B. M.Basic room with private bathroom and air-conditioning. The bed was quite uncomfortable. The guy on reception was really friendly and helpful, answering my many questions. The hostel is in a great location, close to Caxton St, Suncorp stadium and public transport.

Booked a night and was given a used dirty room but it was sorted out very quickly and was into another very fast.

S.Room was good and weekly rate was super fair but the reception staff were pretty rude (except nice man with long hair and Scottish girl!) Lady who checked us in was maybe overworked and got mad at me when I asked if I could move out of the basement on floor one when available (dark down there!), huffing at us around the hostel afterwards. Bit weird. But after that the hostel was fine. PS no byo alcohol allowed! I didn't know before checking in

M. M.Private rooms with ensuite are great! A good size and kept clean by good cleaners. The manager is excellent and kicks out trouble makers or anyone bad. Most hostels in Brisbane have criminals and homeless in them. This YHA is pretty good in this area. So its safe and big dorm rooms too.
h. l.Bring your own plate, bowl cutlery, nice place close to everything, parking is tight. Room was clean and tidy. View is awesome. Bathroom spotless.

O. M.I stayed here for a couple of days in May and wasn't impressed overall.
Starting with the good. The hostel is very clean throughout and clearly well maintained. The roof terrace has nice views over the city. It's a great place to chill out.
However, there is room for improvement. My dorm had very little natural light so it felt claustrophobic. Having the only charging points right at the back of the locker was annoying. Staff weren't friendly and seemed aggrieved to do something as little as providing change for the laundry. There is no free luggage storage, in over a year travelling this is the only hostel I've come across without free luggage storage. And, finally, the WiFi is incredibly patchy - some times it was brilliant and others completely unusable.
There are many cheaper options in the area. In my opinion it's not worth paying extra to stay here so in future I will stay somewhere else.

S. L.Stayed at this hostel for 6 nights, really nice upstairs with a pool and TV room. The reason I give it 4 stars is it's more of a hotel than a hostel, not very easy to socialize with people. Also my boyfriend got stuck in the lift twice.. it blacked out, lucky he had battery on his phone to use his light and call the emergency operators which then gave him instructions to get out.

F. S.It’s basically YHA. Since I knew about YHA it’s been always in my consideration every time I’m choosing the accommodation to stay. I’ve stayed in YHA Brisbane before. One thing that was not in expectation was the bathroom. It was not as clean as it was (I didn’t say it was dirty) but the rest was super alright.
B. H.Hostel was fine, definitely not great.
The communal areas are clearly updated but the room was not nice. Our toilet loudly moaned after every flush, which was lovely whenever someone got up in the middle of the night.
The mattresses are so hard, and you can feel the springs. The pillow was similarly hard and uncomfortable.
There was also a school or sports group staying at the hostel across the hall from our room so we got to hear yelling kids every morning and every evening as they ran between rooms slamming doors every five minutes. I obviously know their behaviour is not within the hostels control but I just found it very odd that they would allow such a large group of children to stay at a hostel. I thought you had to be of a certain age. I think there were two or three adults for approximately 10-15 kids and they clearly couldn't handle them. Anyway it made for a rude awakening every morning we were there and annoying at night when we were trying to relax in the room.
Overall hostel was fine, but wouldn't stay here again
J. D.One of the best hostels you can check in to - especially if you're a short stay that can do your drinking out of the room. With such a melting pot of cultures and age groups, the atmosphere is the attitude you bring with you. It's not perfect, but it's cleaner than any goon room you've stayed in. The location is spot on too. You won't be disappointed!
K. P.Probably one of my favourite YHAs to stay at. The rooftop balcony had a great view. Two hammocks made for a great way to spend the afternoon. Pool was small but well kept. Plenty of common areas and some smaller spaces you could go to get away from the noise. TV room was spacious and comfortable. Rooms were on the smaller side but beds were reasonably comfortable. I did get a room which backed onto the neighbouring hostel that would blast music later at night (only until 10 or 11pm I think) which made it tough if you had to sleep early and get up for an early flight. Bathrooms in good condition. Kitchen was large and very spacious. Would definitely recommend.
J. H.Great hostel with lovely rooms and plenty spacious enough for bags and everything with lockers even when the room is full. The kitchen is very well equipped with knives that actually appeared to be sharpened making it so much easier to chop. There was an abundance of fridge and dry food storage space as well with people frequently putting food in the free food section when they left rather than wasting the food. The view of Brisbane was great from the rooftop which was nice to look at when you were eating your food. It was also nice to have chilled water taps specifically for bottles and glasses which is a really nice simple touch after drinking lukewarm water at a couple of hostels,
K. C.Don't bother looking at any other hostel. This is the best. Great clean rooms, fun activities, the kitchen facility is top notch, the roof top pool is awesome. Games and media room is really nice. It's close to a grocery store, the bus/train station, and is walking distance to the river and many other shops and markets, etc. Safest, cleanest, most fun, hostel. You get every penny's worth here. I miss it SO much.
E. R.The pool is beautiful and there are many opportunities to chill out. In the afternoon there’s a great meal deal: 12$ for a burger/ wrap with chips and a basic drink. Definitly worth it. In the afternoon you can have a lot of fun at the bar with beer pong, etc. and cash prices. The only thing I have to criticize is, that the laundry was quite expensive (6$ washing mashine, 5$ dryer). I highly recommend this hostel.
Very good hostel. The rooms were clean and nicely done up. There are two showers and a seperate toilet in each dorm, which was great. The staff was nice and friendly.

N. S.I book for 2 weeks there no problem and I pass a very good time. Friendly staff and helpful, this hostel is very nice. There is an activity every night (at the pub close to the reception), which makes it fun. If you need to wash your clothes they’ve got washers and driers. If you wanna cook your own meal, there’s a big kitchen with ample storage space. Amazing rooftop and swimming pool.
In terms of location, it’s not too farm from the city and it’s a good area.

The beds were pretty uncomfortable and there was no charging ports by your bed which was a huge hassle, the bathroom were very old and dim lit. There is a nice kitchen and lounge area were nice to have. A coffee shop right inside which is also nice. Overall it’s a decent enough place!
M. E.Very nice and very clean. Everything was in order for my room. Bathrooms and sinks we're all like new. Walls were a bit bumped up but had no real effect on my stay. Layout it cozy, location is good for walking as well. As an overnight guest this was just right for me.

The rooms were nice and spacious, the bathrooms were spotless with brand new modern fixtures. The hostel itself had a lot of character, and the common rooms, patio, lobby, and elevators were modern and well decorated. The pool was lovely, and a very nice surprise. This is the best value for my money that I have ever seen at a YHA and I would recommend this hostel in a heartbeat.
K. K.Had a private room with in suite bathroom and it was comfortable and clean. Towels were provided. Woman with dark curly hair tried to charge me $20 extra to extend my stay for another night, which felt super sketchy. Not sure if that money would’ve went straight into her pocket but really didn’t expect that from a YHA. Went to another women at reception with short hair and she gave me the rate I paid for. Should’ve got her name as YHA are usually safe places you can trust.

Nice, clean comfortable rooms. I was hardly there as I was always out and about but I was central to everything. If I didn’t walk I was using an electric scooter. Friendly, helpful staff. Good for a short period. Comfortable, walls are thin so u can hear the people in the next room. Don’t forget to pac ear plugs. Overall good experience for the short time frame. No faults. Good rates considering there are 4-5 other backpackers in close

J. B.Affordable and quite clean. Good security and friendly staff. Good facilities but half of the kitchen equipment does not work. Free wifi is artificially made super slow to get you to pay for premium and it is only available in the reception area or cafe, not in the rooms or any place you would hang out at.
N. N.Check in was fast, and although I had to upgrade rooms at the last minute, Vanessa looked after me and her customer service was great! As I'm not from around the area and asked if there were good restaurants nearby, she gave me helpful directions. Staff are very nice here, the rooms are kept clean and tidy, and facilities are maintained to a high standard. They have a pool, laundry, kitchen, lounge area and more for guest use, and a cafe conveniently located right next door. If you do visit the cafe, buy the English muffin, you won't regret it - only downside is no free breakfast but the muffin makes up for it. Trust me.
T. A.Stayed here for 5 nights in Brisbane and it was everything I needed in a hostel. Friendly staff, clean rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable beds and bedding. Close enough to other hostels and to everything within walking distance. Price was ideal. Would recommend to any backpacker!
S. L.We booked a room for 2 with shared bathroom. They provided us the towels and the bathroom is quite tidy. The rooftop has a stunning view and a swimming pool but they don’t provide food there.
At night, lots of young people are still having fun. They sing and dance with music, it’s like back in my uni days in Europe.
At the reception they provide lots of activities and shuttle to the airport. The people are really nice.
I like this place. But I feel I’m a bit too old for it. Anyway 😛
M.The location is a little out of the way if you're after easy access to the CBD but you really can't argue with the value and quality of the rooms. This is a great place for a short stay in Brisbane. If you're driving they do have parking but it's pretty expensive. The only alternative is street parking, which will require a bit of hunting and a lot of uphill walking to get back to the hostel...
K. a. W.The hostel is really well located, near to Roma Street Station and local amenities (incl. a Coles, cinema and restaurants) - it forms part of a strip of hostels all next to one another. The team are (mostly) really friendly and helpful and I really appreciated that they let me check in early on my arrival after a long flight.
The hostel has a rooftop pool and bar next to the kitchen which was always buzzing with people.
The rooms in the block that houses reception seem nicer and more comfortable than the other block.
子.No free luggage storage, there are lockers, safer but you need to pay for it. Rooftop pool and the terrace is nice (the city view itself isn’t as good tho don’t put your hopes up) The entire hostel is clean and modern, also there’s a spacious kitchen. Staffs are friendly. The cafe serves breakfast with reasonable price.
K. T.The cleanest and just the best hostel I’ve ever been to in every aspect, including service, room size, social areas, AC and more. Not the cheapest but the only one in the area that didn’t smell like alcohol from afar. The pool on the rooftop with space for sunbathing was a good bonus
O. J.Stayed 2 weeks in 4 bed dorm. It's hard to appreciate how good this hostel is until you stay in many bad ones. Great location, great views, awesome kitchen, decent rooms and beds, nice common areas and a great coffee downstairs. All this for a very good price.
Seriously, things like always having a dry tea towel, sharp knife, enough plates, oven, enough fridge space available in the kitchen makes a huge difference. A comfy sitting in the TV room or a work desk in the adjacent room or a hammock at the rooftop allows to find that perfect spot for any activity inside.
Proximity to the river bikeway is also great. Good for running and there's a small outdoor gym under the Go Between bridge on the other side. Walking distance to CBD, cafes, shopping and very close to a supermarket.
No problems with cleanliness. They are cleaning all the areas many times a day.
If I could improve something it would be wifi which can get unusable (funnily enough even when it seems that everyone is out).
S. P.Great hostel, friendly staff, rooms are clean but the one we had was quit dark. The music was very loud in the corridors and so the rooms weren't so quit, which should be expected. Fortunately they turned it down when asked.

Atmosphere: I only stayed one night and didn’t notice much of a communal atmosphere, it was pretty quiet when I was there but of course that’s only after one night.
Rooms: The rooms are clean just stuffy, very little ventilation and a bit small / tightly packed I felt. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm.
Location: The hostel itself is a bit out of the way of the centre of Brisbane I felt, you’re not really close by to much, at least 25 mins walk to queen street.

M. K.A nice comfortable hostel, great for late snoozers as the curtains are really good, and you could make the room quite dark! I love YHA’s enthusiasm for caring about the environmental impact they have. Showers are clean and comfortable!
Would recommend the staff to get more equipment for the kitchen- such as sharp small knifes, sandwich presser etc. also microwaves were very dirty.

Kitchen gets PACKED at dinner sometimes and rooms in earshot of kitchen hard to sleep in when drinkers get loud while burning food on the stove and sending smoke odours out lol...Great spaces, decent pool and super friendly service. Lots of activity options and events at front desk too.
M. N.One of the better YHAs in Australia in terms of cleanliness, spaciousness and having modern facilities but the atmosphere wasn't the best although they certainly did try by putting on free games nights etc.
Bathrooms were always clean but water pressure in showers in awful.
This hostel is definitely family friendly and suitable for anyone.

I stayed one night in this Hostel. There's a night manager available and it wasn't a problem to check in after midnight. I told the guy at the reception that I want a quite room away from the railway. But I still heard the train. The room was clean and the bathroom facilities also except the toilets. I checked out 10 am and 2 of the 3 toilets were dirty. but all in all I had a good night and everything was pretty clean for Australian standards.
C. B.Right by the Roma street station and a quick walk to the art museum, man made beach, and town center. Rooms are a bit small but the price and cleanliness makes up for it. Nice rooftop lounge, plenty of kitchen space, just needs some new pans other then that 5/5.

Had the private ensuite room, which was just great.
Loads of focus on sustainability with recycling bins in rooms and common areas. Also other recycling in the halls, such as clothing and books.
Such good common areas as well with a massive (and super clean!) Kitchen, game room with pool, pinball machine and airhockey, tv room and even a small study room.
Kitchen/dining area is at the rooftop where you also have a bar and pool with killer views.
Just about 5 min walk from Roma st station where coaches and airport transfers take you.
Will definitely stay here again!

Very busy YHA branch Cons: very busy YHA. can be kinda loud with the partier types wandering around. Charge for luggage storage. Laundry is expensive. Reception area (where free WiFi in available) is tiny, with little indoor space to sit. All in all, though, I had a pleasant stay

S. C.Stayed a night in a twin ensuite. Great air con , clean spacious bathroom, huge lockers. The kitchen and dining area is also really big and the hostel has tons of other amenities. Almost feels like a hotel rather than a backpackers hostel.
M. S.We had very good experiences with YHA Brisbane in January this year. We took a private room with bath for two nights and booked our travels to Fraser Island, Uluru and our campervan there. The recommended tours where great and when we had a problem while picking up the campervan the hostel assisted immediately and made sure we were happy in the end.

V. T.Hostel is really big and it is possibly the cleanest I have ever stayed in Australia. The facilities are good although WiFi is only next to reception. Aircon in room is good, although rooms are a little on the small side. The location is great, 15 minute walk to Queen Street for shopping, 7 minute walk from Roma station where Greyhound drops you off.
A.Staying in a private room with ensuite, good basics in the room, cleans and tidy facilities. Large kitchen area for cooking, didn't feel crowded at all. Good location for going to the supermarket or a 10 min walk to CBD. Nice view from the back of the building, nice seating area outside to eat and socialise. Only downside is WiFi is not available throughout hostel
J. E.YHA is good like usual but this one is for those how want to have it more quiet and private. Not much action compare to other YHA I have stayed at and not at all similar to theirs backpackers neighbors nextdoor!

A. S.Absultely loved it. The best backpackers so far. Did cost $28/ night in 6 bed dorm. The rooms were decent with air conditioning. The toilets were super clean. They have excellent travel guide and tour arranment !!!

R. G.Great rooftop area. Would be nice if aircon was on a timer rather than controlled in a shared room you'll never get everyone happy but waking up at 3.30am covered in sweat because it is so hot isn't a nice experience. The bed was the hardest bed I've slept on in my 6 weeks in Aus (so far)
It'd be great I'd there was a comminal lounge area as well for reading and meeting. The facilities are good though tv room. Kitchen and large dining room. Internet room. Pool. Games room with pool table and arcade games.

Only thing is, I wish there were more plug ins in the room. For a 6 bed dorm, there is only one plug in (excluding the ones in the locker). As well, take the elevator on the right, ifind the gbr one smells oddly like exhaust fumes.

Cafe on ground level offers affordable food. Eg: Pasta and beer for $10 on Wednesday; burger and beer for $12 on Thursday.

WiFi is slow (but is expected given the high usage traffic).
The kitchen is not air conditioned. Can be an issue in Summer.

S. L.Rooms are a comfortable size with large lockers. Fast wifi but you have to pay for it (Should be free). Great lounge and a pool on the roof. Kitchen is very big with adequete space on the shelves and in the fridge for your things and because of the size you shouldn't have trouble with it being busy. Also the have a great sharing section in the kitchen. All plates, cutlery and cooking equipment is readily available for free. Showers and toilets are very clean with pleanty space for all your things. Would highly reccomend for short and long term. 4/5

J. T.Well run and clean YHA in Brisbane. Close to the supermarket and far enough from the city to be quite quiet but still walking distance to the bus, train station and city. Kitchen, rooftop bar and other areas were all well organised and staff was always very helpful and friendly. Free day luggage storage (not secure) and staff helped me to cut my lock after I lost the key to my padlock. Stayed in a 3 bed male dorm and it even had a desk. Used one of YHA’s ePacks
O. B. R.Good hostel, the airconditioning is great and staff is very friendly. Wifi works ok, but could be better. The premium wifi is not much faster, but gives you access to wifi in your room for 5$ a day. Neat!

The kitchen is large and equipped with all the utensils you would expect, it does become very busy at the usual meal times but I never couldn't prepare my food.
Brisbane transport centre is a 5 to 10 min walk away and local Coles supermarket just across the road.
Staff were competent, pleasant and very helpful too. I had an overall Excellent experience whilst staying here, my return already booked!

S. H.15 minutes walk from city. You can definitely walk there, even at night as it is well lit. Can be a little tiring as it goes uphill. Surrounded by other backpackers. Can be a little bit noisy if people talk in the corridor, but other than that, room is fine.

整體來說很乾淨，有提供有厚度的棉被跟枕頭，住過6人房，跟有私人浴室的四人房，公共衛浴也很乾淨，而且有乾濕分離，遇到的服務人員都很親切，喜歡頂樓的風景，晚上跟白天各有不同的樣貌，寫信詢問問題回覆的速度也很快，有提供免費的wifi,雖然有時候會有一點卡，但是是少數時候，大多時候還是跑的很快。不論6人房或4人房都會有自己的床頭燈，大部分的東西都標示的很清楚。
缺點部分
沒有提供吹風機，無法免費寄放行李，另外房間雖然有插座，但是是在置物櫃裡面，所以要充電不是很方便
交通位置跟附近的景點
距離Roma Street Station很近，走路10分鐘以內會到，但是因為旅館位於上坡處，因此如果你行李帶很多的人，走路過去時會有一點辛苦。旅館對面就有coles可以買東西，可以說是非常方便，另外建議不要看google地圖上面的路線走去超市，因為那是繞遠路，大門一出，馬路對面的樹叢旁就有一個樓梯可以過去，有點隱密，但是你過馬路後就會懂我在說什麼，從旅館走路出發到皇后街購物中心大約20分鐘，也很方便。走路大約10分鐘會有officeworks 跟麥當勞。

유명한곳이여서그런지 리셉션서비스도 아주 친절하였고
5층짜리건물인데 5층에는 수영장과 넓은 키친, 게임장이 있어 편안하고 즐거운 휴식을 즐길 수 있었다.
한가지 큰 단점이 있었는데 그것은 1층에서 묵었을때 휴대폰이 터지지 않아 방에서 쉬면서 휴대폰을 할 수 없었다는 점이였다 방에서 와이파이는 가능했지만 페이를 해야 사용 할 수 있었고 와이파이가 되지않아도 상관없었지만 휴대폰이 아예 터지지 않는다는것이 큰 단점으로 다가왔다.

Von der YHA Kette eines der schlechtesten Hostels.Das Free WiFi hat nicht funktioniert (auf Android) und mobile Daten gab es in unseren Zimmern in Floor 1 auch nicht. Geschweigedenn eine Sitzmöglichkeit. Die Zimmer in Floor 1 sind offenbar so tief, dass selbst eine Atombombenexplosion dort überstanden werden kann.
