J. C.Been here plenty of times with the food and service always being great. Today the food was exceptional I just had to leave a review.
Seafood basket was delicious, scallops and calamari a stand out. The rump pizza special was creamy and flavoursome.
Heaps of outdoor seating and a nice play area for kids out the back.
J. D.Came here for the first time for a meal with a few mates. Booked a table a few days before and that was an easy process, with good customer service. The food was amazing, you definitely get what you pay for. The drink prices were good as well. Above everything, I think the atmosphere and general vibe of the outside area we were seated was the best part. Will definitely be back 👌🏻

M. J.The Samford hotel has definitely improved since we had last been about 3 years ago. Our kids love the outdoor area and I definitely recommend it if you have small kids! There is a huge fake turf running area and we have even taken two small trikes for our twins to ride around and a couple balls for them to throw! The food is also great and they now cater to my allergies which is absolutely amazing! I am unable to eat deep fried food at most restaurants due to them not having a separate fryer from seafood products so I was beyond excited when I found I could have a good old chicken schnitzel again! Absolutely definitely recommend!

Husband ordered the Classic Parmi and I ordered the beef cheeks. He thoroughly enjoyed his food and the beef cheeks were melt in your mouth good. Absolutely amazing and would come back for them.
The downside was the cost of drinks. $12 for a Cruiser and $12 for a Canadian Club is an absolute ripoff and the Hoteliers should be ashamed of themselves.
However, on a positive note, our server Lincoln was the bomb! Friendly, helpful, accommodating and bloody funny to boot. Don’t lose that one, he’s a keeper!!

Food was great, big serves. Caesar salad with chicken is a winner.
Entree calamari was perfect, that's my go to next time.

J. H.My meal was delicious,I had seafood curry, my only compliant is I think the rice was placed on my plate not very warm, then the curry sauce over the top, so my meal started if warm then cooled very quickly.

D. B.I had pizza. It looked great. Something was missing though. Either the base sauce or cheese wasn't right. Partner had steak. It can be tough to cook steak medium to well done and still be tender. I took a bite and I'll just say my jaw got a workout.

J. K.We usually visit after a morning session fishing at the nearby North Pine Dam. The Rump or Rib Fillet Steaks are grilled perfectly and the Chicken Parmigiana is delicious. Staff here are friendly and helpful.

J. O.Had the pleasure to celebrate Valentine's Day lunch at the Samford Hotel. The hotel located in Main Street Samford has a relaxed atmosphere, I found the staff to be friendly & went out of their way to make you feel welcome.
The Samford Hotel has a large verandah at the front of the hotel where you can relax & enjoy a cold glass of your favourite beverage.
There is a Sports Bar located at the front of the hotel, which is filled with local Memorabilia, many of the items displayed on the walls would have been used in the early settlement of the Samford district.
QR scanning is required on entry to this hotel there are two areas that I found on entry through the verandah area & the other when going straight into the restaurant area.
The restaurant is located towards the left hand rear side of this establishment, very easy to access & the bar area is in a user friendly to the restaurant.
We ordered two 400gram Steaks, both were cooked to perfection, a fresh serving of chips & salad was also served. Highly recommend trying a steak on your visit to this hotel.
The Samford Hotel offers a fantastic selection of meals on their menu, prices of all meals is reasonable.
The hotel offers a great selection of craft beers & other assortment of beer & a wonderful range of wines & spirits.
The one thing I noted was the amount of seating that was available at the Samford Hotel, more than enough to cater for large groups.
My recommendation if going to this hotel is to make a reservation in advance.
The Samford Hotel has a large area for children to play & just have fun, this is located at the rear of the premises just down from the restaurant area.
From what I observed it is important to try & make a selection of what meals you require as early as possible as the restaurant area is very popular & I found that I received our meals in a timely manner.
The Samford Hotel has air-conditioning in most areas, but a lot of the doorway & window areas are open.
There are areas of the hotel with large fans operating, mainly in the area near the where the children play area is located.
I was more than impressed with my meal & visit to the Samford Hotel. Will definitely recommend this unique hotel when I have visitors.😋🍹🍺🍸🍗🍿🥩🍔😋

P.Whilst the wait staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was quite nice, I was a little shocked to be charged $2 to swap out fries for mashed potatoe, and charged $2 for a tiny dollop of aoli sauce. Since when to get get charged to swap out? Never experienced this before, and I did think it was a bit of a cheek.

Quite a nice venue. We sat in the beer garden area, outdoors, but covered.
Two of us ordered Rib Fillet with mash and veges, other two had pizzas (2 for1 deal on Tuesdays)
Start with the pizzas... they looked pretty good, and they tasted good too. Of course, I can only take the word of the diner who chose the vegetarian version. But I did try a small piece of the Supreme... quite tasty.
The steaks were ok. Just ok. Not special in any way. Mine was a bit overdone for 'medium rare'. The veges, while plentiful, were also very ordinary. Just steamed carrot, broccoli and cauliflower and a big dollop of ordinary mash potato. The mushroom sauce came in a thimble!
So, an ok meal, but at the price of $37 for steak and veg, I expect it to be presented with a little more obvious 'love'. Like, giving a decent serve of mushroom sauce (or other sauce of choice) would have a been major improvement! Seriously, I serve up a far better steak and vege at home.
If I had just had pizza, maybe it could have been 4 stars?
P. W.Wish it was better. Some very good staff but the majority not so. Food is very poor and overpriced. Would only get two stars but the beer is good. Would be good if the head chef cared about creating good food or maybe they get dictated to by management. Could be great country pub, hope things change, would love to give five stars for my local.

Food was delicious and came out really soon after ordering. Was a nice atmosphere and just what I was after for a family dinner out.

K. G.If you have special dietary needs, make sure when giving the order staff record this. My wife's meal was delivered but not with gluten free chips as ordered, the meal was sent back to be corrected. By the time eaten my lunch her meal had still not arrived, we either another 10 minutes and still nothing, I approached the manager to ask where the meal was. 5 minutes later her meal arrived with gluten free chips and an extra piece of steak.

J. C.A really nice casual atmosphere here and the food is great! I ordered the pork belly and it wasn’t too fatty or dry which can be the downfall of the dish. The crackling was lacking salt and wasn’t very crispy but the quality of the meat was really good. The steak sandwich was really great value and used really fresh ingredients. L. M.I don't understand. Huge place. Went on a Sunday for lunch , They said we cannot accommodate you all for lunch. Ok back and forth, we lost few people, then they said ok you can sit at the back. Waiting times are 40min, ok sure. We sit in an area with two long extra tables, empty all the time we were there. Meals arrived 10min after we ordered. We were 12. Not sure they have their act together . Would i recommend or go back for group meal.. no. Having so many other options around. I guess they will say covid times.

Included prawns, calamari (best I've ever had), scallops,salad, massive piece of fish very tasty, chips and side salad. Will go there every time I'm in Samford. ONLY downer was there was no cheap steak options and I was in the mood for steak but all $40-$45 expensive cuts (Wagyu organic grass fed something or another) bit exey $ for a pub. Otherwise can't fault it was super big and super tasty loved the food.

J. B.We went as a group of 4 for Wednesday night Steak Night. It was quite busy so I suggest booking. One of the best "Steak Night/Pub Steaks" I've had. For $20 you get a sizeable steak, chips, salad and a dinner roll. Surprisingly large meal for the price. Delicious array of sauces too.
Hats off to the kitchen - as you go to order you can see how busy the grill chef is in the kitchen, and they took about 20 minutes to come out. But really, if you want a nice steak and a drink in a relaxed pub setting, this is the place. Must check out their steak nights!

The only problem with this place (but it's the same EVERYWHERE in Samford) depending when you go - is the parking. Parking can be a real challenge in the main street at Samford.
E. L.I went on a Monday night and booked a table through their online booking system which was super easy. Honestly the venue is super chilled and has good ambience and lots of spaces to sit. The waiters were super helpful and lovely. The menu is good. They have specials with the monday special being $18.95 parmie. The food came out super quick.... and the food is huge and amazing. It is super super super tasty, huge portion, really worth your money and I would 100% recommend eating here. Nothing to fault. Best "pub" feed I have had in Brisbane yet.

IT is dirt though there is some shaded spots if you are lucky.We had the risotto and it was very lovely just the right amount of food.Some items are a bit expensive than usual for a Pub meal but the quality is good.

We got a table up the top near the front deck, and the food was great and the staff where friendly but this part needs to be changed because of how rude he was towards us, he made us feel very unwelcome,
i was quite upset by this attitude towards not only me but my Wife and daughter

K. K.When you’ve been for a lovely drive up the mountain range make sure you stop in at this very special pub for an icy cold beer as you watch the sunset. A wonderful town with lots of four legged lovely local horses that are also welcome here. Service with a smile, clean and sparkly premises, lots of parking close by, great prices and fantastic views.

Loved by locals and day trippers alike, the pub boasts excellent food, decent beer and wine selection, great outdoors dining and a huge fenced kids play area.
The staff are very attentive and friendly, even when busy nothing is a hassle. At least 4 different staff served us last visit and all were excellent!
Food appears to be your standard offerings at first glance, but it's is done very well with fantastic sides and trimmings. Most if not everything made on site or locally. Even the fisherman's basket itself is edible!
Last visit we had carvery night, was excellent value and quality. Haven't had a better roast since we were in the UK, had all the trimmings including crackling and horseradish sauce. The starter pea and ham soup was fantastic and the crumble desert topped everything off marvellously!
There's also a great Birthday Club, which includes a bottle and pizza for the birthday person as long as you have a group of 4+.
Next time you're heading to Mt Glorious or the Samford Valley be sure to stop by lunch or dinner!

However, what options were available felt a bit confused to me (like avocado on pizza? Why?) but others may enjoy that. Would still go again.

The food is really good quality, steaks are a bit pricey but you certainly get what you pay for in terms of quality.
Only let down has been last 2 visits my steak has been over cooked, when your paying $40 for a steak it should be cooked right. Have had sent to back and second replacement steaks were cooked perfectly.

P. S.Came in today, which is the first day they reopened since covid 19. It's clear they are taking their responsibilities seriously, and the rules they implemented are great. It's my first time here, but we will be back for sure. The prices seemed a bit high when I looked at the menu, but was happy with the quality and portion sizes, so worth the money. Caring attentive staff. Excellent experience all round.

N. L.I have been here many times over the past 10 years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious. When the kids were little, they loved hanging in the playground and we now take a ball so they can play in the closed in field. Highly recommend.

The pizzas are generally really tasty however on the most recent occasion they were over cooked.
Ensure you order your pizza before the line gets too long or you might be waiting a while.
The trivia night is good fun and entertaining if you are with a group.
I like the Samford hotel and will certainly return.
R. G.Love the atmosphere here! Kids loved the play area, set out is very relaxed. Staff are friendly. My only small let down was the menu had a lot of seafood. One pork option. Which is great but 2 people at our table (inc me) didnt eat seafood or pork and it didnt leave much to choose from unless you wanted to pay more $ for a steak so we ended up sharing a pizza instead of having a meal. Pizza was nice! Would be great to see a chicken/beef meal like a schnitzel or parmi or something on there as an option. Regardless.. we will be back :) Thankyou.
j. p.The Samford rocks when Rovics Karaoke is on. Wouldn't order the hot chips though as I received Luke warm stale ones and had to tell someone to receive hot fresh cooked ones instead. The aircon was not working properly making the place very hot and the prices for a bottle of soft drink were ridiculously expensive. Would go back for Karaoke and that's about it.

People who seemed to be locals were just sitting there drinking but a husband and wife with a baby ,that was getting a bottle had to leave as there were to many people. I understand with covid rules you are only alound 20 people. But the baby needed a bottle more than the other people drinking..

The beer garden area also has a kids playground area so it's very handy for breeders. Went for Saturday lunch, everything was nice and clean. The service was friendly. There is a nice deck out the front. Glad you guys upgraded the food quality since last time I was there. Will be back for sure.

We had the fishermans catch and grilled barramundi. Both are $30 each and were a large serving. They tasted good and we were happy with them.

It was the kids meals that were disappointing as they were over cooked to the point of being pushed aside after a few bites. I tried the chips myself and can understand why the kids pushed them aside which is a shame as they place is really well set up for kids with a large play area behind the beer garden. perhaps the person on the fryer wasn't on their game which would explain the three quarters of an hour it took our meal to be ready after ordering.

I. B.Special trip out to Samford Valley to have lunch with my family. Upon recommendations we chose the Hotel. It is a lovely welcoming place and has a great spot for the kids to be entertaine. It wasn't a busy day yet we were disappointed with our mesls. The pizza was definitely not woodfired as advertised - the base was soggy and tasteless. The chickrn burger was more a chicken roll...pre-packed and straight out of the fridge. Every single part was cold. Lovely bar staff just a poor meal.

M. R.When I head out for a quik ride, I go through Dayboro, then the roads to Samford, € stop for a feed & a drink. Lunchtime menu is reasonable, tastes good, salad is proper salad, (not just rocket leaves). The little bread roll is moreish, & they make a great lemon, lime, & bitters. If you sit out the front at lunch, you can kick back & watch the different motorcycles go past if you are that way inclined. A Quik edit: Menu has changed abit, but the salad is better than before, & before was good. Great job guys! Makes waiting for a Friday lunch worth it that little bit more.
