R. W.Best hostel I've stayed at by far. Its clean and pretty laid back. Highly recommend coming here to do your days for your working visa if your a backpacker because there is plenty of work on local farms (good hours).

This was my first working hostel and experience working on a farm in Australia. Penny and Ben had a job available for us to start working the next day after arrival. Small details as remembering every person's name goes a long way and didn't go unnoticed. 2 TV rooms, Large outdoor field, winery next door, outdoor gym area and plenty of cupboard/fridge space. It was made clear that we are always welcome and were there if we ever needed help. 10/10 would stay again. Thanks again guys :)
L. Z.This place became my home away from home! I really love how Penny and Ben take care of Summit Backpackers and is a place where every backpacker can feel welcomed and get their farm work done. The farm work you can get around the area is fair and the environment is safe and respectful. I'm happy I found this place for my farm experience. If you are looking for farm jobs around Queensland, this is the place you should go!
t. f.I came to this place by chance and didn’t wanted to stay long-term. But I never met owners like that. There are like parents, caring of everyone, nicest people ! And the only owners I’ve seen in Australia who find you jobs in 1 day even if you tell them that you stay only for a week ! I definitely recommend this place !!
P. P.I spent 10 weeks in the Summit Backpackers and I had there the best time of my life. There are many jobs in this area and Ben/ Penny the owners of the hostels are helpful for finding a job or with other stuffs. The atmosphere with the other guests are like a family and the rooms are really good and the place is so amazing/ peaceful. I highly recommend this hostel which is clean as well.

The owners are great, awesome people living here, big kitchen, rooms are nice, the rent is cheap and the jobs are good paid. I was here while Christmas time and it felt like home because of the atmosphere. They really want you to have a good time and that you are enjoying yourself.

Big house to share and also a little cottage.
Places to chill & watch Netflix, good outside area that’s sheltered plus a huge garden for whatever you wanna do.. not to mention the huge communal kitchen/lounge/weekend party area.
Again a great place to make your farm work family.
B. B.I was here for around 6months to complete my 88days and then some more. Great hostel. Ben and Penny really care about their guests. Couldn't have done it without them.
Fantastic vibe at the hostel too, everyone is super friendly and welcoming, like a massive family (about 60-70 people when full). Can't think of a better place to do your days or even just for a couple of months to save some money. My home from home!
