. Hotel has had a facelift but things like the poor mechanical condition of the lift highlight some major shortcomings. The 6th floor restaurant is convenient but the meal was very average.
R. B.
Nothing in fridge and no drink machines
S. R.
I stayed here for 2 nights as we ran a conference at the venue. Staff were friendly and the facilities were good. I will definitively use the Rydges in Adelaide again.
T. D. T.
My room was very noisy, and facing a 4 lane highway overlooking the cemetery. No complementary water, and they still insist on a credit card surcharge. Rooms are average for the price.
T. B.
An excellent room and helpful, genuine staff. Dinner upstairs was tasty and well priced. We're coming back soon!
k.
We had a wonderful time
Nicole, Lisa and Bruce looked after us so well next time we need a hotel in the city we will be back
c. R.
accommodation, view and services was great, the only thing wrong was a small inconvenience with the car parking being full but don't let that stop you.
A. H.
Stayed in spa suite. Room was amazing, great atmosphere. Front desk and elevator a bit dated but otherwise great hotel with friendly staff.
S. R.
Amazing hotel, have stayed here on numerous occasions, a lot of the rooms have had works done on them to refresh the rooms and they are looking great, the staff are outstanding. Every stay is just so easy and relaxing.
E. S.
Has been a great stay, location is close to the city and they have nice rooms and great eating options with a cafe and a restaurant. We would definitely stay again if we were ever down this way again.
J. E.
Very pleasant hotel.Comfy and clean. .2nd floor traffic noise if facing the highway.
T. L.
Was there for a business breakfast event. The food was great. The conference room was poorly maintained and had dirty interior glass above the door frame and poorly done patchwork on the ceiling.
N. G.
Great stay. By far the best Rydges out of Brisbane, Parramata & St Kilda.
Clean modern rooms and comfy bed. Pitty about the noisy lifts. Ask for a room away from the lift
I think the others need to take a lesson from Adelaide none the less
C. B.
Very good hotel, despite the difficulties linked to the sanitary situation the staff is very attentive and welcoming, and the rooms are clean.
R. S.
Nice enough. Nice staff. Small gym but nice pool. Fairly busy road outside though. Bar shut before 9pm.
P. Z.
The food was of a high standard and nice view over the parklands. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Free WiFi available and full buffet breakfast was fantastic.
A. P.
Great hotel, now that the rooms have been refurbished! Also had room service, which was delicious and arrived promptly. A great stay all round - thank you!
N. B. P. (. N.
Very nice best room ever Rm414 👌 my partner Aldo surprised me for my birthday organised with the staff to fill room with roses and champagne , wow they did a fantastic job it was beautiful , 10/10 and room service perfect the view at night time wow 👌 ❤️💙💙 see pictures 😍
C. Z.
A bit out of town but close to the free bus and tram.Rooms a bit tired but neat and comfortable. Restaurant is excellent as is breakfast.Staff are all professional and friendly. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
O. M. J.
Not too shabby, good value for the price paid. Room was quite clean, but somewhat small and view was of a carpark, mattress was far too soft.
M. P.
Excellent staff, wonderful buffet, clean and comfortable rooms. Very much enjoyed my stay and would definitely be happy to return.
J. B.
We had a great night at the Skyline Restaurant. Such friendly staff and Kate was very lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend for good service and food.
A. M.
Amazing hotel.
I loves our suite
And the restaurant on top. The service, everything.
What a wonderful breakfast as well!
P. W.
A reasonable hotel, but it's becoming dated. The hotel generally is clean neat and tidy, but, chips, scuff marks and loose fittings in some places shows that it is beginning to show is agree. Staff writer plant but the breakfast was very average - quite stale.
R. T.
Very clean comfortable room. View from restaurant would be lovely in daytime. Beef cheeks for dinner "mouthwatering". Great value & location.
M. J.
Very friendly at booking, very friendly at checking in, rooms and bathroom clean and tidy, our overall rating would be 9 out of 10 if there were no late evening noises as if from use of rubbish chute. Therefore I must rate 7 out of 10.
S. M.
Heavenly beds! Amazing jacuzzi in the suite overlooking the park. Fantastic stay! Staff are so kind and helpful too!
P. N.
Rooms are good with new aircon, great shower and spa. Bar on the top is good as well. A bit on the pricey side. Elevator needs refurbishment
L. W.
Front room nice and clean. Street noise a bit noisy until late at night
E. S.
Great stay. Staff fantastic, room was great especially the spa. Food was absolutely terrific such a great taste sensation.
M. D.
Attended an event at the Skyline function area. The setup, views and space are fantastic. The lifts and need of a hard refurb however let the place down a lot.
D. D.
No. Drink service at our tables...the entre WAS ..Cold...the main.. the Steak was cooked perfectly... no enough bread roll...
The dessert was Dry uninteresting..$60-00 per head...was very poor..and being alternate drop...was a very expensive...would not recommend it..
A. T.
Positives:
Room was clean and tidy and spacious,
Plenty of cupboard and shelf space,
Safe available for use,
Housekeeping was good,
Offered ‘green’ service (you skip housekeeping service to be kind to the planet)
Well stocked mini bar (albeit a tad expensive, but to be expected),
Sewing kit included in room
Offered complementary travel service to city M-F 7-10am
Negatives:
Internet slow and patchy with constant interruptions causing frustration due to drop outs,
Curtain didn't close properly due to hook missing so let light in,
Shower head old style non-water saving with poor water pressure (required twice as long to rinse out shampoo and conditioner),
Alarm clocks (yes, there were two!) did not work,
Only one gluten free main course (pork belly) on room service menu,
Reception didn't answer phone calls several times during manned hours
d. D.
Clean and tidy, breakfast was lovely, no shuttle bus was available atm. Friendly staff
S. T.
I was here for a Dan Murphys Whisky Tasting event. The facilities were great and there were no hastles with anything. The view from the function area on the 6th floor overlooking the parklands and South Tce/Weat Tce intersection were amazing.
Z. T. (.
Excellent service and a beautiful clean suite, will definitely come back
J. B.
Attended social function and was pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail provided. Rooms were clean and well presented, location provided easy access to parking.
N. M.
I enjoyed my stay, nice and clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Only downside: Not much of a gym
S. B.
Room was fantastic, easy access to car parking and the spa tub was great, will stay here again
P.
A little way out, but the breakfast was great.
@. R.
Located bit far from city. 15 mins driver to CBD.
Hotel Provides complimentary drops to City in the morning!
Upset with Gym space and equipments.
M. Q.
We were at level 6 for a function - beautiful view and friendly helpful staff. Location was at the other side of the city, quieter so easy access to park car on the.side
A. M. b.
Yeah a nice place to stay, rooms are clean its not a noisy hotel, concierge service was good and happy to assist, location is very helpful.had a good stay all weekend.
K. J. K.
In room phone didn't work and the road noise was annoying but ear plugs fixed that. The bed was excellent and staff friendly and helpful
X. C.
I've stayed at more upscale and pricy, but so far the Rydges have surpassed, some, the staff was informed and very helpful the room clean and was a breath of fresh air.
B. S. N.
Super beautiful place for meetings and for just chilling out with their great food and coffees. I liked the Adelaide view when I was on the 6th floor, so amazing
D. V.
A little bit tired but not too bad for the price. Friendly staff. Was here for work and would stay there again. Beds were comfy.
V. L.
Have enjoyed many functions here and really enjoyed the views, menu that caters for all tastes and friendly service. Conveniently located 10 mins from airport and parking is easy with valet or on street.
R. B.
Great restaurant and bar and pool areas.
N. P.
Weak internet connection in room 602, was the same in 604 when stayed last year resulting in no internet access...very dissapointing. Last week had a room facing the city side with no internet problems.
Seams rooms on 6th floor facing parklands should be avoided if relying on reliable internet connection.
V. G.
Room was great, staff were really helpful and friendly
A. K.
good staff, we use it for company meetings, never had an issue. there is a small bar on the top floor, which stocks a good variety for its size
P. K.
Rooms are dated but not bad. Lumpy pillows. ☹️ Staff are good and food was great. Location was ok.
P. C.
Affordable, good quality hotel walking distance to vibrant Chinatown and restaurants. Correct price to quality point for an inter-state trip of one or two nights.
J. S.
Good for quick stays, standard amenities, a simple all in one gym setup and friendly helpful staff along with an extremely helpful shuttle service
J. C.
The staff is very friendly. Rooms are nice and spacious with a balcony. Not many options available for dining.
L. E.
Great service & amazing breakfast every time!!
F. L.
Attended a meeting. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. But did not stay there
M. C.
Friendly staff and always clean, we had a revamped room last stay which was great which they seem to be getting around to the rest of the hotel
A. K.
Clean and tidy. Rooms even have dimmable lights.
Only down point is that the car park can be a bit full if you arrive late.
T. C.
Had a great stay, friendly staff and nice facilities
T. B.
Some nice place to stay but steak wasn't that good
S. S.
Bed comfy, bathrooms nice but rest of room could a bit of a refresh. Breakfast is best purchased in a cafe in the city.
S. T.
Nice, clean hotel on busy street. Walk across street to parks with gorgeous gardens and birds.
T. S.
