The most impressive thing about this place was Chris, Food & Beverage Manager, whose cool, calm and collected approach under pressure was outstanding, together with his friendly guest orientated approach in every interaction. First encounter was at an extremely busy check-in time around 11pm on a Friday night, when Chris demonstrated his good work ethic and strong initiative by jumping behind the reception desk to help the one other staff member receive the line-up of guests waiting to check in. He similarly went out of his way to engage with guests for the remainder of our stay. Chris is clearly an absolute asset to his employer, whilst his employer should have put more staff on duty with a fully booked hotel and hundreds of guests arriving late on a Friday night to check in. Smart business includes being mindful not to over work and burn out staff.
Hotel was otherwise as described by other reviewers - very tired and dated, overpriced, pool like a fishbowl from the restaurant and lobby, but with comfortable beds as a positive.

Although older style, great value for money! Clean and comfortable.
Chris the Restaurant Manager, very genuine personable service delivery without being over the top, he is a great asset to the hotel
R. N.
Chris in the restaurant was a stand out. He was always friendly and helpful. Rest of the restaurant team also were good. Food selection was ok. Room was ok, the switches turned other way round which was not too much of a hassle. Reception team were quick and felt needed a bit of warmth. Ample parking

it is value for money, and probably the best dog friendly place i stayed in a long time. Service staff was not great and room as a place to lay down your head while visiting family, seen some of the bad reviews and it was not that bad as a room, it is however int eh middle of no where if you have a car it can be quite centric
M. B.
Let's face it.. the accom is marketed towards budget, however our experience was so extra. As Ausies, we expect clean rooms and cold beers and I can definitely tick those boxes. The stand out is Chris. He was seemingly everywhere and also right where he should have been. We joked there must have been a twin Chris. He is a keeper and really made our stay unforgettable for all the right reasons. Congratulations Chris, we wouldn't stay anywhere else mate.

Great service, facilities, breakfast and staff. Everyone was kind and helpful and everything was clean and modern. Here are some photos. Breakfast is totally worth it!!!

Always stay here when in Canberra. Is a older hotel but excellent value for money quiet clean and comfortable. Close to everything really can't ask for more.

Chris the Bar Manager is best asset here. He single handedly creates beautiful professional and efficient service. Highly recommend if Chris is on. Sapna at reception is also great.
P. K.
The room was neat and clean. Ample parking and the staffs were really helpful.

Did not stay. Was there for a day course, well laid out and all staff were friendly.

Chris and Sapna were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. We really enjoyed our stay for a night.

It's fine for what it is. Front desk people were very helpful, the pool looked nice enough and the coffees from the bar were good. Rooms could be cleaner. No lift to the first floor and a bit of noise from the bar area.
A. M.
Staff were friendly, courteous and hard working. It is obvious to guests that more staff is needed especially in the kitchen (breakfast) and dining areas.
The room allocated for us has been refurbished, lots of little things weren't …

Nice location. Very quiet. Staff were friendly. Arrived at 4:00pm and had a 10 minute wait for the room to be finished. On entry discovered the TV remote had flat batteries. This was rectified in 7 minutes. Shower is hot and strong. Wi-fi in excellent. We will stay again.
M.
The first room we were given had not been cleaned. We moved to another room. It was very dated, the bathrooms need renovating and the light fitting were uncovered with exposed bulbs. …

Clean room
Hot water
Big comfy bed !
Don’t always believe what you read this place was perfect for the price we paid and what we were looking for
O. U.
Very kind staff who makes you feel more comfortable. Especially, Chris who is working at bar and restaurant

The photos look great but the reality is different. It is very tired ( needs a makeover) and the pool is disappointing. Good prices , the rooms are nice and warm , well serviced and comfortable. When I arrived at 4.30pm (approx.) the bistro was closed because of COVID ( understand ) but there were no snacks , nuts or drinks available and the directions to the room a bit vague.
J. C.
The TV remote did not work. Asked for a new remote and that worked except for the volume.
Rooms are ok, but not well insulated for noise....so you hear all the people who wake up.early.
The breakfast is quite good however and the coffee is made by a barista....
On balance this is a 3 star hotel good for a one night stop over on the way to some where else.

I'm giving my weekend stay in Ibis styles a 4 star. You get what you pay for. Cheap accommodation price for a family to stay in, plus very accommodating and welcoming staff like Ivy from the reception and Jay-r from the cafe. They're both passionate about their jobs.
However, the room wasn't that clean as the linens are a bit dirty and has a hair strands as well.

Just stayed for 2 nights over the weekend.
It was the first weekend of school holiday so that holiday was very busy.
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment.
The manager Chris was very nice and friendly.
Due to Covid, bar was closed and no wine was served.
Sunday the hotel was full. Our room was not ready until 6pm. Breakfast was full and understandable service was slow. Monday most people has gone and service is excellent.
Room is getting tiring but clean.
Will come back.

Comfy beds, helpful and friendly staff. On close inspection some of the fittings are showing their age and becoming rough around the edges. Bedside lamp missing cord to turn on. TV remote was missing but reception was very helpful with a replacement and sorting out a couple of issues with missing components on the tv receiver. On the whole very happy with the service.

We had the best time at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and so very polite. Room was great soft linen and comfy bed, showers were hot with great water pressure. We had breakfast in the dining room every day and loved all the choices. We had dinner 2 nights, and compliments to the chef. The grounds were beautifully kept. We drove away to come home quite sad as we had been treated so well and couldn’t have been more relaxed and comfortable. May I say I’m a smoker and went into the car park( right in front of our room) to have a smoke, I stubbed out my cigarette and disposed of the butt thoughtfully in a bin, I would ask all other smokers to show some respect for this well kept property and do the same. Think of others it only takes a minute to “bin it”
M. D. S.
The team member who greeted us was very kind and very welcoming to the hotel. Our room was neatly done up, however the restaurant morning breakfast was not what I expected. With the otel being full, we expect staffing will be done accordingly. In the breakfast buffet food was replenished well but no tea cups, no glasses for juices and plates. Reception staff needs to be trained more when guests check out, taking time to speak to them and asking about the stay. Not just taking payment and saying just thanks. Especially when regular customers come in to stay.
J. M.
Clean. Bed comfy. TV very hard to navigate and remote wouldn't change channel on some stations.. as only staying 1 night we didn't complain again after a nice man tried to get it going for us. Also couldn't get a beer in the afternoon as the bar was closed.
A. B.
Nice spacious rooms. Big parking. Far away from shops or major shopping centre. Brekky is standard and kind of boring. Staff was friendly. Recommended if you have a car.
C. T.
Had a two bedroom apartment. Had one queen bed and two singles. Kitchen had fridge/freezer, stove top, kettle, toaster and plenty of cupboards. Bathroom was big, well stocked and clean. Main bedroom had iron with ironing board. Dining area had table with four chairs. Loungeroom had large very comfortable L shaped lounge. We found that we were surrounded by rooms of other families of small children but as soon as you close your main room door, you hear absolutely nothing going on outside your room.
My gripes... No extra pillows in any rooms. No need for the dirty decoration pillow on main bed. The lounge needs better position for a more open feeling, we nearly switched the room to the way it "should be" but thought we should leave it alone.
There was also some frustration with the tv. Took a while to get it onto a channel but once it was reset at the wall, it worked.
Last gripe is the blind out to the patio. Either fix it or replace it.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and all the staff were lovely.
Oh, the food in the restuarant was fantastic. Really fresh salads, barramundi and the tradional beef strog was fall apart in your mouth.
Would i stay here again? Yes, absolutely but wont be doing it through a booking site on the internet but going straight through the hotel reception.

Stayed for one night in a family room. The front entrance / office area looked presentable enough but the rear of the hotel, where all the rooms are, was a bit of a mess. It took us a while to work out which block our room was in, as it was not well sign posted.
The room itself was acceptable, bathroom nice and clean with good water pressure in the shower, and free toiletries available.
The TV wasnt working upon arrival but this was eventually rectified after we reported it to staff. The movies on offer did not appear to be Free as stated in the motel guide.
Fly screen on the sliding door out to the balcony was ripped.
We ordered room service for dinner, food was ok and delivered fairly quickly but arrived in takeaway type containers. Some plates and cutlery would have been good.
We were kept awake a bit by other guests slamming their doors and talking loudly, both late at night and first thing in the morning.
Overall, an average motel. Fine for the amount we paid, but some work needed on maintenance and overall presentation.

Neat and Convenient for watching games at Canberra Ballpark due to the easy stroll to the park.
The deluxe queen room had 2 queen sized beds with plenty of room to walk around them. The smart TV was a little tricky to master the "air mouse" remote control.
The room and bathroom were clean and I'm not sure if it was because we had a toddler in the booking but the addition of the step stool was a really handy touch that was appreciated.
Breakfast options were more than adequate and we stayed when the hotel was booked out and I found it no noisier than any other hotel.
Checkout staff seemed a little uninterested (particularly when I mentioned a strong gas smell the day before) but were still pleasant enough.
This place is good value.

Good economy accommodation. Bathroom was very nice. Shower pressure was amazingly good, stable water temperature. Unfortunately though, it couldn't be contained by the shower screen so my clothes that were draped over the toilet got wet. The room itself was reasonably clean. The hallway between all the rooms need a vacuum. Plenty of decent beds for the price.

Went Here for a school trip. I had room 211, which was a pretty great room. Bathroom was nice, everything was working. One thing about the bathroom is that the light switch is located on the powerpoint, which confused my friends and I as a powerpoint switch. The beds were comfortable, especially the double bed. My friend enjoyed sleeping in the single bed for 3 nights. I know this because he told me they were comfortable and clean. My other friend liked sleeping on the top bunk of the bunk bed, but he said it was really creaky, so when ever he was getting up or down, it would creak really loudly, so the teachers would get really annoyed at us if he was going to the bathroom. Room was also nice, with a desk which was handy for writing on. Air conditioning worked, which was good because we had the heating on most of the time because we came in July.Carpets were clean, Doona's were clean AND warm, pillows were soft and clean as well. Like other people have mentioned, You could hear everything next door is doing. My friends were also quite upset that we couldn't watch TV, which was a big down for us. Overall, the rooms were great, but my friends and teachers got REALLY annoyed with the key lock. The key we had just wouldn't open the door, and we kept having to use the master key, which was a nuisance because every time we came back to our room everyone had already gotten into their room but we had to wait for the master key because the Room 211 key just would budge. Please fix this. On the other hand, the food was really nice. We had all types of thing from bacon and eggs to lasagne. But my friends mentioned the eggs had a bad taste to them, which they said was an unpleasant experience to eat them. But overall the food was great.
Overall, ibis Styles Canberra was a really nice place to stay in, especially when it was so close to all the attractions.
B.
For a generally cheap hotel the rooms are quite decent. There is 1 double and 1 single bed in each room, and so they can accommodate around 3 people. The room is also quite large and spacious.
They have a 'smart tv' which contains an internet browser, movies, etc. However it is very slow and so I would recommend just not bothering with the additional features and sticking to just using it to watch tv.
The WiFi service is good and free. The signal strength is very good as they have a separate router in each room. However the cables used for the router and tv look a little messy; but I find that alright.
Overall this is a good place to stay for the price, as it is quite cheap. I would recommend.
C. W.
It was a nice place to stay.
Staff were very friendly and professional!
Rooms are clean, but did have an odd smell.
One of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever had in a hotel. Most in Canberra have LOADS of mold, but this one was fantastic.
Very happy with our stay.
F. Z.
Room was clean, some staff we interacted with seemed like they couldn't be bothered to answer our questions about the facilities while others were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet could be better, we have a feeling the hotel was understaffed when it came to the breakfast crowd as well as. Sometimes there was not enough cups for guests to use.
K. P.
Really grubby hallway. Chunks of mud from someone shoes was still there over 3 days. Buffet breakie was not available due to covid. Alternative was a small menu that was quite expensive for the quality. We went to cafe instead. Room clean, air con good. No Foxtel.
O. R.
Upgraded motel with refurbished bathrooms. Accommodations are well maintained, rooms are clean and there's a recently redone pool area. Decent bistro and bar that doubles as the breakfast lounge. Breakfast was surprisingly good - eggs are real and the poached eggs were not overdone. Machine coffee. At this price point its a wonderful pitstop when on a road trip and will work for individual, couples and young families alike.
M. S.
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Complementary coffee in the foyer for our friends while they waited for us to arrive. Had dinner two nights in the restaurant. We all had something different and really enjoyed our meals. Restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Clean good sized room comfortable bed. Bathroom a little small but perfectly adequate. Forgot to mention the best bedside lamps!
T. P.
Pluses:
+ Furniture is not bad.
+ Bathroom is good as recently renovated
Minus:
- A/C drips annoyingly whole night and soaked wet my stuff underneath.
- No movies or games in TV as advertised
- 2 out of 4 door with card-activated devices failed.
- Pool water is murky, not safe to use.
- Compensation is extremely minimal (1 free drink) when complained for all of those issues.
Won't come back again.
M. R. K.
Good accommodation for what you pay. Could use better pillows though, would recommend bringing your own. Showers abit small but 6 foot person problems. Otherwise very good budget accommodation. Also very flexible with check in and check out times. Also has a community pool area for guests to use
M. S.
Rooms are good and everything works. If not, house keeping fixed it very quickly.
Breakfast/restaurany is good and has everything you would want.
Place was super busy so hard to get a park.
Swimming pool needs attention. Water was clean but tiles falling off and the kiddie safety fence was broken.
I think they are closing the pool soon for much needed renovations. Overall good much much needed attention to the pool area and kiddie fence safety drags the rating down.

A good hotel. Has been repurposed into an Ibis Styles from an earlier brand. That's not a bad thing as the rooms are larger than a European Ibis Styles. My room was quiet - only heard an adjacent shower in the morning. I got parking close to my room but preferred to park a little further away in a spot that was easier to get in and out of. The reception staff were friendly and professional.
I had only two minor quibbles, neither of which put me off returning. (1) I found the pillows small and too firm and woke up with a headache. After the first night I went to Big W and bought a softer/higher pillow for $15. Problem solved. (2) No Foxtel or Sky News on the TV.
R. M.
Had a superior queen room and got a very good rate. Room was clean & had a nice modern bathroom. It was quiet because we were away from the pool. Parking was a issue one night. Breakfast was great. The staff were relaxed but very helpful.
Public areas (halls & bfast room) needed a vacum. We'd stay again.

Ibis styles represents budget value for money accommodation for short weekend trips.
We used the space for an overnight trip.
The rooms are designed for purely sleeping in. I would not recommend this place for longer stays (> 2 nights) as you will most likely need more amenities and space.
We all felt that the beds were all too soft for our liking.
The restaurant on site was ok.
If you are looking for a budget, value for money accommodation for a short trip, this is a good place.
The amenities are very basic, so as long as you understand and expect this, you will find this accommodation reasonable

Me and my partner stayed at ibis styles as a overnight stop travelling back from a week away skiing, we just needed somewhere to sleep overnight so we didnt need anything fancy. The hotel went above and beyond our expectations the lady on the front desk was lovely, very welcoming and informative, the bed was comfy, they also had a great range of entertainment to watch on the tv with free movies which we enjoyed very much, the room was very clean, we only had one thing to fault which was the bathroom had an extremely strong smell of bleach this wasnt to much of a bother though. If you're after somewhere nice to stay overnight and not worried about it being fancy i would highly reccomend this hotel.
w. k.
Lovely place to stay with ausome location to access the city.
G. S.
The property is generally a bit "Fawlty Towers". Family room was comfortable enough, but fit out was in need of some TLC. For instance the fridge didn't fit neatly in its nook, meaning you had to play around with it to get it to close properly. There is a fancy pants TV STB setup that theoretically gave you on demand movies etc, although we struggled to make it go. Also the tap in the bathroom sink was set up to be so sensitive that when you turned it on water went flying out at you... Pool was nice, but the water was really really cold because it's not heated and in shade for most of the day.
h. w.
We had a great stay in your hotel! Rooms were basic but very clean, bathroom was lovely, beds very comfortable and breakfast was yummy. Only criticism I have is breakfast staff could be a little friendlier but I realise they are busy it's not always easy. We would definitely stay here again.
S. C.
Showers- Terrible and fan in the bathroom poor.
Parking. .. if this was quiet time the not a lot of parking. Got back at 11pm and almost had to park on the street
Room was dark n old carpet but the room was clean.
Staff were very helpful and friendly... awesome work
Breakfast was full buffet and was fantastic.
Only place that offered early check in.
Overall. .. not 4.5 stars and not worth $140. But would stay again
Y.
Nice clean room but way too noisy. Insulation seems poor and my room was surrounded by others and I could just hear everything. Showers, toilets, snoring, coughing. Was like sharing a bedroom with strangers. Signs to rooms quite poor and wasn't obvious where to go. Breakfast options where great and staff all great.
S.
My wife held a function in one of their rooms, the staff were very friendly and helpful, were able to meet all our requests. The room was clean and well presented, ample parking. Only thing I would mention is the sliding glass door entrance to the function room needs repair, other than that very happy with the price, service, location and amenities
C. B.
The photos can be a bit misleading. The place has a motel-style feel so you do get what you pay for. But I'm only rating it lower because the breakfast was far from good and the furniture in our tore an item of clothing. The staff are friendly enough.
F. A.
I tried to email Debbie the guest services manager directly but contact email link is not working. We purchased a Versailles Package deal and stayed on 31/1/17. There were some very frustrating mistakes on check in. It was extremely hot and we were not given the room we booked. This saw me having to walk back to reception 3 times before it was sorted. We were only in Canberra overnight and had much to do in our time frame. Check in took away at least 1 hour of this time. On a positive note, when we finally got the right room, we found it comfortable and clean. The aircon worked beautifully which I was extremely grateful. Amenities were great and when we got back to the room that night, the movie choices were appreciated. It wasn't the quietest place we have stayed but it was ok for the 1 night. The package deal we purchased was excellent except we were not offered the champagne on arrival nor was I given the tote bag. I actually had to ask the guy that booked us in for our tickets to the exhibition etc. Said he had no details when in fact they were sitting on the desk a meter from him. Debbie, like I said I tried to send you a personal email about this. Can you please contact me hear so we can get what we paid for somehow? BTW breakfast was nice.
C. S.
We got a great deal off one of the last min deal sites so the cost was great fro us. Room was good breakfast was good. Happy with free wifi and great movie selection on the TV. Looking at previous reviews a few ppl have found
dirty bathrooms, ours looked updated. Just wonder if the whole hotel is the same.
M. S.
For the first night, they gave my room to someone else with the same surname or something by accident so I got a motel style room instead of a hotel one. The breakfast bar was amazing so I was thankful for the breakfast ticket compensation for the mistake. They have a pancake machine. I like that. The next night I booked the hotel style room again and actually got the room I booked. That was not noisy at all and was clean. much better than the motel style one with domestic abuse noises from other room next door the first night >< Anyway, hotel style rooms were nice and the motel style ones were motel style...you will get what you pay for if there is no booking mistakes.
V. L.
Simple, neat rooms with basic furniture and indeed value for money in Canberra.
Good breakfast options and quite a varied lunch /dinner menu with excellent bar stock. Loved the Nepalese style chicken.
T. S.
As above and nothing was really done cleaners do not clean above eye level found used soap etc
would you as a paying guest be happy paying good money for that
A. C.
Good size beds. Friendly staff except for the cook at the restaurant. I asked for fried eggs and she said NO. No reason given even though i was willing to pay extra. I think she just doesn’t wanted to be bothered to cook extra for guests. So disappointed..
A. M.
When only paying $30 a head to stay the night it's difficult to complain. Beds were comfy. A-C could use a service but screen door allowed air flow although it had a tear in it. Only one coffee cup 2 spoons - but we NO COMPLAIN We had a good rest & kids enjoyed the pool
B. S.
Had a room booked for just over $100 for two people. Good looking hotel from the outside, friendly staff on reception and from requests. Surprised at the quality of the room when I walked in, it smelled as if it had just been re-carpeted. Large wall mounted TV (with streaming box), balcony, well kitted out bathroom. The location is not too bad, there are restaurants and shops between a 15-30 minute walk.
G. W.
Older furnished hotel but in excellent condition. Great value which explained why it was full. Bed was very comfortable. Ensuite was dated but clean and in good repair. No remote for the aircon but it was on and the room very comfortable. Jug worked. Clean cups and spoons and milk in the fridge. Nice teas and coffees. Would recommend to others. 15 to 20 minutes to Canberra Central.
L. S.
Good hotel. Neat and clean place. Rooms are somewhat spacious. They have almost all facilities except that they dont provide iron box , even though they have a iron board. They have a swimming pool , gym as well. Has ample car parking facility too.
P. S.
Used to be a heritage hotel. The room I has needed much help. Easier access to a power socket for the work desk would be useful. The internet style tv just wasn't working as I found the audio and video outputs were never in sync long enough. Food was ok front desk could be better
M. G.
I slept in room 805. I appreciated the free wireless internet and affordable buffet breakfast in the morning. The bathroom facilities were very high quality. Parking near our room was difficult due to the organisation of the car park
M.
I reckon the rooms could use a little maintenance as the one I slept in had a noisy fan in the bathroom. There was an issue with my reservation, which had been paid for the day before, and I had to wait for up to 20 minutes for it to be rectified. I was already asleep by the time a room was made available. Also, parking was unavailable - every slot was taken. Had to park my car off-road, outside the premises.
E. M. (. T.
The rooms are comfortable and modern. The bar and restaurant are great. The only downside to staying here is that it is quite a distance by foot to any other shops, services, or restaurants. The closest ATM is a five minute drive from the motel, and cash cannot be withdrawn anywhere in the. Prepare for this fact and you'll have no complaints of your stay.
D. B. (.
Good location out of the city, rooms are reasonably sized with decent TV with a selection of modern movies available for free. Restaurant on site offers great buffet breakfast for those wanting to buy a decent breaky. Overall it's quite a good stay.
S. S.
We did experience some teething problems in the restaurant with a delay in service. But, to the hotel's credit they rang to apologise. Food was good, room clean and quiet. We were in the executive rooms. We got it at a good price and it is only a short taxi ride to the airport.

Friendly Staff, Nice rooms
E. S. D.
A great IBIS hotel. The room is spacious and the wifi works which is important. it is in a great location if u have a car. The only issues that i had with the place is the noise. the room is not very sound proof and all through the night, you would hear main door and individual doors getting slammed. The breakfast is plenty and varies a bit day to day during our stay. It could get hectic in the morning due to tour buses and large families with kids. One waitress was in fact hurrying us to leave so she can have our table.
H. L.
Convinencely located with plenty of rooms. Clean and tidy room with all the regular hotel equipment. The TV require to use the tv box provided which didn't work in the room we stay. Staff is friendly and helpful, Buffet breakfast not a lot better of choice but decent and tasty.
Z. P.
The Service was Great, There was a very lovely lady who checked us in. Great hotel rooms although we had some trouble with it’s air conditioning. The wifi was the main problem, it was really slow. I was really bummed to see that the pool is not open until 8am, I was expecting it to open at 7. The food was a tad bit overpriced but it was scrumptious and delicious, Overall My experience was great and I would probably go back.
R. C.
It was nice and the staff were friendly. Lost one star because the floor had gross stains all over the carpet and the quilt/doona had visible stains on it too. It had been cleaned no doubt but the stains was off-putting.
Z. M.
The Staff was amazing. The room was a big small for a bedding of 5. But that's to be expected in a budget hotel. The walls seem to be a tad thin as we could hear neighbouring rooms if they were a tad noisy.
L. W.
It's a nice place.
Amenities we have experienced so far:
Pool: Neat today area. Various tables and chairs to sit at. Noodles for swimmers to use for free. Someone broke the inflatable beach ball though 🙁
Kids Room: Room By the pool. Free access granted to all. No hotel staff supervise this area. Parents must supervise their children here. Ask the reception for a key to open the room if it is locked. It was a giant mess. Toys laying everywhere, broken and missing pieces to some toys. It was still enough of an exciting experience for my child though. We enjoyed using the ping pong table and Foosball table.
Lobby: Small but it is spacious enough to accommodate where guests arrive and depart. In the sitting area we thought it was great that there were a few board games to play with (Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit and Dominoes). Weird but comfortable chairs. And a giant plasma screen TV which I'm guessing is predominantly used for viewing sports games if you're at the bar nearby.
Room Service: Quite expensive ($8 for a few slices of cheese bread, $31 for a pizza etc)and not value for money. Would be great to include cheaper items/meal deals for medium to large families that stay several days.
Guest Laundry: you must purchase 1 token for the price of $4 from reception use to washing machine or dryer. Each machine takes 1 token for one load of washing and goes for about 40mins.
Free things: In room and Public area Wi-Fi. In room movies. Car parking.
There's a basketball and tennis court and open field across the road. We are currently a 5-7mins drive from the airport. A 10-12min drive to parliament house and 15mins from the National Convention centre.
D. G.
Simple, clean and comfortable room. There is no lift, so if you get an upstairs room you have to lug your bags up the stairs. Nice menu for dinner and the usual options for breakfast.
J. W.
Very good hotel. Spent 2 nights.
Was easy find, very good staff at reception (I had limited interactivity)
Lot of parking available for anyone who drives because it is hard to find good hotels with parking in Canberra.
Only 4 stars because no Foxtel and no mini bar. I did know this before I booked, so it not a complaint a mere observation.
G. S.
This place was nice. Not the cheapest , good value at $165 for family of 4. staff were friendly and helpful. Included Breakfast was nice. Coffee is rubbish by the way and cheaper to buy your meals at the local restaurants. The smart tv set up was diffucult to use. Stick with foxtel
M. E.
Great place. Friendly staff. Clean. Easy parking, and breakfast was included in the price. Would definitely stay again
m. t.
Nice practical hotel. Easy bus and taxi access to city. Golf course next door. Small outdoor swimming pool. Rooms a bit old but comfortable. No security locks on doors. Hallway noise is louder than should be.
R. C.
Our charity stays here twice a year beds r so comfy! The staff are very friendly. The chef is awesome he even made a huge feed for us when kitchen was closed, after working late. Thanks guys
K. S.
Very helpful staff. They were friendly enough to help me bring my luggage to my room irrespective of the necessity. Highly recommended. Rooms were well organised and clean.
Thanks Pratik for the help with the luggage. :)
A. O.
Room was clean. But for the price I think you can find a better option. Carpet otside the rooms was damaged as well as some of the painting. I was there for only 2 nights. I don't think is ideal for a longer stay
C. F.
Stayed on small clean room at rear of building. Pool was not clean with cracked coping and tiles, many leaves. Breakfast was included however very oily with one staff member covering the whole area and visibly struggling.

Parking is really bad 😨 had to get the very nice reception staff member to climb over the passanger seat to get into the drivers seat😲 Thank goodness he had been a valet parking attendee😄 steps not good for crutches and walking aids. Lots of big groups - sports groups really noisy.Close to manuka, kingston and woden for food or shopping experience.
Y. C.
The place was ok. But i wouldn't say it was great, the same day when we arrived there was 2 people complained about the hotel, one about the hotel booking that got canceled for some reason, and the second one that the receptionist gave him the wrong key, there was someone laying in bed when he opened the door, And when we checked out someone also complained that the cleaners got in to his room without knocking the door while he was in the shower.

Large almost motel location near the centre of town. Pool on-site, gym, free unlimited wifi for 5 devices, good restaurant (dinner was great, buffet breakfast was average, usual cereals toast and small range of hot foods. Closes 10:30 weekends, 9:30 weekdays) and small Bar area.
Only downside is that it really feels like a motel; smaller rooms, nothing to write home about.
I. M.
Room was very dated and needed an uplift badly. TV was tedious to control and it appeared you couldn't adjust the volume using the remote. The room was clean though, and the bathroom was very nice and appeared rather new.
M. T.
Typical sized hotel rooms, nothing special, but the place was clean, comfy beds, with good functional bathroom. Was quite busy being school holidays so parking close to our room wasn't possible. The location is out of the way, nothing much interesting within easy walking distance
M. S.
Room was good. Bathroom very good. Car park was so full when we returned abefore 11pm. Night watchman could not help but arviae to park in vacant land behind car park, which was also filling up fast. Very disappointed.
B. B.
decent, large rooms, but not well insulated. very noisy from footsteps in the hallway.
F. K.
We stayed overnight and the accommodation was good. The provided breakfast was ok however the coffee was some of the worst we've ever had.
E. R.
Always good to stay. Clean nice large family room.shame breakfast buffet is a victim of covid
M. G.
Room is very basic and the room we had didn't match the room described and imaged on their website. The breakfast can be had for a $1 per adult as a special on their website and kids eat free with a paying adult. Check in was a little slow as it was busy.
C. N.
Friendly staff. Good, budget focused accomodation. Not dirty. Hotel is a bit dated but not worn down. Generous offering of inroom entertainment. Quite away from bustle of CBD.
T.
Ive barely spent time in the hotel but room service was great, and they cleaned our room everyday. Their pool was average in size but it was clean. overall a good place for a weekend
M. K.
Nice little hotel. Called up to book a room late at night, 3hrs before we were set to arrive. Had no problems, reception being open til midnight was a huge plus. As well as having some complimentary wifi and breakfast, the staff were very friendly.
P. C.
3 star only but comfortable. Very tired needs a lot of tlc. Restaurant on site was good. Staff friendly & helpful. Car park congested. No designated bays. Probably think twice about staying again.
D. J.
My home away from home. In Canberra frequently on business and have stayed here over 50 nights in the last year. Basic rooms, but you get what you pay for and always friendly service. Free parking but sometimes hard to come by.
A. S.
This is definately value for money location for overnight stay. While room and all facilities inside were excellent, there is scope for improvement with buffet breakfast. Spread can have more vegetarian items to cater to all.
U. M.
The ibis was a great place to stay at for the night. Cheap prices and heaps of beds and space for people. There was easy access for my Grandma who is disabled, the buffet breakfast was excellent, and overall was a great stay.
S. A.
Not too bad. Food wasn't great, and the premium room, should be a standard room for the quality. Bed was also really poor. Sore back. I wouldn't recommend this hotel really, not of you are only here for a quick sleep I guess it'll do
T. C.
Decent motel type place to spend the night. Washrooms was clean but the overall cleanliness like corridors and pathways were strewn with rubbish and not broomed
a.
A very average place. Quite old style rooms and not great service. The receptionist was just rude and sarcastic. She told us that the remote control for the TV was the new Gen thing. Hate dealing with such people.
M. L.
Great location, easy to get around the city. Big comfy rooms, nice staff, buffet breakfast was good. My only low mark would be the shower head is not in the best condition and should be replaced.
J. F.
Fantastic motel for a budget price. I was very surprised. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Has a pool and a bar. I will definitely return to stay.
M. P.
Hotel/motel was clean and staff were friendly. The rooms and decor are outdated and very basic, could do with a makeover but everything worked. Has basic gym and nice bar and dining area.
O. M.
very clean and tidy and good hotel service thanks ibis I would love to make a booking for my next vacation to Canberra❤🙏
n.
Decent place for quick getaway. Good size double bed room. I wish the receptionist was a bit more friendly and welcoming.
M. L.
Great place to stay. Friendly staff. Feel very welcome and respected. Rooms good at reasonable rates with breakfast included.
Has everything the weary traveller needs.
Thank you ibis Styles Canberra
T. M.
The Ibis was in a good location and the rooms were good for the price I paid. The breakfast was average and it was only worth the $10 I paid. I would recommend this hotel if you are after something reasonable and a decent price.
A. T.
location is close to CBD. rooms were clean and nice. service was good but you can hear other guests from the outside. it gets quite loud depending on the other guests staying at the motel...
A. M.
Perfect for our needs. Large room. Comfy bed. Overhead light a bit dim.
R. L.
Some of the rooms are dated and small. But I the newer rooms are not as dated and slightly more comfortable. Reception staff are very friendly. Nice bar area to relax with a drink.
A. B.
Well worth $270 for 2 nights. Included full buffet breakfast for both days
T. M.
Room is clean, but our room had an undesirable view (facing a large rubbish bin). Overall was a comfortable stay and great location.
O. A.
The walls in the rooms are so thin that if someone from an adjoining room uses the bathroom or moves about it feels like someone is in your room! Everything else was fine. Bar staff friendly.
T. R.
Very comfortable and quiet, not too big. Friendly staff, good parking. Rooms are clean. Nothing fancy . Stayed here twice via wotif mystery hotel. We're very comfortable with this as a holiday hotel.
H. P.
Went there for an overnight trip. Decent food, free Wi-Fi which was really fast, bathrooms and rooms were comfortable. Great price range, would stay again if I had to go to Canberra.
M. R.
Recently stayed here to attend a local motorsport event. Overall I was impressed with the parking out back for large vehicles and the proximity to the CBD. The room was a little dated but comfortable and clean.
N. S.
Older property but clean and reasonably quiet. The in room entertainment set up allows you to access Netflix, YouTube and Spotify which is always a winer! If you're stuck inside they've also got board games available.
m. j.
Its nice . The rooms are good. But the only thing that's bad is the pillows or soo hard.
c. s.
Warm clean room furniture needs replacing TV difficult to use good breakfast.
M. R.
This is an excellent hotel with a great breakfasts and is probably one of the better value hotels in the area. Clean rooms and comfortable beds with modernised bathrooms.
A. H.
Room was small but still a good place to stay in a nice area close to the city.
M. v. d. P.
Good hotel for family as the family room has many beds. Clean bathroom with decent amenities. Overpriced food but which hotel is not. Pretty run down rooms and not too clean but bearable.
s. s. k.
A cozy nature clad property in heart of inner south. Close of Kingston railways station and srounded by lush green land. A friendly staff will make your stay enjoyable and if you have any work across the industrial heart of fyshwick, it's just a stone throw away. Catch a bus or an uber or just walk(will keep you healthy)
J. T.
Room was good value for money. Comfy bed, renovated bathroom, but the walls aren't sound proof. Breakfast buffet was below average.
R. G.
I have stayed here several times, the rooms have been upgraded since the Heritage days
The restaurant food and service was very good, the young lady who served me was very helpful. (I am a coeliac).
D. A.
Good location, friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. Non smoking room smells smoky if someone is smoking outside. Exhaust fans in bath aren't working.
J. W.
Love this hotel. It's close to everything and has great drink and food. Jacob is an absolute legend and I would more than likely change hotels if he was to leave the place. That guy single handedly gives this place 5 stars
P. B.
The Ibis styles ticks all the boxes, swimming pool, unlimited free wifi, great range for breakfast and large beds but it is all dated and underwhelming. Kind of reaction you will have is oh, hmmm, its ok.
r. m.
This is a nice cheap place to stay. You get what you pay for so dont expect wonderful luxurious features. However it is a reasonable place to stay at a good price.
A. R.
Clean comfortable room with nice air conditioning. Although the restaurant features oversized and under par food but the pool and gym are great.
S. K.
The hotel was a little confusing to figure out where our room was at first, super tidy, the buffet breakfast was great and there’s a bus stop right out the front, I’d recommend staying here.
H. C.
Pleasant stay, nice and helpful staff, good facilities (and free unlimited internet). Location is a little hard to get to (quieter suburb in the area) but taxi/Uber are inexpensive viable options.
J. N. H.
Very easy to book online. Received free drinks on arrival, room was nice and clean, free movies. Buffet breakfast was very good. Just nice and simple.
G. K.
Well priced basic hotel has a pool. Good option for families. Our family room had a double bed bunk bed and a single bed.
G. K.
Good weather, nice staff & clean hotel . that's what we expect as guest. Thank you for wonderful, there was few faults but housekeeping staff were quick to fix the issue. Thank you
B. L.
Good service on arrival. Adequate room + free movies. A bit distant from Canberra City/Capital Circle, not much around in walking distance.
N. A.
Reception was super helpful and not available form midnight to 6:30. Rooms were clean and variety of choice from very standard to top quality.
D. S.
It's looking a little dated but priced accordingly. Clean and convenient. Can't be too bad we've stayed a few times.
M. M.
for a large and busy motel it's staff are pleasent and helpful and easy to find, the rooms and apartments are spacious and neat and clean there is loads of parking and is well priced I would recommend The ibis styles to anyone for any purpose.
B. A.
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Workers are accommodating
C. w.
Great priced, comfortable bed, has everything you need and is close to good restaurants and fyshwick.
T. B.
The food was below average and reminded me of a service station. The rooms were nice with a large tv. Softer pillows needed
M. v. S.
Good place to stay, not far from CBD. Lots of parking, and located on a quiet street. Rooms are spacious and have lots of powerpoints.
J. S.
Very friendly staff. Dinner was amazing. We stayed in the standard double room which is basic but very clean and everything you needed.
T.
Affordable hotel, about a 15 min cab ride from central. The room was large and comfortable. The shower left a little to be desired. Overall a solid experience
M. C.
Beds are clean and comfortable with all amenities for my overnight stay. Complex is a bit a little dated. Plenty of free parking.
L. F.
Quiet. Furnishings are getting shabby. Hate it when the curtain don't block out the morning sun.
D. H.
Good location with good facilities. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were nice. Overall a nice experience but definitely a budget option
S. M.
Really friendly staff while the room was clean, neat and tidy. There's also a pool, which was convenient. Well located near the city centre.
R. L.
Some of the rooms are dated and small. But I the newer rooms are not as dated and slightly more comfortable. Reception staff are very friendly. Nice bar area to relax with a drink.
N. B.
Stayed in an apartment suite. Room was great with lots of free parking. Breakfast bar was not the best but worth the money.
N. L.
Room was good, but furnishings bit old. Food (breakfast) was average. Good choice of movies. Good location.
R. C.
It was nice and the staff were friendly. Lost one star because the floor had gross stains all over the carpet and the quilt/doona had visible stains on it too. It had been cleaned no doubt but the stains was off-putting.
J. P.
Great service and good neat tidy clean rooms. Great breakfast. Allround great place to stay
J. T.
Room was good value for money. Comfy bed, renovated bathroom, but the walls aren't sound proof. Breakfast buffet was below average.
I. A. S.
Needs a lot of maintenance and general cleaning. Staff were friendly enough. Tommy was comfortable
D. J.
Nice enough, room spacious for couple. Has gym and breakfast for $12
M. L.
It was okay. Friendly staff but the line to the reception was very long. The food is very over priced and it’s $4 extra for room service. The rooms could be a bit bigger and everything could be cheaper
s. p.
The room was great, nice place to stay but outside the room it was very smelly due to the service room next to it. It didn't leave a good impression.
S. K. P.
Well maintained rooms.. But need more lighting in rooms probably downlights will give a face lift... Breakfast is great.
R. S.
Ibis hotel is near by Civic , memorable stay with family, surly love to come back again on opportunity. good housekeeping staff..Nice and clean hotel. Thanks Raj for beautiful flower and welcoming notes .
J. S.
Friendly staff and good food. Unusual Indian decor, chairs, tables, cutlery and serving bowls add to the experience. Annoying aircon noise.
B. W.
I like the and entertainment that you had in the rooms there was not too bad pillows weren't that great but I would like to stay again then all the time
t. m.
Good cheap rooms. Close to my mates house. Loved it. Could improve their gluten free options a bit though.
D. S.
Decent size rooms, nice and clean. Warm too which is essential in Canberra. Not a single issue.
B. H.
Dated accomodation but functional. Suits overnight business stay or travellers on the cheap (or cheap as far as Canberra goes). No local shopping or food outlets nearby so if you're without a vehicle the in house kitchen will be okay'ish
M. N.
Don’t get me wrong I love kids but some kid cried all night and the food delivery truck came at 5:00 am with some noise too.
Positive: free parking
R. G.
Value for an overnight stay, receptionist could have a lesson in customer service. Room is dated, and beds had a dip, but you get what you pay for.
L. L.
Well run considering the number of groups staying there. We had our own dining area. Food basic.
V. J.
We booked a disabilites room we found it excellent for our needs make sure they provide a chair for the shower. Lots of space.
D. O.

The breakfast was great, but my bed was not made the next day and no fresh towels were provided
c.
Clean and nice. Complete supplies. Very spacious room.
Happy to stay again on the next trip.
K. G.
Budget accommodation, plenty of free parking, good restaurant.
J. T.
Pretty bloody good other than the tree chopping which wasn't there fault but chopping down a tree at 8am is a bit unnecessary but the only other complaint is the there's a little ledge when you go into the bathroom and I hit me toe on it like everytime but all over really good
R. H.
Comfortable & clean, but in a double room, surely 2 bedside lamps & 2 chairs are basic requirements
R. W.
Nice lace to stay, very busy. Breakfast was fun, rooms were basic and nice, good movie choice, friendly staff.
S. M.
What a wonderful stay at the hotel for a 2 days.. very friendly staff at the reception (spl thanks to Erin) loved every bit of the hotel right from parking upto the hospitality. ....cheers!😊

M. P. G. W.
It was ok but on Sunday morning the Fire alarm went off and no staff where around what we could see
C. W.
Awesome beds with a nice tv. Had free Netflix. Food superb. Nice spot for your holiday!
P. K.
Ok stay. Nothing special. Uncomfortable bed. Very noisy. Issues with door locks all over the place.

Well maintained rooms. But I had trouble find parking for my car. Breakfast was good.
G. D.
A fair stay for the price but the maintenance man has not visited my room in a while.
H. G.
Clean bed, friendly staffs, good breakfast, but there are many equipments in this nice big room need to be fixed.
S. J.
Functional. Tight parking. Friendly staff. Good media options. A little way from town. Ok for short business trips.

Stayed for one night. Room was clean, manager was friendly. Overall a great experience .

Older building but clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were 3 star too.
J. E.
Cheap rooms good quality and included breakfast and full tv. Quiet rooms. Remote hard to use

A good family motel for travelling & school & business trips. Quiet & good parking, City bus at the door. Staff are great
E. G.
The toilet paper dispenser was broken and we could hear other guests through the walls and door, but otherwise clean and comfortable rooms.
S. D.
Old and non remodelled rooms. Resort style living. Ensuites eat into room views. Needs overhaul.
j. m.
Variety of rooms availabe..
C. F.
Great service, especially Maridelle who went above and beyond to ensure I had a great visit to Canberra. Great price for the quality of facilities and location.
t. r.
The Location was great, Rooms were decent and the internet offered was also great. Complimentary breakfast was also provided.

My hotel room was clean and tidy. Staff were always very helpful and friendly.
O. R.
Price is reasonable, rooms are decent size and quality and condition. Plenty of parking and friendly professional staff
J. M.
Well priced, maintained and located hotel. Some amenities are showing age, but overall above expectations.
