The room was clean and met my needs for a one night overstay, however a longer stay would have me complaining about the missing dishwasher next to the bar fridge - which means cutlery would be washed in the bathroom vanity which would have been yuck. You should add $15/night for a parking spot or pay for on-street parking (except Sundays) because free street parking in Kingston is not easy to find. Great location, walking reach of restaurants, bars and supermarket.

I'm so in love with this place, there wasn't a thing that I didn't love about it! The washer/dryer, the stove top and omg espresso machine too! The bed is so comfortable and the room was absolutely spotless. The view from my room was great and its close to restaurants and shops as well as transport and the train station, I could go on and on about how perfect this place is but let's face it, there's not enough room to write it all down. I'm thoroughly impressed and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay! Worth every minute spent here and definitely worth the money. Thanks guys, can't wait to come and stay again and honestly I'd like a holiday JUST to stay here again ✌🏻♥️

So clean, dogs welcomed. Check in fantastically easy. So close to meals, coffee & supermarket. Kitchenette very good. All utensils supplied that we might need. Room is compact but very well planned.... and so clean!! We're riding bikes everywhere. Brought our own but hotel has some for hire.
Thank you for our clean & comfortable stay.

The phone reception and front desk reception were very kind and helpful. It's such a clean, modern, convenient location with a supermarket, shops, restaurants all within a block or two. I'd recommend this place for anyone with business or family in the area. Lots of bus stops nearby as well, with the train station only 4 blocks away.

Brown young girl on reception was really helpful and sweet . Coffee machine was missing from my room I was on a long stay , I asked twice to the girl on reception but she ignored me next day the brown girl came on desk and resolved this problem and my other issues as well. I gifted her a flowers while checking out 💐
Great hotel but a lot of infrastructure things were not to the point 1. Shower is so big for small bathroom. 2. Parking spaces are so tight . 3 . Lift .. slowest lift ever .

First of all, we need to call out the outstanding staff, especially Rhiannon. The service and room preparation and presentation were all exceptional and Rhiannon was most helpful... However; there were a few issues with the room that were something of a letdown.
First of all, one of the chairs fell apart when sat on. I think the glue on some joins had failed but instead of being properly repaired, it had been pushed back together and of course was destined to fail when the next person used it. Next, the fridge made a most annoying and loud noise in the night. I got out of bed and set the fridge to be barely cool so as to return to sleep but here it is 4:45am so that was a fail😫.
I noticed that the bedside clock radio was set wrong and unplugged it. Honestly;. You need an app to cast to the TV, you virtually have to be online to book. Smart phone are virtually a prerequisite so who needs a clock that may have an alarm still set from the last guest who had to catch an early flight.
Once again, thank you Rhiannon without whom the star count would have been ... I don't know... Two?

Starting from reception to rooms everything was just perfect!!! stayed there this weekend . The lady on reception was super girl , she was handling angry fellows so nicely and managing everything for everybody. Niktha was her name I think (I managed to ask her) I literally fell in love with her cute voice ❤️ wanted to get her number but I might have sounded silly 😜

Great place to stay in Canberra.
Everything done efficiently.
Very clean and presentable.
Would definitely stay again.

First, the room was very clean and nicely arranged. Absolutely top!
I just think the staff could have been more welcoming, friendly and open. I tried to call to ask for an earlier check-in but it took quite a view attempts to get someone answering the phone. Once I was there, another wait time with other guests until someone was serving the reception. ame on the day of checkouts no reception attendance. The staff wasn't unfriendly but seemingly bored or annoyed in her tone and expression. Otherwise, room was great value

Nice hotel and a decent price. It is situated in a good area with a few shops and restaurants nearby.
Shower wasn't sealed properly so leaked, which was rather annoying.

I chose this hotel as its pet friendly. Really nice modern room. It is at street level so you can hear noise traffic outside. I got the courtyard room, which mentioned sunken courtyard which I was perplexed on as its just a 2 m wide by 2 feet legnth tiled outdoor floor space. The courtyard is well lit up at night with led lights which make it hard to block that light coming into the room. Reception was ok nothing too fancy in terms of being welcoming, altho I got a dog toy and some treats which was lovely. Located close to shops and takeaway food. Nice area.

Beautiful room, lovely staff and great location. I booked a room here for my partners 21st birthday. Once we arrived not only was the receptionist friendly and efficient (unfortunately didn’t get her name - but was a younger lady with black hair), but she even gave us a free bottle of wine! Once I got up to the room, they had left us a lovely note on the bed, wishing my girlfriend a happy 21st and even gifted us a room upgrade to a balcony suite. The room itself was clean, spacious and very modern. Downside was unfortunately no parking, but for the price of the room, which was very affordable in my opinion, you can put up with the $9 over night parking fee. Definitely would stay here again, I had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting an easy stay in a good location.

This hotel was amazing. Clean and very comfortable. Staff were also very professional and happy to assist where they could. Great location near restaurants, cafes, supermarket and bars and moments from the waterfront. Will definitely make this my go to place when I'm in Canberra.

Fabulous stay at Abode Kingston over Easter - room was lovely and the young lady on Reception Easter Saturday and Sunday was a real asset. All the holidaying dogs were amazing and I even met neighbours from the Blue Mountains with their pooch. Location is excellent.

Conveniently located, clean and quiet pet friendly hotel right next to some great cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. Friendly staff, secure parking, coffee machine and a selection of snacks and food available. Great accommodation for pet owners checking out Canberra 🏨🐶👍🛌

Stayed for two nights - there were two of us. The beds were firm but good. Appliances included were satisfactory - there was even a hair dryer in our room.
However we could not get our stove working! Instructions would have been helpful. Wasn't a problem due to its location being close to restaurants. There was no dining area in the room. Floor mats in the bathroom would have helped keep the floor dry.
Basement parking came at an additional cost and there were limited spaces.

Our room was nice but quite small. We stayed in a dogfriendly room that had a bit of a funny smell when we arrived, and a stain on the carpet but that might be what to expect in a dog room (?).
Pretty noisy rooms if you're on the first floor, we could hear people's conversations when they walked past outside on the street. Other people's toilets flushing during the night was also pretty loud.
Good location tho, close to shops and restaurants.

Amazing location, well appointed rooms and great value for money.

Stayed here for two nights in a executive studio. There is parking at the front of the hotel but it is mostly all paid. I had a pretty high expectation given how new the hotel is and the reviews I read. Check in was not the best, had to wait around 5 minutes until someone finally came (5pm) when the receptionist finally arrived she didn’t seem interested and was quite unprofessional. Seemingly did not know anything about parking when we asked as well.
The room was a good size and upon entering looked quite fresh. Bed on the small side though (however was comfy). There is a lot of seating options and a small kitchen. The coffee machine did not work. Lots of things were showing age, which was really disappointing given how new this hotel is.
Curtains did not fully block out the light which was really annoying.
The bathroom was poorly designed. It flooded every time we had a shower. Sink is also way to low, not practical enough.
Wifi was fast and reliable and the tv allowed for streaming from your own device.
A staff member seemingly did not care about the Covid rules as she entered the lift with myself and two other guests (I presume she was showing the guests to their room). This is a serious concern given the current situation (it was advised that only one person/family go into the lift at a time)
On our last day the lift had rubbish in it. A bit unacceptable for a hotel.
Overall this is an average hotel. The service was not good, room was showing age however it is not terrible. I wouldn’t stay here for more than two nights. For the price paid, there are better hotels in the area.

Stayed here specifically for the pet friendly rooms. Pleasantly surprised by the modern, clean spaces. Great restaurants and cafes close by in easy walking distance. Only down side was reception closed from 6pm and shower water spreads over the bathroom floor. That said, would definitely stay again.

A new hotel in the heart of Kingston. Walking distance to a range of cafes and restaurants and bars. Great location. There is plenty of on street parking but on the weekdays this is all paid parking. The room we took was a pet friendly room. The room was good. A bit on the small size but very well appointed. The room can a classed as a apartment type room rather than a traditional hotel room as it has a functional kitchen with dish washer, fridge, induction cook tops plus a washing machine.
The only negative I would say is that the room is not that pet friendly. The room has a very small balcony that is tiled with no hose to clean up after your pet. Unlike other pet friendly hotels in Canberra such as a Mercure, there is no pet bed or water bowl. These are nice touches but not critical. Also the room is mostly carpeted. That can a problem for some depending on the weather.

Last night I had the pleasure of staying at the Abode Hotel in Kingston for business. Of late, I have been traveling to Canberra on a weekly basis and have to say it was by far the BEST hotel I have stayed in yet!!
From arrival to departure, it was seamless. The room was beautiful and clean, the sheets were crisp and the bed ridiculously comfortable.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, I look forward to returning next Wednesday.
Jodie :)

It's in a nice quiet location but not much to do. The room was clean. I thought the front desk could have been more welcoming/helpful.
We booked a 'balcony' room which I don't think should actually be allowed to be called that.
I booked this hotel instead of another for this feature and was disappointed.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms are very clean and quiet, the bed is good, room size OK. For us (a couple staying for one night), we had everything we needed, however we thought it was a bit pricey, a bit far from the city and they charge you to park in the hotel!
P. W.
Reception was great - everyone friendly. Rooms were clean and generous with plenty of light but also heavy curtains if needed. Would definitely stay again - definitely worth it to pay for parking - $15 is nothing for the ease

Stayed here for a night with a very low last minute price.
Pros:
- Location: right next to Kingston shops, restaurants and cafes. Easy to find.
- Parking: on street (free) and limited under build ($15 per days)
- Room (I had a standard hotel room): Clean, modern, and spacious for 1 to 2 people. Very quiet and didn't hear noise from other rooms, corridor or street. Block out curtains to allow a good sleep.
- Bed: firm mattress and firm pillows
- Free WiFi: free WiFi suitable for Netflix streaming plus an easy Chromecast system to the TV in the room.
Cons: Not any really but it's just a standard hotel. I think what I paid was pretty good value. I think at full price I would have probably expected more.
Would I stay here again? Yes I would but only if the price was right.
M. D.
It was clean, fresh and a great location. If you had some more better and bigger mirrors in the room, corridors or even lifts it would help greatly and may even score you more

Lovely and clean rooms. Pet friendly rooms on the ground floor. Good location, Bike hire is a nice touch. Just feels a little understaffed. Had a few issues when we went there.

Everything is so new and shiny! Great, central, comfortable, clean accommodation in the heart of Kingston. Easy walk to Parliament, friendly staff, good competitive rates. Will stay here every time, now I've found it. Highly recommend.

This is a place I will definitely return to. It was comfortable, clean and had everything from a hair dryer to washing machine/dryer, stove, microwave and coffee machine, kitchen utensils etc. There is a small pantry in the lobby where you can buy various items from microwavable dinners to ice cream etc. There are restaurants and coffee shops literally across the road. Everything is at hand. Excellent service as well. Thank you Abode Kingston.

Close to facilities. Lots of eateries and walking distance to the Foreshore where its all happening. Nice clean rooms with kitchen facilities and most of all good service Staffs. Polite ,welcoming and helpful.

Fantastic location. Almost everything you could want is just outside the door, fantastic selection of restaurants and shopping. Easy walk to the lake and other attractions. The hotel is very clean and welcoming, they even have bikes for the guest to use.

Beautiful brand new self catered apartments complete with connection stoves, dishwasher and microwave.
Prime location just moments away from the city centre and a stone's throw away from restaurants and cafes.
Spare the extra couple of dollars for the balcony if you can but it's quite small so not really for entertaining. I'd imagine most won't use it.
Order from the abode pantry if you're wanting for some later night drinks!
A. T.
Room was perfect. Wide and bright. Bed excellent. Panoramic windows from the floor tonthe ceiling. The hoter is located on quiet street not much traffic there. Many shopscand cafeteria across the street. Price is ok if the breakfast was included.

No staff on the front desk for half an hour. Must've been dinner time. I recommend calling to let them know what time you will be checking in.
Incredibly comfortable. Brand new feel and 100 times better then anything else Canberra offers for exactly the same price, maybe even a little cheaper.
