Well located hotel with off street parking. Walking distance to Canberra city centre and shops (about 15 minutes). Room was clean and serviced daily. Good value if you are looking for a budget hotel close to the downtown area of Canberra. I would classify it probably in the 3.5 star category but I'm giving it 4 based on value for money.

Mixed reviews on this accommodation.
3 storeys with about 30 rooms each floor.
Some rooms have been nicely renovated.
Covid has delayed further renovations.
We had an unrenovated family room on the 3rd floor. It wasn't horrible! For the price, $114 per night for 3 adults, it was acceptable.
Undercover parking was very tight and highly sought after. There is limited parking around the building grounds and across the street. Make sure you hide valuables from view and lock up, 2 cars were broken into while we were there. Obviously, this could happen anywhere.
Location was walking distance to Lonsdale St eateries with a petrol station at the back for snacks and supplies.
My biggest complaint would be disrespectful people staying near our room, not the fault of the staff. To their credit, they took our complaints seriously.
It's a case of, you get what you pay for.
I might stay there again but I will definitely check out other options first.

Room was on the 3rd floor, on a hot day, the 2 air-conditioning units cannot handle the heat from the ceiling. Even at night, set to high at 16°C it can only manage to make the room as cold as 24°C at least or warmer. For a hotel/motel in ACT, my expectations were higher.

Location excellent, only a 5 minute walk to the Eleura light rail station, then 10 minutes to Civic. Coles express just across the road. Lonsdale st cafes etc 10 minutes or less walking.
Front of house friendly & helpful.
Car parking awful, mostly very small parking spaces, difficult to get in & out without hitting a post or someone else. The area also needs resurfacing.
Laundry awful. A small room off the car park. Drier on a rickety table, only 1 small washing machine. Advantage: free, but no detergent available for purchase at the office, & very expensive at Coles express. Wifi free, but I couldn’t get it in my room 203, during my entire 4 day stay, in spite of front of house saying the IT man thought it was all OK.
Room clean & adequate. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Had difficulty getting hot plate to work, it was locked, & initially would not unlock. No herbal teas.
Summary, a very basic place to stay, close public transport, but with a few negatives that need attention.

Really friendly team, room was perfectly fine, very convenient location and apart from the building being a little bit tired it is a very pleasant stay. Will be back!
S.
The room is spacious & clean however we were told that we will be receiving information about after hour check-in but we didn't and no one is answering the phone...luckily there was a phone number at the door that we can call when we got there however it wasn't pleasant while we were on the way not knowing whether we will be able to check-in or whether we should start looking for another accommodation.

Very clean modern room with plenty of amenities in the heart of Canberra city. Super easy to find, lovely staff and on site car parking. Easily accessible from Northbourne Avenue Light-rail, and lots of e-scooters available.
Our bed was so comfortable and soft - we had the best nights sleep ever. This is the first hotel that has provided hot chocolate packets with the tea and coffee facilities - what a lovely plus!
Awesome rate for the quality of hotel/motel. We will definitely be recommending for friends and family that need to stay in Canberra :)

Nice rooms, good wifi, ac works. Little bit of road noise.
Nice and close to food area .
Parking on site

My first night here. Room is good. Allowed me early check in. The apartment has everything i need. Busy road outside. The wifi is good. Rooms have been updated.
J. C.
Great sized room with balcony and convenient location where you can walk to shops and places to eat. Free on site parking is a plus and staff are super helpful and friendly.
N. B.
Was really surprised at how good the room was-for $118 for the night, would have no hesitation staying again or recommending it.
Everything you needed was in the room, including two power boards on either side of the bed.
The bed was very comfortable, only two pillows, but when we asked at Reception, it was no bother, and on our return there was two more pillows on the bed.
The room was double glazed, so no road noise, and we loved the balcony looking out into main road.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
A. &. L.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was newly renovated, clean and got everything we needed. Super value for our family of 4. Highly recommended.
E. T.
Can afford not very expensive and good stuff quiet and nice to stay with your family.highly recommended.

From the outside it looks pretty old and run down, but the studio room I stayed in was pretty nice, it seemed to have been renovated fairly recently, maybe in the last 6 or 7 years, and the bathroom was good with excellent water pressure in the shower. It had a decent kitchenette: small fridge, microwave, sink and appliances, but no dishwasher or ordinary oven. It was about the same size as a normal hotel room so it might be a bit small for more than one person. Its well-located, about 10mins walk to the city centre, so there are plenty of restaurants close, which is important because they don't have a restaurant or, indeed, any facilities other than a laundry. My only critique is that the balcony looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months, with spider webs everywhere; the cleaners must just clean the room (which was in pretty good shape). It only cost me about $700 for a whole week, so it was pretty good value; clearly they focus on the core issue for a hotel - the rooms - and don't bother with extras.
E. B.
This is an older property but overall we were happy. It was clean and had a good size kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and the room a good size. The staff member my husband dealt with prior to our arrival was fantastic. We were going to miss the check-in time and she organised it so we could pick up our key and get to our room with the minimum of fuss. We'll stay again.
C.
Great location, easy walking to plenty of places to eat and drink. Seems to be recently renovated, was clean and tidy when we showed up and reception was very polite. Car parks are tight and limited but there is a car park across the road with free parking on weekends.
L. S.
Great location, reasonable rates. Comfortable, spacious rooms
F. R.
If you're after budget stay this place is ok. But is it a value for money? not really, the features of the room look great in the photos but in actual it's really old and outdated. The AC in the room wasn't cleaned or serviced and I could see a thick layer of dust. The TV in the room didn't work. Also a lot of unnecessary furniture in the room making it difficult to walk around.
I doubt I'll book again!
T. W.
The hotel is in a great location but the facilities need some TLC for cleanliness. The shower head was rusted and for bath water looked brown. For a family the accommodation options were affordable
P. J.
The first place we check is available when staying in Canberra. Friendly and helpful staff, rooms fit for purpose for short/medium & long term term stays.
M. S.
Good place for short stay. Clean and specious room. Though building looks a bit old from inside (paint is dull), but with reasonable price, can't complain. Room was warm though it was freezing cold outside. Kitchenette were clean and we happily made our dinner and breakfast. It is very close to Canberra Central so shopping and walking around is not an issue. Loved our stay here👍
K. L.
First time stay at this hotel - a regular visitor to Canberra and usually stay at another establishment a little out of town and wanted to try something closer to the city. I was pleasantly surprised that the room we stayed in was top class. They are doing renovations at the moment, the external appearance looks very run down and so does the foyer however we got a newly renovated studio - it was superb! Service was great and friendly. They have an Italian restaurant on site... didn’t eat there as we had other dinner plans but will try it next time round. Will stay here again.
n.
Pretty good for its price. Good size room for a business trip. Only downside is traffic noise but being Canberra it doesn't last all night. Oh and it suffers from the usual poor lighting of hotel rooms. TV choice is good although the screen is a bit on the small side. Excellent bathroom and amenities. Would stay again.
r. b.
Good accommodation in a very good location. Nice and roomy.
Careful with the carpark underneath. Its ok if you have a mini or a motorbike. Very very tight so tighy that my car was damaged
p.
Parking is not secure and is too tight. The steet location is noisy. The lobby entrance is drab. The lift well is very old. There was a council garbage wheeler bin parked in the hall way entrance to the room. The room was not executive suite. Just a room with a kitchenette. Pretty disappointed. Barely 3 stars. Maybe 2 1/2 stars.
D. &. N. A.
So much room, it was great! We took our own food & used the kitchenette. Beds were really comfortable. Bathroom, quite big. Kids loved the pull out beds & the tv in main bedroom + the kids room. We will be staying there again.
a.
For the price, this hotel is OK for a 1-2 week stay. It's within close proximity of Canberra's city, allowing access to transport (nearby metro & bus stop) and shops (Canberra Centre) while still maintaining a budget price ($150). The room I stayed in could fit 4 people, and was in decent condition with a large crack in the wall and multiple small cracks throughout the room. The bathroom was clean, and came with toiletries. The kitchen contained appliances like a toaster and a microwave. The hotel appears to currently be under renovations as it looked like an abandoned hotel in some areas being dimly lit. It's loudish at night from the kids running down the hallway. Overall an enjoyable experience for the price.
J. A. I.
The rooms have been very nice. It's not the most polished, but it's got plenty of space and I cannot hear my neighbors through the walls - and I walked into the hall and heard a screaming toddler, but inside the room I could hear nothing, especially since I brought my own kids, it means I'm not disturbing my neighbors either. As a parent, this is the best possible outcome for a room. There is covered parking, with a closed gate and staff by 24x7. In the room I'm in there is a kitchenette, which is great so I can get groceries and keep costs down. As far as I'm concerned this is the perfect place for a week-long trip.
C. C.
Very basic/budget level room but it was comfortable and clean. No fresh air in room as windows didn't open (we didn't have a balcony room) so a bit suffocating. There are hotplates there for cooking in kitchenette and as there is no ventilation, a stale cooking odour smell was present. The Italian Restaurant downstairs was lovely for dinner and breakfast. Squishy underground parking was great if you were driving a mini!!
M.
The basics were clean but areas like cupboards were full of dust. Heaps of room. Though dont expect a park at the hotel. They dont have enough parks for the amount of rooms so we had to take public parking and move it or pay early morning (which goes against later checkout). It was maintained but an update in the wet areas will be needed (atleast in the room we stayed in). Grout falling out and different colour tiles from previous repairs.
Could hear the visitors till early morning in the room next to us and water hammer noise in the walls. We almost thought the spa was going to fall through the floor 🤣
Staff are lovely. Easy check in and out. Would stay there again because you cant beat the location and size of room for the price.

Based on the low price we paid, I feel that this hotel isn't the best option when staying in Canberra but with a nice, homey 70's feel it does seem to be a beautiful place to stay the night or two. While it might not have been as modern as possible, all rooms have a kitchen or kitchenette and you will have access to many amenities you might wish for on your stay. I would visit again if I was looking for a cheap stay for over a night, but probably not much more.
R. H.
We had to stay overnight in Canberra and looked a cheap place close to city centre. The Madison looked ok on paper and was only $89 a double.
On booking in we found that parking our large ute was very tight but not impossible.
Our unit, which was on the first floor and accessed by lift, was larger than we expected. We had a kitchenette and a balcony overlooking Northbourne Avenue.
The unit had smart HD TV and free Wifi. The queen sized bed was comfortable. We had wondered about road noise but the double balcony doors ensured we got a good night's sleep.
Some aspects of the unit were a bit tired and showing the unit's age. The light switches were only on one side of the bed and lights were hardly bright enough to read a book. The bathroom had fluorescent lights and we realised that we are now unaccustomed to waiting a couple of seconds for light to come on. An upgrade to LED lights would be beneficial.
The shower had very poor water pressure and there were a few defects in tiling.
These comments detail some minor issues which did not detract from our overall satisfaction with our choice of cheap accommodation close to Canberra city centre.
T. M.
Alright for a short trip. Our bedroom was spacious in comparison. Rooms are a reasonable size with a kitchenette and a spa bath. Staff were friendly and helpful. I do recommend you read the ***agement responses to reviews as the way they write their responses is how I was treated at the hotel.
D. H.
Once you get over the “bubble and cuddle” (?!) package that this hotel has running as it’s main advertisement for decades, it’s actually quite a decent spot. It’s a relic of seventies Canberra through and through and needs to be appreciated as such. Yes, the plumbing is loud and beds are a bit on the soft side. But rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly.
M. K.
Don't judge by external appearances as my room was very modern, clean and spacious. I obtained a very good tariff through Agoda and it also included free car parking (parking was a bit tight ) also within walking distance to city centre and lot's of Restaurants. I would stay here again.
Y. C. K. (.
Lukewarm water in a spa suite was a bit of a disappointment. Not a bad place, but not the nicest I've stayed in either. Overall, OK :)
F. M.
It's an average hotel. The place is really dated and the building and the furnishings could really use an update. The rooms are really dark with no fresh air (unless you have a room with a balcony). There aren't enough lights in the room and the ones they have don't do a great job. The matresses, linens and blankets seem like the same ones they've been using for the last 20 years and need an upgrade. The shower had so many grime stains on the tiles and it too was really old. When I checked in the guy at the front desk was pretty slow and not very helpful however the female staff worker when I checked out was great. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here.
G. L.
Rooms are clean, but dark, not a place that you can spend a lot of things in. Open shared areas are nice, found that this was the only place the internet worked well. Location of hotel close to trendy places to eat. Appeared that business travelers stayed there. Depends on what you are looking for, elegant it is not.
k. B.
Reception Ladies are all lovely and accommoding. Stayed in Studio Rooms as they are all refurbished lovely little balcony overlooking Pine Trees/Park. Close to Shops,Food, Tram. Spa or Restaurant not available at moment, but enjoyed our stay. Will be lovely when refurbishment is finished.Thank you.
W. B.
We turned up reasonably late at night after making a booking online while on the road. Wasn't sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, everything worked. My room overlooked a side street and there was a little traffic noise but all in all not disconcerting. All in all this hotel represented great value for money
R. F.
Everything was honest and clean but more importantly the Staff went absolutely above and beyond, Amy and her manager at reception helped me sort out a booking error I made and she was polite and genuine.
Customer service is rare these days and I was surprised by the professionalism shown. I would recommend
F. B.
Parts of the 1st foyer area are uncarpetted, which can make it a struggle with luggage and walking as uneven surface.
But with saying that. The one bedroom apartment with the fold a away bed was quite humorous as it looked like a. Cupboard.
The main bedroom bed was comfortable.
The spa was of good pressure with jets, the exterior was cracked. It was difficult to get out of spa as the bath floor became slippery when myself and my partner tried to get out.
The trolley to bring your luggage from your car to room, didn't have a staff member to assist, we had to ask, with the amount that we paid @ $188 per night you would think that you would'nt need to ask
Each rooms aircon, was comfortable.
Overall being our first time. We felt comfortable.
T. M.
The waitress on the breaky shift was very nice which helped a bit. Night ***ager Gary on sold the room to someone else as the intended occupants couldn't produce credit card that secured room at the time of check in. The room size was good, and well equipped. We spent a few hours here and had a great time.
G. H.
Conveniently located on Northbourne Avenue at Braddon, ACT, this hotel has been recently refurbished. The decor is modern and adequately appointed, (the bathroom is vast improvement). However, wi-fi coverage is poor and parking a car can be very difficult in the space provided.
T. M.
I wasn't expecting much but we were surprised by the size of the room. Our room was clean but smelt like it has previously been a ""smoking"" room. Recommend having breakfast elsewhere as the cost did not represent value for money. On the positive, the proximity to downtown Canberra is excellent with everything in walking distance.
R. T.
Staff were efficient and friendly. Room was clean and is a 10 minute walk into the CBD. This will be faster once the trams are operational. Great for an overnight stay if you're working in Canberra but the hotel is looking very dated and weary. Definitely time for a refurbishment.
A. Y.
I stayed at this hotel recently for two nights.
The price was pretty good ($160 per night for four people).
Location: The location is very good. It is located right on the main road, being on Northbourne and Girrahween. There is a free bus (101) that stops on Mort St. (behind the hotel) that takes you around the centre of Canberra.
Parking: Free but can be a little harder to find at times. If you have a wider car, spaces can feel a little narrow. Street parking is 2 hours and metered during the day, unlimited during other times.
Decor: It is half a time warp. It opened on the 20th March 1985, and it still partly feels like it is 1985 inside.
Reception Staff: I did not interact a lot with them but the times I did, they were nice and efficient so they were fine.
Rooms: The rooms are okay. I had a room with 4 beds. The beds in the bedroom were soft and the other two (which fold down) were harder, which I prefer but YMMV.
The facilities are there: stove, fridge, basic utensils, cookware and crockery/cutlery, TV with cable. The A/C was near-new and the TVs seemed new too.
They also include Kit-Kats in the fridge, which is a nice touch. Though our fridge was bigger as the fridge in the cupboard seemed to be broken... The stove is an electric one and is pretty old (probably the original one from 1985) but works. The rangehood is the same. There is no oven though.
The shower was okay, though our toilet seat was cracked when we got it.
The housekeeping was okay, a few harder to get spots were missed but unfortunately, those spots are partially-visible. But it was okay.
Hotel Facilities: There is a Gym, Spa and free Wi-Fi.
Gym: The gym was pretty basic but usable. There are some weights, a seat and three treadmills. good for some basic stuff. It does get hot in there, seeing as it is right next to the spa.
Spa: I did not use this facility so I cannot write anything on it.
Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi was very spotty, it did not work in room (222) at all, however, it works near the lift.
Lift: This lift is small and also very slow.
The reason it got three stars is because the moment I entered, the carpet smelt musty and it triggered my nose somewhat and that was after I had taken some medication to stop it happening, I had to take it again. Then I found the room was slightly dustier than it should be, which seemed to be the case beforehand.
But the location and price make up for the deficiencies (Age, Dustiness and (sometimes) lack of parking).
Overall, I would come back, considering the location and price.
C. M.
Very central to eateries in Lonsdale Street, 2 blocks away, less than $10 fee by Uber to Clubs. Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed, kitchenette. Will definitely return.
S. h.
The lobby is good!Room not bad but toilet is a bit dirty lots of mould!Never mind cause the price is cheap.Hope can getting better!l
L. M.
Great value. Really comfortable for large groups. Staff really understanding and helpful. Lots of rest linen and towels available. The tub was a bit old and needed a really good scrub - Probably not dirty, just a tad old. I'm just a bit fussy. Overall good stay.
T. M.
Staff were friendly and knew how to do their job. Not just OK clean, it was pretty much spotless. The reason I chose it again was that it is so close to the centre of the city, and is so reasonably priced. There were free in house movies available. I would stay here again but I would definitely take ear plugs.
A. G. U.
I was disappointed to hear that the spa was out of order. We paid a cheapish price, stayed during a weekend and parking was very limited but its free where as most other hotels around this area charge. Also as mentioned is previous reviews the beds are very soft. The location is the best thing about it.
A. F.
Good value for money and the staff were nice. It is very noisy if your room is on the main road, the noise of buses and trucks outside was annoying, it would be great if they had double glazing. Car park is good, but a tight fit and a pipe was leaking in the roof all over our car. Good location though, easily walkable to wonderful cafes and bars.
T. M.
The room was clean quite out dated in need of a Reno. Position is good, just a 15 minute walk to restaurants and the mall. Staff were very friendly and helpful when required. Must have cheap electricity. We were impressed and would stay again and have recommended to friends.
T. C.
We booked a 4 bedroom unit. Good spacious rooms with kitchenette. Had cooking pots, cutleries and plates in the kitchenette. Central location. Value for money hotel. However not enough parking for guests.
T. M.
I have stayed at the Capital Executive Apartment Hotel on several occasions when I have visited Canberra and have always come away pleased with the accommodation. The hotel is in a very handy position within walking distance of the city. The room was more than adequate. The room was very clean.
T. M.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel at the price. The location of these apartments was great, we took a 20 minute stroll to the War Memorial and a 10 minute walk to the City Walk shopping centre. I wasn't neither, but am relatively fit so I didn't mind the walk to the shops.
A. S.
Great value, and the newly renovated rooms are great.friendly staff and close to pubs and restaurants.
s. m.
Had a lovely stay with the hubby and kids, the chocolates on arrival were a nice touch! Nice and clean (even if it was outdated) would have given 5 stars if the bed wasn’t saggy at one end and we had to sleep upside down.
M. H.
Great stay. Only 1 night. Would stay for more if had time. Room was clean and large. Balcony, desk, fridge, kitchenette etc. Didn't seem dated to me, but I am from New Zealand. They even let us park our large moving van out the front off the street!
C.
Clean and recently renovated. Well equipped and comfortable. Friendly staff, secure parking and short walk to good cafes, restaurants and city centre shopping.
P. M.
The hotel is a short walk from several cafes and restaurants and a short drive from parliament house. The room was a good size with a decently equipped kitchen, though it's starting to show it's age with wear and tear visible throughout the room. There is parking onsite, though it is very limited and you may be forced to park outside in the street parking, which is 2 hour parking in business hours, Monday to Friday.
R. I.
Even though this place is not officially rated 5 stars, they do have some of the traits. What matters is that they've got hard working staff who will do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Then again don't expect a luxurious experience but it's good enough for a quick stay.
Q. L.
Inexpensive, clean and convenient location with parking. However watch out for really hot water for showers. Was having hall carpet replaced when we stayed so I suspect further renovations soon.
S. W.
Great place to stay for easy access to the CBD. Free car parking available and close to public transport too. Rooms were clean with double glazing to keep out both noise and the cold. Welcome KitKat in the fridge was a nice surprise. Would definitely look at staying again on return trips to Canberra.
R. F.
We got the spa room for a staycation and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is super close to great restaurants and bars. Pretty quiet and has parking.
K. G.
Tastefully renovated modern rooms the outside appearance doesn't do it justice. Beds are very soft which isn't to my liking but that's a personal preference.
C.
This is the second time I have stayed here. The rooms are dated but clean, spacious and close to Braddon's many Lonsdale Street cafes and restaurants. And the parking is free! Definite value for money. I would stay here again.
T. M.
The hotel is close to the centre of Canberra. Booked mainly due to the central location and easy walk to the city centre. Staff were great. ***agement & staff professional as lift broke down by guests while I was staying there. Staff were friendly but overall ***agement of the hotel seemed lacking.
T. M.
For those that are less agile, it is quite a walk to the City but a bus stop is just outside the accomodation and the bus services are regular and cheap. The location is great and within walking distance to some cafe's and restaurants. Grin* Overall, not a bad accom for the price we paid. We'll be back.
M. H.
Ok service, great location - hotel pretty clean. Spas out of order, noisy plumbing. Overall satisfactory but for the price I expected more.
T. C.
Older style accommodation. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Room was comfy and very clean. Great location. Easy access to good food places. Short drive to major sightseeing places. Would definately stay again.
T. M.
A short walk or bus at door to city centre. An easy 15 minute stroll into town and nearby coffee shops made the location very convenient. There is no allocated parking spot for individual rooms just a general under parking area. Didn't take into consideration interest charges on the card.
K. B.
Good accommodation for a overnight stay. Services and room was clean and tidy. Located in the heart of Canberra city is a plus. Overall summary is, good hotel for small family for a reasonable price.
E. B.
This place wasn't the best I've been to. However it was acceptable. It provided a nice bathroom and good kitchen facilities, along with a sauna. The Wi-Fi service was weak and didn't seem to work. Also there wasn't any parking, resulting me in parking in nearby streets.
T. M.
Furniture/interior outdated 30 years. I have recently had the displeasure of staying at this establishment for a number of days and found the service appalling. We typically don't spend much money when we are not going to be spending much time in the room. Location was excellent, just a short walk into the central shopping area.
K. B.
Convenient location to city able to walk Canberra Central. Difficult to park on site and facilities are quite old. Very noisy pipes when taking showers. The staff are extremely polite, friendly and very very helpful
H. H.
1. Cheap and good location, clean bedroom with 4 single beds.
2. In room kitchen equipped with amenities.
3. Clean and Spacious dining room just in front of bedroom.
4. Good service.
M. N.
It was located on northbourn in the city near to parliament. Overall experience was good. Its room was studio type and neat and clean. Services was very good. We can stay again there if we'll get any chance.
B. P.
Limited parking someone else's nails in room. Pics of room didn't match the room. Wasn't told about discounts hotel had tivsome attractions and spas didn't work
G. S.
Faded glory.
Has a "Cuddle 'n' Bubble" package. Barnaby? There's Durex in the vending machine.
Other stuff: Quiet, pleasant, comfortable common lounge. WiFi is pretty useless. Has a small gym. Rooms adequately comfortable. Front desk friendly and helpful. Walkable to Civic. A short stumble to eateries on Lonsdale St. A longer stumble back if you stop at Bent Spoke.
N. J. D.
It's an old style hotel. Rooms were clean and tidy. There's a restaurant at ground floor and the food was good. Receptionist was very friendly. Overall it's not a bad place to stay.
F. V.
I had a terrific experience at this hotel. The bathroom sinks are extremely sturdy.
S. H.
I am in the middle of my stay. Second time I am staying here. Reasonably quite around here. Very close to the city.
P. H.
Needs work to get to 4 stars and beyond
A. P.
Walk in booking. Very reasonable rate.
Really nice rooms with kitchenette. very comfortable. Highly recommend.
However:
WiFi at $10 was very crappy even by crappy hotel wifi standards. Slow, dropping out. Dont bother with Wifi. Use your own.
Breakfast: Eggs not well cooked and make your own tea with cool water and a tea bag for $2. Recommend going elsewhere for breakfast.
T. G.
An okay, cheap alternative to some of the other places in Canberra. A little run-down but comfortable enough to spend a few days. Near the trendier cafe area and close to public transport I had no problem finding a good coffee or getting around the city.
G. J.
Great staff nice rooms bed was far too soft. Price was the selling point. Not enough parking.
L. M.
Very friendly staff and not too far from some very good places to eat. Would definitely stay again.
P. D.
Close to the city, reasonable priced.
M. D.
I was simply picking up an item left by a friend who was a guest, one front desk attendant seemed like he was on work experience (don't think he was though) as he seemed a little too casual, hands in pockets, etc. The other attendant was very helpful, and professional however.
N. G.
Good budget accommodation in a great area, close to everything. The renovated rooms are really nice!
N. R.
Clean and neat with very good housekeeping. Issues were plumbing noises heard through walls and lack of.parking for guests. Very convenient location
R. S.
Pros:
Kitchenette
Location
Cons:
A bit unkept
Staff were not concerned about drunken party, with tenants verbally abusing other guests from the balcony.
A used lube tube was in the car park the next morning.
Summary:
Would I stay here again?
Probably not
C. P.
First time staying here and it's Great, the Staff are So helpful, close to the shops, will definitely stay here again.GO THE RAIDERS.LOL
T. P.
Clean and functional. Nothing fancy. Staff were friendly. I’d stay here again if my usual preferences weren’t available. Handy for Lonsdale St and the city.
J. D. M.
Great price and closevto town centre. However not enough parking for all guests
T. M.
I felt staff were cold at check in or maybe just not having a good day or about to clock off Not sure. There were dead insects on the sink and floor. It's close to Canberra city shopping centre. The price was cheap and we got what we paid for.

There is NO restaurant
This motel is advertised as having an Italian restaurant. As at 11/1/2019 there is no restaurant.
Apart from that, comfortable, clean and good value for money.
Get in early for a parking spot.
K. M.
Great location. Room was a little dated, but it had everything we needed. Service was great! Parking abit tight!
D. S.
Big spacious rooms. Location is close to the city, pubs and restaurants. Everything you need in a hotel room. Outdated decor and it's starting to show its age a bit but otherwise clean and comfortable.
D. M.

Great location being right in front of the free city loop service bus. But no internet access in room, only in common area and taps keep dripping.
