N. J.Stopped in for lunch, was disappointed in the food, especially for the price. Steaks were overcooked and mostly gristle, rissoles were dry and bland. Chips were nice, gravy was good. Waitstaff were friendly and nice, but the bartender seemed to be having a bad day.

$18 Seafood basket consisted of 3 small calamari rings, 2 small prawn cutlets, 2 fish bites & 2 fake scallops.
Accompaning chips on both meals were dry, rubbery/old tasting, like they had been in a warmer too long. The 1 tlb of "salad" on the plate was not worth putting there.
Chic snitzel with ham & cheese topper had a thick (microwave?) melted glob of cheese, with yuk chips & a decent/normal amount of salad that unfortunately was swimming with oil.
Staff was nice, but it was concerning that lady clearing, wiping & resetting the tables had her mask under her nose the whole time.

The menu is short....the service was quick........there's a kids play-room........outdoor smoking areas...2 x pool tables......which seem to be free on Friday nights.....other night's.......it will cost you 3 x 1$ coins....lots of screens showing what's on in sports and racing.......Keno is also available.....there are about a dozen gaming machines.......and some other interesting things to catch your eye!👁️

T. T.Awesome!! If you want a REAL Pub! With traditional, cheap and affordable excellent home cooked meals with a great country feel, pool tables, AFL and league cranking and TVs and a small but comfy room for a Poke! This is the place! A+
B. H.Great character filled pub. Friendly staff. Awesome atmosphere. Only gripe is drinking on the verandah when a cattle truck driver decides to duck into hungry jacks next door. Can get a bit ripe. But hey, it is the country after all. 10/10 !!!

L.The Sundowner is all nearly new after a fire a couple of years ago so all amanaties and bars are modern and well looked after, good size sit at bars pool table,Tab, a number of Poker machines. ,Keno, and a auto teller inside.Parking is ample.But the large front verandah is the icing on the çake with being on the top of a hill the views are extreme of the country side.All in all a good country pub.
