Enjoyed a wonderful stay here! Very quiet, relaxing and clean hotel. The beds were very comfy and perfect for a tired traveller! The staff were very polite and helpful. I was only here for a short stay but managed to enjoy most of the facilities, make sure you utilise the pool and enjoy breakfast at Suzette!

I didn't stay due to quarantine regulations but did ring in to make some enquiries. I spoke with a young gentleman by the name of Josh. I can't commend your business enough for the fantastic service and representation he gives on your behalf. I greatly appreciate good customer service, his was excellent.

Been often and always a great hotel to visit. Top service and attention to detail when dining in comfortable surrounds. Slow cooked pork belly and Atlantic salmon recommended. Diners covered by parking discount in hotel car park. Member of Accor group which provide discounts for meals if an Accor member.

I wouldn't call it a 5 star hotel, table n benches were dusty in the room and elevator felt like a sauna,
I know it's hard time at the moment, but your still a paying customer no matter what the case is

Staff are amazing especially Josh. Josh always make us feel welcome. The beds are the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The location and ambiance of the Sofitel is perfect.

Pool deck very good. Breakfast with accommodation deal was the best. With covid ordered off the menu with no limitations. Staff were good. I should they have me a full refund last April when a wedding was cancelled even though it was a no cancellation rate. Location is great and room was good decor and spacious. Gym is pretty well equipped and on top floor. Surprised by some of the negative reviews.

Spent a week in Brisbane staying here. The staff made it the best city break EVER! Will definitely stay here again.. location is the top of town. Not far to walk to anywhere. Food was great! Ate breakfast most days there and dinner 3 nights. Emmanuel Mohammed was the standout best friendliest members of staff of any hotel we've been to. Such a friendly happy nice person. The rooms were spacious and clean. Great views. Pool was perfect and a hot tub that was always quiet.

Great suite level 20 , also had a large greeting area for our dinner guests. So champagne with cheese platter before we went to dinner which was sumptuous

Great stay, Sofitel always deliver. Clean room, welcoming staff, smiley faces and great food. The buffet breakfast is great. Lovely touch leaving a bottle of sparkly in the room for my wife's birthday.

Was a really great stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend the day spa. Pool only has sun for a few hours, I would recommend staying more than 1 night so you can sun bake on the beautiful sun deck.

Spectacular. High class experience unlike no other in Brisbane.
Thank you.

Great location, kitchen needs to be thanked for their lip smacking menu. Waiter staff were funny, professional 😂 and we all enjoyed our evening. Thankyou.
A. W.
Check in easy. Room clean and well appointed. Staff always helpful and friendly.
Only issue was at checkout. We were billed for TV services not used ,but this was resolved quickly . Thank you..

Was nice, great breakfast buffet and lobby bar. Disappointing with no escalator into Central Station at present and also no sweets on the late night dining menu, was craving something on our last night late, but was told nothing available.

Have had 3 nights stay this week. Had a lovely experience. It would be good if Sophias had a staff member available in the cafe during open hours. It sometimes takes 5 minutes for service. Also the waitress took our breakfast order this morning and didn't write it down. Hence my breakfast didn't arrive until I had to ask about it. Takes the gloss off the experience

What an amazing stay! It has been so long that I have traveled and stayed in an hotel. Sofitel Brisbane definitely is one of my highlights here in Brisbane.
We were greeted with a very welcoming bonjour by a very lovely lady (I'm sorry that I didn't catch her name), telling me that my booking for an upgrade and they have organised a corner room.
The room itself is very clean, and comfortable. Awesome view to the ANZAC square too!
Oh if you stay here, please consider to the sundae from in-room dining. It is one of the most amazing sundae we have ever had. It is that good!
Overall, we were well looking after by staffs here and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone for making our stay so comfortable. I will definitely book to stay here again!

Stayed a few times using our Accor card. Meals are spectacular. Rooms are brilliant. Veiws into the city (south of the building) are better than the north facing rooms. 5 stars for every staff member.... Parking is tight.....
G. C.
Good hotel to stay. Food service can be improved. Otherwise good.

Was in the middle of lock down. Very small and attentive team on. They were super COVID safe. Small criticism as a Gold Accor member but no upgrade in a near empty hotel. But again the staff were wonderful, especially Jamie who was on the phones and to get anything, I had to call her.

The perfume that runs through the air vents is very homely. It is nice to travel again and enjoy this hotel. The pillows are like sleeping on clouds and there is nothing quite like it.

Just spent two nights here. It is going to be my “place to stay” when I come to Brisbane to visit my daughter. Why? Proximity to station means 10 min easy walk from check out to getting on train to airport; great outdoor pool and whirlpool spa (heaven after day of walking); friendly staff; great option of a mini deli where you can grab coffee (which is great coffee), wine (very reasonably priced), cheeses, toasties. Hope clever is that!!
A. T.
Beautiful room setup for our workshop, sat 65 comfortably. Morning tea and lunch was delicious.
F. L.
Room is a good size. Comfortable. Clean. Lighting in the room is very poor. Air conditioning is not great and controls are old. Good security to the guest rooms. Good entertainment system in room.
N. R.
Best views from level 22, the rooms very very comfy with aromatic herbs so calming. Giving the best feeling like home. Very close to anything you want to do in CBD.

Thyme 2 is amazing! Great food, really really great service, would definitely recommend the steak and oysters, and vanilla bean ice cream with whisky, was the absolute best, a must try. All the staff were really attentative and service was great, the only reason why it isn't a 5 star is you have to pay for parking even though you spend over $200 on dining...which I thought could be waived as we specifically came to eat at the restaurant. But other than that, it was amazing.

The entire stay was just perfect. Josh at the front desk was a true master of his craft. We felt like family returning home and for a married couple that haven't had a night away in 5 years it was truly exactly what we needed. Everyone couldn't go out of their way enough for us to feel special. A massive thanks and we will be seeing you guys again. All the very best in the meantime and happy Christmas

I spent 3 nights in a "luxury city view" room. Purpose of my stay was to attend NRL. Although stay was ok, there's a few things to note.
At the moment there is no direct access to or from the train station. Thankfully the route is marked but takes you up 2 flights of stairs. Not as convenient as expected.
There's an odd design of tiles in the bathroom. It's impossible to tell if they're filthy or genuinely clean. Someone with OCD would freak out.
I don't understand why hotel rooms don't have a couple of central lights for the whole room instead of individual lamps which provide minimal light .
A. H.
Good selection of well presented good qualty food and very friendly kitchen side staff.
Negatives in my view are the wait staff and process.
Queuing behind 20+ people most of which, like myself, appear to have already booked seemed more like a shopping centre buffet than fine dining, as was the payment process.
Also, staff not knowing what is on the menu for the next day is not in line with my expectations of a fine dining experience. I was advised the cooked food is not known untill the day (seems odd?) however the seafood selection would be the same, and yet, no bugs on the next day which was very disappointing.
I'd go again, however think the experience could be improved with better quality staff / training.

We enjoyed a lovely work related event in the grand ballroom, with beautiful views over the city, from the evening and into the night. Parking was available on site and close by. I did have an issue with baby nappy changing facilities not being convenient, there were no baby facilities located on the 2nd floor at all.

I wish I could give this hotel five stars but there were a couple of aspects of our stay that really took the shine off.
Firstly, the positives. Lovely room, comfortable bed, great view and friendly and efficient staff. Perfect location only a couple of blocks from the very centre of the CBD.
Sadly, some negatives. I’m an Accor member and so qualify for a welcome drink. At every other Accor I’ve stayed at, this is a beer or house wine in the bar. Great to relax after a big day, and perhaps watch a bit of sport on the bar TV. Not here. It’s a voucher for very ordinary mini bottles of wine, purchased from the hotel snack bar, that have to be taken back to your room.
I wasn’t going to do that, so we decided to go into the bar anyway and get some drinks. $28 for two drinks. A pot of beer that was great, and a glass of Sav Blanc that was frankly undrinkable. Surely a hotel of the class of a Sofitel should ensure that the house wines aren’t complete rubbish.
Lastly, the quality of the breakfast would be more fitting of a Holiday Inn than a Sofitel.
A lot to love about this hotel, but some rough edges as well.

Positives:
Good location right next to Central station
Staff were friendly
Nice hot food at breakfast buffet
Negatives:
Room service forgot to replenish the rubbish bin bag, soap, body wash and sweetener sachets. Had to request these after they left.
Cleaner washed dirty crockery with a quick rinse under the tap and then wiped it down with a face towel before placing it upside down to indicate it was "clean" right in front of me. Right in the middle of covid.
Kept on getting woken up in the middle of the night with other guests slamming doors, even through heavy duty earplugs.
Uncomfortably soft bed and pillows.
Disappointing coffee.
No fruit, yoghurt, milk or cereal at the breakfast buffet.
S. W.
Valet parking advertised can't do, so park yourself in dodgy carpark. Concierge can help take bags from car but can't take to your room. Can't get a table for 2 at restaurant . Free drink voucher can only be used to drink in your room😕 But so far the bed feels comfy, pillows are pancake style. Hoping the pizza from the bar down stairs is ok, not hopeful though Have cancelled reservation for next weekend.
S. M.
We were so lucky to have been allocated a club floor room. The rooms are so classic in a good solid way with great aircon and super nice toiletries. This also gave us access to club Millésime on level 30. Magnificent views matched by attentive service and a great range of beers and Dilmah teas. The breakfast was presented by the chef personally, it was perfect. Our one night stay was such a treat. Such elegance....
L. B.
Great atmosphere & perfectly situated within the city area.
S. H.
I like and always enjoy Brisbane Sofitel Central not just for a five weeks stay waiting for a home to settle, but a weekend away from home, a business breakfast, a light meal and drinks in the bar on a Saturday evening and a cup of coffee with friends during the week.
The staff are exceptional!

Review for those with a disability and accessibility requirements.
We recently stayed for 3 nights and required an accessible room as both my husband and I are physically disabled. We were greeted by friendly staff who also helped with our luggage which was going above and beyond as porterage wasn’t available due to current restrictions but Josh, helped us to our room and happily organized a number of extra items we required. The room and bathroom were fully accessible and they provided a proper shower chair which so many places don’t do! I also suffer from MCS and they noted this and made sure no air fresheners etc. were used in the room. They did have covid safe practices in operation including the remote control being clean and sealed in plastic for each new guest which was reassuring. Unfortunately the room that was accessible hadn’t been renovated nor thoroughly cleaned or even used in some time I believe. I had to clean multiple surfaces and the mini fridge was extremely old and didn’t work well. The bed was also extremely firm and uncomfortable and the blockout curtains were falling apart so we were woken early by the sun pouring into the room. The final straw was the sink leaking all over our clean towels. We were then moved and upgraded to a junior sweet as it was the only other room that would work for us. This room was fantastic! although I still couldn’t get my wheelchair into the bathroom. luckily I also use crutches as an amputee. The bed was still firm and curtains were also needing to be replaced but were not as bad. The pool looked perfect but was inaccessible to swim due to there being no hoist which was disappointing. The food was good and they were able to accommodate some of my meal requirements like gluten free and low salicylate which I was thankful for. Overall our stay was good but could have been even better. Staff were all friendly and helpful and we felt that every issue was dealt with promptly. Hopefully they update their accessible room and make a few changes to the beds, curtains, pool & spa access and the carpet in the hallways is a killer for wheelchairs and walkers. With a few changes it could be perfect for people with disability.

5 star service. We booked a romantic getaway package and it did not disappoint. Attentive service, massages at Stephanie's Spa located inside the hotel and the buffet breakfast was delicious. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were clean and modern. We had a great view of Anzac Square on the 19th floor. Gym is modern and clean. Pool area is relaxing and right near the spa. Would highly recommend staying here.

Loved the truffles and salt&pepper squid. It was brief sit down but beautiful. I would love to come back to explore more.

Brilliant place to stay, easy access from airport train to the Sofitel entrance. Delicious food and great service. Close to shopping and restaurants. 5 stars from me.

Good experience in quarantine and the is food good and there services also
T. E.
Nice location. Great staff. Superb service. Great get together venue.
B. U.
We had a very nice lunch with the wine and buffet deal. The place was busy so it may be a good idea to book. The food was good and quite a good variety of seafoods, salads, meats and soups. They also have a large range of desserts to choose from. Service was good and they keep the drinks coming. Probably best if you skip breakfast. Worth a visit.
P. M.
Excellent place to stay. Fabulous comfortable rooms and a very central location to the shops and directly Central train station.
In house dining is also terrific.
F. G.
Was here for a conference. Staff polite, nothing was a problem. Food supplied was good quality and variety. Conference facilities were also great.
D. W.
The stay was good but could’ve been better. Hotel isn’t in my opinion a 5star hotel. Rooms are tired the pool area is tired also. Restaurant was great and the staff were too.
M. R.
Look I loved my stay, i believe the staff play an important role in making or breaking your stay, and ALL the staff there were fantastic, attentive, friendly, thoughtful and made the occasion even move special.food was great, and the room, we had the corner suite, definitely worth it. Would come again and hopefully the buffet will be back so I can give that a crack.

My wife and I only stayed one night here on a work trip, but it was a comfortable stay.
Our room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows too soft, so we made use of the pillow menu to get different ones instead, which was a nice touch.
We used the gym which was modern, clean and had all you’d need for a good workout.
It had a great view out onto the city from the bikes and treadmills, which was a nice way to start the day.
We ordered room service for breakfast and shared the pastries and a Bircher which were delicious. The small Beerenberg jams provided are one of my favourites!
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is one of the best parts as you can be in central station in a short walk down the escalators or into the city in a 5-10 minute walk.
S. H. U.
Nice stay. Room is clean. Don't like the shower. When you turn it on you get all that cold water on you, until it slowly changes to warm.
C.
We had a wonderful overnight stay. Dinner in the a la carte restaurant was amazing. We both had the steak with crayfish thermadore. The restaurant is quiet and elegant with city views. Would highly recommend a meal here. The seafood buffet looked amazing too. The rooms are super comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast buffet and parking deal was great. The swimming pool and jacuzzi enjoyable. The staff in all departments were very polite and couldn't do enough to help. We will be going back for a longer stay next time.
B. K.
Great buffet, but served to you, all went smoothly and the wines were quite nice. Thanks Gino and all staff, exemplary service as usual
J. S.
Great food .lovely accommodation and helpful staff
S. H.
Enjoyed my recent stay on a business trip. Staff were accommodating (including providing a toothbrush and toothpaste when I realised I’d forgotten to bring it). Lovely rooftop pool and spa (gets lots of shade in the afternoon). Gym was a good size and they provide iced tea, although it was too sweet for me. Ordered a Negroni at the bar which was nice but far too short for the price tag ($22). Wine was seriously overpriced! Didn’t try the breakfast this time.
J. M.
Great experience. Staff are simply outstanding. Would go back anytime

I had the breakfast buffet at the Thyme2 restaurant.
$39 dollars well spent, definitely 5 star, I was very impressed and very satisfied when I left.
Incredible amount and variety of food.
The Indian? man serving us was very friendly and good to chat to, I liked how he was going around asking people for feedback about their experience and how they were doing, I thanked him at the end and wished him a good day.
You also have a few others that will make lots of different coffee's/tea for you.
I liked watching chefs make omelette's and other ways to cook eggs at the station.
What I really enjoyed was Vegetable Frittatta, Banana Honey Smoothie, Eggs Benedict, and their huge selection of bread which can be toasted.
Also enjoyed the fish, breakfast cereals, cheese and meats available.
They have a lot of different milk options to try and cater for everyone's needs, I have the lite and soy milk.

This was the best place for a quiet christmas lunch. We had a lovely meal our servers were attentive and made us feel most welcome. One lady was on her own but the servers made sure she wasnt lonely. We looked out at Brisbane city in the rain with its mixed of historic buildings and modern skyscrapers. We were at the Cuvee` cafe there were about 30 people and we able to talk above the music and were severd a seafood platter for 2 at our table beautiful cooked and presented. Buffet main including turkey, fish and other assorted meats and veg. Assorted cheese and fruit. Plum pudding and petite foir that brought the french theme . Going again next year.

Spent 3 nights with family. Great staffs, great food, nice location.
K. H.
Such a beautiful hotel. You can't get a more convenient location. Right above central station. It had its own restaurants, bar, a magnificent breakfast buffet. I spent 4 days here for a conference recently and the staff were all exceptionally polite and always offering to help with a smile. Will definitely be back if I get a chance! Amazing food, service and atmosphere, clean comfortable rooms i would definitely recommend to friends and family.
C. Y. W.
The room itself is quite spacious and clean. Well situated and nice view of the city. Very comfy bed and attentive staff. However, I think their bathroom need a maintenance. Water will leak everywhere after a shower. The breakfast is amazing though. I also suggest that the speaker om the table should have an upgrade for its wrong time and iphone 4 plugin.
M. M.
Had a 2 day conference in this hotel.
The hotel is good location. Very easy to find and accessible for someone who is not local.
Ballroom is massive and can accomodate alot of people. Old chairs near rusty. Sound proofing is an issue. I could hear a different group in another room screaming, shouting and singing. Disturbing our conference.
The Bastille room was quite small and for around 100 people seating side by side. AC might be on but with heaps of people I felt really stuffy.
Food is a bit average. Sofitel is good with desserts. Coffee by Roaster Guy needs serious attention. It tasted good on first 10 cups but the rest were rushed and its better to pour your own coffee from a thermos.
Overall, 8/10 rating
N. D.
Last time I was here was to stay was 7 or so years ago and the rooms were very nice. This visit was for a monthly seminar that is usually held at the Marriott. The Grand Ballroom had been partitioned up and felt a bit like a gorge - high ceilings and narrow walls. The wait staff with drinks and finger food entered on one side and proceeded down tgat side, totally neglecting the other side of the room other than to pass by us on their return with their empty tray.
K. Y.
I am so glad I decided to call the hotel direct to book a room today for a last minute night away for our Wedding Anniversary. When I tried to book online nothing was coming up that could accomodate our family, so I was a little disappointed. I decided to call reservations team and just ensure they couldn't help me out, and sure enough they found a room for us! I am very excited to spend the night here, after recently experiencing the 5 star service offered to my Mother and Sister in law. We attended a lunch for my MIL's bday. The food was impeccable, their room was upgraded twice and they were given an endless supply of complimentary cocktails/drinks.. They sure know how to make a women feel special on her Birthday. Have to make a special mention to the amazing staff that served us during that visit at lunch; Sinait & Kruze and a special mention to Valentin for arranging everything through my Sister in law. Your service speaks volumes and I look forward to experiencing it again.
T. F.
Whilst located above central station it is a long walk to reception and restaurants from the trains. Food is excellent and so are staff.
A. F.
Warm & welcoming staff. The rooms are very clean and the bed is super comfortable. The hotel facilities are also fantastic, got to love the heated outdoor pool however we were here in April and the pool lost the sun around midday so not great for tanning. Buffet breakfast is delicious but pricey so try get it included in your accommodation package.
W.
A very nice place for a quiet glass of wine with a friend. There is a bar on the lobby level, with very comfortable seating and views over Anzac Square. This is where I have my catch ups with one or two friends when we get together every month or so. It's perfect if you want a quiet, tasteful environment rather than a noisy, crowded city bar. There is fantastic service, a good wine list, cocktails if you like, and the drinks are delivered to you at your table. You can order small plates of food if hungry, eg antipasta, and it is very good. This place is an inspired choice if you want a nice venue for a quiet talk, away from the hustle and bustle, and it's conveniently located and accessed via the escalators from the front of central station.
J. L.
Very nice upscale hotel in an excellent location within the city. The buffet is very good as well as the al a cart restraunt. If you have club sofitel access the lounge on the 30th floor offers beautiful views of the city. Staff are all very helpful and cheerful throughout.
S. L.
Just love the breakfast here. I can't wait till the buffet to come back though.
J. Y.
A very pleasant environment. The food was delicious and had a nice variety of seafood and meat, it was a spectacular layout for dining. I liked having the buffet with my family here and I won't mind coming here again because the staff was welcoming and always tending to your refills. And thank you kind waiter for the chocolate box and the cake before we left.
A. P.
It's a awesome place I ever seen😎

It was easy to find , we didnt pay for parking but thought that it was over priced. The buffet dinner beautiful the food was good but there was no roast cut up i walked past several times amd the guy looked at me but never asked if i wanted amy thing. The room was great and very clean the beds were good to sleep in. Breakfast was great heaps food fruit loved it.
R. D.
Really good sized room and bathroom. Disappointing bath/shower arrangement. No anti-slip in the bath. Good size fridge and tv. Comfortable king-sized bed. The room was quite dusty but housekeeping cleaned that up. Really enjoyed Price 249 Restaurant. Breakfast buffet was very good. Unfortunately they use Teflon Pans to cook omelettes. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. I liked this hotel it is very central and is immediately above the train station.
V. M.
From the moment we dropped our bags early to shop until we checked out the following morning, we were treated like royalty. The staff superb, everything was sparkling clean, beds and pillows like sleeping on clouds, buffet breakfast was the best I've had anywhere. When I mentoned upon booking that my daughter was pregnant we were welcomed into our room by the most divine chocolate plate congratulating her. Thankyou Sofitel Brisbane for making our stay memorable.
I. H.
The hotel has a great location being situated above Central Station. Generously sized rooms although slightly dark and dated. The hotel has all the extras that you would expect from a five star hotel, pool, gym, spa, restaurant, bar, executive lounge, friendly and professional staff. Room prices vary widely depending upon the occupancy level of the hotel.
K.
Doesn't look flash on the outside but inside is quite nice. The conference rooms are one of the better ones I've been to. If catering is included it's pretty good. There were vegetarian and gluten free options available.
C. D.
Beautiful buffet lunch provided with an amazing spread and variety of food on offer. The venue is modern and has a fantastic view of city from dining windows. Big bonus it's not far to walk to public transport with Central Station downstairs. Perfect Sunday lunch.
G. N.
Nice hotel but what they charge for food / drinks is ridiculous. $79 pp fixed for dinner, $35 for a burger in the bar!!! Restaurant was empty most nights which begs the question - would they make more money if their prices were more reasonable / expensible vs forcing people on business travel to eat elsewhere? Probably.
S. W.
What a great property in the heart of Brisbane! With access directly from the Central station, it couldn’t have been easier to get to from the airport.
The rooms were nicely appointed (average size), and the amenities were nice. The gym had great views but was a little small in size. The breakfast is wonderful and expansive but expensive. The concierge was really nice and the location and proximity to everything was great.

Upon arrival, Gavin greeted us and was so warm and welcoming. It was my 32nd birthday and he made it an extra special experience and a great view from the room. Thanks so much Gavin!
The bed was one of most comfortable ones I have ever slept on. The room was modern and perfectly adequate.
Booking for the restaurant - a lovely lady (I'm sorry I've forgotten her name but one of the main managers coordinating) - she was delightful and easily helped us to organise the booking.
Brendan - always remembered our names and details, we felt he paid extra special attention to make sure we were having a pleasant stay.
So all round the service from the front desk was wonderful!
For checkout unfortunately we did have a lady (shorter with dark hair) who was a little rude (we had finalised the bill but she didn't receive that information and she was defensive and not as warm).
Overall though we had a fantastic stay and thank you to all the staff for making the Birthday experience special and a lot of fun!
A. G.
Have stayed 100+ nights. Although quite old in style, still one of the best hotels in Brisabane. Located on top of a major train station so its easy to get around. Breakfast has a huge selection including many more healthy/nutritious options rather than just the usual continental or full English.
我.
My girlfriend and I had the buffet dinner at thyme2 last night to celebrate our special date. The buffet in general was alright. Fairly wide range of food. Very satisfied with the roast last night. (It was so great that my girlfriend went back and had a second round of it) we had plenty of oysters. They were pretty good except for a few where it kinda taste a little bitter. After all it was a not bad experience.
N. H.
Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Rooms were well presented and the beds are comfy AF. The elevators have glass sides given you a great view of the city as you go up. The hotel is situated well close to restaurants and shops. My one criticism is at breakfast the bake beans have some mad recipe going on.
D. S.
Fabulous for so many reasons. Location was a huge plus, just step out and you are THERE. Facilities- excellent with something for everyone, exotic Day Spa, lovely pool, most excellent restaurant choices. ALL the staff that I had contact with were exceptionally well mannered yet friendly as well, going the extra mile to make sure I was being looked after. Room was smallish but beautiful, enjoyed views, huge desk and comfort. Bed was heaven, nescafe pod machine was a nice touch. Highly recommend breakfast and for economy try the bistro downstairs for super cheap meals at " mates rates" for guests. (Happy hour is great too, 5-7pm $5 - not bad!) Some people complain about the candles in the huge foyer, but I thoroughly enjoyed the almost ritualistic experience of seeing them lit in the late afternoon and the beautiful aromatherapy fragrance that enhanced the experience of staying at this hotel... Add this one to your bucket list - superb!
L. K.
Location is right in the CBD and staff are helpful. Otherwise it really does not feel like a Sofitel. Rooms are old and could use renovation. Hallways are dark. Our hallway had a sewer smell the entire time and we could see a little area with towels that they kept working on. I guess probably that was an isolated incident. The gym had old rusty equipment but a nice view. We could see the pool/hot tub area from our window. That looked nice but we didn’t get a chance to use. Surprised that internet was $30/day, though they did take that off our bill at the end by having us join their club.
T. M.
Staff service are excellent. However, the hotel is a bit old. But the bed is very comfortable. Our whole family sleep very well and we dont want to change to other hotel. Breakfast buffet dont have so ***y food to choose.
A. M.
Attended a high tea there this afternoon and was not impressed about the service. The young girl that was serving for the whole area was very nice and polite, however due to the lack of staff our table never got cleared of the 2, 3 tier cake stands, which made it difficult to speak/see the person on the over side of the table. While the food was nice, it wasn't worth the amount of money paid. When having a high tea at a 'luxury' hotel I would expect to have service, food and tea/coffee at a higher standard than what was experienced this afternoon.
B.
A nice central place to stay. The hot tub with Bluetooth speaker capabilities was fun. I enjoyed my stay
D. B.
We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel, the staff were amazing and the customer service was impossible to fault. Our room was modern yet luxurious with a super-plush bed and lovely furnishings. The AC was a bit old, but that was a minor kink in an otherwise great stay. The in-room breakfast was tasty and the serving size generous, we even received complimentary detox juices. Great location, we stepped out right into Brisbane's CBD and explored. Thanks for a great evening!
T. M.
Great room, very nice clean and tidy. They have a pillow menu and an awesome body soak + night cap before bed menu that you can order from - great for a mummy who is taking time out from her baby! A bit far from the actual CBD though, I …
A. A.
Nice hotel one star less they did not clean our room first night.
T. M.
Had a lovely stay at this really convenient hotel. Service excellent apart from check in delay. Staff helpful when they saw we had children. Dining is excellent and with the use of accor advantage reasonably priced. Located on top of central station it has easy access to the train to the airport.

We always upgrade to the Club rooms. They are spacious and the generous beds give a great night. The staff must all get special training in being friendly, courteous and professional all at the same time. All of them from car arrival to cleaning and the Club service. What can you say except Merci!
The food and wine selection is always a treat as well. To top it off the Sofitel is in the best of locations for getting around town.

Stayed at the Sofitel Brisbane Christmas 2017. For this stay I booked a club room with city view. The room was very comfortable with excellent facilities.
Interestingly a junior suite was actually cheaper however did not come with the access to the club floor so I opted for the smaller room.
View was excellent.
Club floor is great. Christmas 2016 it was very crowded so 2017 they appear to have been tighter on entry to the club. This enabled easier access to seating at peak times as well as less crowding at the buffet.
Food offerings and drinks were plentiful however outside of service times the offerings were thin on the ground.
Some nights I noticed a dessert was served around 8, some nights nothing happened. I was a little disappointed when there was this inconsistency.
Breakfast in the club was excellent.
Service throughout the hotel was excellent and I can feel confident that this is offering a five star service in Brisbane.
Only flaw I noted was one morning I was unable to get a cab with the bell man chatting with cycling friends leaving a hand full of people standing unsure how to get the taxi drivers attention.
Recommendations: The city view rooms are wonderful, aim for the highest floor you can get. (From past experience booking through discount wholesalers = lower floor. Booking via hotel = higher floor).
Club rooms are worth it for access to the lounge.

From the moment we stepped into the Sofitel Brisbane Central we were treated like royalty. Very helpful. Brilliant service. Amazing food. Made our 30th wedding anniversary so memorable and special. I highly recommend staying here. Well done to all the staff and management that make the stay here so fantastic. Don and Fiona Wagner

My overall experience at Sofitel Brisbane was great, rooms were very spacious, beds were very comfy and service staff were friendly. The only let down was the breakfast how can Sofitel justify charging guests $49.00 for breakfast. The food is average at best you're better off eating breakfast elsewhere. Food choices were limited compared to other hotels, the Mocha I ordered was bland and watery . Would not recommend guests to pay a obscene amount for a mediocre experience.
I.
Nice hotel in the city centre. Hotel amenities are decent.
Gym can be way better. I think it was there to tick the 5 star rating but not to be called an actual 5 star hotel. Disappointing equipments, one part of the gym is over bright and the other one with weights totally in darkness, plus they have restrictions on timings.
Internet is very slow, I think most people stillbhave to pay for it
J. E.
Professional and courteous staff and has the best hotel buffet breakfast I've ever had.
Rooms are always immaculate and tidy and each time I have been upgraded if they were able to due to it being a special occasion for us.
Locality is key, being above central station is great, we used the train to travel to Milton for a game at Suncorp.
B. S.
A beautifully appointed hotel with a good range of functions rooms. A delightful cosy cafe / bar with a wide range of drinks. The only down point is the soy milk chosen is too oily, especially for the price, Bonsoy would be much better for coffees.
B. L.
Loved this hotel. Direct access from the train station makes it exceptionally convinient for travellers. Staff are attentive and personable, rooms are clean and well decorated. Lounge was fantastic. Food was great. Definitely living up to the sofitel brand. I would be back.
J. C.
I was invited for dinner at the Digital for a friend's birthday and from the time the doorman opened my taxi door the service was excellent. The restaurants staff were very obliging and warm without any air of pretention that often comes with a restaurant of this caliber. The food was delicious and well presented. Over all it was a really good experience.

The hotel is very good. It's close to the city. It's very close to Brisbane South Bank Park. The traffic is very convenient. Beautiful environment, advanced equipment, staff service attitude is very good! The guests are satisfied with their accommodation this time. Next time, we will arrange to stay in this hotel. Thank you very much.
D. B.
Stayed for the second time and loved it. Great location with the train station below so it makes it so easy to get to and from the airport. Everything is clean and staff very helpful.
It has some good bars and good food options. In walking distance to mall and other great shops.
Will be back one day
D. P.
Great experience, Rooms beautiful, Staff very friendly and helpful. I mentioned to one of the staff we are on holidays and it's my wife's birthday and after an hour of being out we came back to our room where we found a pleasant surprise, refer to the picture.
M. C.
Excellent location. It's so close to everything downtown and the central rail station. Room was amazing. Big comfy bed with a quiet atmosphere. Enjoyed the hot tub by their in-house spa.
Only slight letdown was the restaurant. Food was average and a bit overpriced..
E. D.
Attended a 2-day conference in the ballrooms. Fairly nice venue, but air con was freezing. Lighting a bit dark, technology a bit primitive for presenting, and could hear staff moving stuff around during talks. Food was just OK. Coffee from cafe very weak. Staff organisation and service was excellent though, and the redeeming feature of this venue.
R. B.
I recently stayed at Novotel Brisbane and felt that it should be downgraded to Mercure. I feel the same for Sofitel Brisbane as its teetering on the edge of Novotel quality. (Compared to Sofitels in other cities around the world). I didn't like that the restaurant at the hotel is a buffet option. I felt like I was staying at a cheap Las Vegas hotel. After a day of airports and office meetings, I'm looking for a nice quiet a la carte dining experience. Not a busy, bustling buffet that requires me to line up for my three courses. Plus, I'm not much of a big eater at dinner. So $69 ($99 on weekends) is a bit too much. The room is ok, Nespresso machine and a large comfortable bed. Fittings and fixtures is showing the age of the hotel. I still cannot believe I have to climb into a bathtub for me to shower at a Sofitel. At first I thought I was in a Best western in regional Australia.
A Sofitel should have a separate shower.
I did the love the bar, service was great from both bar staff and front desk. $47 parking is way too much too. But that is starting to become the norm in most capital city hotels. At the right price this hotel is definitely worth staying in. Overall a good experience.
A. W.
Really good buffet breakfast and surprisingly large towels provided in room. Great location and very friendly helpful staff
M. T.
I've stayed at the resplendent and cost Sofitel in Buenos Aires as well. But the Brisbane Sofitel is larger and expansive by comparison. It is no less opulent though.
The foyer has changing decorative pieces. I stayed at the Sofitel just after France won the 2K18 Football World Cup. There was a 12 foot Tour de Eiffel resplendent in blue, white and red to celebrate the French teams achievement.
Rooms are moderate size and well equipped. The Gym is open from 5am to 9pm. I asked to access the gym after hours it was denied as there are rooms below.
The location is about 5 minutes walk from the Brisbane CBD. And 17 mins from Southbank.
I love this hotel. No surprises there being a Sofitel. Its proper quality. 👌
M. A.
Extraordinary service, calm and nice environment
C. K.
Went to Thyme2. Not that great to be honest. The variety is very limited and the food not that exciting. Dessert section particularly disappointing. It's such a shame because the last time I went maybe 10 years ago it was exceptional. Things have REALLY gone downhill. Oh, and if you're having a special occasion they will commemorate it by taking chocolates FROM the buffet table and putting them in a box as a gift. Idk. It really isn't special anymore. DEFINITELY not worth $80 a head and $20 for parking. Save yourself the effort, go get a 3 course meal somewhere else.
R. H.
We regularly go to the buffet. The food is always of the highest quality although I have a suspicion they are trying to improve profits as the oysters get smaller and smoked salmon has been removed from the table. The staff are faultless as you may expect.
A. L.
Amazing location and friendly staff. I would have preferred a 24-hour gym or one with later closing hours since it's unsupervised anyways. Please introduce a coffee machine during the morning buffet.
B. B.
Regularly book a night or two at the Sofitel for a getaway. Rooms have always been nice and clean, staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is great. Overall it's always a fantastic and relaxing experience - never had an issue.
P. R.
Great place to stay but couldn't find the gold flakes in our $24 glass of Shiraz. WiFi was a problem too. They were prompting us to buy WiFi but if you join their club, you get it free. It should be free considering the price/rating for this hotel.
h. f.
Amazing hotel and staff, can not fault this hotel, everything you want and more. Will definitely be back.
S. C.
Breakfast was delicious. Sensational room, Great gym equipment and always respectful staff. Great job Matt.
M. R.
The hotel is nice. Its a nice touch that the staff at the cabs find out your name, and the desk staff greet you by name before you've spoken to them. I'll be back again. Food is pricey though there are cheaper options nearby. My only disappointment was to find that most of the items on my mini bar were well out of date.
J. E.
Overall great hotel! Very friendly and competent service. Nice rooms and club Lounge has a really good spread and amazing views!
Breakfast in the main restaurant is extensive and most products of decent quality, but very pricy.
M.
Yummy food, calm environment, comfortable room, interesting decor and pleasant staff. Room service is the best. Thankyou Sofitel Brisbane central.
M. P.
Had a wonderful 45th wedding anniversary, the meal and staff in the restaurant were great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. An extremely high standard and compatable with other Sofitel Hotels across Europe.
R. P.
I have been visiting Sofitel for years, as a guest and as a contractor for wedding hair and makeup. The front desk, bar and concierge staff are always absolutely lovely and welcoming. The suites are always immaculate and very modern. I can't recommend more highly, a wonderful hotel and fantastic hotel for work or a getaway.
J. D.
My husband and I arrived at the Sofitel yesterday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had booked a very budget friendly room :-) ... then the lovely man proceeded to upgrade our room to a luxury room and give us a late checkout, then he was like ... "No actually we have a beautiful suite available so we’ll put you in there and that has access to the Club lounge" then he asked if we like chocolates and champagne. I was in tears by that time ... and he was like ... "I’ll just send them up to your room, which is on the 27th floor with a magnificent view to the city".
We are soooo incredibly blessed and so incredibly thankful for the wonderfully generous people at the Sofitel who made our anniversary SUPER special. Thank you SO MUCH!
T. M.
I stayed a couple of nights here and was very pleased with my room. The staff go over and above to ensure you are happy at all times. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal and the hotel does have the best breakfast. Six stars for me, the experience is extraordinary.
E. L.
We had the buffet dinner at Thyme ^2 restaurant. Everything was delicious. Our seats were fantastic with a view of the clock tower l. I had the best margharita I have ever had from the bar. Strong and tart. Loved it!
P. C.
A special evening for a birthday celebration with a table with a view. Really good seafood and reasonably priced using our accor two for one privileges. Our waiter Samuel was most helpful and must be commended. He even presented the birthday boy with a small box of chocolates. Only down side was it was so busy it took a while for the plates to be cleared.
S. L.
Exceptional service. The rooms are immaculate and the staff do everything within their power to make your stay perfect in every way. We have stayed here 7 times and will be booking again for many years to come. You will not regret staying here.
K. B.
Slightly tired & drab decor. Dark & smallish rooms & sealed windows are NOT ! Consequently there’s an above normally high din from traffic even on 24th floor.
Comfortable beds & good aircon, though-it wasnt hot while we were here for 4 nights beginning June.
Shower over bath. Bathroom clean.
TV tetchy. Couldnt get subtitles off the screen, Internet VERY slow- first world problems.
Room Service 3/5 cold coffee & muesli so hard to judge. Pricey.
Friendly& helpful staff. Superb location above Central station, so east from airport.
A nice walk through small park. Close enough to walk 10-15 mins to town.
5 Stars .... mmmm not so sure.
We were meant to stay back here the following weekend but have decided to try another hotel. Checked into Meriton for 2 weeks with a break in between. Mores the pity.
Good value here for a nights sleep on special - but not convinced Ill be back.
Hope Sofitel’s Ho Chi Minh City offering is good as already booked & paid for August...
S. W.
We have stayed here many many times and would never stay in any other hotel in Brisbane. The service is excellent the rooms always spotless, the location perfect and Jo Simmons the Front Office Manager and Josh on the Front Desk always look after us. In summary every time we stay here we feel very special we cannot wait to return.
L. C.
Love the wine theme. Love all the different taste of the mains and dessert. As always love the oysters and fresh prawns. Charles is the best! Very attentive even though he was so busy attending to others. He always makes sure we are okey. Thanks Charles for taking good care of us. We had a great time. And also thank you to Merryl (I hope I spelt your name right) for taking her time explaining to us the new themes at thyme. Keep up the good work guys! Thanks again.
Y. T. (.
Stay a night here for my 10yrs anniversary, got a really warm welcoming from the receptionist. As soon as we enter the room, received a champagne, choc cake and a hand -writing letter from the hotel manager. Got a upgrade of the room. Make me feel very special, perfect memories. Thank you the team of Sofitel.
M. S.
Fantastic service: friendly but professional, informative but not pushy or condescending. Genuine right down to the French lady at check in. Pity the constant 'Bonjour's from the other staff didn't sound as good, but stop best customer service I've had from hotel in a while! Location was perfect: right on top of central station and short walk to mall with plenty of food, shopping and entertainment nearby. Room was slightly dated but immaculately presented. Food in restaurant and as room service was delicious. Snagged this stay as mystery wotif deal - best we've had yet!
r. a. I. s.
The sea food buffet was $84 and in my opinion wasn't worth it, they only had tiny oysters, prawns were pretty good, mussels were flavourless, never got around to the fish because I only found it at the end. I was happy with the roast pork and beef vegetables. For a supposed all you can eat and drink event I left feeling hungry and thirsty.
D.
A good hotel located right above the central station Brisbane. Easy parking with street parking, large public car park across the road and of course hotel valet. We often come here for the seafood buffet and functions. This hotel has multiple function rooms that can be converted to a large room to host few hundred people.
S.
The Sofitel Brisbane Central matched the customer service, friendliness and ambience of most of the best 5star+ hotels that I’ve stayed at around the world (i.e. matched many of the $1000-2000 per night hotels). Also I find its location is perfect for most business visits to Brisbane. The staff are fantastic!
M. H.
WOW. I booked a Mother’s Day package for my wife which turned out to be the best hotel experience I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. Prue checked us in, made special arrangements for our evening dinner at Aria and also organised for us to be chauffeured from Sofitel to Aria and back again afterwards. When we got back to the room, a huge bunch of flowers had been delivered with a personal card from Prue. We also had bottle of sparkling delivered as a gift.
The room was amazing and we had the best nights sleep (sans children of course). I could not fault a single element of our stay at the Sofitel and I highly recommend!!!
Prue and Sofitel made us feel like the most important people staying with them. Thank you.
J. M.
Went to Sofitel for a function, the place is really elegant and we'll designed. The function room was huge and was the perfect place for the event. Although, some of the organisation could have been improved for the cost of the venue. Overall, a really nice hotel right above Central station in the middle of Brisbane.
M. L.
Nice luxurious place, excellent for formal events with a moderately large lobby and services. Being right next to the train station it is very easy to access. However being in the city has somewhat restricted it's size and thus can struggle with events with ~500 persons. At this point the airconditioning struggles to keep the temperature comfortable but everything else is of high quality and well-designed.
J. B.
Nice rooms, dark and cool, unusual in most hotels and a welcomed surprise. The club lounge is exceptional. Not the view in Melbourne, but well equipped and an excellent size. Better gym equipment would be the only welcomed change.
T.
Had a fantastic experience with Executive Chef Patrice serving some magnificent Hors d'oeuvre in the lobby bar with some Moët Chandon to wash it down. My guests were so impressed with the service and style. Thank you Sofitel Brisbane
J. H.
Customer service was fantastic, room and gym were good - new equipment in the gym. Had coffee in the bar area - empty plates/glasses from previous guests were not cleaned up so it was a bit dirty which didn't suit the rather expensive price of coffer
M. D.
Good staff and big room ,but a bit dated . Resturant was disappointing , Breakfast buffet was cold, at night main meal overpriced .
J. M.
I am an accor member. They really packed in people for the festive season (December 17th) and we found it too crowded. The waitress we had was very good.. Have her a tip. One of my friends was violently ill with food poisoning after that night! The food standard is getting worse . Food was bland and variety is not that great.
B. K.
The Sofitel Central Brisbane was absolutely stunning. I was there for a professional event, and the room was set up so well. The catering was superb, with a mix of items that suited all kinds of food allergies. A fantastic establishment, I will definitely be returning; next time, I'd love to see what the rooms are like.
S. E. F.
I call this Hotel enquire on a job opportunity. And the respond was standing on kindness, polite supported . The receptionist name Michelle
was so professionally understandable and supported and she directed my call to Human Resources and a lady was just so kind is well she took all her moment to spell an email address to send my resume and repiet it even again. This Hotel has amazing team members ever.
M. S.
The buffet breakast was good. There is a very good selection of foods to eat. My favourite part of the buffet is the interactive omelette station. The facilities are not very good for prams or people who are disabled. It is almost impossible to push your pram or wheel chair through three heavy toilet doors to get to the change area/disabled toilet.
S. S.
Nice and comfortable and very conveniently located. The breakfast is also of proper 5 star standards (unlike other hotels). Also one of the places where you can get dinner and drinks in the city after 9:00pm.
A. M.
On check in we were misinformed that parking was included and just needed to be validated. Turns out it was $47 dollars per night! Absolutely outrageous. Jacuzzi was cold, which was a bummer too. Beds were super comfy though.
B. K.
4.5
The best located premium hotel in Brisbane if you are coming from airport by airtrain(airport train). It is located above the Central Station. But no noise at all. Two flights of escalator from Central Station and you are in the reception area. A bit aging facility but still In premium quality. Restaurant and bar are excellent. A couple of streets down are the very centre of vibrant CBD.
Staff training is excellent as expected in all sofitel hotels.
Pricy but worth every penny.
M. B.
Room not reset properly, checked into hotel room and most of the lights are off so the room is dark. The view is nice enough, however compare the price and amenities to the Westin, the Stamford, or the Fantouzza and you may find the Sofitel lacking. Appears to be resting on brand name and location. Inconvenience yourself and you might get a better hotel room
D. K.
Nice rooms. Very comfortable bed. Pillow menu. Charged for nearly all English cable channels, yet an over supply of free Arab channels. Disappointing. Excellent dinner, lunch and breakfast buffets. Friendly competent staff.
R. S.
Stayed here with my wife for two nights while attending a work conference. The rooms are well appointed, quiet and roomy. The staff have been pleasant. Highly recommended as an upmarket, classy hotel. Thanks Sofitel you did not disappoint.
J. F.
Lovely place, just didn't provide services that were paid for, massage place was closed even though a massage package was paid for and insisted on providing a travel breakfast but never delivered it.
S. M.
Quite a nice place but rooms are starting to feel a bit dated. I’ve never had a great night sleep here, the king beds are just two twins pushed together and you can feel the curves created by all the bodies that be slept there before you. The air con is also quite drying and noticeable when you sleep
K.
I came here for a 3 day trip. I was actually disappointed that the wifi wasn't free. In 2019, you would think free wifi would be the equivalent off having running water... the rooms were okay, felt a bit old. They need cable TV as well, like their competitors in Sydney.
Z.
A super convenient location in Brisbane CBD. Rooms are plush and stylish with all the niceties. Food options are also good with a nice restaurant offering some quality seasonal dishes. Reception staff are helpful but not very friendly. The parking can be challenging if you drive a large vehicle. Trying the gym in the morning makes a good start to the day overlooking the city (amazing view).
J. K.
Lovely place for a Sunday breakfast or a high tea. The furniture standard let's the rating down from a five to a four. Everything, except from the furnitures, are top notch. It would have been a 4.5, bit as that isn't possible, it will have to be a 4.
T. C.
The fact the you have to pay for wifi and they charge a $100 security deposit is a little surprising, as most 5 star Hotels have your card on file and charge it, if need be. only providing 3 star's as the staff were friendly and professional but ill be staying with my regularly (Marriott)
S. S.
Always excellent food at the restaurant, Thyme 2. Yes, it's a buffet, but far beyond what you'd expect from a hotel buffet. Gourmete food, sorbet and gelato bar, pastries, fresh sea food, cheese and bread platters. Never disappoints.
R. C.
I am a big fan of the bar downstairs in the foyer. It is a very chilled place to relax over a cocktail or a beer and enjoy the view on the comfy chairs looking out towards the city. I've always found the staff to be very courteous and professional and helpful.
M. S.
The function room that we used was a decent size and easily accommodated the 150 guests. The technology used for the presentation worked flawlessly . Drinks and canapes served by the hotel after the function we served by very friendly and professional staff. The hotel and function rooms were very clean.
A. W.
Did the buffet lunch for pre-Christmas catch up with relatives, lots of nice food, staff were a little snippy about drinks (you could only pick one drink - eg beer, wine, bubbles, which was different than other years). Overall great.
T. M.
I was lucky enough to stay at the Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane during the state of Origin and what a great experience. Club rooms free grog and canepe yum. We loved the position of the hotel as you could walk to absolutely everything. We …
S. H.
Lovely entrance and bar area. But OMG $56 for 2 classes of wine and it wasn't even top shelf wine. What a joke. That is the cost of a bottle of super nanny goat pinot noir. Really guys. I will pass on this place.
B. T. S.
Located in Brisbane CBD which is perfect. Room is modern, roomy and clean. Thyme restaurant offers one of the yummiest and variety buffet. Complimentary drinks and wifi makes the hotel one of the best featured. Have I mentioned the heated outdoor swimming pool yet?
D.
Visit one of the best hotels in Brisbane. The service is an absolute 5 star and nothing less. Helpful staff and concierge services. The appearance is neat from the gardens to the front door and host many conference facilities in the heart of Brisbane CBD, with a taxi service form 13Cabs and Black and White cabs.
R. Z.
Always a wonderful place to stay- staff supportive and helpful- rooms very clean and any needs are sorted immediately-
R. M.
Love staying here. Staff great on arrival. Very friendly. Dealt with our luggage straight away. Check in very quick and easy. Lovely room. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Pool nice. Stephanie's day spa to die for. So relaxing. Will be back.
H. K.
Connected to the central station just a short escalator ride below. The front staff is adequately staffed and are very helpful. Each room is equipped with a convertor which is great for us travelling from us/canada.
K. C.
Excellent for a overnight stay. Situated in the heart of Brisbane. Walk to all areas of the city from your motel. Friendly Helpful Staff members. Phone to make reservations. They have the best smorgasbord for that special occasion.
C. N.
Well located. Great beds. The food i ordered on room service ( canneloni and suup) was bland, likewarm and lacked any taste. I could not eat it.Service and staff were all good.
L. A.
Staff is very professional and welcoming from the first encounter. They assist you in every way. Phone was answered promptly, I like other hotels. Recommendations made. Thank you. Can’t wait to go back.

Excellent hotel in the middle of the city, very convenient because you have the train station as well or you can walk if you want to look around the city or work. Nice Bar to have a drink. Definitely a good place to stay in Brisbane city.
V. K.
It's well connected to the CBD. My non smoking room smelt of cigarette smoke in the bathroom like a local bar. Front desk staff are functional at best and the same can be said for the bell man either it was the wrong time of day but barely an acknowledgement everytime I passed
P. H.
Stayed on one of the club Sofitel floors. Apart from the loud banging from the gym above my room during the day my stay was excellent. The staff are attentive to your needs. Quality service from a quality hotel.
T. M.
Very good location, but beds are in need of a change. It could also do with firmer pillows.
R. D.
Not as good desserts, I have come here for 30 yrs and think the restaurant lacks quite area's for couples or groups of 4 to dine. Like the bar area though and there window couches. Improvement in keeping food hot is always a challenge.

The Sofitel Hotel Brisbane was one of my favourite places to stay and dine in Brisbane. The staff are first class, from the bars to the restaurants and house keeping, excellent, it would be very difficult to find better and remember their not working for tips. However the quality and variety of the Thyne Restaurant's Buffet has steadly declined over the last year or so. Also, on last two occasions I have stayed at The Sofitel Hotel Brisbane, I have had great difficulty being reimbursed for the so called security fee they insist on taking, without authorisation. I was until recently a member of their Accor Club, who manage many brands of upmarket Hotels around the world. For this service you pay a fee and receive members benifits regarding hotel accommodation & dining. They have your full details, name, address, date of birth, credit card details etc., as you would expect. I can't understand why they insist on taking money from your credit card account, when they're specifically been told not to. They have your credit card details on record, so any monies outstanding can then be deleted, if required. Two stays back, it took me 6 weeks, yes 6 weeks and many phone calls, for Sofitel Brisbane to return my money to my bank account. On my most recent stay, I advised the lady on reception check-in of this fact and she said it should only take 2 days to be refund. I told her it wasn't about the money it was the principal of the matter and I did not want any money, not one cent, to be taken from my account. I stressed to her the fact, that as an Accor Member, I pay hundreds of dollars a year for the privilege of this status and they had my full details there on record. This message obviously fell on deaf ears, as sure enough on checking my bank balance the following day, Sofitel had again taken a fee, strictly against my instructions. And to add insult to injury, I also incurred a $1.30 transaction fee. After many phone calls to both my bank and Sofitel, (who were way less than honest with me) it took from the 19th of December to the 2nd of January to have my money's return to my bank account. I believe the Accor Group manage something like 28000 hotels around the world. Not a bad little earn on the short term money market is it ??? Withholding guests monies without authorisation. I have no problem with hotels taking your credit card details for security reasons, eg. leaving without paying for accommodation, food, drinks, room service etc. But I do have a major problem with Hotels automatically taking a fee on check-in, without informing the guest of this practice. (which I would imagine would be illegal). Anyhow after many years of a happy relationship, regrettably it seems I have parted company with the Sofitel Brisbane. My advice to all travelers and Hotel guests, on check-in, insist no monies are to be taken from your credit card account without your authorisation and on checking out, check the bill twice and within 24hrs check your bank account. Good luck to all, Jack Kelly.
D. T.
Stayed on night of the 11th after our wedding - hotel full of footballers for magic round yet staff still found the time to make our stay extra special - the upgrade to a better room , the sweets and bubbles in the room and the late checkout - thanks Sofitel for a great wedding night
D. W.
Seafood buffet didn't disappoint, even with the price tag! Great service and the more popular items such as the Tiger prawns and Moreton bag bugs were always in plentiful supply.
D. P.
Pretty good, good location, clean room, clean and large bathroom.
Bed was comfortable and great choice of pillows
S. B.
Easy parking, lovely greeting, quick and caring customer service, nice pool, simple but quiet rooms, fantastic food (had the seafood buffet, included sand crab, mud crab, oysters, prawns, mussels and bugs!!).. breakfast was great too (included champagne). Overall one of my favourite stays in Brisbane city.
w.
OMG! Love this place. Just outside the hustle and bustle of central Brisbane but when you walk inside you are made to feel so welcome. My favourite breakfast restaurant and the rooms were amazeballs! Just a special place

The best breakfast spread of any hotel I've stayed at for some time. The hotel is in the most idyllic central location if you plan on using public transport around Brisbane, or SE QLD.
The gym is the only let down, it's quite small and ill equipped compared to rival hotels.
A.
We went to the Sofitel for dinner at their restaurant Thyme2 - parking was easy as there is street parking along the road and also a parking complex opposite. We had a very friendly and attentive staff member looking after our table. He made an effort to make us feel welcome and even remembered us from a previous visit to the restaurant.
A. B.
I met my friend for a quick drink. I sat with him in the lounge upon arrival. Five minutes later I walked into the bar and was told, no problem sir what do you want, we'll bring it over for you. Upon drinks arriving I was asked for my room number. I advised that neither of us were guests and then the waiter was quite flustered about having to get the bill settled. This could have been avoided by checking which room as the first question
R. G.
Great location. Very professional staff. Nothing was a problem. Food well done and heaps of options at all meals. Room comfortable and clean. Enjoyed stay for 10 days.
T. S.
Great buffet meal. We didn't eat seafood so the mamger reduced the cover. Great friendly service for a large hotel. Happy to return.
T. M.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Sofitel. We were allocated a terrific room on the 19th floor and were surprised to have the same room on return. The service was terrible and we had to almost stand on our seats to yell for a coffee or a pot of tea.
K. G.
A good selection of excellent food at Thyme2. We walked in and were treated excellently. Staff were kind and courteous and the setting was very regal. Overall a good place for a business lunch or a special occasion.
R. W.
The buffet was great. Huge range of desserts and seafood. Great table service and atmosphere. Will go definitely go again. Across the road has $5 parking. Very convenient.
M. R.
Great value. The Thyme Square restaurant is a firm favourite. The buffet dinner is superb and offers a huge variety of foods. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Here 2 days and after reading in the Virgin Australia flight magazine about the lounge on the 30th floor I upgraded for 50 bucks. Great value and truly spectacular a whole half floor side to side dedicated to the lounge and such fabulous service.
The room although a club room was at the bottom of what I would expect in this price range and given prices in Australia for hotels are ridiculous you might be disappointed, if coming from abroad.
I hate stand in the bath showers, and the bathroom was pokey small, no complimentary water in the room (Brisbane tap water is disgusting), the windows were filthy on the outside detracting from the view.
Can't fault the service. Staff very attentive.
M. E.
Nice rooms with space, and great views. What impressed me the most though was the staff - all of whom engaged in seemingly genuinely interested conversation without being either obsequious or disinterested. Some of the best customer service I've come across.
M. S.
This hotel is near the central station and has access to the station by escalators. It is across the anzac square and very close to almost everything. 10 min walk to queen park mall, and other attractions in Brisbane.
The rooms were good. Take higher floors to get some view of the city. The staff were very accommodating.
So far, with 2 kids below 5, it's been pleasant for us.
S. J.
Lovely place to stay. Great spa and spa staff -for something different in treatments, try their Opal Rasul Steam Temple; friendly and helpful hotel staff, always smiling. Will stay there again.
B. M.
The Sofitel Brisbane is a lovely luxury hotel in a very central location. Super comfy beds and pillows. Emily at reception is amazing! After getting me late check out until 2pm she found me waiting in the lobby (its 6 hours till my flight) and offered to bring me tea. Can’t beat that for customer service!
R. B.
5 Star Hotel .. excellent service..
We had a one night city escape ... with few different hotels experience..
Checked out previous hotel around 10:30 and just moved to front desk before 11:00 ...
We thought we can drop the bag and go shopping ... but ... room is already ready ...
it suppose be 2:00 check in .... wow ... really good ... front desk service excellent ...
Room is big enough nice and clean ...
We got Anzac side view at 28th floor .. really good of city view ...but some furniture looks old and dark ... and bathroom conditions need to be improved...
Swimming pool at 3rd floor pretty nice .. excellent feeling swim in high tall buildings ...
Pool side staff very kind friendly...
Gym at 30th floor is just enough equipments
But little bit old ... All machines working well ..
Most of experience quite nice except the buffet restaurant (thyme 2) - not worth it ~
Lots of good restaurants choices around city ..
doesn’t need to be go hotel restaurant...
Overall , good 5 star experience in middle of Brisbane city ...
I.
The Sofitel is a beautifully maintained hotel conveniently located in the Brisbane CBD, literally on top of central train station. It had fantastic views of the city as it is on the fringe, poised up high, making the most of the view with windows all along the southern side. The service is high quality as you would expect from a Sofitel. I have been there only for functions and my experiences have always been
positive.
M. M.
Just perfect. Great staff on Friday night the 30/7.
T. M.
Great service and room condition. View from room was amazing. The breakfast was absolutely great ever I had. I will visit again next time for sure.
F. B.
Good location, great food. Rooms are comfortable but need upgrading for the price. Staff is very pleasant.
P. D.
The rooms need to be updated big time as they look dirty and old, the conference rooms roof's look like they are falling apart and ready to drop on your head anytime. But on the other hand the staff are friendly and helpful.
A. M.
Sofitel is a stunning hotel, located right in the heart of the CBD. The room that I stayed in was beautiful. Elegant, modern with chicness and plenty of style. The service at the hotel was impeccable. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
J. S.
Stayed here the night before a wedding with the bridal/groom parties.
The staff were fantastic and I say this after putting them under some stress.
First was having the concierge find a dozen roses for the groom to give to send to the bride, on a Sunday morning. This was followed by having fire services called because the clothes steamer in one of our rooms setting off the alarm. To top it off, the Bride's choice of limo (a chrysler 300c) was inexplicably not sent by the company and at the 11th hour, the Sofitel offered to drive the bride to the wedding in their Audi A8 service car.
All in all, would recommend for wedding groups
C. M.
Breakfast at Sofitel Brisbane. Always great. Staff so welcoming & friendly.
Having this right on Central station is such a bonus as can just hop on a train, door to door service 1🙂
p. m.
We celebrated Christmas dinner in the evening. Couldn't fault the service by the table staff, nor the table settings. But the food, though tasty, was not as plentiful nor diverse as I would have liked. But the idea of having other people prepare and serve our table on Christmas Day certainly appeals. Thank You. Peter May.
T. P.
My preferred hotel in Brisbane.
The Sofitel has large rooms, a good gym, great location and very friendly staff. I have stayed at a few others in Brisbane but the Sofitel is value for money and great 5 star experience.
T. O.
My Mother and I attended this luxurious Hotel for the Wednesday Smorgasbord lunch prior to Melbourne cup. Apart from the wonderful convenience of being able to just step off the train then literally straight into this Hotel, the service here is impeccable!
I look forward to returning !
K.
We had dinner at Thyme2, an incredible buffet with a huge selection of foods including an extensive range of seafood and desserts. Food was delicious and the service was friendly and welcoming.
M. H.
Perfect location over the old central railway station. It sort of feels like 4.5 stars and needs a little freshening up. Rooms are a good size and the buffet is absolutely huge.
S. G. B.
Office I work for regularly hire venue for all employee annouencement at Sofitel. Around 500 staff fit in the venue. Have all the equipment necessary for big meetings are available. I do not know thw cost.
C. K.
Great high tea experience at the club lounge on level 30 for a special occasion. Will be even better if they provide complimentary parking or even cheaper parking rates ($20 for up to 4 hours at the moment) for diners.
M. W.
Went here for our work ball, it was nice to have yr car door opened by the staff, felt very special. It's a beautiful hotel, have even stayed here for a night or two on occasions.
G. B.
Excellent service, great location above the Central station and an easy walk to Queen St mall. Upgrade to a suite was well worth it with plenty of space in the room. Very comfortable.
A. R.
Friendly staff, a good selection of quality bistro meals at realistic prices in a high standard bar
I was reviewing Harlequin Jack's Bistro. Let Toby know please.
J. H.
Classy professional hotel. The top floor club is very nice with great views and complementary food at times. Modern and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff
a. s.
Amazing stay. Mark at concierge was absolutely wonderful. Thankyou Mark!
S. W.
We went for the Father's day breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and range of gluten free options. The food was faultless. Staff were helpful if harried looking.
N. E.
Their Chinese New Years Ball was a fantastic night. Three course meal, live entertainment, dancing. Staff could not be more helpful and polite. Thank you Sofitel and sponsors.
V. S.
I recently attended an awards night atthe sofitel. The food was lovely and the waitstaff were very prompt and friendly. The venue itself is beautiful with great views of briabane. 100% recommend.
J. T.
Went to their dinner buffet for my dad's birthday, excellent selection of seafood, roast and spectacular desserts. Best to go with a voucher ours was only $39 per adult.
G. V. S.
An amazing way to spend a Christmas break.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff and beautifully appointed suit.
Thanks for a wonderful break over a tough holiday period.
A. H.
Always a pleasure coming here. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Can't find any fault or flaws in this place. Shows good management in place as it really creates good impression and customer wanting to come back. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐
R. S.
Fantastic experience with excellent restaurants. The highlight was the customer service – all the staff went out of their way to enhance our stay.
J. K.
Great location for conference. Very central. Food supplied was pretty good although a little limited in choices. Was disappointed with the drink options. Coffee or water. I dont drink coffee so water it was i guess.
C. P.
Great buffet with good selection of foods and variety of deserts. However they definitely need a good coffee machine than the current ordinary coffee they have there.
J. S.
Brilliant, clean, great service and huge lobby with an excellent bar & restaurant. Sofitel Brisbane Central Official Site. Located in the heart of Brisbane CBD, this 5-star hotel offers 433 luxury rooms and suites with modern amenities
m. c.
Xmas buffet lunch. Outstanding food. Dressings with the individual salad would have made it better
R. P.
Yasmeen and the team at reception were always keen to greet us with a smile and help in any way they could. A massive thank you to Yasmeen and all the wonderful staff at Sofitel Brisbane.
H. K.
Buffet was amazing. Best oyster + king prawn ! Can get quiet crowded especially during dinner time! So many people! But taste very good
S. H.
Despite being an Accor Advantage Plus Silver Member, they had the usual annoying reason for not extending any benefits- that I booked through my company and not directly with them. Disappointing. Expected better.
A. M.
The staff at thyme2 are lovely. Theu kept our glasses full and are friendly professional employees even on a Sunday. My partner and I love the food here and will definitely attend again
D. B.
Stayed for a two day conference. Staff and amenities exceptional. Good was pretty good too. Went to pub above train station as drinks at hotel were crazy over priced
A. C.
Always a great stay.
Fantastic food, good service and lovely people.
Worth an upgrade if you can.
Walking distance to CBD.
Good for conferences too.
v. s.
Nice hotel very cozy. But one thing which you should not miss about this hotel is there seafood buffet dinner in there restaurant at the ground floor. This hotel is located right above the railway station and is very convenient.
B. E.
A wonderful nights experience for our 11th wedding anniversary. The venue, the food, the service are all first class. And a VERY comfortable bed.
S. W.
The new year eve dinner was very nice and great value for money. The alcohol that was included in the package was surprisingly nice. The service was very good and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do it this year. Do it it is worth it.
L. G. L.
Amazing hotel. The door man spoke french.i also cleared the mini bar in like 3 mins but I'm on an all expenses paid tour so heck yeah.
G. V.
Nice hotel well placed.but take rooms as high as possible since there is no double glass on the windows...result street noise is for free! Same for the room temperature too cold at night...too hot summer...quite special for a 5 stars?
A. J. B.
Great hotel. Good breakfast. Nice rooms. Good location. Staff were friendly as well.
D. S.
Last minute walk in booking because my flight was cancelled and I was grounded in Brisbane for another night. The service from front desk check in to out was superb and despite the odd hours and last minute requests, I was always treated well.
Thank you Sofitel... or is it Merci?
O. A. K.
Buffet lunch was fresh with large selection and amazing dessert display. Great sign posting of Gluten Free items as well.
R. T.
What an amazing stay we had for for my birthday.
The room was amazing, every staff we come in contact with were amazing.
Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
Regards
Geraldine and Rangi Mikaere
P. C.
The lunch buffet quality has detoriated recently. While the seafood buffet cold section, dessert and cheese is good, the hot section is poor. The only acceptable item is the roast.
l. n.
Food on the night was excellent and variety was good. When we arrived no one came over and served us even though it wasn't packed and plenty of staff saw us just standing there.
V. M.
Just had a surprise 80th for my mum and everything was perfectly marvellous - from the drawing back of the curtain to reveal the party behind, through to the exquisite high tea menu and the attentiveness of staff. Brilliant.
E. R.
I love the breakfast buffet (you can come and dine without staying the night). Otherwise it's just like all sofitel hotels; brilliant service and lovely rooms at a moderately high price.
N. Z.
Conveniently located in the heart of the city, actually the main train station is down stairs. Rooms are comfortable and the standard of service is excellent.
B. B.
Great service. Awesome central location and train underneath Hotel direct from airport. Rooms nice but could do with a bit of a refresh. Staff first class.
c. W.
Awesome pool area, great place to take a dip and catch the sun for a few hours. Can order drinks to be brought to U by friendly staff who are always smiling
M. T. (.
Buffet is awesome. Expensive on the big nights but worth every penny, though desserts usually suck. Attentive staff and a cool vibe with the atmosphere. Rated A
A. T.
With The Walkers we enjoy the banquet. Take your time. Plenty to enjoy. Slowly. Enjoy the colors. More than amply creme caramel, creme brulee and ice cream. Bon appetit!!
L. C.
Good location, walking distance to south bank. Train Station right in the hotel premises you don't need to go out. So happy we got this hotel. Got early check in and late check out.
N. S.
Had a function at your hotel today 25/07/2019 great service food good but I had a disabled sticker on the car only to find out their are no lifts from carpark I thought was pretty bad or everthing good
C. M.
Very classy restaurant. The buffet option for Fri or Sat nights is the best around. Everything on offer from Sea food to Sweets.
B. C.
Absolutely first class. The staff have a solution for every request. The buffet is flawless and the accommodation is very comfortable and clean. And you know what they say about location.
R. S.
Service was professional and quick. I was there for dining with friends and family. The food (buffet) was plenty and there is numerous choices. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is family friendly.
J. R.
I stayed back in 04 and it was the best service I have ever had anywhere in the world and just a bonus they let me sit in the VIP section for breakfast on my birthday
G. A.
Excellent smorgasbord lunch with fresh prawns, oysters and mussels plus a range of quality hot food. Worth the price if you have an appetite.
T. M.
Hotel Sofitel Central has the best location for the train commuters in Brisbane from the International Airport. Also it has the magnificent facilities to take, especially the bar. The visitor who is the first comer might have some advantage to grade up to high floor, if available.
K.
Been here for buffet
Great atmosphere and seafood
But the hot food is not as good as it cost
Meats are too dry
Desserts are nice, a lot of different variety
Good place for gathering but not highly recommend to people who do not eat seafood
k. b.
I have 50% for buffet dinner from dimmi. Totallt worth it, lots of oyster, entree, especially desert. However, hot food is quite limited. I wish they serve some chinese, vietnamese, japanese food instead of too much of western or indian food.
J. F.
We were there for pre cruise drinks with a party of about 20 people. Good service whilst we enjoyed cocktails and bubbly. Really nice decor.
N. C.
Love the Sofitel. Been for both pleasure and work. On all occasions the staff have provided excellent service. The hotel is clean with sophisticated decor.
M. L.
Outstanding place to stay, the girls in the lounge at breakfast are very helpful and patient and provide excellent service, and check in was super smooth. Highly recommended as a place to stay
B. F.
Excellent hotel, however the internet is TERRIBLY slow. They seem so proud to advertise to everyone that they provide free wifi, but they may as well not have it at all. 5 stars reduced to 4 because of that.
E. R.
Called into the Sofitel this afternoon for a pot of tea. Exhausted and wanted a rest before going home. I had the pleasure of a young man named Emanuel to serve me. What a delight. The most beautiful smile, gentle, caring and so professional. Wow. We need more like Emanuel. Thank you for your understanding Emanuel.
T. N.
Hotel room was great, staff were pleasing and food was nice. Parking available for a fee. Would recommend if staying in Brisbane CBD and cost is not a factor.
S. S.
High tea with the girls. Nice options but far too many sweet options. Be nice if there had been mini quiches ir something else savoury rather than 4 serves of sweets, 2 scones and sandwiches.
O. G.
Great Location, huge hotel, central station is just underground, Queen Street only 5 minutes away. Bfast is amazing, gym to be improved tho, otherwise it’s worth it
r. R.
Location is heart of Brisbane, easy to access to get there, room size is big enough for 2people, but need maintenance in bath room, was bit hard to lock the water handle of sink!
A. N.
Great lobby and great breakfast buffet. Rooms are nice and in line with age of building. Good services available. Yet to check out gym.
J. W.
Staff are ALWAYS ever so happy to help with any situation and work as an excellent team. Very happy with our stay. So luxurious.
J. S.
The place itself is great and is perfectly located in the city. The reason that it wasn't perfect was the breakfast - there is a huge selection but it was bland and the bread very dry - unfortunately. Otherwise the staff was very pleasant.
R. E.
I can't comment on the accommodation aspect as I have not stayed here. I have been to the Thyme 2 restaurant and have been impressed on both occasions. Good deals to be had if you're an Accor loyalty member.
M. C.
Wonderful day spent with family and friends. Staff cheerful and helpful, food all glorious and decadent desserts and lots of champagne. Buffett Lunch tremendous.
R. M.
A very well presented and professional hotel. From a casual business meeting and coffee to dinner, accomodation and functions. Location is great for train commuters. Highly recommended.
D. W.
Decent rooms, though some interiors are a bit dated. Ridiculously overpriced room service menu (e.g. $35 for a meatlovers pizza). Friendly staff and a good location.
O. S.
Such a gorgeous hotel... Staff are so attentive
W. B.
Warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the hotel. Staff are attentive and welcoming. Rooms are a little dated however they are comfortable and clean
C.
Great staff and facilities, restaurant buffet dinner has great selection for the frequent travel so you won't feel like you've exhausted the options after 1 or 2 nights.
S. D.
Delicious food, with plenty of choice. Exceptional staff, always present but never intrusive. Loved it & we would be happy to return anytime
N. W.
Excellent buffet. Great food (especially desserts). Free champagne always good! Staff were both friendly and professional.
D. M.
Great customer service, nice views, rooms up to standard, good location, never had an issue - only reason not 5 stars is the lifts can be fussy when trying to get to your floor and the price of the food/drinks is up there
M. B.
Nice play to stay. Close to the city. All the staff were quite friendly except for the breakfast gate keeper. He was quite rude and didn't make us feel welcomed. Otherwise recommend.
T. M.
Recently had an overnight stay at the Brisbane Sofitel. Excellent service from room service staff. The hotel is a stones throw away from the shopping areas, train station and major venues. The train station is just next door and you can direct train to the airport or the golden cost.
M.
Having stayed here over 10 to 15 times, I can not reccommend the Sofitel more highly... being a member of the Accor loyalty program, I have been effortlessly upgraded each time I have stayed and have enjoyed such benefits as the Sofitel Club, which offers some of Brisbane's finest views and canapes...
S. B.
Only stayed the one night and it was easy to get back to the airport and desk staff were helpful, bar staff were very friendly, only down side was lifts took 15 minutes to get, seemed to be only 2 working when we checked out.
S. R.
It's a 5 star stay for a reason. Wonderful, comfy rooms. Gorgeous food for both dinner and breakfast.
J. “. W.
One of the greatest Australian buffets. From seafood to deserts Sofitel has you sorted. Bottomless champagne on Sunday. 🤩
R.
Lovely luxury hotel near the central station and close to everything in the CBD. Rooms are a bit dated compare to other Sofitels in Australia but the rooms are large and spacious.
B. V. G.
Absolutely love staying here. Friendly, professional staff. Great location close to town and breakfast buffet is amazing!
R. R.
I stayed 1 night only, the hotel was quite old building with old lift. Good Location in the city center, central station in the same building so you just go down use the elevator in the lobby.
R. K.
Well appointed, service very good, buffet excellent, however Club is not up to its previous high standard, think they are trying to save money
B. M.
Attended for a conference, venue was good. AV worked as expected which is unusual for these events. Lunch in the restaurant was really good, nice restaurant pleasant service.
B. R.
Recommend the higher floor Club Sofitel rooms, with Club Sofitel access. The pre-dinner drinks and canapes are wonderful. The Cuvee Lounge is nice to relax in also.
V. M.
Attended a conference and the staff were nice and helpful. Rooms were great as were the facilities. Very good technicians helped make the event run smoothly.
G. P.
Food selection for breakfast was reasonably good. The coffee we ordered was the worst I've had. Staff assistance was generally fix, though slow.
J. C.
Amazing attention to detail, wonderful staff and a lovely room. Breakfast bar was world class and equal to any other that I've been to.
J. C.
The atmosphere, location (located directly about central station and the heart of Brisbane City) and staff were great. A good place to hold an event although parking is quite pricey.
V. H.
Nice hotel with fantastic buffet breakfast and good gym facilities. Rooms slightly dated and not flashy by any means, but clean and pleasant to stay in.
J. L.
Great hotel. Bathroom is a little dated but great service makes up for it. Excellent location.
L. V.
Only had dinner but it was wonderful. Just got food from the buffet. It tasted much fresher than other buffets I have eaten from. Would definitely go again.
D. T.
Atmosphere is wonderful there, the function rooms are great, the staff were great to deal with, ammenities nice and clean and well maintained, and the food...OH THE FOOD!! Well done Sofitel the food was amazing :)
S. F.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, amazing food. Great place to stay, have dinner or just sit in an cool down when it's hot out.
T. M.
The rooms are clean and the breakfast buffet has some good variety. The style inside the rooms is a bit dated but in good condition.
J. A. O.
Classic five star hotel with restaurants, function rooms and bars. Met Milos Raonic tennis player from Canada when delivered a new Yorker Domino's pizza to him at the Sofitel when he was playing at The Brisbane International
M. M.
Attended a professional event. Staff were helpful when I had trouble finding the function room. Hotel location is very convenient right next to public carparking and Central Station.
Y. H.
A great place!... loved our stay there... need to improve on their food (breakfast and dinner buffets)... but other than that everything was great!
N. H.
The rooms are very comfortable with great views. Nice bar downstairs and the buffet is massive. Great location. Friendly staff.
E.
Great hotel, nice and clean rooms and very good service. Rooms are nice and big, sheets are clean and the bed is very comfortable! Will definitely be back next time!
J. L.
Location is convenient. Walking distance to queen street mall and other supermarkets. Hotel rooms are spacious, friendly staff. Rooms are slightly out dated though.
C. M.
Exactly what you would expect from a 5 star hotel in a capital city. Lovely staff and the food is first class, but you pay for the privilege quite handsomely.
E. T.
Went for tea and cake, there wasn't a great choice, and the tea wasn't very nice, although it was loose leaf, which can be difficult to find at cafes. The service was very attentive and the bar area was clean and quiet.
S. J.
Breakfast buffet was great! Huge variety and the staff were very accommodating. They also made a great flat white.
S. H.
The buffet here is always excellent, if a little expensive. You do get a lot of fresh seafood for your money though.
C. C.
Stayed for 2 nights with access to the club level. Was an amazing experience. Staff were great and more then happy to help with anything. Would recommend this to anyone.
N.
Great place to stay, rooms are clean and concierge service is good! Ordered ice for our room and was delivered promptly. Would stay again!
S. S.
Attended a function followed by a wonderful buffet it was all 5 stars ..if in Brisbane indulge yourself to a bit of luxury we all deserved it ..
T. D.
Went there for the seafood buffet which was quite expensive. It was alright. We had a lovely serviceman who was very accommodating, friendly and attentive.
A. N.
Rooms lovely but almost ready for a refurb. Staff delightful. Stephanie spa amazing. For couples the romance package is a must.
E. L.
Absolutely amazing service at the interactive dining restaurant, THYME2. I was extremely impressed by the quality of the seafood and other items available. Perfect place for a couple or group to go for a special occasion.
g. z.
Thoroughly enjoyed the buffet lunch. Staff were polite and ever present to refill your glass. Food was top quality
N. B.
Standard hotel, but in addition to typical top floor gym also has 'elite gym' to tempt visiting sports teams. Got it to myself and it was excellent
A. B.
Only stayed here due to velocity rewards points share. Room was very tired looking and bathroom needed a major upgrade. Shower squirted more water at the ceiling than through the shower head
J. X.
Buffet food was nice and replenished throughout the night. Also nice service - used dishes were usually taken away pretty quickly :)
j. A.
BEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE IVE HAD IN YEARS.MY PARTNER AND I JUST ENJOYED A SENSATIONAL ACCOR PACKAGE 2 NIGHTS EXPERIENCE,GREAT FOOD ,GREAT STAFF,GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.ROOM WAS AWESOME,FIERST TIME VISITOR.WILL BE COMING BACK JOHN ADAMS AND ANNETTE MCDOWELL
J. B.
Great hotel, good service and clean room. Breakfast buffet is okay, but worth visiting if bundled with your stay.
J. I.
Great atmosphere staff attentive.
Lacking a couple of staple breakfast item, like avocado and strawberries which have always been in the past
H. W.
Food was ok. Nothing I would rave about. Service was good. Function was in a big area but it was a little hot. Even waiting outside in hall way Was hot.
P. O.
Absolutely quality service from the concierge , A long drive from Hervey Bay for an appt , One carpark was full so went to Sofitel , My 4wd wouldn't fit !!! Thank you very much Sofitel Brisbane you've been a great help
D. 2.
Really nicely decorated, and fancy place. But the platter (nice though it was) didn't seem to have as much as previous, and didn't come with dip. Good service though
D. K.
A very nice and clean hotel with great amenities, comfy beds and professional staff.
The very is also good, and it's located in the heart of Brisbane.
J. B.
Buffet was pretty good. Lots of seafood and other stuff. Aircon could be stronger; it was quite warm inside.
L. M.
Beautiful the refurbishments ate amazing, so ate the staff
G. P.
Food is very good. The wait staff are great. I could not fault this lunch and would recommend it to anyone
N. M.
Staff are great! Very friendly and helpful. The bed and pillows were a little soft but alright. Great for food 👍🏼
P. G.
Friendly attentive staff, however if a good fitness centre is a pre-requisite for a stay then look elsewhere. Definitely sub par for a high end brand.
J. M.
The restaurants are amazing, with great food and atmosphere. Would not hesitate to have another work function here or to celebrate special occasions with the family.
N. P.
Great buffet menu. Variety of options of both veg and non veg food. Staff can be a little more friendly and quick.
V. V. S.
Had a dinner at the Thyme 2 restaurant on Sunday night. Average selection of hot meals, although nice dessert area and tea selection. Average service, overpriced
